Ancient Runes Books, please?
After having met in the Ravenclaw common room Timothy and Rose headed towards the library they soon reached. Indeed the boy wanted to see it and asked Rose if she could come with him. She had no objection to accept.
They arrived in front of the library's entrance but before going in Rose turned towards Timothy asking him.
"I supposed you're interested about where the Ancient Runes books are?"
She was asking him but to be honest she had no idea where it was since she had never looked for it before. She knew Timothy would probably answer "yes" so she felt a bit dumb to have asked the question. She won't find herself clever when she will have to search for it without having a clue where it is. It's like handing the stick to be beaten although it was not a big deal but she knew it was one of the main reason Timothy wanted to come to the library. Eventually they would wander around and ending up finding it anyways. And if not in the worst case they could still ask someone to help them.
When they finally entered the library Rose's face immediately lit up. She always enjoyed coming here looking at the shelves full of books, smelling old parchments and books, hearing quills writing, pages being turned. It wasn't much but enough to content her. As if she knew she belonged to that place where she felt relieved and like a fish in the water.
She looked around. There were so many aisles she didn't know which one to start with. She turned towards Timothy as she whispered to him.
"So...which one do you want to go first? You choose."

Timothy was staring in awe at the endless rows of books. They seemed to go on forever. Timothy wondered how many books the school owned. Did anyone even know all the titles? So much knowledge, so many secrets.
"This is amazing " he gasped out the breath he hadn't realise he had been holding. "i wouldn't even know where to start looking for a book."
He moved to one of the nearby shelves and started running a finger down one of the spines looking to see if there was any reference numbers.
"The library at my old school had something called a dewey-decimal system where every book is numbered by category and placed on the shelf in order of the number. With this many books there must be a system. How about we try to work it out?"
He looked back at Rose. He was grinning ear to ear. He was so glad that Rose had brought him here. This library was so much better than he was expecting and he was glad he would get to share the experience with her.
"Of course, if we happen to come across an Ancient Runes book in the process I won't complain "

Rose looked at Timothy going to one of the closest aisle starting to look for books. Well mostly trying to figure out how the classification of the book on each shelve was working. For Rose it seemed it was classified by category and then alphabetic order of the writer. But she couldn't assume anything since she has never taken a book out of one these shelves as she had always her own book with her or came here to study or draw.
When Timothy offered to figure out how it was working she slightly smiled. It wasn't a bad idea and it could even be fun. She just hoped for them not to look like two weirdos wandering around not knowing what they were doing or searching nor where they were going. Even if it was indeed the truth. But well nevermind Rose knew she shouldn't pay attention to others in this kind of situation as others were probably not paying attention to them since most of the students were either studying or reading too focused to be disturbed by two people walking between the shelves.
"That's a good idea! And it doesn't seem to be that hard since it will be the same patterns on each shelve in every aisle I suppose." she answered Timothy.
After Timothy told her how it was organised in her previous school she thought it would be useful if she were also sharing her thoughts about what she knew.
"As far as I know it is sometimes classified by category and then by author. Of course there is also the number but author prevails over the number." she quietly said careful not to speak to loud as it was a quiet places.
"Let's look around if one of our theory is right." she said as she started to go to the next aisle behind the one where Timothy was.

Timothy's mind was racing, this was a fascinating puzzle. He looked up and down the rows of books, there didn't seem to be any aisle numbers but Rose was right of course. the books seemed to be grouped by category.
"Lets see if we can find a library catalogue. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the books were grouped by Curriculum. so first year books are all together." Timothy started down the books looking for a set of drawers that might hold the catalogue cards he is used to. "There is bound to be a librarian around somewhere. Are there any books you want to find while we are here?"
He turned around to make sure that Rose was following him. "We will just have a quick look then find some books to read if you want?"
He lowered his voice to a whisper as he spotted a group of older students gathered around a table further in. "I would like to read some of the books you like. I want to learn more about you and I always find learning about the things people are passionate about is a good way to do it. Lets see if we can find the astronomy section."

Rose was wandering in the aisle carefully looking around trying to figure out the shelves. Of course as she expected the books were classified by category thus they would just have to search in the specific categories they wanted to go. That wasn't that hard actually.
Timothy offered to Rose to look for some books she would want to read. Actually she didn't know yet which one. Maybe it would be better if they were going to the Ancient Runes sections first since Timothy seemed to better know what he was looking for. However he went to look for the Astronomy section hoping for Rose to find books she would like. She slightly smiled as she appreciated it but she didn't mind if they were not going there.
"You know to be honest I have not really read books about Astronomy. It was mostly my brother and then he was telling me about it." she confessed.
"But of course I don't mind going there to look and see if I can find anything interesting." she added.
They were then heading towards the Astronomy section they reached quite fast. The section was not too big neither too small. Rose looked at the shelves trying to spot the book her brother used to read and tell her about. For him this book was like the Astronomy Bible. She finally found it. Neither a big nor a small book. She took it out and showed it to Timothy as she smiled.
"This is my brother's bible." she then opened the book to leaf through it before adding.
"It's not a big book but every essential things about Astronomy is in here. I think I know its content without having read it once." she chuckled.
"Do you want to go to the Ancient Runes section or want to look around this one more?" she asked still looking into the book.

