@Bree Grey
"I cant believe this!" Mikey thought to him self as he made his way to the potions classroom. "Its not like I really did anything wrong." He huffed silently hiking down the long stairs. This was Mikey's first time going to detention in his life and to him being the first time in his personal history it had to be unjust.
He felt almost like he had swallowed a rock covered in slugs and it had sank to the bottom of his stomach. He had not even started classes yet and he was already in trouble. Mikey was used to getting into trouble back home but it was all in good fun. People usually just laughed it off and said "boys will be boys" or he could talk his way out of it. But not this time. He was in real trouble with real consequences.
When Mikey finally made it to the door of the potions classroom he paused. Unsure of what to expect when he entered his mind wondered to all sorts of possibilities. Would he have to write something like IM SORRY over and over again until his hand was cramping from using the quill? Or would he just be yelled at by the professor and told to fix the error of his ways.
Before he could think of the next uncomfortable thought he heard footsteps behind him. His brain instantly told him its the professor coming to start detention and he froze in place staring straight at the wall Infront of him willing it to swallow him up.

Im smiling to myself as I walk towards the potion classroom. I couldnt help it. Its my first detention in my entire life and it was for something so stupid. Just because i apperently talk too much and didnt pay attention in class. Sure i might of said some things I shouldnt have said but it was the truth. Its not my fault that some people cant handle the truth.
Right before I get to the classroom I see someon there. A boy and he freezes at the door. I laugh slightly as I walk behind him.
"First detention?" I ask when im in the classroom. I turn around so I could see him more clearly. "It probably wont even be as bad as you think. Although I cant say trust me i know because thisis my first detention too. But it wont be terrible. Especially that you arent doing it alone."
I look around the classroom noting that the potion teacher isnt there yet. I let out a sigh of relief. Id probably get into more trouble for laughing when i was already in trouble.
I stick my hand out, "Im Bree. Whats your name and how'd you get here?"
Before he could answer I pull him in. I listen to his answer and cut him off suddenly when I hear footsteps.
"Shh! Act like you feel really really guilty. Maybe we could skip it if we do."
I stifle my laugh when the teacher walks in. The moment he turns his back I wink to him. Then i look towards the potion teacher when he starts talking.

An Unlikely Place To Make A Friend
Afternoon after all classes had finished was the perfect time to give detention. It's usually very unlikely for Lesmana to give one but this time was a bit different. Two students from different houses and with different problems. The girl, named Bree Grey, solicited the rules by making the commotion in the potions class. A warning had been given once but it seemed the fight was more interesting than obeying the rules. Mikey Forville was found in the Great Hall having a heated argument with a school ghost with insults that the boy threw. Different problems but similar in nature. Lesmana thought about what should he do to teach them to be more respectful of each other and their surrounding.
From his office, Lesmana could hear someone enter the classroom. He waited for some moments until another person entered it again. Some chat also happened that made the professor stepped outside of his office to meet the two students. Both were standing in silence. He sighed when he looked at the girl who seemed to try to hold her laugh. What is she laughing about? Lesmana wondered. "I hope both of you have made self-reflection on why you are given detention this evening. In case you haven't thought about it, I will give you time to do it."
"So while both of you are reflecting, I have assignments for you to finish. Follow me." Lesmana led them to a potion station full of dirty equipment. "Mr. Forville and Miss Grey," he called them. "Your task is to clean these cauldrons, mortars and pestles. Wash and scrub them, make sure they are really clean." There were 10 size-2-cauldrons and 10 pairs of mortar and pestle on the potion station. The station was also equipped with faucets, scrubs, and soap. "After everything here is cleaned, fill this paper with your self-reflection." Lesmana put some paper on the clean potion station along with two ink and quills. "Write about what problem made you get this detention, the reason behind this problem, and what the wiser way to face your problem. Add that you will not repeat it again at the end of your reflection and a signature with your name at the bottom of the paper. Come back to me when you finished all the tasks with your papers. I will not let you go if it's not done properly."
Lesmana went to the professor's desk with a pile of parchments of students' work. "You can start now." Lesmana started to grade all of the assignments while supervising the first-years.
This is your detention thread. Your character made some IC problems that led them to get this detention. Don't worry, you're not in any problem OOC. You will be required to write 300 words minimum and prohibited from making a new thread until you meet the requirement. You can make them into one post or two posts. Please remember that the site rules still apply so one post must not be less than 200 words. Have fun. @Mikey Forville and @Bree Grey

