The Mistletoe Spin Group #7
Group 7
THE RULES:Reducio
- All PCs and iNPCs are welcome to join this event, but must have signed up and been assigned to a group. Please only post in a group to which you have been assigned.
- Each round will last the duration of 1 song and will be moderated once per week.
- At the end of each round (week), the song will end and students will find themselves paused with a new partner. Some pairs will find themselves paused under a floating sprig of mistletoe, and others will be spared from the embarrassment! If you and your partner find yourselves under the mistletoe, you're supposed to kiss... but whether you choose to is completely up to you.
- You may post as many times as you like per round to do unmoderated actions such as talking and dancing, but you only get ONE moderated action (kissing, hexing, punching, etc.) per round, so spend it wisely.
- Failure to post in a round will result in your character freezing and declining any actions that come their way (such as kisses). Failure to post in more than one round may result in your character being removed from the game.
- Note that all IC rules still apply, as do all site rules and ratings, so behave yourselves!
In addition to the variety of differently-decorated tents scattered across the magically snowy ground of the London Quidditch Stadium, those exiting their temporary residences on the evening of Friday, August 2nd would have been greeted with a lovely sight. Several small, rectangular dance floors were set up earlier that afternoon in various points around the stadium, and each was now decorated and gave off a golden glow. Those curious as to their use could approach to find that each dance floor was guarded by a post bearing a list of carefully calligraphed names. It seems that today's guest lists are regulated to ensure certain dancers end up on certain floors.
Each dance floor was set up to appear exactly the same, without any fear of getting a "better" location for the evening's mistletoe ball, this year's version of the ever-popular Twirl the Flagon game that has occurred at summer camps past each year. Only when one approached the area bearing their name could they move past the outside barrier and onto the dance floor.
The rectangular floor itself appeared reminiscent of a chessboard, with golden and brown diamonds emitting a soft, warm glow from below, as though each tile sat upon a miniature sun that was simply bursting to escape. Similarly, those who touched the floor would find that it was slightly warmed to stave off the surrounding snow, which also fell lightly from enchanted clouds above. The floor was also lined with flickering candles on the two longest sides - careful not to catch your fragile evening gowns or dress robes in their flames!
Nearby, an enchanted string quartet of instruments play a lovely, if somewhat fast-paced, waltz on their own without a single musician among them. Above the floor, if one were to glance skyward, their view of a wonderfully starry night sky would be partially blocked by floating objects. Upon closer inspection, about half of these seemingly randomly placed unidentified fliers would be found to be candles, while the other half would be small, greenish bundles each lit with an interior golden glow. The promised mistletoe for the mistletoe ball.
One final detail, beautifully enchanted by magic far beyond students' puny reaches, would await those who took even a single step onto the glowing dance floor. Was it a mild form of the Dancing Feet Spell, Tarantallegra? Or perhaps some other, unknown charm? Either way, those who wandered onto the dance floor would find themselves whisked into a fast-paced, whirling dance for which they somehow magically knew all of the steps. Each dancer will also change partners multiple times in a single song, so you may not even know who you end up dancing with, but they too will know the steps from the enchantment. Never fear if you've never danced before - you will dance today!
Just be careful - for when the music stops and so do your pounding feet, you may find yourself under a floating candle and be safe, or you may find yourself under one of the hovering bundles of mistletoe with a strange partner. Will you choose to follow the mandate of the mistletoe and kiss them, or will you choose to break the rule?
This event takes place, IC, on AUGUST 2.
Moderations will occur EVERY SATURDAY.
Mods will not occur at the same time each week, so make sure you post before Saturdays to ensure your post gets in!

