AEIOUSA𝔭rat sighed heavily as he stomped down the corridors of Hogwarts. Today hadn't been an eventful day for him. His cloak had chosen the worst possible moment to snag itself on a sharp corner of a door, which left him looking like a disheveled bat, with no conscious or mood to reparo it. He'd barely managed to free himself of that trouble when the book he'd been carrying slipped from his grasp and crashed to the floor. Another excessive task. And as if that wasn't enough, his immediate requirement for vision, his spectacles had met their untimely end under the clumsy stomp of his own shoe. It felt as if the universe itself had conspired to make this day a living hell for him. Craving a respite from the relentless bad luck, he decided to seek solace in the dungeons.

As Prat descended down to the dungeons, his thoughts swirled fixated on 'Why can't I catch a break?' Just as he thought he'd found peace and quiet alone, he heard the echo of footsteps following his own. Disappointment set in him. The very last thing he wanted was company, especially after the disastrous day he'd had. The footsteps grew closer, the presence of another person becoming more significant. He clenched his fists as he braced himself for an unwelcome interaction, his eyes attempted to scan the shadows for the intruder. But as the figure emerged from the gloom, he realized he had no idea who this figure was. 'Of all the people to ruin my solitude', Prat thought with a mix of dread and curiosity.

Prat's eyes narrowed as he took in the unfamiliar figure approaching him. The boy looked his age ,rough around the edges in comparison, The corners of Prat's mouth twitched upwards in a sly smile. The idea struck him like a bolt of lightning—why not relieve some stress with this unknown soul? "Do you wanna fight?" he blurted out, the challenge in his voice starkly contrasting with the broken solitude of the dungeons. "I'm bored," he added, as if that was reason enough to throw down in the middle of the dungeons. He squared his shoulders and waited for the stranger's reply, ready to channel his misfortune into a bit of good old-fashioned Hogwarts brawl.

It was one of those rare days where Dennis was seeing red. Dennis received news that his sister was in poor health. His mood was already brooding. His sister was to start Hogwarts next year and he was really looking forward to showing her the ropes, something, as the oldest, he wasn’t afforded. The missive contained no further details as to his sister’s condition. Was it just a cold? Was it life threatening? Was she ever going to walk again!? How could his parents not give more details!? On his way down to the potions classroom to ask the professor a question, he got checked by not one but two older students who didn’t seem to see him in the slightest. They were lucky the ran away, Dennis thought to himself even though they probably were just continuing on their own business.

His dark mood really didn’t let up as he realized he not only missed his turn but was continuing down to what smelled like the sewers. It was dank and musty, humid and pungent. All the smell the Ravenclaw really hated. Someone should really clean up down here. He made it down the stairs to what he now knew was the dungeons. Had he ever been down here? Dennis couldn’t honestly remember. There was, however, someone already here. What kind of person wants to stew in filth? He probably has a punchable face. Yeah. Punchable.

As he neared, the pretty boy in the ratty robes sneered at him. Oh, punchable indeed. Dennis really didn’t hear the rest of what the pompous Slytherin had to say. No one else was here, and nothing was stopping him. Dennis counted his steps as he got closer. 1 - his right fist clinched and his muscles tensed under his robes. Even if his robes hid his intent, his face sure didn’t. 2 - his right should dropped and his left hand came up in a blocking motion by his left hear. He was going to wipe that smirk off this jerk. 3 - with the last step he let his right fist fly in a uppercut motion right to where the other boy’s solar plexus would be.

AEIOUSA𝔭rat narrowed his eyes as he noticed halfway when the other boy's fist swung through the empty air where his chest would have been a moment ago. He could not understand the audacity of the boy who threw a punch before he was even finished speaking. As he watched the punch sail by him, Prat felt his heart racing. This wasn't fear but rather the thrill of this challenge. He had seen this kind of aggression before, even dealt some of it. This was not the first time it was directed at him. He had to act quickly, he was aware of that already. He stepped aside and allowed the momentum of the failed punch to dodge the boy slightly without going off balance. This was his chance to counterattack.

"What the fu- " Prat's voice trailed off as the other boy's fist whipped by. He used the brief moment to his advantage, 1. shifting his weight onto the balls of his feet and preparing to strike back. "Nvm, this is fine," he thought with a smug satisfaction. Prat's hand balled into a fist and shot towards the ravenclaw's jaw with a swiftness that belied his lean frame.

Prat's mind was a delightful void as his fist shot out like a bullet, aiming for that jaw. The joy of physical confrontation, of letting his frustrations out in a raw, unbridled dance of fists and instinct. It was a thrilling rush, a way to release pent-up frustration that made him feel alive. He didn't need to think about the consequences or reason. The world around them faded into a delightful blur of movement and adrenaline.

