It was a delightfully sunny late morning on a Saturday. The sky was a bit cloudy, there was a threat of rain in a few hours but for the time being the grounds provided a pleasant atmosphere. There were students scattered about the grounds, a few upper classmen making out. A lopsided ring of girls giggling about some feminine nonsense. There were a few others still playing catch with a furry purple ball that might be a Pygmy Puff but she had no intention of finding out.

Then there was Erin, a second year Slytherin although it was impossible to know this when outside of her house colors. She was often a standout, from her obviously dyed purple hair to her unusual attire that made the young pureblood appear to be taken from a different time. Her long, processed hair pulled back from her face and tied with a single strand of powder blue ribbon. She donned a simple, white ruffled  sleeveless blouse and a pleated plaid skirt. Her legs bare, less a pair of maryjane clogs and thin socks that ended about her knee. Like many purebloods, she never wore or for that matter even owned a T-shirt or a pair of blue jeans. Wordlessly she would amble the grounds, looking for a... well stooge.

Many of the second year students already knew of her. Those in the years above a mixed bag, but also were more likely to recognize her farce.

It was then that she saw him. The perfect mark. [Insert whatever it is that he was doing.]

She would approach the stranger and address him as casually as she could muster. "Like hai," Erin would announce attempting to display a sense of meek shyness. "I see that you're mostly like alone here and... yah... I am looking for a new partner for this like game I play," the sole of her shoe scraped against the stony ground as she initiated her first of many lies. She gave him a nervous smile, "I play this roleplaying game called heroes and villains," not a particularly original game, the game was being created on the fly. "I play it every Saturday, as a well villain," she continued. "And my usual teamates are sick." Sob story, got it.

She would give give him a few moments to process her story, perhaps poke a few holes in it. "I think we can finally beat Captain Courage," worst, tackiest hero name ever. "Can you like play, I will so teach you how to villain?"

The lake was rather beautiful on this day. The partial cloud cover gave the perfect environment to watch frogs. Galton hadn't worked the courage up to try to catch any, his parents words still hung through his head whenever he began to even think of snatching one of those green things. So for now Galton was content with watching from the side, playing with then end of his shirt to calm his fidgeting hands.

Today, like most days, Galton had a subtle red sweater on over a white shirt that extended past the end of the sweater. Brown corduroy pants covered his legs, which were tangled together like a pretzel. His short hair tussled around in slight breeze ever so often, but ultimately didn't change how it clung to his head. He ran a hand through it before he heard something.

"Like hai,"

Galton perked his head up to look at the new person. She seemed around his age, maybe a tad older, it was hard to tell with the hair though. Galton had always thought colored hair made people look older, probably because his parents said he'd have to be older before he was allowed to dye his whatever color he had been currently obsessed with. "Oh, hi I-" The girl continued before he could introduce himself.

"I see that you're mostly like alone here and... yah... I am looking for a new partner for this like game I play, I play this roleplaying game called heroes and villains, I play it every Saturday, as a well villain, and my usual teamates are sick."

Galton liked games, and he wasn't doing much at the moment, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a new friend. She mentioned playing a villain though, Galton wasn't the biggest fan of being the bad guy. To be honest the bad guys scared him sometime, they could get really into it. But being a good guy wasn't always was boring, right? Or maybe he could play the hero and she could be the villain?

"I think we can finally beat Captain Courage. Can you like play, I will so teach you how to villain?"

Ah, so he was to be a bad guy. He thought about it for a second. He turned his head and watched a frog hop back into the water. As he returned his gaze to the girl, a smile grew on his face. "Mmmm, okay I can play!" He sprung to his feet and wiped some of the dirt from the back side of his pants. "I'm Galton, just so you know. What's your name? How do we even play this? Wait who is Captain Courage?" He rattled off a list of questions, excited to be involved.