![]() | ── | August. The hottest month of the year. Kim was finally feeling much better. Well, there was still depression, but at least he wasn't feeling sick all the time. Vomiting up the slugs and fighting them had taken a lot out of him. But he could tell the difference between when he'd been infested and now, when he was free of them. Somehow, Kim found himself participating in this summer's twist of Spin the Bottle. He hadn't intended on doing this but apparently he'd signed up for a few things he didn't remember doing earlier that month. But he might as well do it, since backing out now seemed like a cheap thing to do. Small rectangular dance floors could be seen around the area with names written in calligraphy on each post at the edge of the floor. Kim found his own name and upon glancing upward, noticed a bunch of floating candles and bunches of mistletoe. Ah, yes. He remembered that from Damion's mansion. Upon glancing around, Kim noticed he was the first one to approach and decided to wait by the dance floor until others came. After all, there was no point to going onto the dance floor until the event started or until others came. What would he do? |

By that time in his school career, Jack was completely over balls. Their school already tended to have at least two a year - the spring one and the fall one - but this summer one was new. If it could even really be called a ball at all. The redhead wasn't sure what the definition of the word was, but he doubted the various 'dance floors' scattered across the snow-covered grounds of the London Quidditch Stadium fit it. Still, he had signed up for the event just the same, so he thought he might as well attend.
He walked up to the various posts with the names listed on them until he found his and slowly approached its accompanying dance floor. He wasn't wearing anything particularly formal or special, but neither was the only other person he saw there. A younger boy by the look of him, but nevertheless familiar.
"Helloooo there~!" Jack greeted in a sing-songy voice that sounded just the slightest bit off somehow. "You were that kid who threw that Christmas party with your friend that other year, weren't you? The one Ellwood and I attended and tried to start a duel at. Kim Aoki, was it?" He tilted his head as he grinned at Kim sideways, a touch of derangement in his lop-sided grin. "What's the matter? Party not as fun when you're not the one throwing it?" he teased.
Turning to inspect the dance floor itself, he regarded the tiles dubiously, knowing better than to touch them. At least not yet. Still, they were close enough to the edge that he could feel the warmth radiating from underneath the tiles. "Heh...why do they have snow falling over a dance floor that melts everything?" he inquired aloud, always questioning things as usual. "I wonder if they think people enjoy being blinded by snowflakes while they dance."

![]() | ── | Kim couldn't help but wonder what things would have been like if Felix and Sophia had been there. They would have made things a lot more interesting and Sophia would have loved the idea of a winter summer. Distracted when someone spoke, using a sing-song vocal tone, Kim glanced over at the one approaching him. He was shorter than him by quite a few inches. But familiar. Ah, right. Jack Burnett. He was part of the Mischief Makers and Mystical Creatures clubs. Kim took a deep breath and let it out slowly as he tried to focus on the present time. The nearly fifteen year old tilted his head to the side at Jack's words. Christmas party? Oh, right, the BaiKim Bash. He'd almost forgotten about that one. "Right. You're also part of the Mystical Creatures and Mischief Makers clubs, right?" Kim said and let his eyes flicker over him for a few seconds. "Jack Burnett." It wasn't a question as Kim definitely remembered that was the name. Kim struggled to put a friendly expression on his face but it had been such a long time since he'd been able to do so that he didn't quite know how to manage it. "It's fine I guess." |
"There's some pretty candles up there." Kim remarked, his eyes going up towards the sky above them.
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
![]() | ── | Jack's words about the light snowfall from above made Kim's lips twitch a little. "Probably adds to the allure." He said dryly, for the first time showing some emotion other than the usual deadness. More people began to show up and soon the games began to get started, the announcer telling them to take their places. The moment Kim set foot on the dance floor, his feet started to move into a fast-paced dance that matched the song being played at the time. He continued to dance, along with all of the other people on his square and then the current song abruptly came to a halt and Kim was facing Jack again. "It seems as if we're fated to be together." The dark haired teen remarked and looked up at the candle hovering above their heads. "What should we do now? Take a rest?" Kim asked and reached up to scratch his head a little. That was when a snowflake got into his eye and he blinked, his vision clouding over for a brief moment. He raised a hand to wipe the wetness away but more fell into his eyes, causing a strand of hair to also get into his eyeball. Of course. |

Valentin Schnell arrived looking for someone in particular – a fellow Durmstrang student named Greta Fransson, who had asked him to come for a vaguely described evening of merriment. It would have been hard enough already to turn his darling little valkyrie down as it was, but especially in the wake of the Durmstrang slug battle of 2024, Val was keen to make up for his previous outrageous behavior towards her. Agreeing to come without question, Valentin had no idea that he was walking into a trap not unlike the previous year’s terrifying spin-the-bottle game. On arrival the keen-eyed seeker spotted his name on the registry and accepted that he’d been signed up for something. Spotting the square floor tiles from afar, Valentin then decided he’d been summoned to participate in another round of wizard’s chess. Although his previous experience with the game had ended in a far from jovial manner, Durmstrang’s champion was not one to turn down a challenge anyway.