Ok, so his strategy of just walking up to the guy and clocking him didn’t pan out. He can’t say he wasn’t disappointed as his fist soared through the air and completely missed it’s target. He cursed his luck. Worse still, this boy’s smirk was still firmly painted on his face. Probably thinks he’s so smooth dodging a punch he could see from across the room. However, something he wasn’t expecting was, this Slytherin also seemed to be waiting to fight someone as he was also ready with an answer.

A straight punch coming to his face. The other boy wasn’t afraid. Good. This would make beating him so much better. Dennis soundly blocked the punch as he already had his hand up ready for it. “Not bad for a snake,” Dennis said, this time he was the one smirking. “Might try to hit me next time.” He pulled his free hand, the right hand that missed to his left ear, still clinched. Time to make this punk submit he thought. He with a twist of his torso and a step he lashed out with a back fist aimed at the side of his opponent’s face.

Dennis would be lying if he said this wasn’t fun. Sure, no one landed a punch, almost as if the chance gods were laughing at them, but the physical exertion and the pure release made him feel alive. In his mind this was an epic fight of massive proportions even if the reality was two kids just slapping each other in the basement. Boys would be boys. If they both lived to tell this tale, perhaps having even more people would be a fun idea. But first, he had to win.

WWWWWWhen Dennis's fist shot towards him, Prat's instincts took over his motor controls. He saw the punch coming as if in slow motion, just like in those old boxing movies he had watched in the muggle world with his uncle. He thought of Rocky Balboa, how he was always weaving and dodging with the grace of a dance, but in reality, Prat stumbled more than he glided here. His every muscle straining to react in time. The smack of air as the punch whooshed by his cheek made him dip his head back, but he couldn't show that he was backing away.

In his mind, this was fun, he thought he was dodging with finesse, yet reality betrayed him, scraping the floor as he barely avoided the blow. "Not too shabby," he spoke towards the ravenclaw , trying to keep his breath steady.

He felt a burning sensation in his lungs, the adrenaline coursing through his veins. Was this what excitement he had heard of? One that could only be felt in the middle of an encounter akin to this one. He had to land a hit, show that raven, whose name he didn't know. He clenched his fists tighter, narrowing his eyes, and prepared to counterattack.

He saw the opportunity in this blur of movement, a sliver of vulnerability in that cocky defense mounted by Dennis's face. It was time for him to show some teeth of his own. He tensed his muscles, coiling them like a spring, waiting for what he thought was the perfect moment to unleash his own flurry of violence on the other kid (flurry, but it's just one punch). His eyes locked onto his target, the side of that face that had attempted to cause him torment. Prat's fist shot out with all the pent-up frustration and anger he had been holding back on various things.

One moment, Dennis felt in control, deftly dodging and blocking. He definitely, in his mind at least, had the upper hand. However, yet again, this slippery snake managed to dodge his attack. What was this guy made up? Vaseline? His last fight he at least got some good blows in before shit hit the fan, why couldn’t he handle this boy?

Regardless of the frustration, the fact he had something physical to do to release his pent up angst was a godsend. He was having fun for the moment and it seemed like the feeling was mutual for his opponent. Their little awkward dance in the dungeon though would be cringy to most, but in the heat of the fight it didn’t matter to him at all.

He was getting ready to block, but perhaps he was too much in his own mind, because the next thing he knew, his face hurt. Knuckles on cheek, Dennis flinched and everything went dark for what felt like an eternity. He blinked and he was back. He didn’t have time to congratulate his opponent on the shot, he wouldn’t give the boy the satisfaction. It was on like….like….as if it were two giant gorillas charging at each other or something.

Dennis lurched sideways, feigning pain. Despite the sting in his cheek, he wasn’t going to let this Slytherin pretty boy get the best of him. He took a sidestep and he was ready. He lashed out with a side kick to the other boy’s stomach, hands up ready to defend.

WWWWWFrom Prat's view, the adrenaline was pumping within him as he caught Dennis's side kick, blocking it for good. He felt a smug satisfaction at throwing off the Ravenclaw boy's rhythm, his mind racing with the thrill and excitement. He could almost see the surprise in Dennis's eyes as his hand connected with the incoming blow. Prat's thoughts were a whirlwind of strategy and anticipation as he stepped into the opening, his body a coiled spring ready to strike. The knee was a vulnerable target among all humans, and Prat knew it; if he could hit it just right, he could bring the other boy to his knees. His eyes remained locked on Dennis. Not wavering at all as he continued to observe for any sign of weakness or a way to counterattack. He felt a strange sense of freedom between the two, this act of violence no matter how rash and absurd, brought some semblance of freedom to his very . With a swift, precise motion, he aimed his own kick at the bending point of Dennis's leg, his smirk now turning into a grin.

