They were going to let her play? What fun! All the metamorph ever wanted in life, was to be accepted. To be treated like any other human being. To be a child. Few treated her as an equal, finding that most were often afraid of her. The lad would make it very clear that he would not be partnering up; to which the lioness replied with a snort. "Quite bold of you to assume I was even looking for a partner."
She would watch him scratch the soft, grey fur behind Schrödinger's ear; before giving the Ravenclaw a playful nudge. There was a stark difference between the two children, in their socialization, and even appearance. Like day and night. "I can hold my own, without your assistance." She nodded, a hum of affirmation escaping her lips. "Besides I think I would quite like to see you dance a nice Foxtrot. Don't sssuppose you know how to Madison?" She gave the boy a devilish grin, her needle-like teeth glittering in all their pearly glory. "Guess I'll find out soon enough, wont I?" The lioness chortled at the bird.
She was well aware of what the Ravenclaw was capable of, seeing that the two had teamed up during the most recent S.W.A.G game. But she was also well aware of her own capabilities. Sure, the lioness was fine with spells, but she was a slippery little thing. With a small shrouded hand, the prefect would give the Ravenclaw a tauntingly, dismissive wave. It was all in good humor, of course. "Best of luck. You'll be needing it." She curtsied in a respectful manner, palms facing the sky, head bowed.
Once done with her taunting, she would turn to focus on the rest of the group. "Pleasure to meet you all-" She missed her fellow third years announcement, of the game starting. The lioness stood there for a moment, confused as to why some of the other players were dispersing. "I- oh. Oh. We're starting?" Yes. Keep up. She jumped, not having the time to take her own wand out, she would try her best to move away from a rather bold Hufflepuff, lad; who was sending a spell her way.

Willow was practically jumping out of excitement, the ability to run freely and have some genuine kid fun (with magic now of course) was something she had dearly missed. It seemed like Hogwarts was mostly work and little play, and it had really been a downer in Willow's mood overall. She continued to stand next to Alan as many new possible friends came up, this was going to a lovely game. Hopefully one that no one would get injured in. They were just going to have a dance party by the end of this, what could go wrong? She was mainly worried about the cat that was along for the tag ride, maybe she could ask to say hi to the cutie later.
Her wand was already at the ready, twirling around her hand the fire of competition lit behind her eyes as she zoned out thinking about strategy. Should she attack or dodge first? Maybe if she attacked off the bat then she would be seen as a worthy competition, but then she might get more targeted... Then again if she dodged she might lose the opportunity for the perfect shot... Her wand was tapping her chin as she was thinking. She turned to ask Alan something before realizing that everyone had dispersed and the game started. A small sound of surprise escaped, and out of instinct her eyes locked onto Alan who hadn't moved that far away and went for it. Her wand whipped to point directly at him. "Tarantellegra!" No mercy, even for friends.

Xailah's banter coaxed a surprised scoff from its target, though the gawk aimed her way was framed by a broad grin. "You tease now, Miss Alptraum," Peri spoke softly, dreamy mannerism grounded, for once, by a tune as cheeky as the finger wagged her way, "but I have an excellent sense for Swing! I s'pose it is an unfair claim, considering you aren't likely to see it for yourself any time soon." The lad was not one to tease others. He abhorred a bully, but banter between friends was a filling kind of fun, and it was almost a shame that their playful guff must come to a pause. Her cocky curtsy was answered by an exaggerated bow before the boy leapt into action.Interacting with @Xailah Alptraum and @Donald Fish
Pericles darted across the grass, eyes wide with excitement, hand a firm fist around his aspen wand. The young Ravenclaw made sure to put a decent distance between himself and the others, swerving behind a stone which only barely reached his knees. He crouched, settling for an immediate (albeit less than optimal) cover over none at all. That metallic gaze of his flicked frantically between potential targets. For all the playful jeering between he and Xailah at the start, he selected a simpler target: the poor Hufflepuff whom had just fumbled his wand. Peri drew a deep breath, took aim, and incanted "Tarantallegra!" That gentle voice took on an utterly uncharacteristic depth and solidity: firm, decisive, completely concentrated in comparison to his usual drifting eyes and dreamy voice. The wand tip whipped the proper movement with pristine perfectionism, tracing the shape of legs while aiming at Donald's.

Tarantallegra @Willow Anderson
The third year had heard his friend cast the spell or what had seemed like an attempt of doing so. He could not help but grin when her spell did not launch. Not that he would usually be happy about someone's failure - especially if that someone was a friend of his, but this failure meant that he would continue to be part of this game and that was what he was so cheeky about. However he took it as a challenge of some sort, for Willow to target him in an instant he was willing to return the favor in this round.
The grin on his face only widening, he lifted his wand again making the necessary motion and accompanying it with the incantation "Tarantallegra" as he pointed the cherry wood tool at her feet. He really hoped that this spell would be a success and glanced up at her face, wondering whether she would react by dodging or by taking an offensive stand as well. Either way he was excited for whatever was going to happen now. He had not assumed the game to turn out to be so fun when he had asked the surrounding students if they felt up to it. Realizing that now however he would make sure that he would repeat this in the future and hopefully the word might spread and they could play the game in an even bigger group even! For now however, he hoped that his spell would be a success and that he might get revenge at Willow for targeting him as soon as the game began; not that he was actually affected by it, he just played along in the hopes people had fun.