Good, this one did not recognize her. Infamy has its boons as well as its consequences. He was game for their little game at the very least. Perhaps this was a wiser means of capturing that massive former Prefect. Little did she know, Hugh was a year younger than even her. Her concern over taking him down was an assessment based wholly on his gargantuan size. Her initial plan had already fallen through, procure butter beer from Hogsmede and then ply the giant boy with the drink until he was overcome with sleepiness. Sadly her partner in crime, a one Alex Cloverfield had discovered girls during this process. Whatever happened to bros before hoes?

"The game is simple. We try to overtake the world through some convoluted means, something showy and dramatic and then Captain courage shows up. We have a plan to entrap him, he usually breaks out because he is huge... then we pretend to go to prison. Unless we win, then I guess we take over the world." The logic was as basic as any child's game would be. "Most of the fun is trying," she lied. Most of the fun was winning.

"Captain Courage is played by Hugh Lowe, this really big guy. I think he is a fourth year or something. Gryffindor. Smirks a lot. You can't miss him because he is a foot taller than everyone else." That was a god awful description but she only met him once, since then she has avoided him. Little did the kid know, as far as Erin was concerned -she- was the good-guy, the hero. She believed that Hugh was not only a villain in general but also responsible or at least knowledgeable of the rash of student disappearances in Hogwarts that he played dumb regarding. She was going to extract the truth from that mixed breed if it was the last thing she did.

"We just need to work on a few things," Erin claimed. A cover in actuality. "A villain name," she lifted one finger. "An origin story," she raised a second finger. "An evil plan," she lifted a third finger. "And an evil laugh," she concluded. That should cover the basics just barely, she was winging it afterall.

She still hadn't said her name. Oh well, I guess that is what happens when you ask too many questions at once. He didn't quite know if he should ask her name again, it might make him seem too annoying, and he didn't want to seem annoying to his new friend. She seemed cool, I mean she had colored hair right?

As he listened to the plan it seemed a lot more involved then most games he was used to. He had expected to just run around the lake and pretend to fight this Captain Courage. And Captain Courage was Hugh! Even better, he was going to play with his friend too. What a small school, the random purple haired girl would know Hugh. As he listened on though it seemed she didn't quite know Hugh that well. But he waited for her to finish before he spoke up. A she finished and listed off their preparation tasks his grin grew winder, and he forgot what he'd been thinking about - thoughts replaced with a rushing imagination.

"Oh! Oh! Ummm. Magic Maniacs?! Wicked Wizards?! Or! OR! Sinister Sorcerers!" Galton clenched his fists and bobbed up and down as he listed off the names. When he started to think about the other tasks his scowled a bit. "I'm not sure I am so good at evil plans, I don't know how to be evil really..." He gave it a second. "BWAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Captain Courage Vs a Band of Misfits PV Closed
He liked his alliteration. "The Sinister Sorcerer sounds pretty good," she admitted with a nod. A bit over the top, something Stan Lee might come up with. She had a villain for herself already: Erin. It was a name that would one day strike fear into every ne'er do well. He went on about how he lacked an evil plan, that did not matter because she already had a plan. She was just going to gaslight him into thinking he came up with the plan on his own if he had his own ideas.

He let out a wicked laugh. Erin would try to do the same, "from the diaphragm..." she instructed as if she had a clue. "Bwaha.." Hack. Hack. Cough. She brought the side of her fist to her own mouth and coughed again. She would suck in a second lung full of air. "Bwahaha-eh..." Cough. "Okay, you have a better laugh," she ceded.

"As for a plan, we kidnap Captain Courage's civilian girlfriend," Erin announced "and we lure him into a trap." She had no idea who Hugh was dating but he was probably dating some nondescript female considering his presumed age.

"But before we can kidnap the girl and put our evil plan into motion, we need to get you into costume. Just because we know Captain Courage's secret identity does not mean that he knows ours. We need villain costumes."

