This class is for both first years, and second years who missed their first opportunity
Today’s lesson seemed like it should be fun. For those who retained their childlike spirit anyway. For those who were a bit more serious, they may be able to find a practical use for this spell. Aoi had used it in dueling before, but other spells tended to be more effective. It was of no matter. Teaching spells tended to bring more joy than teaching history. Well, at least for the students.
Aoi had spent the 15 minutes prior to the start of the class casting Impervius on the books and furniture of the classroom. She didn’t want damage to be caused to the texts, and she had no motivation to remove them all just for a single class. And so this simple solution should suffice. She’d also sent out an owl warning students to wear clothes they didn’t mind soap on, of course with no context. What better way to drive curiosity they a little enigma? No doubt someone had figured it out. No doubt a Ravenclaw, but there was plenty of intelligence in the other houses. Surely a few knew what today’s topic would entail. She had also informed the class that there would be third years assisting them today. Three different years in one room. Should be interesting.
Students started wandering into the room at taking their seats out of habit as Aoi watched from her chair. She had invited 4 total 3rd-years to help, two boys and two girls, each from a different house. Selena Hughes, who was from Gryffindor, would be assisting her own house today. She wasn’t very tall and had dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. She was one of Aoi’s best students in the entire class. Aoi was excited she had volunteered.
The next girl belonged to Hufflepuff. Lana Wilson. An outgoing girl, who even Aoi knew was popular among her year. A part of Aoi knew she was here just to suck up, but if it helped the younger students, what did it matter. It would change much in the end. The black haired girl was paying more attention to Aoi, shooting glances with her green eyes to see if the woman was paying attention, then the incoming students she’d be assisting of her own house today. A sigh escaped Aoi’s mouth.
The third was Levi Thomson. He belonged to Ravenclaw and looked ever the stereotypical Scotsman. Strong emphasis on stereotype. He had red hair and a deep Scottish accent that Aoi sometimes struggled to understand. He was smart as a whip though, further fitting stereotypes, this time his house. He was studious and had personally told Aoi about how he would help so he could practice practical use of a spell.
Last was Yancy Clearwater. A shy boy from Slytherin. Soft Spoken and quiet, the brown-haired boy was proud. Proud of his family, or his house, or his skills. He just didn’t voice it. He showed it instead. Aoi was proud of his inner confidence and had pushed him to volunteer for today’s class. She hoped to build up some of his outside confidence and get him to interact with other people more. Obviously, he would be working with the House of Snakes.
As the last of the students came into the class Aoi stood up and walked in front of her desk, withdrawing her wand from its pocket in her sleeve. “Good Morning class,” Aoi beamed at the students gathered before her, “and welcome to practical spell lessons. Today we will be learning the Bubble-Producing charm. A fairly simple spell, not only to cast and perform but in its use. First, let’s review the incantation.” The Professor waved her hand and the chalk went to work on the board, writing out ‘BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem’. “This is the incantation, and despite how many spells work, this one does not have a movement. If cast correctly, your wand should produce a steady stream of gold-tinted bubbles. Miscasting the charm may produce different colors or different sizes. The stream may also be interrupted or stop altogether.”
Aoi motioned the volunteers forward, lining them up in even spaces at the front of the room. “Now class, let’s practice. I’d like you to meet our volunteers who are doing their own practice at the same time. Please give a warm welcome to Selena, Lana, Levi, and Yancy. They will be practicing their use of the Impervius Spell. You will be practicing the use of the bubble-producing spell on them. Be aware that bubbles may become errant, so I hope you heeded my owl about your clothing. Now please line up in front of the volunteer from your house and begin practice. You may direct any questions you have toward me.” Aoi promptly cast Impervius on herself and sat back down at her desk, watching the proceedings with great interest.

Sometimes, making the wrong choice is better than making no choice. You have the courage to go forward, that is rare.

The Bubble Producing Charm
She entered the classroom in a bit of an eager mood glancing around, her eyes scanning. This class was always one of her favorite subjects and she loved anything involving wandwork. She had to get better at spells anyways as it stood."Hello, Professor!"She chirped smiling brightly at the woman and looking curiously at the other students as she began to explain the Charm they would be utilizing. The Bubble-Head, huh.She thought nervously to herself as she pulled out her wand glancing down at her. She had not done a whole lot of spellwork so she could only imagine how this was going to end up going. She repeated the incantation under her breath as the professor went over it."Bul-la-rum-im-Mor-ta-lem"She whispered to herself repeating it over and over."Bullarumim Mortalem."She grinned excited that she had finally got the pronunciation right and gripped her wand tightly eyeing the poor souls who they would be practicing on. She hoped she didn't mess up and wind up horribly injuring one of them.
Heeding the professor's instructions, she looked around for the volunteer from Gryffindor her eyes landing on Selena. A nervous sweat broke out as she nodded to reassure the girl she would try not to hurt her, not that the Bubble-Head Charm was harmful or anything but one wrong movement of an wand could mean everything."Ready?"She asked the volunteer before taking a deep breath readying herself.One..two….three.She raised her wand pointing it at the girl and in a confident tone spoke the spell."Bullarumim Mortalem!"She said secretly praying it would work. It would be pretty embarrassing if she couldn't get this right. She did not want to look foolish in front of the older students and professor. She focused hard on the girl in front of her blocking out the background sounds of the classroom as she muttered the incantation.

