Questioning Summer
Reducio
Private to @Lallie Luna
Summer. It's beauties and sparkles that made Millie constantly feel good. But there was another thought on her mind. One of a specific red-head Gryffindor. The most stunning girl Millie had ever seen in her entire life. However, Millie would be feeling less nervous had she never met the girl in her life.
Her stupidity in telling Lallie about her ability made a special bond between the two, and the young girl had realized something terrifying. She had fallen in love with Lallie. But, what did that make Millie? A lesbian? Bisexual? After doing research, Millie realized that what she was feeling, wasn't that nerve-wracking. The opposite, actually. Many people felt the same way she did. It gave her a sense of comfort.
However sitting near the Great Lake as the Sun sat at high-noon, Millie was able to think her thoughts, rationally, and irrationally. She was nervous to tell her parents, what would they think? She had grown up in a loving, and accepting family, but would that change when she came out?
She knew how caring her mother and father were, but they were distraught after finding out Millie was a parselmouth, what would they say when she came out as Questioning? All these thoughts made her head dizzy. Luckily, her giant cat, Honey, was sitting next to her, sunbathing in the glorious sunlight.
"Oh Honey, what do I do with all these thoughts in my head? You always seem to know what to do- what with saving Alan, River, Isaac, and me from those pesky owls. I should really start talking to them again." Stroking Honey, Millie hadn't heard the footsteps of an approaching person.
Her monologue was rather important.

Questioning Summer
Ahh summer, the favorite time for any student. Not having to worry about deadlines or homework and just relaxing for a whole two and a half months. Lallie also was both lucky and unlucky enough to experience the phenomenon known as summer love.
Millie, the most beautiful girl Lallie's ever met in her entire life, had somehow waltzed into Lallie's life. Lallie had bumped into Millie at a bathroom of all places. They ended up having an interesting experience where Millie pushed Lallie into a bathroom corner, Millie told Lallie she was a Parseltongue, and Lallie tried to comfort Millie while she was crying.
Millie ended up leaving abruptly which made Lallie feel so sad for some reason. Lallie looked into it and she realized that she loved or at least really liked Millie. She didn't know what this meant for her but she was defiantly questioning. Then there was the Gryffindor Ball where she almost waltzed with her but then like every single ball it went a bit chaotic.
This worried Lallie so much because she didn't know if she was lesbian or bisexual, or how people would react. Should she tell Mille and her family? What if Millie was straight and got disgusted when she confronted her about this? What if her family didn't love her after that? While they seemed to accept the LGBTQ+ community the Luna's and especially her mother's side, the Kelly's, did have a bit of an oppressed background. Lallie's mother tended to shun her family's beliefs but what if that wasn't the case with the Kelly's homophobic beliefs?
Lallie decided to do something she did at the beginning of her First Year, skipping rocks. She stopped doing it because that was the reason she got her only detention. However, what happened at the beginning of year probably won't happen again so Lallie could skip rocks again.
Walking through the grounds to the Great Lake she saw someone in front of her. The one, the only Millie. She was just sitting there with a cute fluffy cat in her lap. She was in a bit of a pickle. On one hand, she wanted to talk to Millie, on the other hand, she didn't want to be awkward while talking to her but she was walking past her so she kind of had to talk to her. So she had two options, walk around her or talk to her.
'Come on Lallie! You're a Gryffindor, actually, be brave.' the voice rang through her head. 'Huh, the voice in my head is being reasonable. Negative but reasonable.' Lallie thought. Taking a deep breath Lallie walked up to Millie. She heard Millie talking to her cat. Lallie didn't find this weird, talking to your animals was a completely normal thing.
"H-hey Millie," Lallie said awkwardly, "Y-your cat's really cute." Lallie was never really good at starting conversations especially with Millie since she always felt awkward around her.