Mikey was broken from his intense starring contest with the wall by the sound of a girls voice. "First detention" she says from behind him. She continued to tell him that it probably wont be as bad as he thinks. As authentic as this girl seemed her words didn't do much to ease Mikey's nerves. They entered the classroom and she extended a hand to him. "I'm Bree. What's your name and how'd you get here?" she asked pulling him. He got Half of a splutter out that sounded more like My Key than Mikey when she cut him off. They both heard the Potions Professor approaching from his office. "Shh! Act like you feel really really guilty. Maybe we could skip it if we do." Bree said in a way that Mikey couldn't tell if she was being serious or trying to make light of the situation. Noticing her trying to hide her giggle he assumed the latter.
Professor Asmaralaya said "I hope both of you have made self-reflection on why you are given detention this evening. In case you haven't thought about it, I will give you time to do it." Self-reflection? Mikey was still to frustrated and mad at the ridiculousness of the whole situation he hadn't even begun to have any self reflection. There he was at the Ravenclaw table eating breakfast with the other students when a ghost pops out of the table trying to pick a fight. "I'm within my right to defend myself." He thought to himself anything but calm. He took a deep breath and tried to think it through a bit more logical. 'I guess it did get pretty heated' he thought remembering how fast it really got out of hand. The more he thought about it the more he realized the ghost was just doing some light teasing and Mikey had list his temper. He had said things that would have gotten him grounded for a month if his family had herd him say them. He guessed he did need to do some self reflecting. He was a Hogwarts student now and needed to carry himself with a bit more class under pressure and not be so quick to fight back.
The Professor of potions had Mikey and Bree follow him to a potion station full of dirty cauldrons and mortar and pestles. He said they would have to clean all of them and once cleaned write a paper on his self reflection with a wiser way to approach the problem and how to not repeat the same mistake. It all seemed like a daunting task but definitely not as bad as it was building itself up to be in his head. The Professor went to his desk and was going through a stack of papers that looked like work from other students. "I guess we should crack on." He whispered to Bree. "I'm Mikey by the way not sure if I got it all the way out the fist time." He continued to whisper while he rolled up his sleeves.

"I hope both of you have made self-reflection on why you are given detention this evening. In case you haven't thought about it, I will give you time to do it."
I groan inwardly. Self reflection!? So stupid. I resist the urge to roll my eyes. I didn't even start the fight! I follow the professor to the dirty cauldrons, mortar, and pestles. We get to clean those. Yay. I smile at the guy next to me. He says his name is Mikey. I laugh slightly when he says he isn't sure that he got it out the first time.
"No worries. Although you looked like death was right in front of you," I whisper back and roll up my sleeves, "See I told you it wouldn't be that bad."
We start cleaning as the professor goes to his desk to grade papers. When I glance over at Mikey he seemed deep in thought. I sigh slightly as I finish a cauldron. "So," I whisper to him, "Why'd you get detention?" I laugh slightly and smile at him when he tells me why.
I bite my lip slightly as I tell him why I got detention. "I probably apologize to her about what I said." I smile brightly at him, "We should totally be friends!"
We finish the cauldrons and move onto the pestles. Professor Asmaralaya glances over at us and I look down at the pestle, not making eye contact. I look over at Mikey and smile at him. "Are you still worried about this detention?"

Sleeves rolled up Mikey set to work washing the cauldrons. Bree let him know she was able to catch his name from his half mumbled reply from earlier. She seemed to laugh a lot and Mikey wasn't sure if that made him more comfortable or more uneasy about getting in more trouble with the professor. He decided he enjoyed hearing her laugh and it was probably worth whatever small trouble that might come after. She whispered "Why'd you get detention?" Mikey felt instantly uncomfortable as he did not want her to think, or rumor to spared he was some hot head who couldn't control his temper. "I got in a bit of a tiff with one of the castle ghost." he replied hoping she would drop it there. She replied by laughing again slightly and smiled at him. Well that must be that he thought with high hopes.
She went on to explain why she was next to him cleaning cauldrons and it left him taken aback. It was hard for him to believe this bubbly girl said anything unkind but I guess we all have our limits. she then gave him a full smile and said "We should totally be friends!" Once again Mikey was hit by the statement like a blow to the head. He smiled and nodded dumbly trying to piece together the last thirty seconds. "Sounds good!" is what came out of his mouth before he could come up with a proper reply.
Mikey and his new (friend) or at least detention mate finished up with the cauldrons and were about to start scrubbing the mortar and pestles when Bree whispered to him again "Are you still worried about this detention?" To be honest he had started to forget that he was even in detention having made some minor self discovery and possibly a new friend. The work of scrubbing the cauldrons became one of those monotonies tasks that end up flying by in no time when you are in good compony or lost in thought. "No, not worried anymore just exited to get out of here and back to normal school stuff" He said again speaking before thinking. He hoped she didn't think he was saying (normal) as in before we met but it felt like the time to clarify had already passed. He got to work on the mortar and pestles now wishing his hands had a break from being underwater as they were turning pruney from being submerged. "Have you thought about your reflection paper yet?" he asked in a whisper wishing he was better at small talk.

I smile when I hear that he isn't worried anymore. Well, that's good, I think. I glance up in surprise about the reflection paper. I forgot but I did think about it in the beginning. "Not much," I admit, "I only thought about it when he told us about it and then totally forgot about it. How bout you?" I ask.
I listen to his answer and smile at him when we only have one mortal and pestle left. I grab the pestle and clean it real quick. Then I dry my hands. I lean against the counter and study my nails as he finishes the mortar. When he's done I look up at him, "So are you ready to write our reflection papers?" I walk towards the paper and hand Mikey a quill and ink, "Well I guess we got to get started."
I pull up a chair and sit down. As I think of what to write I doodle a little. I glance down and curse myself quietly. "Oh bloody hell! I did it again." A stupid habit I grew of decorated the edges of my papers. ALL of them. I start writing and midway of being down I glance at Mikey. He seems to be doing this easily. But then Ive never really been great at saying its my fault. When Im done I sign my paper then go up to the professor.
"I'm truly sorry for disrupting you class today." I say as I hand him my reflection.

