What the fuck would one have go do to have some fun at this place? Gabriele had been craving causing a scene for months. Yeah, dressing up as a girl and almost getting punched by that slytherin guy was definitely something he'd tell his dads, but in the end it had come to an undramatic end. The dude had been upset and then proceeded to avoid him. What was fun about that? Gabriele wasn’t disappointed that Vincent wasn’t around- why the fuck would he miss a guy?!- but for the unsatisfying fallout. Except for Elizabeth and Damien, no one knew about it. Yet. Maybe he had to spread the word to finally get the reaction he was looking for.

The first school year was coming to an end and Gabi was determined to go out with a bang. Not literally, unless someone could hook him up with some fireworks- that would definitely be against the rules, but he couldn't go back home with nothing interesting to tell his parents over dinner. Sure, he'd been sneaking off to smoke every other day, but that was hardly newsworthy. It would piss them off, but to what cost? They'd ground him all summer and lock his gaming gear behind bars, and steal his cigs while reprimanding him to hell and back. That would mean summer fucking ruined. No, he needed something else that wouldn't cause withdrawals.

To make matters even worse, he didn’t know a single person that was down to potentially get in trouble. And that was only if they got caught. Why was everyone so fucking lame? Wouldn't it be dope if there was a club for people who just wanted to stir shit? That gave him an idea. Duh. It was literally his idea. Find the rebellious people of this place and make them help him make his year not a total fucking loss. Obviously the italian couldn't straight up advertise it as such- wait, who was he kidding. Of course he could. He just had to be sneaky with how.

After putting his graphic design skills to use, Gabriele had put a little poster, discreet as a note with the text ‘Down to be bad? Great lake. 5 pm. June 15th. Bring snacks.’ because he would probably be hungry. And nothing else, and hidden one behind a plant in the hufflepuff common room. Another behind some gargoyle by the slytherin common room entrance, ravenclaw tower and inside the hand of a statue in the gryffindor tower. It was the best location. Far away from teachers ears but crowded enough that no one would know it was him if the notes got into the wrong hands. He'd just run away.

At the promised time and place, Gabriele lingered around a tree by the great lake, gauging whoever walked on the trail. He really hoped someone would show up.

After completing her usual Saturday routine, Victoria slowly walked toward the entrance of the Slytherin common room, books in hand. Her eyes scanned the surroundings with quiet curiosity, her cold blue gaze as observant as ever.

It was precisely because of this attentiveness that she noticed a strange poster tucked behind a gargoyle just before entering the common room. Her brows furrowed slightly as she made her way over to it.

"Down to be bad? Great Lake. 5 pm. June 15th. Bring snacks."

Victoria scoffed, reading the poster over several times. Normally, she would never get involved in things like this—her parents were so strict, and she didn’t even want to imagine their reaction if she got into trouble.

But as she read the note again, a spark of excitement flickered inside her. If she was careful enough, her parents wouldn’t have to know. She had spent the entire year avoiding trouble, walking the line with quiet precision. Doing something outside her monotonous routine stirred an unexpected sense of adrenaline in her chest.

Victoria felt a small smile tug at her lips—she rarely smiled, with one-sided dimple appeared. It disappeared soon after. Bring snacks? Hah. Why should she bring snacks for some mysterious stranger who had put up a cryptic poster? She hesitated for a few seconds, then decided not to care and walked calmly back to her dorm.

The meeting was the next day. Since it was Sunday, there were no classes. Victoria pulled on a dark blue blouse and a black skirt, then headed toward the Great Lake, her tote bag slung over her shoulder, carrying a few different snacks inside, and a book, just in case if she gets bored.

As she approached the location, she noticed a curly-haired brunette lingering around a tree near to great lake. He looked about her age and her height, he seemed a bit reckless with a glint of mischief and excitement lighting up his brown eyes.

Victoria paused for a moment—was he here for the meeting too? Maybe he wasn’t, and if she spoke to him out of nowhere, it might come off as strange.

After observing him for a few more seconds, she composed herself. Her cold blue eyes remained distant as she slowly walked toward the tree and came to a halt, putting a respectful distance between her and the boy, fixing her gaze on the lake. As she waited for whoever might show up, she could hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears from anticipation.

