Cabin Sign-Ups Summer Camp 2026

Cabin Sign-Ups
Image
As in previous years, students can once again choose to reside in one of the provided cabins! This year, your cabin will not only decide where you are sleeping, but which Department you belong to for the summer. You will spend the summer living in said cabin with up to nine others – whether they are your best friends, worst enemies, or simply strangers. Each cabin has its unique aesthetic, but all are similarly comfortable and spacious. Upon arriving on the 1st of August, students may form a group. Once your group is completed, your names will automatically appear on a blackboard, along with your cabin and Department.
Sign-ups are open starting today until the end of camp, which is the 31st of August. We will do our very best to match you quickly so you can RP with your group!
📜 2026 International Summer Camp
📜 August 1st to 31st
📜 Campgrounds
Departments:
  • Department of Magical Law Enforcement
  • Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes
  • Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
  • Department of International Magical Co-operation
  • Department of Magical Transportation
  • Department of Magical Games and Sports
  • Department of Mysteries
How Cabins Work:
  • Each cabin houses up to 10 occupants. There can be fewer in a group, but we may add one group to another, add someone who signed up by themselves to a cabin that isn’t full, etc.
  • We will not allow someone to reside alone in a cabin. If your group is small enough and the room descriptions fit the number of occupants, you may state you have a room to yourself within the cabin, though.
  • If you do not want to be matched with a specific user or users, please state that clearly in your application or let Jun Mayumi Mochizuki and Valeriy Viktorovna Reznikov/Taros Quintero know, especially if there is an existing DNC.
  • Students from any year and any school can sign up together.
  • Each student that wishes to participate in Department-exclusive activities must sign up OOC for a cabin; otherwise, you will not be able to participate.
  • If you want to RP in your cabin, please regard the following instructions in “How to Sign Up”.
How to Sign Up:
  • For every pre-found group please only sign up once – this means only one of you will sign up and mention all others in your group who have previously agreed to be in said group.
  • Steps of signing up:
Find a group (or let us find your group)
    Choose a Department (theme)
Post your cabin threads – You do this by yourselves; we will not post a cabin thread for each group to roleplay in.

Department of Magical Law Enforcement

The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is the largest Department and includes the Auror Office as well as the Wizengamot. Therefore, the vibe of this cabin is disciplined, prestigious, and traditional. Its interior is held in a navy blue, forest green, mahogany, and brass color palette with a comfortable yet organised atmosphere. The floors are made of dark wood panelling and rooms are kept with a maximum of two twin XL beds for restful sleep, preferably in a room with a student you can trust… or not. Each bed has a lockable trunk at the end, as well as a bedside table with an enchanted candle and the camp schedule. The common room hosts a large fireplace and several leather sofas and armchairs, perfect for a night by the fire or an evening kept to yourself with a good book. Framed historical Auror photographs hang upon the walls, accompanied by maps of Britain, pierced with pins in seemingly unrelated locations. Finally, there are not only books and files standing on the shelves – there are also trophy cases waiting to be filled. In this cabin, those who lead and may or may not follow rules reside. Welcome, competitive spirits and future Aurors.

Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes

This Department is known for fixing magical damages and helping to hide magical accidents from Muggles. Those who reside here are problem solvers, quick thinkers, adrenaline lovers, and perhaps just a little bit chaotic. Fitting to this vibe of organised chaos, the interior colour palette is held in warm orange, copper, slate grey, and burgundy. If one decides to spend some time inside – instead of causing chaos or hopping around camp with their friends – the comfy common room area is perfect for that. Repaired benches with pillows stand by windows, bookshelves are overflowing with board games and exciting stories, and emergency kits can be found in the bathrooms. The patched-up couches are arranged for interaction, and a large wooden table with chairs and benches can be found for game nights. The rooms are not particularly private, but one can choose to sleep in a room with five of their friends in cozy bunk beds or snatch one of the two rooms for just two students – perhaps you and your best friend? All bunk beds have a trunk to hold your belongings, as well as a patchwork blanket that each student may call their own for the duration of camp.

Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures

As the name explains perfectly, this Department manages, studies, and classifies all magical beasts, beings, and spirits. Needless to say, if you do not like magical creatures, this is not the cabin for your camp stay. All around the cabin, hanging plants can be found. Carefully-arranged creature sketches and large windows create a warm, welcoming common room. There are sofas and armchairs placed to enjoy a round of conversation or a relaxing moment by yourself. Those who are compassionate, adventurous, patient, and, of course, animal-loving may find that this Department fits them. The interior is kept in a colour palette of moss green, brown, cream, and sage. Specks of other colours can be found around the cabin, whether in the form of a magical creature mural on the wall or a comfy pillow on one of the sofas. The bedrooms are kept in two rooms that have three sleeping spaces each – one bunk and a single – as well as one room that holds space for a group of four, with two bunks. Each bed holds a trunk at the end – or, optionally, a space for your furry, feathered, finned, slimy, many-legged, or scaled friend. Overall, the vibe could be described as a cozy woodland cottage, designed for a stay connected to nature and the creature world. To connect with the others residing in your cabin, the summer planning committee recommends nature and creature journals, walks around the grounds, or tea and juice nights.

