Nice to Meet You
Alan in no way had meant to drag the others mood down like this and felt a little guilty to have brought up such a sour topic. He did not want the other to worry about his position or the reputation his position now held as he was sure that Rafael had nothing to worry about at all. "I m-mean it! You a-are encouraging m-me who is s-sca-... c-can't fly to l-learn it and y-you even o-offered to t-teach m-me!", he tried to lift the other boy's mood a little bit. The tone in which he talked how much he was appreciating what Rafael was offering to do for him. Alan had for a while now been scared of lifting up into the air and never meant to do anything beyond staying on the ground. Funny enough a challenge he gave himself was the only reason he was even willing to try, but now with Rafael encouraging him like this he did not only want to fly, Rafael made him want to fly well.
"I d-doubt th-that I would b-be any g-good for th-the t-team," he had to admit with an amused chuckle. He was no good at it now and probably would never be any good at it. Not with fear being in the way at least. Possibly Rafael could help with that, sure but he also was quite aware of the fact that no one is born a master and he would have to be quite lucky to even get to an adequate level. Humans were not meant to fly, even if they were wizards or witches. It was the whole reason they were born without wings after all. When Rafael asked about the person that had helped him before, the third year would grin slightly as his mind wandered, thinking about Neculai for a quick second before letting the grin melt into a warm smile. "H-His name i-is Neculai, I th-think he is c-co-captain n-now," he would answer the question honestly and glance at Rafael so he could catch any change of demeanor. Alan liked Neculai, he was possibly the Ravenclaw he knew best since he actually had not all too many Ravenclaw acquaintances.