Professor Edit: Professor Risa silently observed the four lines at the front of her room. The third years were doing fantastic with their charm practice, ready for the onslaught of first and second years. A young student, Miss Jangleton, was practicing her incantation. Incorrectly. She had added an extra syllable at the end. She moved to cast the spell and bubbles came out. Gigantic purple bubbles, bursting immediately upon exiting her wand. A pity. "Miss Jangleton, valiant effort. I think you may find success with the removal of '-im' from the end of your incantation." The professor smiled gently, no animosity or malice, but with patience in her voice.
OOC: Failure. No worries. You have two options. You can make a new post which is best for keeping this RP reaction or you may edit this one to be the correct pronunciation.

The Bubble Producing Charm
Professor Edit: The first success of the day came from a Hufflepuff. Aoi watched on as the girl aimed her wand. Followed by the incantation, slightly rushed, which was met with the reaction from her wand. A stream of golden bubbles came jetting out of the end. Aoi clapped for her achievement. "Well done! Quite spectacular. I would say you have learned the spell. A little practice and you'll have more control over it but you're well on your way."Ellara wandered into History of Magic with her head up in the clouds. Though she often enjoyed learning the traditions of the magical universe, especially after she’d missed out on it for the first eleven or so years of life, she simply was too awake to wish to sit at a desk all day and take notes. The young Hufflepuff girl wanted to get up and explore. The wind was chilly, but the grounds were gorgeous at this time of year, and she had just begun to get involved in some cool clubs! Often enough, Ellara found she had to remind herself Hogwarts was actually a school and not an alternative life-style.
Still, she was not one for skipping, and even if she wasn’t in the mood for class, it seemed like they’d be participating in some activity with the whole ominous soap message that had been sent out. The knowledge learned in class could help her out, anyway, so she finished up a conversation with a fellow student about the difference between aconite and wolfsbane (which were literally the same thing!) and selected a seat near the front of the room. Immediately, she noted that something seemed… different than most of the other days. The students! She regarded the four older students standing in the front of the room with a tilt of her head, figuring Professor Risa would explain once all the students had filed in.
So, she waited, clad in proper attire for whatever involved “soap,” and wandered what they’d be doing in class for the day. She’d come up with a few ideas after scanning through the library, but something told her they weren’t about to learn about the “History of Soap.” Eventually, everyone arrived and Ellara listened the Professor as she spoke, explaining the use of the Bubble-Producing charm, its incantation, ‘BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem,’ and nonexistent wand movement. Once directions were given out, she stood and moved to file off with the rest of the Hufflepuffs.
Somehow, Ellara ended up first in line and decided to make casual conversation with the Hufflepuff girl. ”Hi! My name’s Ellara. I’ve seen you around a few time-“ Realizing she was holding the line up, she skipped on to the, ”Ready to get started?” She practiced the incantation quietly while she waited for confirmation from the popular Hufflepuff, praying the spell would work.
Once ready, El raised her wand and pointed it towards the girl, pronouncing, ”BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem,” in proper phonetic order. Her wand pointed toward the Third-Year, she waited with bated breath to see if the spell would succeed.

Zolderane had listened to the Professor intensely. She has been looking forward to charms class from when she had received her letter. Zolderane had worked out ages ago that they would be learning to cast The Bubble Producing Charm. She had worn her gym clothes that her parents had bought her with her house emblem on it. She walked into the classroom and saw that she was the first to arrive.
Once everyone was seated Professor Risa told us what spell we were learning. There were gasps around the room and Zolderane was surprised at how many people had not worked out which spell they were learning. Professor Risa then introduced the third years who would be practising the Impervius Charm.
After the introduction Zolderane, who had known which spell they would learn, did not need to start practising the pronunciation of the spell and went straight to practice casting the spell.
"BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem," she said boldy. Instantly a steady stream of gold-tinted bubbles shot out from the end of her wand. For the rest of the lesson, Zolderane learnt how to cast the spell quietly. To start off with she moved her mouth in the shape of the words but by the end of the lesson, she could cast the spell barely opening her mouth.

