Private to @Aaron Flynn
It had been a particularly pleasant day. Koko had her cat behind her, rubbing against her legs and almost tripping her as she tried to walk. She loved Jax, but he could be a grade-A pain in the neck sometimes. Grade-A pains in the neck were some things that Koko tried in vain to avoid. She wouldn't avoid her cat, though. Jax was almost a part of her. She couldn't just leave him behind.
Koko sighed as she clutched her books to her chest, her blonde hair swaying behind her as she walked. Her feet tapped the ground, making a tip-tap sound when they hit the stone floor. There were armour stands dotting the corridor, and seeing them reminded Koko briefly of when she had once gotten her robes caught on one.
She wore her House robes today, clad in black and green, a pink Prefect badge shining on her chest. She did not wear it proudly, not yet at least, but she wore it because she felt she needed to. She couldn't have explained the feeling even if she wished to, for she lacked the knowledge of what it was, but she wished she knew. Koko wished she knew many things, and the majority of those were never told to her. She would remain ignorant about many things for quite some time.
The low light level in the corridors unnerved her even though there were torches used to light the walls. Koko liked fire, yes, but did that mean she wanted it in every hallway? No. It did not. Koko was tempted to use the Wand-Lighting Charm if any torches went out, but she doubted that they would. She was still coming to terms with how magical everything was here after living with her half-blood adoptive father who lived quite the Muggle life. She was used to seeing vegetables diced by hand. Knowing that she could one day do that by magic was exciting. It was inspiring.
Koko bent down and stroked Jax's blue-grey fur as he rattled with yet another purr. He was the energetic type of kitten who would love on anyone. He was such a cuddle baby... Koko loved the little bean, but she hated how his head-butting antics would always trip her. It wasn't always his fault, but it usually was. She wouldn't blame him, though. She loved him.

"I hate this school, it's so weird and different." I mumble as a walk down the halls, which are more like mazes than hallways. How is anyone supposed to find anything here? I've already accidentally taken 5 wrong turns, and this map doesn't help at all! I crumble it up and throw it towards one of the torches, it hits the flames and falls, slowly crumbling within itself, burning away. I push my hair back, a nervous habit I have, and shake my head, trying to just let the feeling go, with each step though, I can feel my temper heating up. The torches flicker and grow brighter as I walk past them, which brightens the hallway a bit more. I hate being so shy here! I would've asked someone sooner if I hadn't felt so awkward just walking up to someone like that. My anger rises more and more as I dwell on the occurrences that happened today, "I don't even know where my bag is.. " Ever since I've stepped into this school, it's just been cold-shoulders and everyone else seems to know where to go. There was a red-haired teacher who had a wand up to her throat, that seemed to amplify her voice. I had tried to hear what she said, but with the loud mixture of children and trains I couldn't make out anything. My ginger hair gets in my face, but I barely notice, nor do I notice the torches brightening with each step. I know it's silly but I can't help but shed a tear of frustration. I miss the gang, I miss the streets, I miss home. I hate feelings. They can so easily take control of you. Now i'm crying, I bite my lip and clench my fists. I can't let anyone see this, can't let anyone see me so vulnerable, I turn the corner dwelling on my anger and the torches flicker brighter and brighter. Could this day get any worse? I wonder. As I turn the corner, I suddenly feel this sudden hit, I fall backwards on to my back and hit my head. Oh the pain! "Watch where your going, jerk!" I sit up in a cross-legged position and hold my head with my hands, "Shit..." I can feel a hole in my robe, it's on my sleeve. I ignore it, even though i'll have to pay for a new one, and put more pressure on the back of my head, this just tips me over a little bit, I cry some more, when suddenly I hear hissing. I look up a little, and there's a cat, it's back arched and circling me, hissing and scratching. It hasn't attacked me yet, but I look at it in it's eyes. It's quite cute actually. Another wave of pain hits my head when I looked up, now I have a killer headache. "I hate this school," I mumble. That's when I hear whimpering and someone crying. "H-hey, are you alright?" I get up and crouch down next to her, it's a cute girl with blonde hair and a small figure.

Wham. Ouch. That had hurt like a mothertrucker. And Jax, was he okay, had she fallen on him? Koko had a sudden flashback to when she must've been nine and a kid had fallen on her. She didn't remember much about it, though, except that kids seemed to be really rude these days. They all liked falling on hot blondes. What was wrong with them!?
Plus, she was now really happy that she hadn't been wearing a short-sleeved shirt or short pants. She wouldn't be all scratched up. Sure, she might be bruised, which sucked, but other than that... She wouldn't be too badly hurt. Koko, still sitting on the ground with a few books surrounding her, smirked when he cursed. So she was either annoying or he thought it was her fault, and she would believe the latter. Ouch... A whimper escaped Koko's lips as her brain finally came to the realisation that she had landed on a textbook. Damn it. She'd thought she had gotten away without a scratch, but no. She hadn't. Koko shut her eyes, trying not to cry, and instead of hissing like before Jax ended up rubbing against her in hopes that she was okay. A tear still leaked out, and she cursed herself for it. She was trying to toughen up. Couldn't she just be hard as diamond on the outside for a single day?
Apparently not, she decided as she wiped her eyes with her now-slightly-dusty sleeves. Koko wheezed, laughing sardonically at the situation, when she heard the kid's voice once more. Do I look all right? Koko smirked, still crying, also wondering why she was crying. She wasn't hurt that badly. Perhaps it was just the embarrassment getting to her. "I-" How would she answer this? It wasn't the type of question that was easy to answer... But... "I will be. And are you?" She sat up, wiping her eyes again with a shaky breath. "I-I'm Koko."