Prat's inner monologue was a mix of focus and exhilaration as he launched his kick to strike that knee. He was aware of how risky that move was, both for him and Dennis. But the thrill of the fight had taken over him by now, and he couldn't resist the temptation to push it as far as he could. Time seemed to slow down for him as his foot approached its target, the wait for the impact sent a shiver down Prat's spine. Would Dennis see it coming? Would he be able to block it? Would i be able to land this kick? The questions danced in his mind, but the joy of the battle overshadowed any doubt or . This was what he lived for—the heat of the moment. What mattered was the challenge, and the pure, unbridled passion of the fight.

Dennis once again cursed his luck. He was expecting some excellent moves like his fight against Nic but he continued to come up empty. He didn’t appreciate getting punched in the face while missing everything he was throwing. No punch and no kick. Had he really gotten that old that his nimbleness in a fight had fried? Surely one year older didn’t make him geezer! Dennis didn’t have a lot of time to mope about. The Slytherin had caught his foot and was on the move! The knee, huh?

“Not so fast,” Dennis growled, his mounting frustration at his own incompetence getting the better of him. He stomped down hard, breaking free of the other boy’s grip, hopefully knocking him off balance. The redhead shifted his weight to the now free foot to pivot his back leg out of the reach of his opponent, clearing soundly any attack that was coming. With the moment created from the torch of the movement, Dennis let fly an elbow strike right to the jaw. This time he had the advantage.

Despite the frustration, he really hoped that he could formally meet this formidable foe. They both seemed to have some shocking intuition even though they had a plethora of mistimed moves. This was still shaping up to be a fight for the ages in his adolescent mind. No matter what happened, he’d definitely want to face this guy again in the future! If this elbow strike connected, they would once again be on an even score. Though honestly, Dennis wasn’t sure how much longer his frail frame could keep up with this pace.

WWWWWPrat felt a surge of pain and show as the elbow connected with his jaw, the impact sent a sharp jolt through his body, even rattling his teeth. His eyes watered from the suddenness of it all, and he had to bite his tongue to keep from wincing out. He hadn't even considered such a quick and decisive counter from Dennis. As he stumbled back, his body landed awkwardly on one foot, he couldn't help but admire the other boy's tenacity despite his frame. "fabulous," he murmured, his voice strained as his face remained contorted to the side from the hit. "You're fun." He took a deep breath, steeling himself against the pain that was not seemingly fading into a dull throb anytime soon. "We should keep going on" he said in a tired tone, their breaths now catching up with them. With a twinkle in his eye, he began to circle around, his hands up and ready to continue the fight. "I'll try show you a few tricks fun boy !!"

Prat felt the adrenaline coursing through him as he talked to dennis, same time he took a moment to assess the damage. His jaw throbbed painfully, but showing weakness here was not an option, not one Prat could choose at the very least, he had a reputation to maintain. He took a few more deep breaths and composed himself, "can you keep this going" he challenged, his voice mixed of joke and genuine curiosity. He knew better than to underestimate Dennis now. During this conversation, Prat saw his opportunity glittering right before him, as he took a step forward and threw a jab at his opponent's nose, intending to strike the same chord of pain that had been played against him, he wished to make dennis feel what he felt.

He did it! Finally, he hit this pretty boy. It was a good one too, his elbow hurt as it made contact with bone. Dennis felt powerful as he saw his opponent stagger backward. What a rush! It was so solid, he thought he had him. The Ravenclaw was well aware that had that happened to him, he’d have to call it quits. Alas, the show must go on. Much to a mixture of disappointment and thrill, the Slytherin gathered himself up and was ready to go again. Although, for a moment it seemed like Dennis had won after all, as the other boy seemed to struggle with his words. He still wanted to fight? If it was a fight he wanted, it was a fight he got! “I’m good if you are. Bring it!” Dennis smirked.

And then it happened. The boy, whose name he still didn’t know, stepped forward and with a straight right. Should he dodge? Should he move? No, the fearless Ravenclaw, with more gumption than his slight frame belied, chose to take it. Standing where he was, he was determined to demonstrate how tough he really was. He took it right on the nose. The eye watering sting and warmth welling up inside his nose was his reward. He closed his eyes and winced against the pain. Stay strong. You have to respond, he yelled at himself. His eyes snapped open to look his opponent dead in the eyes, not budging, tears welling up in the corners of his eyes, a small trail of blood trickling out of one nostril, resisting the urge to cry out in pain. For the split second it took, that felt like an eternity of locking eyes with his foe, Dennis responded with a left hook to the kidney area.