Once stepping onto the main floor, a spell quickly carried Valentin’s fleet feet into the steps of a dance that he was not expecting. Although he let himself be swept up in the movement, he still wondered if there wouldn’t be duelling to simultaneously accompany the dancing. It sounded like a fun idea to him, anyway.
After many years of dance lessons, Valentin had become graceful enough at a variety of styles to not require being compelled by an enchantment. Thus, his movements had a suave and embellished pleasure to it that novice dancers likely lacked. When the music stopped, Valentin found no hostile intent with wands at the ready, but instead stood in front of a girl (Haven) whom he did not know. Scratching the back of his head, Val did not have anything in particular to say.
“Ah… Hello. What’s your name? Do you like quidditch?” The extremely light accent lining his silvery tone was now almost unnoticeable in English, but the Turk’s exotic features could have easily suggested that he hailed from a distant school. “My name is Valentin Schnell, from Durmstrang Institute. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
The politely smiling boy wore traditional Tatar folk dress in white, black, and red silks. Tight-fitting black leather pants and ruddy dark boots complimented the almost metallic shine of his luxurious garments, suggesting that the boy did not lack for material wealth. With his neck and upper body shrouded in a large white shawl that flowed readily with even the slightest passing breeze, the snow-white hair and pale skin of the 6’1” young man was strikingly bright even in the dim light. His violet-colored eyes made firm eye contact when he spoke, and he would bow slightly if the girl made any kind of greeting.
A drip of blood began to trickle from a gash on his forehead, but he quickly staunched it with a kerchief that he put into his back pocket. Despite his annoyance that the wound had re-opened on his hurried trip to the venue, Valentin showed nothing but genuine warmth on his face. If the girl took his hand or touched him in any way, however, she would notice that his skin was remarkably cold to the touch. Shifting his broom’s sling farther onto his back, Valentin’s eyes never left the girl’s despite the tickling sound of familiar voices in his ears.

Age: 15xxxxx As it is written, so it shall be𝕸𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖑𝖊𝖙𝖔𝖊 SpinxxxxxGellert has only one goal in attending summer camp in London instead of residing in Germany as he normally does, during the summer season. It was a decision motivated by first, that transcendental moment in January and second, a six month reflection upon the question the quidditch captain of Durmstrang had offered to him. There was a conclusion made not so long ago and since he believed that if fate meant for them to meet once more, they would indeed face each other again. Although he had not intended to join whatever event this summer camp deemed acceptable in this strange winter in summer, he had been signed up by Greta, and so with dignity he would join the event. Perhaps it truly was fate for the season in which he had experienced that transcendental moment and clarity was returned once more and somehow he was in snow and cold once more.