"Down to be bad? Great Lake. 5 pm. June 15th. Bring snacks."

The ominous text was rattling around in Aleks’s brain like a ghost is haunting a castle. It shuffled from his left ear to the right, stringing every syllable into a tune he couldn’t shake from his thoughts. Under his breath, he parroted it. Then shoved his arm under his bed, feeling around for something smooth and plastic.
“Snacks…” A frustrated sigh announced another attempt. This time, he wedged half his shoulder under the frame. The wooden edge dug into his collarbone like it was picking a fight!

Earlier, the student had found the poster half-hidden behind a gargoyle statue. Aleks had left it there for some future lucky soul to discover, and instead made his way back to his bedroom with the words still echoing in his head. Ever since he’d arrived, the young Slytherin had been sprawled like a flattened crab on the floor between the bed frame and the nightstand. The mission of bringing snacks driving him on like a motivational poster come to life.

Right as his fingertips brushed the desired snack, the traitor skidded deeper under the bed.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Aleks growled, puffing his breath.
He squinted and shoved his head under the blanket, staring into the dusty darkness. Between until death-does-us-part worn Converse Chucks, an unreturned library book, and the broken leather chest, the Doritos bag dangled like a hostage.
That was it! Enough.
He refused to be defeated by his own organized mess. Aleks was a Slytherin, damn it—master of this army of forgotten junk, not the destined victim!
With fresh determination and a venomous glare fitting for a snake, he drew a deep breath and dove into the dim shadows under his bed. His hands yanked the chips free of their captivity, and within seconds he wriggled out triumphantly with the bag clutched to his chest.
A dust ball was lodged in his hair, determined to start a living among the dark strands. His clothes were crooked, shuffled aside, and his shoulder stung where the edge of the frame had dug. The bag wasn’t even old, and the space under the bed had definitely seen daylight more than a few times in the past months. It was just…dusty.
That was how Aleks justified the state of his army of hated and forgotten things. Dusted like Chinese clay soldiers. The student exhaled depleted. To soothe his frayed nerves, he let his gaze drop to the spoils of this adventure.

“Bring snacks…” he whispered again, repeating the poster’s demand. At least now he could head to the Great Lake with a clear conscience, unworried over coming unprepared.
Slowly, Aleks pushed himself back onto his feet. The Doritos bag hung in his arm like a vulnerable plastic baby. He sincerely hoped all of this would be worth it!
He bounced the bag and, for a moment, felt similar to a Victorian widow with her illegitimate child. The bag wasn’t crying, of course, but the thought of soon losing its contents nearly brought him to tears. Almost. Not at all, really, but he enjoyed clinging to the drama of an epic parting. At least this way, the effort felt justified.

With the snack-baby now safely in his care, the Slytherin made his way toward the Great Lake. Between the Dormitory Rooms, door, the corridor, and the staircase, he used his free hand to fix his hair. Quickly a dust ball fell out—thankfully not a sock, a spider, or some other legged bed-dweller he preferred to remain ignorant about.
In the meantime Aleks naturally paid far more attention to not crushing the Doritos than he ever did to his homework or class schedule. After all, they had to be presented in pristine condition to the poster designer as a worthy offering.

With every step that brought him closer to his destination, he was already fantasizing about what might await. He hoped everyone would bring snacks—and if not food, at least good mood and plans for trouble.
For a moment, his thoughts flickered to the student who had made the poster. When suddenly, his eyes glinted cold. A suspicion crept in, whispering that maybe it hadn’t been a student at all! What if it was a member of the staff, trying to catch rule-breakers before they even commited to crime? His shoulders tensed. Aleks moved more cautiously as he left the building and headed toward the Great Lake.

The thought clung to his mind like it had been stitched into his green uniform, ramming darker possibilities in front of his inner eye. Maybe a teacher was lurking out there at the lake. Or some Slytherin prefect with a grudge against students who kept Muggle snacks hidden in their rooms? Envy driven.
Aleks pressed his lips tighter together. He shiftedthe bag and kept the chips tucked firmly at his side instead. Just in case any staff tried to spot his baby.
He figured it would give him enough time to toss it into a bush if an angry adult came charging toward him. At least then the fried potatoes would be free and able to live their lives, have children, and remember him fondly.

