"Hufflepuff! Just like Newt Scamander! What about you?"Ava said. She was starry eyed and had a big cheshire grin on her face. Too much energy, I can't! Cassie said to herself but didn't voice it out loud. "Slytherin, just like my dear old Father"Cassie provides and there's pride in her voice. There! the cat now out of the bag. Let's see her reaction, Cassie smirked.

Ava now bounced in her chair a bit before trying to settle down. Ava looked back out the window, she pressing her face so hard to the window like she's trying to glue herself to it. Cassie can't help to let out a chuckle at the girl eagerness. Definitely Hufflepuff! Cassie told herself. Then Ava saying something about Cassie being smart. Cassie smile politely at that.

"The train move fast, if you notice"Cassie deadpanned. "But..,"Cassie continues "If you want to open the window, sure be my guest. Just don't tell whomever in charge for this train I told you to"Cassie smirks waiting the girl will do what she want or not. It'll be entertaining for her to get into trouble this early but maybe not so much for Ava.

If Ava sure open the window, whomever in charge in the train will blame the one with 'mischief' face, namely her. Cassie didn't mind being the escape goat though if it's mean to feed the Huffle curiosity and maybe later on in years (if they become friends along the way) they'll think back to this day and have a good laugh about it.

Marilyn fidgeted in her seat with a wide grin. "Oh, I hope the library does! There's so many books I have back home but didn't have the space to bring them." But as she was finishing talking, another soon-to-be student had approached them and asked to sit. A brunette holding a book came into the compartment, and Ava spoke first to introduce the two of them.

"Hi! Sorry we didn't notice you at first!" Marilyn's cheeks flushed with embarassment. She knew she had a habit of hyperfocusing when she was excited.

That's when the train began to move, just a small burst and they were off. Marilyn could only be sure they were moving by looking out the window. The new girl introduced herself as Cassie, and they asked what houses the two thought they'd be a part of. Ava responded near immediately, wanting to be in Hufflepuff. Cassie wanted to be in Slytherin, and seemed proud of it too. But Marilyn didn't know for herself. "I'm not sure, honestly. My dad was a Hufflepuff, my mum and siblings are Ravenclaw. I know some other family members were in other houses, but I don't know what I'd want for myself! They all sound fun, and I know there'll be plenty of people to make friends with in each! That's my main goal, anyway."

Ava turned to the window, wondering if they would be able to open the window. Marilyn grew curious as well, moving over to look outside next to Ava. Cassie voiced their indifference, and Marilyn said, "I think it would be fine. Why wouldn't it? It'd be fun! Here, I'll help if you want!"

"...So many books I have back home but didn't have the space to bring them."The light brown haired girl said. It Is what Cassie heard as they entered the compartment consist of two young students like themself. One of them name Ava. Ava introduced her name and the companion she's with name Marilyn to.

"Hi! Sorry we didn't notice you at first!"Marilyn's cheeks flushed. Clearly she's embarrassed. "No worries"Cassie replied then smile. You should smile more often, Cash. When you smile people will know that you're an approachable person, their mom once said. When Cassie asks their travel companion what houses they'll be sorted into, Ava stated immediately as a Hufflepuff, just like Newt Scamander whose Cassie can tell Ava adored and themself stated they'll be sorted into Slytherin.

Cassie blinks back as the two others girl didn't reacted that much when Cassie told them, Cassie could be sorted into the serpent house. Maybe now days the view of Slytherin house member to the others houses isn't that bad, not like it used to be. Cassie thought internally. And for Marilyn herself, she wasn't sure where will be she's going to be sorted.

Since her dad once a Hufflepuff, her mom and siblings were Ravenclaw, and some other of her family were in other houses. Marilyn also stated that whatever houses she's may be sorted into, it will be fun and there'll be plenty of people to make friends with. Then Ava said to Cassie about opened the train window but she's afraid herself would get into trouble if doing so.

Cassie said what's on their mind but on the other hand, Marilyn also curious just like Ava did. "I think it would be fine. Why wouldn't it? It'd be fun! Here, I'll help if you want!"Marilyn offers her help to Ava. Cassie shook their head. And they say Slytherin was the trouble makers, Cassie thought. But then Cassie change their mind about their statement earlier.

