Due to I am holding a Chinese club, I have recently started to write a book at the shelves called Standard Book of Chinese.

This thread is for:
1. give me suggestions and feedback! your ideas are appreciated
2. ask questions about Chinese-- do you have questions after reading?
3. send homework to be graded(not yet)-- written homework might be written in the book later, you can send your answers here or via owl to have it graded(this is only for learning, no awards will be given for doing exercises)
4. papertrail for donations, for I will later pay for coding of this book
5. point out grammar mistakes, each will be awarded 5 knuts or a common frog card of your choice
6. coding/link errors report
7. papertrail for updates
8. share your learning progress

ooh look at the footnotes, 'a' means the a in the pinyin system, in the pinyin system, 'a' is pronounced as 'ahh' which is a bit different from the English pronunciation. does this make it clear for you? <3

@George Calder can you give me example? like which line is difficult to understand? <3

it's totally alright, this thread is created because I want some advice. and your advice is GREAT
previously I recommend learners find pronunciation online themselves (this is probably unclear in the book rn for I haven't finished editing it)

and guess what, I was finding useful links when you posted your post! great minds are always alike they'll be added to the book soon

thanks so much for your advice! <3