Aleks let his critical gaze sweep across his surroundings. Between the suprisingly wet, grey water, the trees, grass, a patch of green here and blue there, he spotted two students near one of the hyperdimensional broccoli.
A pretty girl stood a little off, while a delicately built boy lingered closer to the tree.
No adults in sight, and he couldn’t see any prefect badges on their uniforms either.
Aleks let out a relieved sigh, blowing a long brown strand of hair out of his face as he stepped off the trail. The chip bag emerged from where he’d been hiding it at his side.
As he approached, he sized up the two stranger students more thoroughly. The girl wore a green collar—Slytherin. The boy, though, was a Hufflepuff. The yellow reflected the sunlight like melted cheese.
Aleks couldn’t help but smile as the relief finally spread all the way through him, loosening his shoulders. His posture crumbled partially, too. He didn’t want to be paranoid, but he absolutely would have believed Hogwarts prefects or professors capable of setting up a trap.

He moved a hint faster. After a few minutes, Aleks was finally within range of the two students. The Slytherin lifted a hand in greeting, a sort of half-wave, possibily just a gestured announcement of arrival. He angled his path slightly more toward the Hufflepuff than the girl. However, as he passed her, a glance was sent over. The Serbian boy watched her brown hair tumble over her shoulder. The small strands seemed to pick up the wind. It must be soft, he thought. Then briefly, he scanned her body—for snacks. There was none in sight.

Slightly disapointed he shifted his gaze to the Hufflepuff.
“Hi, you two,” he greeted in the meantime, watching closely to see if the boy was carrying something edible. Especially since Hufflepuffs dormitory was close around the kitchen. The delicate-looking boy was objectively cute at first sight. The bone structure build petite like one of those old serbian porcelain dolls his grandmother had owned. Confusing to think of a boy as pretty, is it not?
Aleks wondered which of them had written the poster. If it was him or the girl. The question curled up in his mind like a lazy cat.

“I brought chips… and you?” he asked, shooting a critical look in both their directions. Partially to try distract his own feelings away from the Hufflepuff. Aleks hair was perhaps quite a mess, but at least he kept a confident smirk on his lips. Despite the frustration over the lack of visible snacks..and his feelings.

After doing her homework, Hana was so bored that she walked around the Gryffindor tower, thinking of a new mischief to end her first year. Mischief? It's in her blood, she tried to tell herself to act normal in her first year but she just end up doing silly things, she really tried. At one point, Hana even did camping in the Gryffindor common room, roasting marshmallows over the fireplace thinking it's a campfire. In easier words, her mischief rules herself. As she was walking around, she notice something in the hand of a statue, thanks to her 'amazing' observation and eyesight. She slowly walked towards it, thinking she's a spy or whatever, trying not to draw attention. A secret message? A love letter? No, it's just a poster.

'Down to be bad? Great lake. 5 pm. June 15th. Bring snacks' That's all she saw. Bad? She wouldn't call herself as bad but the word bad is quite tempting. Off topic but Hana definitely need to practice her smirks and her evil laughs. Another thing that draw her eyes is the word snack. It's just a normal two word sentence but in Hana's mind that what's happening : Snacks? If I need to bring snacks, that means everyone else who's joining this thingo needs to bring snacks too, so there's probably a lot of snacks if approximately everyone brings a pack of stuff. Even if there's only 5 people, there will be 5 packs and it'll probably last for the whole night. I'll say this in a straight face but Hana can interpret a word into a whole essay full of mathematics formula and random scientific facts. Impressive huh.

Yep and she's going to the party. It's not typically a party but she calls everything a party if there's food, a word from the Hana Dictionary. So, after 5 minutes of searching and not to forget the part where she threw all her stuff in her dorm, she decided to bring the half-remaining pack of marshmallow from the 'indoor camping' and two big candy share pack. Just as she's going to step out of the common room, she just realised that she need to look bad, or at least decent to go. Taking the black skirt and the wine red blouse, with a half-neat black velvet ribbon on hair, she's off to go.

Arriving at the Great Lake, Hana saw three people. Mmm. not many but I think there will be enough snacks Taking her snacks out, she said'Hey, want some snacks?'