"You know what, let's just open the window. I want to know whether we get into trouble or not by doing it"Cassie smirked as they stood from where they seated and walk to the window. If they get into trouble that'll be an interesting story to begin the school year with. Damn what dad said about don't make or get into any shenanigans. I want to make adventures and stories, Cassie smile upon this.

Ava nods to the both of them and looks back to the window. She takes a deep breath and then opens it laughing as the wind rushed into their cabin. She stuck her head out and grinned at the wind, "Woohoo!" The young girl brought herself back in with her hair a frazzled mess now and her glasses a bit covered in dust, "The train's magic does not extend outside the train, guys." She giggled a bit and closed the window so as to not create more of a scene in case they would get in trouble and smiled at the pair. The young lady chuckled again and sat back down, [color[#808000]"Slytherin! My Auntie May says they're known for being really ambitious."[/color]

She didn't know much else and looked to Marilyn and clapped her hands,"Oh, me too! My auntie is Ravenclaw!" Wow, two new friends and they weren't even off the train yet. She was feeling super lucky today and hopefully the luck would stick. She started trying to fix her hair and winced as she felt the pull on her tangles, "Do either of you guys have a brush?" She didn't necessarily think this through and she didn't want there to be signs of her possible disobedience.

A sudden gushed of wind hit the three First Year students. Cassie know this type of shenanigans, even though small and insignificant, will get them trouble eventually. Ava - like she said she would open the window - did truly open the window. Cassie thought the young soon to be Hufflepuff did not have the courage and guts to do so.

Once the window was open, Ava grinned at the wind. Saying something along the line the magic does not extend outside the train or something like that. Cassie just amused to the girl demeanor. She giggled a bit. Just as fast as Ava opened the window, she closed it up so she does not get into trouble and smile to Cassie and Marilyn.

Ava said her Aunt was a Ravenclaw, Marilyn mom's was a Ravenclaw so did Cassie's mom. "Wait! Your mom was a Ravenclaw?"Cassie inquires to Marilyn. "And your Aunt was too?"Now Cassie address it to Ava. "My mom was one too"Cassie told the pair. "I wonder maybe they attended at the same time? Guess we had something in common then"Cassie stated.

Then Ava asked the pair whether they have brush or not. Cassie rummaged through their hand carry bag and took out a brushed. The brush is silver and have an image of an Angel carried a child on the back of the brush then Cassie offers it to Ava.



The train then come to a halt. They barely near Hogwarts and Cassie know what is going on. Cassie saw some of students from other compartment, when the trio opened their compartment window, they looked at the trio liked they going mental. Cassie stepped out from their compartment and as they predicted, the conductor of the train marched from upfront towards their compartment.

Cassie closed the glass door and took their seat. "Act normal!"Cassie warns the other two. Not long after that, a big and tall man with light skin and trimmed beard opens their compartment door. "Oi, Lasses! what do ya think doin'?"The conductor asks with a bit Irish accent.

Ava started brushing her hair and paused a moment as Cassie spoke, "Act normal!" and looked to the glass doors. She started brushing rigorously as if that would somehow make them look less guilty. When the conductor arrived she had big doe eyes and swallowed a bit looking to her new friends before speaking, "W-We were just talking about books and I wanted to try out a new brush..." It wasn't a complete lie so maybe the conductor would buy it? What if he didn't?

What if I get kicked out? What if they get kicked out?

The girl kept brushing and bit her lip looking for a bit of help from the other two. She was already deciding that if they did get in trouble she would say she pressured them into it and that they tried to stop her. It wouldn't be fair for them to take the blame for something that was her idea in the first place. Honestly, the conductor seemed very mad and she didn't want to make him angrier by lying, but she wasn't lying! She just wasn't mentioning the window. Brown eyes flitted to the brush and wondered how she would play that one off. Maybe she could say she stole it from Cassie? That would be lying.

She could say that the smart girl was just trying to do her a kindness after Ava had been so rude! Yes, that could work. Maybe.

Cassie was the one that sat near the door. After Cassie warns the other two, Ava start brushing her hair rigorously. Ava stuttered out her answers and Cassie need to facepalm them self internally. Ava kept brushing and bit her lip looking for a bit of help from either Cassie or Marilyn.