Kidnapping sounded pretty evil, he was a bit scared of how evil it sounded. But he would worry about that after he had a costume. What did a villain even look like? He knew they had to be scary, and normally they wore crazy outfits. What could he do to be scary? He wanted to really impress purple hair girl, so it would have to be good. He mulled over a few ideas, slowly kicking his foot into the dirt below. "I'm not sure what to do..." He said aloud as he thought. Then it hit him. He crouched down and dug into the earth a bit, exposing some of the wet soil further down. Then he began grabbing handfuls of the moist earth and rubbing it over his cheeks.

He looked up after a few seconds smiling, face stained by the dark earth. "It's like war paint!" He yelled out. He was very pleased with himself so far, it was quite a creative idea he thought. He wondered if Hugh would be frightened of him, he didn't really want to scare his friend.

Smiling at the girl he clenched his fist again, with a little bob up and down he exclaimed "Alright! I'll go find the rest of my costume! Where should we meet? And ummm what was your name?" He figured it was best to know the plan before he got too carried away and ran off.

He was going to wear... mud. Whelp, she was not looking for smart young men, in fact the dumber the better. She got what she asked for really. "Looks brilliant," she lied knowing full well if she was made of wood her nose would have grown a foot. "So villain-like," she added before a sense of concern washed over her. "You're gonna wear clothes right? Like proper people, not mud clothes right?" Sounded as awkward as the question actually was.

Then he mentioned getting the rest of his likely not-mud villain attire. Thank Merlin for small favors. "Awesome, got another one getting ready too. My name is Serena Towers," she lied naming the former Head Girl and Prefect that she had a vendetta against. Why? Because she was rude to her man. Yes, her man. She had decided that she was dating Paracelsus, there was not much else to say regarding the matter. He never shown up to the last dance, she forced other boys to dance with her in his stead and rately went anywhere with her consciously but had on occasion awoken in strange places. He needed to fall asleep in his dorm where there is a locked door and safety.

"Meet me here in two hours," she instructed. That she be enough time to prep a trap.

Double Post: We left this thread. The boys have a thread in the Gryffindor Boys Dorm. This thread reconvenes here 2 hours later.

A lot can happen in two hours. First, Erin also got changed. Her 'supervillain' costume was a hooded robe and she was wearing a bathing suit beneath. No, it was not so she could be an extra sexy villain, rather it was so she could double cross her evil allies in natural villain style. She planned on pushing them into the lake after they took down Hugh, the red knight of Gryffindor.

The plan was already set into motion. A floating dock, a 9x9 platform of wood bobbed in the lake. Sitting on the platform fifty feet from shore was what appeared to be a girl tied to a chair. In reality it was just a bunch of clothes stuffed with straw and a hat. The figure faced away from the shore and was hard to tell that the figure was a farce.

The plan was simple, lure him to the lake. Pelt him with balloons, force him to swim, potentially contend with the misfit duo she had recruited for this very purpose. The guys were first years, probably weaksauce and not great fighters but they only needed to tire Hugh out.

She left a note addressed to Hugh in the hands of some nosy third year. It looked like a love letter, his name in sparkles with a heart around it. She wanted something that would be delivered with haste and girls love being messengers of romantic intent Erin had observed. The letter housed within was less than endearing.

Hugh--

I know you know more than you claimed. I will get what I want to know from you. I kidnapped your girlfriend. You can find us by the lake. I will be waiting.

She had no idea if Hugh had a girlfriend, she just assumed. That was why she never gave a name. Using clothes, straw and a bit of wizard tight, the rest intended to restrain the giant himself, she created the scene. A length of rope and an inflatable giraffe ((it was all she could find)) bobbed in the water. There was a rock wrapped in rope on the shore, Erin had thrown it to test the distance.

The plan was simple. It would take Hugh time to find where she was. The boys, they would likely beat him there. They could ride the inflatable pool giraffe to the dock, their 'evil lair'. Armed with a supply of water balloons when Hugh arrives rhey would pelt him as he tried to make his way to the dock. He would not get to ride the inflatable giraffe.

Erin donned the robes over her bathing suit once she was satisfied with her preparations and waited.