I see the way you're acting like you're somebody else. Gets me frustrated

While Victoria waited silently, she noticed a boy with brown hair and green eyes approaching them. He looked friendly and handsome. He was a bit taller than her, and when their eyes met, she noticed he seemed slightly disappointed. Victoria frowned quietly and felt a flicker of worry inside her—why had he looked at her like that?

Victoria stared at the boy curiously with her doe-like eyes for a few seconds, then her expression turned to one of confusion when she heard his question.

“Chips?” she murmured quietly. She assumed it was a Muggle snack, because she couldn’t remember ever eating anything like that before. Maybe she had tried it once during a meal at Hogwarts—either way, she was definitely curious about what kind of snack it was.

“Ah—I brought some Honeydukes chocolate and a few packs of Liquorice Wands,” she mumbled, took out the snacks she had mentioned from her navy blue tote bag and showed them, a faint worry visible in her cold eyes. Should she have brought Muggle snacks instead?

Victoria’s focused gaze on the boy shifted to a girl’s voice she heard—one that belonged to a stunning girl. She had wavy black hair and almond-shaped eyes that added to her beauty. Victoria felt relieved, thinking, "At least I’m not the only girl here," and had to stop herself from smiling. Still, the softening in her icy blue doe eyes was noticeable.

“Hey,” Victoria replied, then fell silent again. Deep down, she hoped she wasn’t the only one who had brought wizarding snacks.

Mikey had discovered the note crumpled in the back of the Ravenclaw library shelves behind a book on hex theory. Honestly, the words had made him laugh out loud. "Down to be bad? Great lake. 5 pm. June 15th. Bring snacks." The handwriting was half sarcastic, or at least it looked like it. And the ambiguity of it made it all the more suspicious. Or interesting. Mikey didn't know yet.

He wasn't the kind to seek out trouble. Trouble had a way of seeking him out for itself. But he'd been restless, bored, and feeling weird. So here he was, standing on the shore of the lake, fumbling awkwardly with a brown paper bag hidden under his arm, hoping to be the only idiot to arrive.

Instead, he saw a few students already present, a very self assured boy who looked as if confidence was actually pouring off him, a Slytherin girl who appeared to have been plucked straight out of a dark poem, and another boy who was clearly cool and somewhat suspicious of all the rest. And then there was a bubbly girl with a velvet ribbon looking decidedly too excited to be in the wrong place.

Okay, maybe this wasn't a trap after all. Or even if it was a trap, a good one? Mikey moved inside slowly, leaning back and forth on the balls of his shoes, attempting to act like he wasn't nervous. "Uh, hi," he said, raising his hand in a little wave. "Sorry I'm late. I was struggling to decide what would be a good snack."

He ripped open the paper bag and extended it to the group. "I brought chocolate-covered pretzels and lemon drops. Then, with a look from face to face, he continued, "So. Is this a throw the rulebook into the lake' type of gathering, or more of an eat sweets and scheme modest mayhem type thing?"

It didn't take long before the first person arrived; An elegant looking Slytherin girl approached the tree where he was standing, coming to a halt at a far enough distance that it could have simply been coincidence that she was here at the same time as him. Gabriele watched her suspiciously, trying to figure out if she was here because of the note or something else. It was impossible to tell. She wore a bag, possibly containing snacks, but that was about it. The girl didn't say anything to him- and neither did he, not wanting to blow his cover if he was mistaken and risk her run back to snitch to a teacher. He wouldn't hold it against her to be the type. For now, they stood there in silence like fucking action figures.

Not for too long, before another guy came strolling down the trail. Squinting, he could make out the green collar on his robes. When he spotted them awkwardly loitering at the location, he veered off the trail and walked towards the lake, pulling out a bag of chips or something from his robes. Clocking snacks immediately, a well-timed rumble squeezed his stomach. Perfect fucking timing. Gabriele pushed off from the tree trunk when the good looking Slytherin approached him. Compared to the girl, at least this guy looked like he was trouble, making it safe to assume he was here because of his note.