xxxxx As it is written so shall it be echoed in his mind again and again, just as it had after that fourth star bound event, although he did not know if he would see Len once more. He was here on the second of August, and there upon the snow he saw rectangular dance floors set out upon the snow. The floor resembled a chessboard, but he saw that dancing feet existed in the distance. He made his way towards the floors, to see what he had been signed up for. Far away from the actual location, Gellert saw a person he recognised, Tone Bakugo, on his broom, and he waved him over saying, “Hello, Tone.” Tone gets off from his broom and makes his way over. They make their way over to the floor and Gellert forgets everything around him, as his eye catches on Len, as he dances. He cannot help but speak, “Valentin, I see you again, in so long. I promised that if I see you once again, I would come with the certainty that I have chosen you for who you are, and as I have promised, I will come. I choose you Valentin Schnell as a person, as your partner in everything, forever, understanding all the circumstances that you shared with me.” He is overwhelmed with the memories of the past six months, the chance encounter with the albino in the winter of Durmstrang, the months he took to understand the consequences and understand what it meant for Valentin to be his One. There were no more doubts in June and now there was even more certainty. Gellert was seeing Len once again in a snow filled landscape under uncontrolled circumstances. They were star bound to meet again. He enters the dancing floor, in order to get closer to his Len, but his feet begin dancing to a beat of its own. He dances gracefully for he knows how to dance as a Pureblood but when the music stops he finds himself in front of Tone, and a candle starts to melt.Stamina: 10 Evasion: 10 Strength: 10 Wisdom: 10 ArcPower:10 Accuracy:10

"English | Japanese"
Ginyami planned a lot of things. He plotted and schemed and strategized. However, there were some things that he couldn't account for nor predict. Ending up being assigned to the same dance floor at the 'winter' ball as Valentin was one of them. Fortunately, Ginyami liked to think he had become especially good at improvising within the last year especially. Well, some called it improvising. Others called it bull-shitting. But he was confident in his skills just the same.
"Mr. Schnell!" The fox-eyed teenager called with a wide grin, his hand still clasped around his peer's as he stood at the edge of the dance floor. He didn't dare step onto it yet; not after seeing how well-coordinated the people upon its surface were being. There was definitely some enchantment at work, there. And he wasn't about to step on it before they understood what was going on, much less allow Sara to. "You really have a fondness for tight leather pants and loose, open shirts, don't you?"
Though still their age, the albino Tatar prince had grown definitively taller since Ginyami had last seen him. His penchant for trouble seemed to have as well if the blood from the injury on his forehead was anything to go off of. Really...why would they make someone so prone to getting hurt into a quidditch captain? It was beyond Ginyami, but he supposed Valentin won them games, so they must have been doing something right. That was hardly for him to question. It was what Valentin did wrong that pissed off the Japanese student. So much so that he all but forgot to think about the person whose hand he continued to hold.
Sara was dressed in muggle clothing while Ginyami had his usual, traditional Japanese pureblood garb. They both wore black, however, and thus both matched and mismatched simultaneously. While they had been dating for about half a month by then, neither of them had really said a word of it to anyone. Ginyami knew that Sara was still trying to get used to the idea and seemed fine with allowing his peer to take the relationship at his own pace. Well...at least until they had reached the site of their dancefloor for that evening. And the pureblood's eyes had found the familiar albino seeker.
Ginyami attempted to catch the ivory-skinned male's eye when an unfamiliar head of silver hair approached. Momentarily distracted by the newcomer, the black-haired young man followed his gaze to see him greet Hiro. Hmm...Hiro knew him? Interesting. He supposed Hiro knew a lot of people, but he hadn't been paying attention to who or just how many as of late. Just as Hiro hadn't paid much attention to him or much of anyone else that previous year, either.
Nevertheless, Hiro must have gotten close to the other fellow at some point for said fellow to have chosen to green Hiro first. Because he walked with the stranger to the edge of the dance floor, at first Ginyami thought Hiro had gotten himself a boyfriend - only to see the look on the silver-haired youth's face change upon seeing Valentin. Though he was not aware, Ginyami's face changed as well, and not for the better. A fraction of a second later, however, and his features reflected a countenance even friendlier than when he'd come across his name on the same list as Valentine's.
The fox-eyed student listened carefully to the young mans' words as he talked at the white-haired teen. What he heard made his eyes widen in shock. Was this a joke, or had he just heard that numbskull correctly? Because if he hadn't ben certain before, we sure as hell was certain that they were in the presence of a numbskull now. How absolutely ludicrous.