@Lallie Luna
It was the familiar voice that made Millie curiously lift her head and stop stroking her precious kitty. A girl with bright orange hair made her heart stop beating. Like a mini-heart attack. Honey didn't care, and just continued rubbing on Millie's hand, frozen mid-air.
The girl, Lallie, complimented the cat. Quickly, resuming from her frozen position, Millie looked down at the giant fluff-ball. Honey gave her a smug look in return. Silently swearing her cat off, the girl picked up the silver cat, and gave her a little wiggle. Honey didn't seem put off by this.
"Hey Lallie! The cat's called Honey," She smiled again and gave Honey a giant waggle. "She's a year and a half, and she's a giant Silver Siberian, as you can see."
She giggled to herself, before putting Honey down. Curiously, the cat waddled over to Lallie, and began nudging the other girl's legs. Though, Millie didn't call her off. Honey had an ability to do things that Millie didn't care about. Not that she didn't care, Millie just had no reason to tell the pretty kitty otherwise.
"Anyway, um, how's your Summer been so far? I mean- I know it's just started and all, but I mean it's still happening. Sorry- that's stupid." She shook her head, ignoring the red blush forming on her cheeks.

There was that voice again. Why did she enjoy Millie's voice so much? It was so smooth and sweet like... honey! 'Wait can Millie read minds?' Lallie thought stupidly before realizing that Honey was Millie's cat's name. 'Aww, what a cute name for a cat' Lallie thought. Her mom and brother were both allergic to cats so she couldn't have one. She was fine with that, she loved cats and all but she felt like she would be bad at taking care of one. She was better with something that wasn't as high maintenance like a dog.
"Aww, that's a cute name. Yea she has such pretty coat." she said as Honey walked up to her. Was coat the appropriate word for that sentence? Would fur be better? 'Lallie chill, Millie doesn't seem to care about what you say as much as you do.' Woah that was different than Lallie's normal voice. It sounded nice and reasonable, not dark and warped.
Lallie was distracted from this when Honey began nudging Lallie's leg. Aww, Honey likes her! She bent down and started stroking the cat. Not knowing where the cat liked to be scratched Lallie just pet her back.
"Oh, that's ok Millie. I mean it's been pretty good so far I guess. I mean we get to wear regular clothes on a daily basis now so there's that. I don't really know when I'm going back to my family for the summer but the stuff we can do at the summer camp sounds fun." Lallie said scratching Honey. She realized she was kneeling petting Millie's cat about a few feet away from Millie while they were talking. She scooted a bit closer to Millie and sat down with Honey in her lap so they could conversate in less awkward positions.

@Lallie Luna Please ignore the dividers, I'm testing them out
After sitting on the new girl's lap, Honey was very content with the constant petting. Not that Millie didn't constantly love on the kitty, she just did it absentmindedly, and it wasn't constant. The cat was pretty high maintenance.
Pulling out a bag of treats, Millie opened the bag, and pulled one out. The cat, catching on to what the girl was doing, sniffed the air eagerly. A chuckle escaped her lips, and she tossed the treat in Honey's vague direction. The cat leaped off (not very heroically) and ran towards it.
"She's very food motived, Honey."
It was quiet for a moment, save for Honey's loud crunches on the treat. Millie was thinking. Her mind curious on words to say. What do you say to this girl that you met maybe a month ago and now you have a super mega crush on them and you would love to grow old with them but it's almost certain that they don't feel the same way? And gay. Big gay. Mega gay. Ultra gay. Hell, Millie was supreme gay.
Not that'd she'd admit it anytime soon.
But even with her insane thinking, Millie realized she needed to say something to keep the conversation between her and Lallie going. Quickly Millie stood up, clutching the treat bag in her hand.
"Honey knows some tricks, do you want to see?"