"Fucking starving," Gabi answered when the guy asked about him, snatching the bag of chips from the guy and ripped it open like it was his Uber Eats delivery. Technically, it was. Shoving his hand inside the bag, Gabriele started stuffing his mouth with doritos like he hadn't just stolen it from a stranger. The flavor settled on his tongue. Cool ranch. Gabi glanced up at the (tall) boy, giving him a critical eye from beneath his lashes. "It's not my favorite but I'll accept it," the Italian announced like anyone give a shit about his opinion. They should. His stomach was thanking him regardless.

While he ate, the girl from before had dared to inch closer and brought out her own snacks from her tote. Honeydukes chocolate and licorice wands. He didn't know what the fuck honeydukes was, but you couldn't really go wrong with chocolate, as long as it wasn't that artifical tasting shit they sold in the US. Blech. Gabriele had learned the hard way when traveling with his family.

"I'll have some licorice wands," he said through mouthfuls of Doritos, handing the demolished bag of cool ranch doritos back to the slytherin boy like he was his personal dispenser. No, Gabriele didn't have any reservations about acting like an entitled shit. He didn't care what people thought of him. It was his meeting after all.

Then Hana Suzuki—a Gryffindor girl he’d met once or twice before—joined them. If she hadn’t brought snacks of her own, he wouldn’t have known if she’d ended up here on purpose or just wandered in by accident. It would kind of be in character for her.

By the time the last person arrived (for now) he'd collected someone from all the houses. More people than he'd expected, but Gabriele was secretly happy about how many had decided to show up. Trying to not look too excited, because that would look fucking pathetic, Gabriele answered the Ravenclaw boy with a incredulous scoff. "Modest mayhem? No, we're not here to do pussy shit. We're going all out." It was too early to say if this lot would be a complete shit show or not, but it was off to a decent start in terms of snacks anyway. "We don’t write anything down. We don’t talk to teachers. And we don’t back out. This is the part where you decide if you’re just curious... or committed to breaking every rule this school has."

Aleks’s mock-critical stare still rested on the Hufflepuff. Dark curls hung over the boy’s forehead, falling into soft waves that practically hummed an invitation to be touched and tossled into a wild mess. If he brushed it regularly? He didn’t get the chance to finish the thought before an answer shot out of the boy’s mouth—he was fucking starving. Like a raccoon driven by pure anarchy, he snatched the bag right out of Aleks’s hand. The Victorian baby made of fried potatoes had its head ripped open, a thin hand digging in and devouring its insides. Suddenly, the worry over its pristine packaging felt like wasted time.

Aleks froze. For several seconds, he absorbed the petite boy stuffing chips between his lips. Dark pupils lifted from the crime scene and locked onto his, only to remark that it wasn’t his favorite flavor, but it was acceptable nonetheless. Despite the staggering level of disrespect, Aleks didn’t feel a hint of anger. On the contrary—it was so very absurd, it had its own charm!
A hint of a grin settled comfortably on his mouth, and he wondered whether the Hufflepuff always behaved like this or if he’d only turned into a goblin out of starvation. Was he a brat whenever needs weren‘t met? It reminded him of a pet, the spoiled kind.
“Well, I’m glad, then…”

With the initial question still lingering in the air, Aleks finally tore his gaze from the entertaining spectacle and looked back to the Slytherin girl. She seemed to remember the snacks she’d brought too, announcing calmly that she had chocolate and licorice wands from a place called Honeydukes. The name mentioned softly tilted Aleks‘ head. A few strands of hair fell across his face, brushing against his eyes and cheekbones. The word Honeydukes meant nothing to him at first, and even after rummaging through the dusty drawers of memory, he couldn’t place it. He doubted he‘d ever seen it at the Diagon Alley. Fair enough—he knew he should probably pay better attention to shop names. Maybe he‘d missed it.

A small hint of relief began to spread. Aleks was glad he wasn’t the only one who’d brought something. It would have been unfair to be the only one to sacrifice his beloved chip baby to the Hufflepuff.
Next, that same boy announced he wanted some of the wands. Aleks turned to him just in time to have the half-eaten chip bag shoved back into his hand. It was much lighter than before. Curiously the Serb bounced it gently up and down, estimating the bag‘s new weight.
“Did you not have lunch or something?” he asked, one eyebrow arching upward. He didn‘t expect an answer. His stare lingered on the group’s resident goblin. The smaller boy looked so delicate and sweet that Aleks decided he could forgive the gluttonous behavior. Maybe he just needed extra food to grow taller or broader—or grow at all..?