The Bubble Producing Charm
Tina entered the History of Magic class with a plan and a purpose. She was beginning to fall in love with the extra History of Magic class and was extremely grateful to Professor Sky for setting it up. She sat as close to the teacher as possible, taking detailed notes to soak up all the knowledge. She was sure she seemed like she was trying too hard, but at the current moment she didn't care how she was perceived. All she wanted to do was successfully learn the bubble-producing charm so she could use it to play outside during her free time.
In her notes, Tina drew a picture for every syllable of the incantation. For the bul, she drew a picture of a Bull. She drew a musical note for la and a stack of cards for rum. She drew an x for im, a face for mor, a teacup for ta, and a picture of space for lem. She was well aware that the pictures may not have any connections to their respective syllables, but it made sense to her. She pointed at each picture as she slowly said, " BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem."
After a while, she stopped using the pictures and closed her eyes saying 20 times, "Bullarum Immortalem." Pulling out her wand, she gave the redhead older student a small smile to indicate she was about to perform the spell on him. With confidence, she clearly said, "Bullarum Immortalem."
A stream of lightly gold bubbles emitted from her wand, but their big sizes startled her. It bothered her that the bubbles weren't as gold as she imagined and was worried that that she had done the spell incorrectly.

Professor Edit: It was fascinating seeing different techniques used to practice and integrate knowledge of a spell. Aoi couldn't say she understood the young Ravenclaw girl's method, but if it worked, who was she to judge? "Well done Miss Addington. As you practice the spell, you'll find better consistency throughout the cast. A little refinement comes with experience. Well done!" Aoi gave a brilliant smile to the girl, proud of her effort above all.

The Bubble Producing Charm
Well, she had botched it fair and square and she was not surprised though a bit frustrated with herself. She watched as big purple bubbles floated out from her wand bursting and she gripped her wand tightly now more determined to get it right. The Professor's words gave her a sort of assurance and she nodded smiling at the advice she offered. There would be no second time for failure, she was gonna make sure of that. Elena inhaled deeply focusing.Ok,ok,calm down, think, think. She began going over the incantation in her head for what seemed lie a milennia.Bullarum Imortalem..Bullarum Imortalem. She closed her eyes for a moment imaging the expectecd result. She just needed to focus, that was it. She was freaking out over a minor error in her incantation, she had just been nervous, that was all. She nodded to herself as she stepped up for another try giving Selena a smile."I got it this time, promise."She told the helper pulling her wand. If she didn't get it this time, she would seriously begin to question her ability to handle a wand at all.
She took a step forward and for a moment, there was no movement as Elena looked at the girl as if analyzing what to do. Finally coming to a resolution, the girl pointed her wand at the girl with a steady grip and spoke, her voice loud, a bit shaky but clear perhaps from the pressure to get it right."Bullarum Immortalem!"She spoke watching the girl and her wand to see what would happen.Focus, focus, you got this. You can do this, come on..come on.She watched the outcome with curious eyes either hoping to be pleased or severely wrong.

Professor Edit: Miss Jangleton was on her second try, having corrected her incanting. A perfect cast this time as the bubbles erupted from the girl's wand, a shining golden tint along the bubbles surface. Professor Risa clapped the cast, giving an approving nod to the young girl. "You got it, great job!"

The Bubble Producing Charm
Samantha quietly entered the room, nodding her head slightly when Ms. Aoi looked at her.
She wasn't here for attention, and she didn't feel like class was the best place to socialize and make friends, it was for studying.
Samantha wasn't a hundred percent certain what they would be doing, but due to the warning, she wore the black work robes that first year students was instructed to buy.
Along with her she had brought a few books; Magical Theory, Book of Spells, and A History of Magic. She wasn't sure if she was going to need all of them, but she thought better safe than sorry.
Samantha took her seat around the middle row, and waited patiently for a few moments before Ms. Aoi began explaining.
The teacher introduced the four students that would be assisting her in class.
When she came to Levi, Samantha paid closer attention. She was still listening to everything else, but unconciously she might have been a bit biased towards Ravenclaw students.
Samantha didn't have that much personal experience with Hogwarts at this point, so her impressions and thoughts were biased by stereotypes and a bit of hearsay.
Samantha's attention was drawn back to the chalkboard. BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem.
She re-read the words written over and over, and tried to pronounce it in her head. Bullarum Immortalem. She tried it a few times, maybe focusing too much on the intonation of the words. Bul-larum, im-mor-talem. No, that wasn't correct. She had seperated the words, instead of making them fluid.
Samantha laid down her wand, and tried saying it out loud a few times. "Bullarum immortalem".
After practicing for a few times she slowly made her way towards Levi.
Samantha listened to a few of the other students pronouncing the incantation, whilst paying attention to their result.
She finally felt ready to try it out. Looking at Levi, he nodded slightly, and Samantha lifted her wand. "Bullarum immortalem".