The conductor looking at the fresh First Year faces one by one, until his eyes landed on Cassie. "You, las! Start talkin' "The conductor said. Cassie look up at the conductor face with blank expression. Cassie smirked then get up. "What do you think I did?"Cassie asked the conductor with challenging tone. "C'mon lass, don't make other waitin' "The conductor sighed. Cassie rose her eyebrow.

"I said what do you think did I do?"Cassie repeated their question one more time. The conductor looked around. Cassie also feel that other students start noticing what's going on. "Alright, then. Just this once"The conductor looked down at the watch that he wore and pointed his finger to Cassie. Cassie almost bit his finger off.

No one point their finger to me, Cassie seething. As the conductor left their compartment and walk up front again, Cassie huffed their breath as they sat down. "The nerve of that man"Cassie tried to calm them self down. The usual talk mile a minute Ava has quite down drastically. "You alright, mate?"Cassie then asks Ava seeing how nervous the other girl was.

Ava nodded and stopped brushing her hair as it frizzed a bit with the curls getting agitated. It was close enough to being done right now, she'd write to her auntie about what to do to get the right things for her hair. Maybe she wasn't using the right brush for her hair? She was just glad they didn't get into trouble and gave a nervous chuckle when the conductor left, "That was amazing! You're super smart!" Having such a clever friend was really useful! She handed the other girl the brush and glanced to Marilyn and then back to Cassie, "I was worried that we were going to get kicked out because of something I did. I hadn't considered that they might..."

Not to self: act innocent and adults are more likely to believe you are innocent.
Additional note: Cassie is super smart.

The girl took a shaky breath and laughed a bit more relaxed and looked back to the window, "But I guess we didn't have to worry with you here! How much farther do you think we are? She tried to see if she could see Hogwarts from here without opening the window again. She remembered being told it was big, but her aunt wouldn't tell her too much more saying that there was a such thing as asking too many questions on an adventure could spoil the journey.

As soon as the conductor left the three girl compartment and Cassie asked whether Ava was alright or not, Ava nodded her head. The girl hair a bit tidier than before. Cassie still a bit seething but they know the three of them are clear from the trouble that the three of them cause earlier, for now.

Ava said what Cassie did was amazing and Cassie is super smart for doing so. "It's not about being whose the smartest, it's about being calm in the middle of chaos. No matter it is big or not, also next time maybe you could be a bit calmer?"Cassie chuckled but not in mocking way. "It is endearing, really what you did but someone once tell me when you're in trouble do not give it away"Cassie gave advice to the brown hair soon to be Hufflepuff.

"We might but like I said you need to calm in the middle of the storm or what that analogy said"Cassie told Ava about the possibility of the three of them being kicked out even before the three of them stepped their feet on Hogwarts ground. Ava then asking whether the three of them near Hogwarts yet, Cassie look out from the window. Not far from their position right now it should be around 15 minute more on their journey. On the far way view, the tip of on one of the tower can be seen.

"I say maybe be in 15 minutes more we will be arrive, give or take"Cassie told Ava. This is it! the moment of their best 7 years will begin. "I know the school is huge and this could be our last time we met each other. I just want you to know, it is a pleasure sharing this journey with both of you but if you see me on the hall or corridors or anywhere we accidentally bumped each other do not be a stranger, alright? So friends?"Cassie enquires as they reach out their hand out.

Ava smiled and calmed down a bit, if Cassie said being calm was the key then she'd learn. You had to be calm around animals too!

Calm, calm, learn calm...

She took a breath and while she couldn't help continuing to glance at the window she wasn't bouncing in her chair anymore. She beamed and started giggling as Cassie stretched out her hand and placed hers on top of the young girl looking to the blonde sweetheart, "Are you in, Marilyn? Hey that rhymed!" She got a starstruck look for a moment as she put that together and laughed again, but kept her hand in place. It was great that she already had two new friends to write about to Auntie May! Maybe her mom too.

She hadn't seen her mother in some time, but maybe her aunt could send a letter or two, just to see how she was doing. For now, she had a whole new school to explore, friends to make, teachers to meet. Food to eat! There went the petite girl's calm as she bit her lip a bit in nerves and was staring a bit intensely at the other girl who had remained pretty quiet through this exchange. Maybe they'd all get sorted in the same house! Maybe they'd all go to Ravenclaw!