Department of International Magical Co-operation

If working with wizarding governments in other countries to set rules for subjects, such as foreign trade and sports, sounds interesting to you, this is your Department. In this cabin, a mix of personalities reside. Whether you are diplomatic, curious, social, or multilingual, those in the Department of International Magical Co-operation will find their cabin in an elegant international lodge style. The interior colour palette is kept in emerald, gold, navy blue, and white with world maps, international flags, and souvenirs from different Ministries worldwide. There are a total of four bedrooms, two of which hold three sleeping spaces each. The other two rooms hold two sleeping spaces each. All rooms of the cabin have particularly high ceilings and one may request to have their bedroom ceiling enchanted to look like their home night sky. The bedrooms hold two or three twin XL beds, as a good night’s sleep is quite important when travelling so frequently. As in all other cabins, each bed has a personal trunk at the foot of the bed. They also have a bedside table – students may find a dictionary here. In the common room, there are several areas for students to lounge, such as the sofas by the fireplace. However, particularly dedicated students can also find work desks in corners, where they can read, write, or study. Suggestions from the camp planning committee for this particular cabin are cultural exchange nights, wizarding trivia, or debate evenings.

Department of Magical Transportation

“Energetic, adventurous, practical, and easily distracted” is what some might say about the inhabitants of this particular cabin. The Department of Magical Transportation controls and oversees all magical travel, such as the Floo Network, Portkeys, and the Knight Bus. Therefore, the vibe of this cabin fits a bustling train station, housing students that may enjoy travelling or planning, or those who are constantly on the go. When walking into the common space, the first thing popping out is the large brick fireplace, with comfortable sofas and armchairs arranged nearby, as well as old trunks that are being used as living room tables. A clock hangs in every room in order to not forget the time at which one needs to be somewhere. The camp activities have been hung on the inside of the front door, disguised as a route map, and vintage travel posters hang everywhere. Shelves are filled with travel journals, lexicons, and other books and games from around the globe. A particular colour palette cannot be found, but one might notice the use of brick red, black, brass, and teal in all rooms. As for sleeping spaces, there are two rooms with four beds each and one room with two beds for those that do not enjoy sleeping in a room with too many others. Trunks for personal belongings can be found by each bed and there is a sleeping mask on each bedside table – how else can one sleep on a train or bus? For boring evenings, the summer camp planning committee recommends that this cabin try out navigation games, travel storytelling nights, or reading through one of the many journals found around the cabin.

Department of Magical Games and Sports

This Department organises official wizarding sports, including the Quidditch World Cup and the earlier Triwizard Tournaments. Thus, it is the camp’s version of an athletes’ lodge. When one walks past this cabin, they may soon realise it is by far the loudest – it’s the most competitive, but also the most welcoming cabin. Residents of the Department of Magical Games and Sports cabins are outgoing, team players, friendly, competitive, and, often, fun to be around. These are the students bringing the game to the Quidditch pitch, the race to the track, and the duel to the piste. Fitting to its inhabitants, the interior is decorated with Quidditch, duelling, and broom racing banners; sports equipment; trophy shelves; and a snack station. While there is a couch, some prefer the bean bags or hammocks around the common room. For those who enjoy working out, the cabin holds a space with reasonable weights and yoga mats. As for bedrooms, while many athletes are known to be energetic and outgoing, the bedrooms are kept with only two beds to ensure this active lifestyle can be upheld throughout the day with proper rest during the night. The doors to the bedrooms do allow those that want to stay up longer to remain in the common area while others retreat. Each bed has a trunk reserved for personal belongings. In the drawer of the nightstand, cooling tinctures or bandages can be found to help with accidents during activities. Colours like scarlet, gold, oak, and deep blue can be found throughout the rooms. The activities that the summer camp planning team recommends are coming up with a team chant, participating in a game of unofficial sports on the grounds, or playing a late-night card game.

Department of Mysteries

Ever been to a quiet, enchanted library? Stepping into this cabin may feel as though you're in one of them. The interior of the Mysteries cabin has a very clear colour palette in midnight blue, black, silver, and violet. Many find the common room is often in a quiet state, filled with something calming and mysterious. Large couches give a comfortable space if the residents do want to interact, but there is equally as much space dedicated to armchairs that stand by themselves and cushioned benches by windows, with pillows and blankets. The walls are lined with endless bookshelves and star charts, and floating candles cover the ceiling, much like in the Great Hall. As many of the inhabitants in this cabin are observant, intellectually gifted, introverted, and some even mysterious, the bedrooms are also kept in pairs of two to ensure that everyone feels comfortable. Each resident can choose a twin XL-sized bed with a trunk standing at the end. There is also a bedside table with space for books and an enchanted candle. Something unique that this cabin has is a curtain students may pull around their bed at night to drown out any noise or light. It’s perfect for when the common room gets loud, or if you are one who enjoys staying up reading in candlelight. The summer camp planning committee suggests midnight stargazing, puzzle nights, or silent reading hours as a bonding experience for those in the Department of Mysteries.
Additional Information:
  • Each group is free to create as many threads of their cabin as they wish over the summer.
  • You are required to remain consistent within the cabin, group, and Department you have chosen. You may not switch Departments or groups after already RPing with them.
  • We will not moderate cabin threads – this means that creating a thread for your cabin, such as a first day thread, is your responsibility.
  • Please choose a unique cabin name, as to not cause confusion within groups, such as “There are 4 cabins named Department of Mysteries, which one is mine?” Tag your thread with: [cabin name] in the titles.
  • Cabin threads are considered to be private. Please do not join different groups in their threads unless you have specifically been invited and mentioned.
  • All rules of the site still apply in your cabin threads, such as the 200-word minimum, site rating, etc.
