As she was inspecting the dresses, a girl came up to her. Ana remembered seeing her in the common room; a housemate, was her name Grace? "You excited for the ball? Which dress are you gonna buy?" "Very", Ana admitted with a little smile. Trying to answer Grace's second question, she looked around, trying to catch a glimpse of the dresses behind the cluster of students who had now entered the small shop: a blonde girl in a pastel pink outfit that strongly resembled a wedding dress, a student sporting a floor-length gown with a flower print, a person at the counter selecting a blueish length of fabric and poring over some white lace.Interactions: @Grace Mint @Aurelia Notrésvace
"I'm not sure yet", Ana said cautiously, trying to figure out which dress would suit her best as her housemate rushed off to a dressing room clutching a ballgown with a puffed skirt.
Ana's gaze fell onto a floor-length A line dress in shades of blue that were gradually becoming lighter towards the bottom, the bodice and upper part of the skirt dappled with small white dots, larger pearls sewn onto the fabric stood out among them and clustered to form a sort of belt around the waist.
The young witch tentatively extended a hand and ran her fingers over the fabric before gripping the hanger and removing the beautiful dress from the metal rail it was hanging on. With a nervous but excited smile, she hurried into the dressing room.
Hastily, Ana undressed, leaving her own clothes in a crumpled heap on the wooden stool next to her. Then she put on the gown. The fabric was cool and pleasant on her skin.
She immediately fell in love with the ballgown. Ana's dark skin looked amazing against the blue; the white pearls against the dark blue colour of the dress's bodice made her think of stars in the night sky. Additionally, the colour was definitely suitable for a Ravenclaw - it was time for Ana to show some house pride. When she gazed into a mirror, the dress - slightly limp around the chest since she hadn't closed the zip yet - made her features, somewhat tomboyish if paired with her usual clothing style, look shockingly delicate and feminine.
Breathless, she reached for the curtain that hid her from view while she was in the dressing room, but stopped dead in her tracks. The scars. About three quarters of a year ago, the eleven-year-old had been attacked by a werewolf. Apart from the painful and terrifying transformation she had to go through at every full moon ever since, Ana still bore the physical marks. Pink and white scars streaking across her left arm and the respective side of her stomach, the skin irregularly overstretching at the edges, some of the scars clearly recognizable as bite marks, reminding her of the brutal, destructive attack that had changed her life forever.
Ana just couldn't put back the dress. It was beautiful, she knew that she wanted to go to the ball wearing it. But the gown was strapless. Sleeveless. Her arm exposed, the scars laid open for everyone to see. She was barely capable of coping with what had happened, even without people staring and asking. She knew how society treated werewolves. She would never be viewed the same way again. Word would get around quickly.
However, another, more defiant sentiment rose up in her. She wouldn't let the attack hold her back even more. That werewolf had taken a lot away from her that night, but she refused to give it more. Ana would wear the dress. No matter what.
With a deep breath and a confident expression, she stepped out of the dressing room and approached a girl - a Gryffindor, if she wasn't mistaken - wearing a black dress with a slit along the side of her dress, revealing the student's naked leg. "Excuse me, could you zip this up for me? I can't reach it", Ana said in a friendly tone, turning her back to the girl and pointing at the zipper.
“You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I'll rise!”

Cassie had heard about the rumour milling around at the castle. Usually Cassie could careless about as mundane as a ball. Sure she's come from pureblood and from early age, her parents always take her or force her to attends such activities but Cassie hate that kind of thing. But since she's in a new school and time to reinvented herself, she thought what could possible go wrong.
And so that afternoon just like some of the students that goes to Hogwarts, she found herself walking on Diagon Alley. One particular shop, Madam Malkin's. Soon when the bell above the door chimed, she saw faces she knew. She saw the girl Ravenclaw girl, whose from the errand (Ana), the girl from when had a little confrontation with in the train (Ivy) but the other 5 faces, she hasn't seen around. It's a big castle, duh! Cassie chided to herself.
Cassie ask the shop assistant where she can find dresses or gown, the store clerk pointed to direction on the wall by the looks of them, she wasn't the only one asks about this. Soon Cassie walk into the direction of the dresses. She pulls dresses after dresses - Long sleeve? Nope! I need to still can breathe and move while wearing that thing -, gowns after gowns - too puffy, too long, to princess-y - from the rack but so far nothing catches her eyes. The others, Cassie saw that already clutches their choices of clothing, they clutched it like if they put it down someone will snatched it. Cassie chuckled at that.
But since she's not a fan of ball or any sort like that, she opted not to be so grand about her dress. Sure the name of the event will take place is Blossom Ball but Cassie knew after this event commenced, the dress will be kept at the bottom of her trunk. So she searched again, finally she find what she's looking for. The dress itself is a long black dress with some silver details on the upper part. Even though she wasn't grand about her dress - Cassie still want to show her best sides - which is her back and her athletic leg.
She picked up the dress, go to the fitting room and tried it on. Cassie give a little twirled in front of the mirror, it looks good on her [here!] then she looks for matching clutch and earrings. When she's about to pay for her items, she saw a distress girl, looks through items feverishly just trying to find an item she needs. "You okay there?"Cassie asks since she can't see the other girl face.