Today I got in an argument with another student and disrupted class. We were working on a potion together when she made a comment about how I was making the potion. I got offend and said that she didn't know anything and was stupid. When you Professer Asmaralaya said to sit back down and stop I didn't listen and continued the argument.
Instead of doing that I should have ignored it and if it bothered me that much tell Professer Asmaralaya. I did the wrong thing by continuing the argument and being rude. Next time it happens I wont insult them and talk to Professer Asmaralaya.
I have learned from my actions. And next time I will not react so meanly and make a better choice.

Bree said she hadn't really thought about the reflection paper and that put Mikey at a bit more ease. She asked if he had thought about it, he gave a quick shrug and replied "A bit but it shouldn't be too difficult." I started washing the last mortar while Bree finished cleaning the final pestle dried her hands then seemed to be inspecting her nails.
Once I had finished cleaning the mortar Bree looked from her nails to me and asked "So are you ready to write our reflection papers?" She passed me a quill and said we had better get started. I had a feeling she was just as exited as me to be out of detention and join the other students in the common room before curfew. I started working on the paper when I thought I heard Bree whisper something like "bloody hell." I looked up to see if she had been talking to me but she looked to be busy with her paper and I must have been just hearing things.
I returned my focus to writing my reflection paper determined to be finished with detention. I was making good time and setting a good pace, after all I had reflected and did feel bad if only a little for the ghost.

I Mikey Forville realize that my actions have consequences. This morning I got into a shouting match with one of the castles ghost and escalated things well beyond necessary. Although antagonized by the ghost I should have carried myself in a manner more fitting of a student at Hogwarts. I did not and have learned from my mistake.
I am now aware of the rules against provoking the castle ghost and or paintings. I understand that these rules apply to students who don't instigate the confrontation as well. It does not matter "Who started it" and I need to act better under pressure and taunting. The ghost don't need to go out into the world and represent the school like the students do and I plan to do what I can to maintain the schools reputation.
From here on out I will practice more patience and not be so quick to anger when provoked. I will also make a point to apologize to the ghost and my fellow students for my poor behavior as well as my foul language. I have reflected on my actions and have no intentions of repeating them. I will show more respect to the Professors, students, and other beings in the castle as well as on the castle grounds here at Hogwarts.
I have served detention for my actions and been given time to reflect on how to correct them in the future. I believe I have learned my lesson from this situation as well as a deeper life lesson about respect and communication. I am exited to resume my studies in a new light and continue working hard to maintain a calm and respectful attitude towards any and all sentient beings here at the school and in my day to day life outside of Hogwarts in the future.

Lesmana sometimes glanced at the students to see if they had done the task well. And they did. Lesmana could focus more on his papers and grade all of the work that was piled on the Professor's table. He heard some chit-chat. He thought that they must be bored with the work. So he let them be. He had been a student after all. He more or less knew how they felt.
He was in deep focus until he felt a presence coming near him. The girl, Bree Grey, turned in her reflection paper. Lesmana read it, looked at the girl, and said, "It's okay. I hope you learnt and move on." Not long after that, Mikey Forville got up and turned his self-reflection paper. Again, Lesmana read the paper carefully and nodded. He could understand his frustration. "Both of you need to calm down and keep a cool head before jumping into any action." Lesmana stopped to see both students before continuing, "I hope you don't repeat your mistake again. If you're in a bad situation again, don't hesitate to report it to the professors or prefects." Lesmana gave Mikey and Bree a smile.
He looked at the mechanical clock. "I will see you again in the next classes." Lesmana piled up all the parchments and papers and went back to his office.
Lesmana left the thread. Feel free to continue this on your own.

After Mikey turned in his paper Professer Asmaralaya turned around and looked at us. "Both of you need to calm down and keep a cool head before jumping into any action. I hope you don't repeat your mistake again. If you're in a bad situation again, don't hesitate to report it to the professors or prefects." He smiles at us and I smile back. I can not wait to get out of this detention.
I turn to Mikey and smile at him after the Professer leaves, "Well I guess were good to go. Maybe we could meet up later."
I started walking towards the door. Then I turn back around and look at Mikey, "You know what," I let a small laugh, "We should totally meet up tomorrow after dinner or before breakfast."
I leave the class room then wait for Mikey to catch up. I walk with him a little until we get to the stairs that lead up to the Gryffindor common room. I smile at him, "Bye!" I say, "Ill see you tomorrow. Don't fight any ghosts again at breakfast. Remember the fight will never end cause they are dead and you'll just go through them" I laugh slightly as I go up into the common room.