The Bubble Producing Charm
Koko took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. This would be her first spell with her new wand. She was giddy with excitement, though she felt the tiniest bit for the children they would be practicing on. Koko was normally confident, but this was one thing she didn’t have much faith in. Bullarem Immortalem. Koko repeated the incantation over and over in her head. Bullarem Immortalem. Bullarem Immortalem. Bullarem Immortalem!
She took a quick glance around the room to see if anyone had been successful with the Bubble-Head charm. She felt much more self-assured when she did. If they can do it, so can I, she thought. She started rubbing her index finger and thumb on the sleeve of her robe nervously. It was almost Koko’s turn. Koko took her wand out of her robes’ pocket, gripping it the way Mr. Ollivander had instructed her to back at the wand shop.
I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, Koko repeated in her head. She’d seen the class do it. If they could do it, it should be easy for her. She leveled her wand in front of her, aiming at the girl in facing her, who’s name she had forgotten. Koko waved her wand as the professor had shown, and at the same time recited, “Bullarem Immortalem!”

The Bubble Producing Charm
Sapphire's mind was going into overdrive with the prospect of learning a new spell. Bullarem Immortalem, she thought I'll be fine as long as I remember the incantation. She was about 15 people from the front. She had time, and she'd been up all night incanting every spell in her books in her head. She had this in the bag. Still, her self dought, which was always prominent in her, kept whispering things like, you'll flunk your classes, or, you're a failure. It may seem impractical, but even though people insisted she was brilliant, she never thought so. That voice in the back of her head, that sounded so much like her mother, whom she'd never even known, discouraged her. She'd actually heard some people whispering that she should be in Ravenclaw, but it made sense to her. She realized that she was 8 people from the front now. She felt bad for the kids they were trying on, but at the same time, she was emotionless. She'd lost herself in her thoughts and zoned out the world, just like the sorting ceremony. Bullarem Immortalem, Bullarem Immortalem, Bullarem Immortalem, she thought over and over. Her first spell. She was next. The person in front of her incanted the spell, and stepped of to the side. She took a deep breath, and stepped forward, gripping the wand like she was instructed, and waved it in the same manner as the professor. "Bullarem Immortalem!" she said, and stepped back to where the others were standing.

The Bubble Producing Charm
Interactions | Everyone in class, Professor @Aoi K. Risa
Donning a raggedy shirt within her robes, Dinara scratched her head confusedly as she made her way to the History of Magic classroom. To the girl, she'd perceived History of Magic as the most theoretical subject there was at Hogwarts -- What kind of lesson could Professor Aoi have planned for them that would involve them having clothes that would get dirty?
She stepped into the classroom, bright-eyed and full of excitement. The girl greeted the four students that were positioned in the classroom cheerily, recognizing one of them to be her fellow Hufflepuff senior who could almost rival Dinara in terms of friendliness. Choosing a seat near her, Dinara pulled out her small notebook. The girl may seem like all she knew how to do was to talk, but the muggle-born took her classes seriously.
As the lesson progressed, Dinara found herself rather curious. The Bubble-Producing Charm? She couldn't really see how this would help in a practical situation, but the bubbles sure were pretty! Eager to learn, Dinara inched forward as Professor Aoi began to describe how the charm was to be cast.
The young girl was surprised to find that this particular charm required no gesture or wand movement whatsoever. She had always assumed all spells required some fancy wandwork before it would work! Taking extra care to remember how Professor Aoi recited the incantation, she nodded carefully before moving to queue up in front of the Hufflepuff senior.
Watching the few people that had gone ahead of her, Dinara watched as the few Hufflepuffs in front of her had gone ahead with varying degrees of success. While she queued, she whipped her wand out from her robes, trying to recite the incantation.
"bul-LA-rum IM-mor-ta-LEM!"
Dinara looked at her wand expectantly, but her shoulders slumped when only one pathetic bubble floated out (a silver one, seemingly to add insult to injury). Raising her eyebrow, the girl waved her wand rather impatiently, readying herself to start again.
"BUL-larumim MOR-ta-lem!'
Her delight was quickly punctured when the stream of bubbles that floated out carried a rather ugly green tinge to them. It mildly reminded Dinara of the algae-coated pond that was rumored to be haunted back in her hometown. Once again, her shoulders slumped -- why couldn't she get a simple charm like this correct?
Before she knew it, Dinara stood in front of the Hufflepuff senior that was in charge of overseeing their practice. Shaking her hair back, Dinara furrowed her brows in concentration, determined more than ever to get the spell right for fear of making a fool of herself in front of who she perceived as a respected senior.
"BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem!"
Her voice rang out clearly, and she peered at her wand tip, eagerly anticipating the stream of golden bubbles.