"Koko...you know, that's a really cute name." I give her a smile, trying to help her nerves. I can feel the sting on my arms and the back of my head, there was also a sharp sting on my cheek and I could feel the warm blood slowly ooze out. "I'm fine, but please, i'm really sorry." I stand up and hold out my hand to help her up. "A girl like you shouldn't cry on the ground. Let me help, please. It's the least I could do, since I ran into you," The torches around us all flare, I gotta control myself! "I'm Aaron, Aaron Flynn." I give her a shy smile. I brush the hair out of my face, and my emerald green eyes sparkle at her. I just have this feeling, that this year, might actually be a good year. I give her a bigger smile. My head ache comes back and smacks me in the back of the head. "Ow...chhhh..." I shake my head and try to hide that i'm hurt, I can tell though, that i'm not doing as well as I would've hoped. I've never been that good of an actor. My hand is still thrusted out for her to take.

She saw the boy smile and she felt... Less nervous, definitely. He hadn't been trying to hurt her. "No, you idiot, you're hurt." She wheezed and smiled, her eyebrows curving slightly upwards as relief escaped her. "You're fine. You're absolutely fine. A-and I'm sure I've got a bandage or something in my bag..." Koko started rummaging around in her bag, keeping an eye on the ginger. "Flynn, eh?" Koko smirked. She took his hand, concern spreading across the angular features of her face, and she stood up to help him.
"It's obvious that I hit you hard." Koko giggled softly after her sentence, but then she regained her composure. "I'm a Prefect, so I- I'm supposed to h-help you. And I will if I can. Do you have a class you were heading to?" Koko tried grabbing his hand to pull him up. She was still in pain, yes, but the automatic sweetness of this kid had made it slightly better. At least he, unlike most of the ruthless students, actually cared. Koko instantly liked this Ravenclaw. He was better than most - if not all - Hufflepuffs, and he definitely knew how to initiate a conversation. Koko’s gaze softened as she watched him move. She’d help him however she could.

"I'm fine, i've been hurt before. This is nothing, but a band aid would be nice," He laughs. "To tell the truth, just before this, I bumped into a couple Slytherin boys, and as you can see, they threw a couple punches and I threw a couple of my own." She finally took his hand and I take a sigh of relief knowing that I wasn't just a jerk and she walk away and have a bad day because of me. I take her hand and stand up. "T-to be honest, I don't even have a schedule yet, so I was just planning on ditching class and walking around the place." I look away from her, knowing it's not the best excuse and I realize that we're still holding hands, I pretend not to notice and instead I look at her and her cute face. She's around the height of my chin and has beautiful eyes with the perfect frame of her long hair surrounding it. I can feel myself blushing and I ruffle my hair with my free hand, a nervous habit I have. I can't pull away or then it'll draw attention to the fact that we've been holding hands for this long. "You know, I could just join you on your classes. I don't know what a Prefect is but it would help a lot a guide or something!" I laugh again, this time I can feel the torches get brighter and brighter with each second i'm here with her. My face already feels hot and I bet it's obvious with the torches this bright. I'm a little surprised that she hasn't noticed yet.

"A Band-Aid? I'm sure I've got something in my bag... Just give me one second..." Koko kept a smile resting on her lips to make him feel comforted. She wasn't aware of whether or not it was working, but he wasn't running away from her, was he?
Koko had shaken her head when he mentioned Slytherin boys. "You know, not all Slytherins are bad. I'm a Slytherin, in case you hadn't noticed." She still spoke softly as she rummaged through her bag, but her tone did give an air of warning. Be careful, the look in her eyes would tell him. Koko handed Aaron a bandage, awkwardly extracting her hand from his as her cheeks reddened. "U-uh, sorry," Koko stammered, thrusting it towards him. "Take this."
She smiled at him, her cheeks still the colour of roses. "That sounds all right. I am taking Second Year classes which would be too advanced for you, but you might learn something. We can get you a schedule later." Koko was moderately surprised that she hadn't stammered very much. Her eyes rested on Aaron's face, which was already starting to mimic the shade of red that his hair was. For a moment, she wondered if he was embarrassed.
Then, the worst realisation came to mind. All boys had cooties. Koko now had cooties. The horror wouldn't show on her face, but she would make a slight jolt and then begin walking, beckoning for Aaron to follow her. To be honest, Koko would have been surprised if she hadn't caught cooties yet, but this was still very scary for her. She was now infected. A grin crossed her face as she noticed that she could scare people with this. It was perfect.

