Junior Athletics Errand Closed

The threat seemed empty, or at least the third year did not really take it seriously when Jack mentioned he would make them run for ages. But Alan also wanted to make a good time and get the parkour done fast. As he watched he would involuntarily cringe at the sight of the taller Hufflepuff running into one of the hurdles because it certainly did look painful. He truly hoped that he would be alright and furthermore expected that George and him might be able to catch up some of the lost time. He could hardly blame Jack or later on George as he watched his encounter with the monkey bars. A couple of times the third year feared that the kid might lose his grip on the monkey bars but was glad that he could at least finish them without falling down even though it took a lot of time admittedly. Perhaps they could have done all of this smarter.

As George made his way back to the group, Alan was ready to make a change and hoped that he could possibly do better and get this over with. George would slap his arm and Alan wanted to make a remark pretty badly as he felt the light sting of the palm, but instead he run as soon as the hand connected with his arm as he steered towards the rope net and began his way up...

As he made his way up his worn down sneaker would often slip away and a couple of times he would nearly slip through one of the holes provided by the rope net. It did not help that the sun would shine brightly, blending him and making it quite difficult to see where he was going which only further slowed him down as he made his way to the top of the net. Eventually he would still manage and reach the goal before as quickly as he could, yet carefully as not to slip away, Alan made his way back down. At least he had managed to do this more or less, yet he could clearly have done better. He would jog back to the group with a sheepish smile and came to a halt before his two friends.
