Friends, Old and New PV Lauren Wildhawk

Lennox felt her blood boiling, looking at Lauren, then her mother, then Mark. She had practically drawn blood from her own nails digging into her palm. She glanced one more time at Lauren, shooting her an apologetic look as she mouthed, "I'm sorry, this is for us though."
With that, she shot a look at her noticeably angered mother, and squared her shoulders, looking up at Mr. Wildhawk. "Mr. Wildhawk? You have a lot of nerve to flirt with my mother the way you have when your wife is out on a trip. If you paid attention, you probably would have realized how special you caring is to Lauren. Do better." Her tone had shifted from angry, to straight ice. Something she had perfected in arguments with her parents.
Allegra grabbed Lennox by the arm, pulling her away from the pair of father and daughter, her face red with anger and embarrassment. She chastised her daughter the way back to the alley, only pausing to apparate home, then continuing. Sure, she hated being chastised, but it was nothing new. Though they played it well in public, they were hardly loving towards each other. They were family by blood, but bridges were constantly burned and rebuilt. It hurt, but Lennox was so used to it that she barely felt it anymore.
Once they returned to inside the house, Lennox took her bags upstairs and slammed her bedroom door. She felt tears stream down her cheeks and became upset that she even cared what her mother did. As much as she wanted her father to know what happened, the young girl didn't think she could ever look at her mother again. The young girl sniffled, but glanced down into her clenched fist, and pulled out the piece of parchment she had taken from her mother's pocket as they had moved. Nimble fingers work well, and she smiled as she saw the address on it, plain as day. If nothing else, she at least had a few moments of satisfaction, knowing that even if her mother could not write to Mark, she could write to Lauren. One victory.

If you want, we could owl in character to keep the plot going!