@Koko Riddle
"A Band-Aid? I'm sure I've got something in my bag... Just give me one second..." She shuffles and continues smiling, it's a strange smile honestly and she still hasn't notice that she's holding my hand. I watch awkwardly, as she one handedly grabs her bag and searches through it. Koko had shaken her head when I had mentioned Slytherin boys. "You know, not all Slytherins are bad. I'm a Slytherin, in case you hadn't noticed." I smirk, she still spoke softly as she rummaged through her bag, but her tone did give an air of warning. When she turned her eyes sent a shiver down my spine, I take a mental note not to ever talk bad about Slytherin in front of this Prefect. "Of course I notice that your a Slytherin, but that doesn't mean that I should be rude to someone who's in a different house, before getting to know them." She finds a bandage, and then finally takes notice to us. Awkwardly extracting her hand from mine, her cheeks reddened. "U-uh, sorry," Koko stammered, thrusting it towards me. "Take this." She looks away from me as she hands it to me. I laugh a little and take it gently. "Thank you." I say softly, our hand brush slightly at the exchange and her face turns into a small tomato. I smile. "You sure your okay?" I bend down on one knee and place my hand on her cheek, "Your burning up." I look at her, "Does your head hurt at all?" My words are gentle and soothing, and my eyes, they're hidden behind my hair, but they're smiling.

Koko stiffened when Aaron pressed his hand to her cheek. What was he doing!? That was creepy. Aaron's behaviour reminded her of those weird boys for a minute before she noticed that he was worried about her. Oh. So he wasn't threatening. Koko forced a worried smile across her thin red lips, her eyebrows rising just a bit. "I do have a slight headache, but I've had one all day. I think I'm fine. You... You still seem hurt, so is there anything I can do to help? I don't know any healing charms, but I could just... Uh... Help you get to the Hospital Wing if you wanted?" It came out as a question. She wasn't sure if she could help him.
Koko had tried to start this year off confidently, but she was coming off to a terrible start. She eyed him curiously, deciding not to give off anything else due to her voice. She already seemed weak... Rosalie's words came back to her, reminding her that she couldn't be weak. Weakness wasn't allowed, said the voice inside her head. Koko swallowed. Yes, she knew that. The question was, however, would she want to be strong? That went unanswered, though one might imply that she, a little girl, could never be strong. Koko doubted that was the case, but she would still - albeit hating the woman - try to make Rosalie proud.
She hummed to herself as she bit her lip. This time, she didn't bite her lower lip nervously, unknowingly giving her lips a pink tint that could be considered her trying to beautiful. This time, she bit it to withhold a smirk from forming on her face. She did not want to appear haughty. She wished to appear as someone who knew what the hell she was doing - even if, at this moment in time, she did not. "I can show you to the Hospital Wing, where they might be able to give you a painkiller and show you to your next class," Koko offered after a few moments of painful silence, her words coated with sugar. The sweet tone she spoke in would hide her insecurity if she was doing it right. She had learned from a scary French lady. You can do anything, she told herself, and this time a smirk did appear on her lips, a haughty smirk not unlike the one her adoptive mother had worn daily. Koko could help him. She did know what she was doing. Someday, she told herself, she would take all these lies and make them true... Somehow...

Riddle stiffened when I pressed my hand to her cheek, she seemed really uncomfortable and I immediately regretted doing this. Taking my hand down, Riddle plastered another one of her worried smiles across her thin red lips, her eyebrows rising just a bit. "I do have a slight headache, but I've had one all day. I think I'm fine. You... You still seem hurt, so is there anything I can do to help? I don't know any healing charms, but I could just... Uh... Help you get to the Hospital Wing if you wanted?" Maybe she was just warm because of the torches? Wait, was she talking?! Aw sheet, what did she say? I zoned out. I nod, not actually knowing what i'm saying yes to. I think back to what she said, something about a headache she has and I think she asked me if I wanted to go to the Hospital Wing. I nod once more, this one more confident. I'm not quite sure why though but I knew that this "Prefect" wasn't as strong as she tried to seem. I had to give it to her though, I've seen her around the school and she could be the big kid, even with her small size. Basically she could be tough and scary but for some reason, not now. This Riddle girl lives up to her name, she's a riddle, that i'm set on solving. I stare at her as she seems to struggle with her own thoughts. Then immediately look down embarrassed. She went quiet for a while, both of us lost in our own thoughts. Suddenly a hum broke the silence, I look up and find Riddle humming to herself as she bites her lip. This time, she didn't bite her lower lip nervously, unknowingly giving her lips a pink tint that could be considered her trying to beautiful. And it worked, with her flushed cheeks and pink lips, her hazel eyes, lost, her blonde hair gracefully falling over her shoulders. "I can show you to the Hospital Wing, where they might be able to give you a painkiller and show you to your next class," Koko offered after a few moments of painful silence, her words coated with sugar. I grin, with every word I was slowly starting to understand her. She looked at me and a smirk appears on her lips, she looked determined to do something. "Y-yes please, if it wouldn't be too much trouble." I stand up and offer to help her up. That's when, unknowingly, my notebook falls out of my pocket.