When they arrived Erin would wave from the dock. "Ahoy!" She would swing her arm back and forth. "Pull the rope and ride the giraffe to the base, he will be here any minute!"

Heart Breaker, universally-feared supervillain stomped onto the rocky shore of the great lake. The stony earth crunched underfoot. He had met Erin around lunch time, enjoying a peanut butter and fluff sandwich lovingly prepared by a house elf when the purple headed girl offered him an adventure -- join her and become super villains. They practiced their maniacal laugh, his was top notch. They discussed the need for a proper monologue, he had practiced his evil monologue in his mind all the way there, mouthing it as he walked alongside his partner Dirt Danger.

It was a bit of a scene, a few of the students stared although some tried to be less than obvious. "I think our costumes are intimidating," he whispered to his partner in literal crime. He named himself Heart Breaker, suave playboy villain. He steals the hearts of his enemies with a single wink and then shatters them. His attire, as any good super villain costume would, had its eccentricities. A pair of boxers, white with red hearts, over his pants. A tie with eyes cut out over his face to conceal his true identity and add mystery to his hawtness. A blanket 'borrowed' from the boys dorm served as a cape and it flapped in the warm afternoon breeze.

He would see Erin waving them down. He would stop, his arms outstretched like a small child in a snowsuit playing outside in the winter. About a dozen if not more pillows liberated stolen from the boys dorm were clamped beneath his arms.

"Looks like we have a... prisoner already?" Wow she works crazy quick. "Are you sure kidnapping?" Wait, they were villains now. "I mean, good job angry hood," he had no idea what she named herself so he picked a name for her. It made sense thematically like their outfits he reasoned.

She shouted some instructions, something about a giraffe. Then he noticed the lonesome giraffe floating in the water. She did not expect him to ride THAT. There were real monsters in the lake. He hesitated for a moment, then with a reluctant sigh he slid off his shoes, peeled off his socks and rolled up his pants, exposing a pair of pale chicken legs beneath. Ow-ow-ow... he mouthed as he walked over the rocks and found the rock with a rope at the shore. He tugged the giraffe raft to the water's edge, mounted it and started to pull himself towards the dock. The water was incredibly cold despite the warm air. Once he reached reached the dock, with the grace of a newborn calf he crawled, well roll-flopped onto the deck. He managed to keep about 1/4 of his outfit dry.

That kinda sucked.

"You ready Dirt Danger!" He shouted as he flung the rock back to the shore, somewhere near but not quite at his new friend. "Water is like ice, Captain Courage must be part polar bear!"

Dirt Danger followed his fellow villain close by. They needed to stay close to look extra scary, apart they might be mistaken as enemies, not allies. And super villains needed to stick together, even if they were only going to "fight" Hugh. Galton began wondering what type of powers Captain Courage would pretend to have. Maybe he could make himself even more tall? Or maybe shrink too? Galton would find out soon enough.

As they got to the shore, finally, they were met with a barrage of instructions. And it seemed that someone had actually been kidnapped. This made Galton really nervous. Of course Dirt Danger wasn't nervous, no, but Galton was. Had she really kidnapped someone?! No it had to just be a game right?

Dirt Danger watched his friend take his shoes and socks off to ride the floaty some miles away into the distance and then use his super strength to throw the rope back. It was Dirt Danger's turn, and water also made him nervous. He'd swam a few times, but he wasn't too sure about being in a magical lake. No! Dirt Danger would never think such a thing! And so, Dirt Danger peeled off his shoes and socks, rolling up his pants just like Heart Breaker had. It bugged him that some of his costume was lost, but sacrifices had to be made.

The water was cold. Like really cold. Dirt Danger wasn't sure if he would even have toes when he got to the raft. The deep blue water was very, very scary, but he did his best to just keep pulling the rope to the raft.

Finally there, he crawled on board, letting out a deep sigh of relief. "Sooooo, now what?" He asked his two friends.