Questioning Summer
Lallie watched as Millie pulled out a bag of treats. She lifted her hand off of Honey so she could do her thing. She may not have had a cat before but she's been around enough pets to know they love one thing more than attention, food. Sure enough, Honey hopped, or more accurately tumbled, out of her lap towards the treat.
"I can see that. I mean most animals are. She just seems more motivated than most." Lallie said with a small chuckle. Lallie wanted to get a pet soon. She wanted to work for it though. It would be so easy to ask her parents for a pet but she wanted to earn it. She didn't know what she would get, maybe a rat, an owl, a Pygmy Puff? She couldn't get a toad or cat since she needed to take them home and her parents wouldn't appreciate either of those.
Lallie wondered what Millie was thinking in the silence that followed. 'Probably how you interrupted her peace and quiet with Honey' Lallie guessed she did kind of just appear and then sit down without Millie's ok. Maybe Millie just wanted to say "Hi" and then leave.'Nonsense! She's clearly fine that you're here. She doesn't seem uncomfortable or annoyed.' It was an anomaly to Lallie why this angelic voice appeared and these two voices brawled only when she was with Millie. Lallie doesn't quite understand her pathological situation so she doesn't realize that Millie kind of brings out the best in her.
"Defiantly!" Lallie said happily. She always liked seeing pets do tricks. Not only it is cute, but it also shows how much the pet respects its owner. That's why it's rare to see a cat do tricks, they tend to not respect anyone but themselves.

So sorry for not replying sooner. @Lallie Luna
Millie couldn't help but give a sweet smile. She hoped that being able to show off Honey, Lallie would think Millie was cool or something. Not that she was, Millie was quite uncool, but Lallie didn't need to know that. Nobody needed to know that, in fact. Let's just hope that Honey being a lil bugger would impress the girl standing opposite of her.
Calling Honey over to her, Millie pulled out three treats, exactly. Honey looked up at the girl with a curious, but knowing expression. She grinned a little bit, as Honey seemed to realize exactly what Millie was doing. Holding up the first treat, Millie quickly called the command "Spin!" to the cat. Honey twisted in a small circle, before catching the treat Millie tossed. The sound of crunching made Millie grin.
Millie crouched to the ground, and held out her hand, and whispered the command "Shake," to Honey. The cat (most reluctantly) put her paw on the girls hand. Millie closed her hand around it and gave the paw a tiny shake. She put the treat on the ground, and stood up when the cat began to eat it.
Turning to Lallie, Millie held out the last treat to the girl. Seeing Lallie's confused face, Millie quickly answered.
"Tell her to lay down, it's her favorite command."

Questioning Summer
Lallie watched in anticipation as Honey waddled over to Millie. Granted, it wasn't that much anticipation since it was a cat it was like it was going to do a backflip. Then again, from experience, Millie has shown to be a very surprising person so who knows?
She watched as Honey was told to spin and then began to spin around in a small circle the same way a dog chases its tail. The most impressive thing Lallie saw though was when Honey jumped up to grab the treat and actually caught it. She knew cats loved food but she's never seen a cat make that quick of a maneuver that precisely. Normally, when cats and even dogs do this Lallie's found they just miss and crash into the ground.
Next Lallie watched as Millie told Honey to shake. She swore she saw Honey glare at Millie as she put her paw in Millie's hand. It was so cute to see Millie shake Honey's hand though.
"Nice!" Lallie said happily giving a small clap since Millie seemed to be done showing Honey's tricks. Millie, however, turned to Lallie holding another treat out to her. She raised an eyebrow in confusion as she looked at the treat and then Millie. What did she want her to do? She didn't know the other tricks Honey could do, if any, so why give it to Lallie?
"Oh ok." Lallie said taking the treat. Honey seems like a cat on the lazier side so it makes sense she likes getting rewarded for something she does normally. She took the treat from Millie's hand, and even though it was a cliche and they barely even touched hands and it was only for a moment Lallie started freaking out internally as her hand brushed Millie's.
'Chill out Lallie. It was just hand contact. You make hand contact with people on a regular basis.' Lallie guessed she was overreacting a bit. 'Nonsense! You have a crush on Millie and you're going through a strange time. It's perfectly normal for you to have these feelings.'
Lallie ignored them-she was tired of her voices so she just calls the voices "them"-and walked over to Honey. Lallie knelt down and placed the treat on the ground in front of Honey while saying "down" to her. When she used to have her dog Lallie would always do that to make him lay down so it's probably the same for cats.
As expected Honey lazily laid down and looked at the treat intently. Lallie stuck out her hand under Honey's head, and Honey scooped up the treats and started crunching on it. Lallie stood up and turned to Millie.
"That's really cool. Honey knows a lot of tricks considering she's a cat." Lallie said happily. Just as expected she saw how much Honey respected Millie. Granted Honey may be a little lazy and is reluctant to perform the tricks, but she still performed them for Millie showing deep down Honey respects Millie.

