Still a little bit shocked at her own rudeness, Rose smiled when the older girl kindly reassured her and introduced herself as River. And the other guy stammered out that his name was Alan.
"I'm Rose," she forced out in her soft, American voice. "Rose Moon."
Rose liked the kind of people who were kind to people younger than them. When Alan invited her to sit down, Rose's eyes lit up and she said, "Thank you," sitting down on the bench. She wondered why Alan was stammering like that. Maybe it was just something he did, or maybe it was a condition he had. Maybe he had the hots for River. She was pretty beautiful, after all. She wasn't judging his stammer- Rose was just curious. She was curious about a lot of things and Alan's stutter was one of them. She wasn't sure what they were talking about, so she just listened to the conversation. That's what she usually did when there were at least three people in a group. If they asked her a question, she would reply, if course. Not saying anything back would be rude. But she wasn't about to start rambling on. She was an extreme introvert, and that's just how she handled conversations.