It was a good try for the Hufflepuff lad, the execution was right, but it would appear that his butterfingers would get in the way. "Oh, bravo!" Amused, the lioness would watch the badger fumble with his wand, before witnessing the stray spell, hit the ground. The sprightly green grass, twisted and jived beneath the badgers feet. It was a good shot if his goal was to make the grass dance- considering one other girl participating, was unable to even successfully cast the spell. Quite embarrassing. The metamorph hoped that she did not have the same luck of either badger.
It would not take long for the metamorph to find her own target. Having seen that the spell targeted at her, missed, she would have the time to summon her wand from the inside of her robes. The dark wood rested snuggly in her grasp, as she pointed the length of polished Chestnut wood, at her victim. Despite the previous, playful taunts bettween the lioness and the bird, the bird would not be her target. Sure, she wanted to see him dance, but there was a better target that was currently present. The Hufflepuff girl had the right idea, to target the Gryffindor boy.
Being a fellow third year, he was going to clearly have the upper hand in this game. He presumably had more experience and was probably faster than the majority of the games participants. The prefect would take a step back, before jumping in to attack. She needed to size the boy up first. She needed to find where he was most vulnerable. Her golden, feline gaze would jump from him, to the Hufflepuff that had originally attempted to attack him. Nodding, she would confidently send a quick spell his way. "Tarantallegra." Hopefully the spell would be cast with success. Perhaps the odds would point in her favor today?

Dancing grass was not exactly the goal of that last move. It was a cool effect though. Donald was a bit afraid that now he'd be a target as he had tried a spell early. Somehow he had not seemed to become the victim of too much ire. A quick glance around made it obviously that others had decided to plant their feet and throw down. Which meant they'd be easier targets, hopefully. It did seem one of the kids was looking his way though.
"Uh..." he muttered to himself as he quickly considered his options.
The boy was clearly aiming for him and everything seemed slow motion. Donnie had only a moment to decide if he'd try to dodge it or take a risk at the boy's aim by throwing his own. Go big or go home, right? There was no promise dodging would work either. A clear choice presented itself to Donald: shoot back and see what fate says.
"Tarantallegra!" Donald stood firm in the grass, pointing right back at Pericles (whose name he did not actually know yet).
Donald quickly flicked his wand in the leg-shape and pointed right at the boy's feet. He hoped the confidence and eagerness would overpower the pressure of the showdown. Only one could walk away from this shootout. Well... unless they both failed horribly. In which case they just had to try again. That would be a bit sad.

Willow was fully confident in her spell, feeling the magic coursing through her wand before ultimately fizzling out. Her lack of practice was showing, she should really take some time with the a Professor to practice her skills. Obviously it wasn't good enough just to learn about them in class and forget about them. An obvious pout came over her face as she lightly tapped her wand against her hand trying to double check if it was working today or not.
Her head snapped up when she heard Alan shouting out the incantation himself, wand directly pointed at her feet. With a small yelp of surprise she moved to jump out of the way. She should've expected retaliation as soon as her wand fizzled out. Her and her wand would have to have a talk about this later. Her eyes drifted as she saw Xailah targeting Alan now, if she survived this attack maybe she would have to target Xailah next. She seemed like a strong competitor. Truthfully they all did, Willow was suddenly worried about holding her own in this. At least Donald got a spell out of his wand even if he did miss. This was no time for insecurity, she had to stay strong in her knowledge of her own abilities.

To Pericles' immense relief, his spell struck before Donald's could find its mark. A fleeting wisp of laughter petered from him, a nonantagonistic and ultimately innocent sound, followed by a brief wave and a "Well-played mate! Better luck next time?" He grinned and even winked at that, an exceedingly rare spectacle of cockiness coming from the boy often lost in the clouds. Out on the grounds, with wand in hand and spells to sling, his stare was bright and present. He practically crackled with liveliness. For all the formalities of his upbringing, Pericles had been denied a number of experiences. He hadn't had the freedom of wandering through a neigbhorhood with others his age. He hadn't played football (the Spanish or American versions, mind), having been home-schooled, and he had not enjoyed the simple pleasures of being around other kids. Either he was giddy for hexing other people, or the opportunity of a good game brought something out of the sleepy student.
Perhaps it was lingering sentiment, or perhaps Pericles meant to try and go one on one with his third-year companion. Whatever the case, while he trotted out from cover and weaved evasively across the grass, he next took aim at the only other remaining opponent. "Tarantallegra!" That voice deepened again, solidified by certainty, eyes unwaveringly fixed upon @Willow Anderson.