Sabrina freezes all movement and looks at the person who just talked to her, "Um, I-I'm fine, she brushes her hair back from her face. I..." she thinks for a second, scratching at her neck, "I just don't like new people as much..." she says, she notices that the face she's looking at looks familiar, she saw her get sorted, "Um, you're a first year right?" she holds out her hand, "My names Sabrina, what's yours?" she's trying to be brave, meet new people, make friends, and be brave. She is determined to not only have one friend at Hogwarts for the seven years she'll be here. "I like the dress you chose, it really suits your figure and complexion." she holds up a pair of earrings after a quick glance at the jewelry, "I think these would look splendid with that." she gives them to the girl looking at the ground, hoping she thinking she messed this up, Determined, that's what you are, determined, she thinks, she messes with her hair twisting it around her finger, tugging on it gently, brushing it out of her face. She pulls on her cloak, tugging it around her like a cocoon protecting her from all the hurtful words she's heard before.

The girl responded to Cassie questions. She's a bit shuttered and scratched her neck. Cassie looked at the girl who have different eyes color. Cassie think it's cool and she trying to keep her face neutral. "I just don't like new people as much..."She added. "Um, you're a first year right?" The girl asked Cassie and holds out her hand, "My names Sabrina, what's yours?" The girl introduce herself as Sabrina. Cassie also seen this girl when they were sorted. Her name was called not long after herself.
"Yeah, I'm first year. I'm Cassandra, Cassie for short"Cassie stated and shakes Sabrina's hand. "I like the dress you chose, it really suits your figure and complexion." Sabrina holds up a pair of earrings after a quick glance at the jewelry, "I think these would look splendid with that." She added.
Cassie tilted her head to look upon the jewelry that Sabrina handed to her. Cassie tried to guess what it is. "Thanks. Is it a snake?"Cassie said her gratitude for Sabrina's compliment then she inquires. Indeed it is a snake, Cassie thought after look at the jewelry for some moment. "I'm about to pick up this (earring in the link above) but your choices seems more exquisite than mine, so thanks"Cassie switches what she already holds on her hand with the one Sabrina picked.
Cassie can tell that Sabrina not used to many people at one place with the way she messes with her hair. Twisting it around her finger and tugging her hair then brushed it out from her face. She pulls on her cloak, tugging it around her like a cocoon like she's trying to protects herself. "Not a fan of crowded space, huh?"Cassie speaks up. She looked around, the room barely crowded but maybe it's different for this girl.

The task was simple, purchase a dress and a pair of shoes and she would be on her way. An easy feat, one that Aurelia would have achieved if it weren't for the hindrance of the two first-year girls. One merely seeking for a conversation, she assumed, the way she nervously stuttered a simple "Um... hi?" and the fact that the tonality of her voice rose into a question rather than a statement gave Aurelia the impression that the younger wanted something. Porcelain skin, brown hair and sky-blue eyes, Aurelia was met with a familiar visage with a turn of her head. To where she met this young girl was a glimpse of time which the fourteen years could not recall. However, to the younger Gryffindor's probable dismay, Aurelia was not looking for a conversation - but she was not impolite either and returned the questionable pleasantry with a kind, "Hello," before turning away.
The dress fit and was perfect for the occasion, there was no need to remain in the elegant piece of apparel any longer even though if she would prefer otherwise. Back to the changing room was where Aurelia was headed, but to her inevitable chagrin, her journey was met with am interruption of a Ravenclaw girl in the glow of a glimmering royal blue gown. The task the younger girl asked of her was simple, one which Aurelia found no reason not to oblige. What Aurelia noticed in the instant which back was turned against her were the ragged marks on the girl's dark skin. What would have caused such scarring would have been the product of a brutal incident.
Marks of a Werewolf.
Young the dark-haired girl was. To suffer such a fate would have been traumatising. If she were human, the monster hunter might have emphasised more, but this girl was far from mundane now. There would not be a monster hunter without the monster. Sure, this child did not seem at all of a threat, but having studied on werewolves Aurelia knew that the sanity of all Lycanthropes was all under the mercy of the moon. This little lycanthrope was intending to attend the ball and Aurelia intended to keep an eye on her. First thing first, getting to know how this girl came to be the victim of a werewolf."Your marks, correct me if I am wrong, they are that of a Lycanthrope?" the words left in a whisper intended for the girl only. "I know a few others like you. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."
"This dress is lovely but unless you intend for a majority of the school population to find out about your condition, I suggest finding a dress with sleeves," There was a tone of sincerity to her words.

Grace smiled at Ana as she got more dresses, she grabbed a few and tried them on, none of them were really "her type" so she looked around more, maybe she could look at shoes and bracelets or something, Grace sighed and looked around, she noticed a cute floral bracelet and put it on, she loved it so she payed for it and slipped it on, she smiled and went to the dresses, she found a beautiful floral lace white dress, she loved it, it swooshed as she walked into the dressing room and put it on, perfect fit and everything, she smiled as she looked at all angles it was great, Grace took it and payed for it, she finally had a dress! She was so excited for the ball, her first one ever! Grace did heard some rumors that the other balls went horribly but she had some faith, not much but some, she smile at the other kids as she held on to her clothes, neatly putting them into her bag, Grace flipped her hair back and smiled very brightly, she finally got the dress of her dreams, she actually remembered dreaming about a dress that looked similer to this one, so she was happy.