@Lallie Luna So sorry for not responding, I was taking a bit of time off for myself!
Millie gave Lallie an encouraging smile. Honey was always content with people when there was food involved, but who could blame her? After all, the treats had been enchanted by Millie's own father to taste better than they actually were. Vegan cat treats were disgusting, the girl found out. And secretly, her father agreed.
Promising to keep the sweet cat treats a secret, Andrew did a heavy enchantment- one that had been used on Millie quite often- and bam! the treats tasted good.
"Yeah, but damn, she's a brilliant cat. I don't know what I'd do without her," Oh great, another monologue. "Most people want an owl because it can deliver letters, but I like cats more. They're fluffy and intelligent, and super loving once you get to know the real them."
She broke off for a moment, sitting down to pet the cat, though she was looking right up at Lallie. "You know, I got her name from a muggle song?" Something she had only ever told one other person- and that was Isaac, who Honey both protected and liked- was the real origin of the cats name.
"Funnily enough, I've only ever told one other person, a boy named Isaac who's in our year. He's really, really cool," She smiled loftily at the faint memory of her, Isaac, and River risking themselves to save Alan, a poor boy who got in a terrible situation. "I've met him twice, and the first time we were hanging out, and the second time, him, me, and a girl named River had to save a poor Ravenclaw called Alan. They're all really cool." Suddenly, she snapped her head up, sighing.
"Sorry, I go off topic a lot. Honey's name came from the muggle song Sugar, Sugar. It was made by Bob Marley, who's such a cool musician, in 1998"

Lallie agrees with Millie. She's never really wanted an owl until she needed to. Hogwarts provides owls to the students to send letters so she doesn't really need one and when she's not at Hogwarts she could probably just ask her friends to borrow their owls to send letters. She prefers a pet that she can cuddle or love.
"Yea I just want a pet I can cuddle and owls don't really like to snuggle." Lallie said scratching Honey's head. Millie joined her in scratching Honey before she spoke up.
It was a bit of a surprise to hear Millie say that. Not that Honey's name was inspired by a Muggle song, that was common for Wizards and Muggles. Even pure-blood Wizards, including Lallie herself, watch, read, and listen to Muggle media. What was surprising was that she only told one other person and decided to tell Lallie the reason behind Lallie's name.
"No Millie you're fine, I'm the same exact way. I've never heard the song 'Sugar, Sugar' but I think I've heard of Bob Marley. He sings 'Three Little Birds' right?" Lallie said hoping Millie would know the answer. Lallie did know a lot more Muggle music than most people but that was mostly because she watched a lot of Muggle movies. So if she knew a music artist it was mostly because she saw them in a movie soundtrack.
"Anyway, I don't think I've met Issac but I've met River and Alan. River and I have done summer chores together. As for Alan, a chocolate frog I was about to eat kind of made Alan drop all his homework." Lallie said with a nervous chuckle. Lallie was embarrassed by that entire situation, she just made herself and Alan a fool of himself.
"So Millie how long will you stay at the summer camp?" Lallie asked, continuing the conversation. She planned going back sometime in August. Her father is planning on taking her and her brother to London to see her mom. She doesn't quite know why since it's been almost 4 years since they've visited her when she's working.