Timothy looked for a moment down the rows of aisles for a moment. He was fairly sure he could find the ancient runes books if he wanted to. But that wasn't the reason he had wanted to come to the library.
He blushed slightly thinking about how he had wanted to come and spend time with Rose, not get lost in the books of ancient runes. A brief image flashed across his mind of the two of them sat close together at one of the nearby benches reading quietly together, and for some reason he didn't quite understand his blush deepened.
His sharp eyes scanned the shelves to see if there was another of the books that Rose was holding, but he quickly worked out that there wasn't any, so he turned back to his companion. Whispering to her, as they were in a library
"Did you enjoy that book when you read it?" He shuffled his feet nervously trying not to stammer out the next words. "We could read it together if you like?"
He cursed the heat that was filling his face, sure that he must be making a fool of himself in front of Rose. He still felt comfortable around her, and didn't think she would judge his nervous idiocy, but he still wished that he was a more impressive presence.
He couldn't help but compare himself to her brother. That was a rough train of thought, it didn't do anything to help Timothy's self confidence.

Rose was still into the book her brother used to read before she decided to look around the shelves to see if she could find any other ones. Timothy seemed to do the same when Rose quickly glanced at him.
However she noticed how nervous he appeared to be. She remarked his cheek being slightly more pink than usual wondering what he may think of. He looked like being in deep thoughts. Rose hoped everything was alright before she started looking for books again.
"There might be others..." she whispered to herself as she let her hands going through the spine of the books still holding the other book in her other hand.
Rose was so focused she slightly got startled when she heard Timothy whispering to her asking if she enjoyed reading the book and if she wanted to read it with him.
She turned to him and he seemed even more nervous than before.
"I haven't read it. My brother did." she chuckled.
"I thought I mentioned it." she thoughtfully added as she shrugged and looked again at the shelves.
"But if you want us to read it we can indeed." she added to answer his question while still searching for other books.

Timothy, still smiling nodded that he did indeed want to read the book with her.
He started looking around for a seat and found an empty table with a cushioned bench. He sat down, moving to make sure there was space for Rose to sit and put the book in front of both of them.
He looked down at the pages, trying his best to concentrate on the words on the page. He found astronomy interesting enough, but he kept thinking of questions of things he wanted to ask Rose, or say to Rose. Any excuse to talk to Rose really. He was trying to read the current page near the front of the book which went over the basic planets of our solar system, when he began to feel a flickering pressure in the back of his head.
Feeling this he immediately sat upright. Looking around for sign of danger. The nervous excitedness that was previously on his face wiped to a blank expression. His eyes scanning the room systematically before landing back on the book in front of them.
Timothy reached forward and grabbed a large chunk of pages, turning to a page nearer the back of the book. He allowed pages to flicker controlling it with his thumb before stopping and opening the book onto a page about a constellation.
Timothy's shoulders sagged slightly, the pressure vanishing. A crease appeared between his eyebrows as he frowned down at the page. The caption beneath the image reads "The Tower".

After Timothy affirmed to Rose he wanted them to read the book he started to look for a table to sit down. He sat first before Rose went to join him sitting next to him as she opened the book that was in front of them. The beginning of the book was exposing the basics of the solar system although Rose knew about it she still read it. She felt Timothy moving back for awhile before looking back at the book. Maybe his back was hurting.
Suddenly he took several pages at once to get closer to the end of the book. Rose frowned.
Then it seemed he was looking for something specific as he opened a page about the constellation.
Constellation were about stars and since Rose used to stargaze with her brother they had endless debates about the forms stars were doing and which constellation was which one. Obviously her brother knew better than her but little by little she got to recognise and know them better.
On the page it was showing a constellation called "The Tower".
"Actually it is not sure whether this constellation is in our solar system. As you can see on the picture it's between two moons. Obviously we have one only. So there are wonders whether there is another tiny moon we can't see or if this constellation is associated with another solar system that happens to have 2 moons." she paused as she let her fingers traced the shape of the constellation.
"It's composed of 12 stars: 7 bright and 5 dim. It's under the charge of the Thief against the Serpent's wrath." she explained.
Well maybe everything she said was written but she just recalled what her brother told her about this constellation. And she was proud of herself to remember it well. She hoped Timothy were not going to ask some questions as she was not sure she could actually answer him yet she would try.

Timothy stared down at book as though trying to solve a riddle. His eyes roaming the page trying to work out why he had felt the need to turn to this page.
This doesn't seem dangerous.. why this page? Why the tower?
Timothy shifted nervoursly in his seat. Embarrased by his actions he shrugged at Rose.
"Sorry. I... er... I dont know why i turned to that page. Its just something that happens sometimes." He looked down at his hands.
She'll think your crazy. Just ignore it.
"Don't worry about it. Lets go back to the first year stuff."
Timothy wasn't sure if he wanted Rose to press him. It migh feel better to share this with someone but he had never told anyone before. He had just played it off as a coincidence.
Plus there was still the riddle of why he had turned to the Tower. If it wasn't immediate danger was it something like moving a box to stop someone tripping on it later in the day?
Timothy placed his hand to his head. Feeling unravelled all of a sudden as if pulled in 3 directions at once.
He kept his hand on his head and took a couple of deep breaths trying to calm the storm in his mind.