“Hey, want some snacks?” a feminine voice called. Aleks was left perplexed. He hadn’t even noticed someone new had joined them! Keenly, he turned to size up the newcomer. The red blouse practically screamed for attention. Maybe he was biased, but he immediately filed her under Gryffindor in his mind‘s drawer system of mismatched shelf and boxes.

“Hey!” he greeted, eyeing the treats she’d brought. You could never go wrong with sugar—but if the Hufflepuff decided to shove all those packs into his mouth, Aleks might actually start to worry. Still, the thought wastoo funny, and a quiet smirk tugged at his lips.
Now that they were more than three, his gaze drifted over the group. They had a goblin Hufflepuff with a face too pretty for his manners, a calm, pretty girl, a Gryffindor with enough candy supplies to feed the goblin king with an arsenal of sugar, and him—so that was two girls, two bo—

The thought hurled itself off the bridge, when he spotted another boy approaching. He came toward the group at a slower pace Aleks interpreted it as caution. A hand lifted in greeting, and Aleks returned it.

“Welcome. Better late than never!”
The collar was blue—a Ravenclaw had shown up!
Of all the houses, he’d expected this one the least likely to participate. A quick head-to-toe check confirmed that the bird looked the most uncomfortable. As for snacks, he’d brought something sour—at least the lemon drops were. Aleks briefly wondered whether snack preferences could be linked to house traits? Maybe Ravenclaw‘s enjoyed complex tastes, Gryffindor the sugar mountain to fuel their bravery and Slytherin.. Gasstation food? Whatever it was, it didn’t matter. They weren’t here on a picnic.

Naturally, it was the boy in blue who picked up on exactly this topic, questioned the seriousness of what they were about to do. With an approving smile Aleks turned to the Hufflepuff. At this point he didn’t have to ask who was running this operation.
The Slytherin girl brought snacks, the Hufflepuff brought nothing and behaved like the president of the seventh circle of hell.
That suspicion was confirmed when he answered. Somehow, it made Aleks feel oddly satisfied, like he’d discovered a hidden talent for deduction. Maybe he deserves to be in the blue house instead?

The reply was more direct than he’d expected. No pussy shit. They’d go all in. Nothing would be written down, and absolute secrecy was mandatory.
Aleks didn’t have to think long to know he was in on the deal. A wide grin spread easily across his face, and amusement lit his green eyes.
“I’m in. What’s the worst that could happen? We’re not even in fourth year yet. I don’t think they’ll kick us out. In case of being caught we can say we misunderstood the rulebook.”
Theoretically, anyway.

Victoria's blue eyes widened in shock as the Hufflepuff kid reached for the chips and started eating like he hadn’t seen food in weeks. She tilted her head slightly, a hint of concern flickering in her eyes. "Do they not feed you?" she thought, watching in horrified fascination. The way his fingers gripped the bag like a lifeline… Maybe he really hadn’t eaten in days. Or maybe he was just dramatic. Either way, it was tragic behavior.

She wanted to ask, but figured that might be rude, so she kept her mouth shut. As the boy devoured the chips like he hadn’t eaten in ten years, Victoria glanced at the one who had brought them. He didn’t seem annoyed—in fact, he wore a relaxed grin. A few strands of his brown hair had fallen over his face.

She had caught herself tugging at her sleeve three times in the last minute. Nervous energy. She hated it. But being around strangers always made her feel like she had to prove something. Victoria noticed from the others’ reactions that they didn’t really seem to know what Honeydukes was when she mentioned it. Her eyes narrowed slightly in confusion. Honeydukes—the best chocolate shop in the world (at least in her opinion)—how could they not know it? She made a mental note to offer them some of the chocolate later.

"I'll have some licorice wands."

A small smile spread across Victoria’s face, a dimple appearing on her right cheek. A subtle warmth sparked in her usually cold eyes. Someone wanted to eat something she had brought, and that chased away the feeling that she didn’t belong there.

It was stupid how satisfying it felt. Like being picked first in a game she didn’t even want to play—but still, it counted."Here," Victoria said, not giving away the entire snack—she was afraid the boy would eat all of it and there’d be none left for the others. Victoria stepped back after she handed the snacks.

Then she heard a familiar male voice and lifted her head. Her eyes lit up—it was someone she knew. Her smile grew a little wider.
“Welcome Mikey,” she said, feeling more at ease now. She wasn’t the only girl here, and someone she’d talked to before was present. Then she noticed the flicker of nervousness in Mikey's eyes, that brought a small frown on her pale face. She tried to ignore this, everyone could feel nervous when they stepped into a new group, yeah?

Victoria turned to the hufflepuff boy, listened him while he talk, and a small frown crossed her face.
“Excuse me—what did you bring?” she asked, her tone polite but distant. She didn’t like how he was trying to take control of the group. If he was going to eat everything, the least he could do was contribute something, right? Then she listened the slytherin boy.

"In case of being caught we can say we misunderstood the rulebook."

She glanced at the slytherin boy with the soft brown hair again when he talked. He talked like he was performing for a nonexistent camera, and yet somehow it worked. Annoyingly so. But it amused her.

Victoria bit the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing. She had to admit, the boy seemed like he may have good sense of humor. She muttered to herself with a touch of sarcasm,
“Mhm, why isn’t this kid in Ravenclaw?”

Her fingers found the silver star ring she always wore. One twist around, then two. She only did that when she was thinking too hard. And in the moment, she was trying to understand will she feel comfortable in this group. Then she shrugged. Trying won't hurt, yeah?

She looked around at everyone for a few seconds, they all seemed like they were ready to participate. She hummed, then mumbled,
“I’m in too.” she mumbled, then added with a wry tilt of her mouth, Someone has to make sure this hufflepuff doesn’t eat the whole snack. she quietly thought, though she did not say this loud.

Mikey hadn't known what he was hoping to see when he strolled down to the lake, but it wasn't this madness, sugar-hyped hallucination. He sat as the Hufflepuff kid whom he was increasingly certain was the brains behind this whole plan, munched away on the Doritos as if they were a life-or-death proposition. Cool ranch crumbs oozed out of the sides of his mouth like from a doll-sized food volcano. The manner in which he tore open the bag caused Mikey's eyebrows to rise fully an inch in something akin to terror and amazement.

Mikey, however, was not without fear. Not the sort that grabbed at your ankles and sent you scurrying for cover, but the sort that was quietly ensconced in the rear of your chest and set your heart racing pound-for-pound harder than it ever should have. The sort that whispered don't blow it. But then he didn't want to act like a loser. So he put his hands in his pockets and attempted to barge into the scene like he belonged here. Like he wasn't going out of his way to examine everyone else's face to see if he already made some kind of embarrassing move.

Victoria said hello, and his upper back muscles eased a bit. Her calm voice brought him back to earth, and he offered her a gentle nod and a thankful smile. At least he wasn't alone in playing catch-up here.

Then came the Hufflepuff’s declaration “we’re not here to do pussy shit” and Mikey blinked once, trying not to laugh or visibly react. He wasn’t even sure if he agreed with that sentence, but the commitment was kind of impressive. Still, he caught Victoria’s question out of the corner of his eye, and, honestly, it was a good one. "Uh, that is. technically, I brought snacks?" he growled, near defensively. "So that counts. I think."

He glared at Aleks, whose smile was too big to be anything but malevolent, and at Hana, who was clearly too happy to be on the peripheries of an incipient revolution. Mikey chewed on the flesh of his cheek. Jump in, or back off. And he knew a thing or two about backing off. About remaining on the sidelines, faking that he wasn't interested. Faking that he didn't want in. His feelings were conflicted a little over the chance of getting caught. He had already been in detention three times this year and didn’t want to be labeled as “that kid”

No way. Not now.

Mikey moved slightly, dropping his snack bag onto the closest strip of lawn as if in reverence to the gods of mayhem. "I'm in," he said a bit louder now. "I'm not saying I have any idea, like, how to make a firework explode inside or sneak into the Restricted Section. But I'm up for some end of the year fun. Just possibly not the kind that gets me expelled, yeah?"