The black-haired schemer cleared his throat loudly. "Excuse me," he said, grinning at the new threat to his plans, "Did you just say you 'chose Valentin Schnell as a person and as his partner in everything forever'?" Ginyami asked, making no effort at all to disguise his utter derision of the numbskull's words. In fact, if anything, he was probably exaggerating it. "You do know that, if you're acknowledging Mr. Schnell as a person, the usual expectation would be to ask him whether he wants to have you as a partner in everything forever? Otherwise, what would make him any different than a pet that had no choice in the matter of belonging to you? Not to mention the fact that you said you 'choose him as his partner'...which would suggest that he's his own partner."
Ugh...even when he detested Valentin, Ginyami found himself somehow defending the soft-hearted daredevil. Perhaps it had something to do with that ridiculous power the quidditch seeker had once described to him, but he didn't bother mulling it over just then. He wasn't about to let that power overcome him now regardless of whatever had happened in the past. So long as he focused on the numbskull rather than the pale prince, he was certain he wouldn't fall prey to whatever wiles his peer worked on others. Not like he had, evidently, on this particularly brainless individual.
Suddenly, an idea struck him. He didn't only have the moron to distract him. Sara was there, too. Sara, who Ginyami was fairly certain hadn't properly met Valentin before. And who Valentin probably hadn't met, either. Not formally, anyway.
The smile on the black-clothed pureblood's face curled into something positively wicked as he lightly tugged Sara onto the dance floor. Once he'd seen Hiro's stupid acquaintance get swept onto the checkered tiles, he had a better idea of how they worked and felt more comfortable in stepping onto them. Immediately, however, his hand was ripped from Sara's grasp as he was carried away by his dancing feet to another area of the checkered floor. Uh oh. Would Sara be alright? He searched the quidditch beater's face for signs of anxiety and stress as the music continued to play from the enchanted instruments.
"Sara," Ginyami called to his relatively new boyfriend. They had been going out about a month by then, though it had been pretty easy-going since it was just summer camp. This was the closet thing to a date they had ever gone on as a couple. "Are you alright?"

![]() | x..-. | SUMMER CAMP '24, MISTLETOE SPIN At first, Tone had been looking forward to spending some time at summer camp this year. But after what had transpired on the first night inside his tent, he was feeling somewhat strange. Not because of what Yami had done to him but because of what he'd done to Sara. As a result of all this, Tone was aggravated, although couldn't really understand his feelings. By all rights, there was no reason for him to feel annoyed and angry at Yami. It should have been the opposite but it wasn't. | x..-. |
tone hiro bakugo, quidditch beater⠀⠀──────────────────────────For the first time, Tone slipped up and the usual fake smile on his face was gone. He alighted onto the cold snowy ground where the Mistletoe Spin was supposed to take place. Catching sight of someone waving at him and a voice calling out his nickname, Tone looked over to see a vaguely familiar face. One of Vi's friends from Durmstrang. Right. Letting a smile come to his lips, as it was expected from someone like him, Tone nodded at Gellert. "Good to see you again, G." The blond said but that was it for greetings because both of them got distracted by others. Gellert with Valentin and Tone with Yami, who had just arrived with Sara. For Merlin's sake, why like this?
Once more, Tone felt a surge of annoyance surge through him upon seeing the two together at the moment. The smile dropped off his face as he stared at them.
Tone didn't intend on moving towards them but before he knew it, the nearly fifteen year old found himself standing right before Yami. First Sara and now Valentin again? Why was he so fickle with his affections? Attempting to put a smile on his face again, Tone gazed at his friend. "Yami. Fancy seeing you here. You make some good points but really, you seem to be losing it lately. He spoke of promises but never said they were promises to himself or if they were promises he and Valentin made together. Why are you so interested in Valentin's affairs now that you've parted ways with him?" Tone asked.
Okay, Tone was being a little petty but it was almost as if he couldn't help himself right now. Usually he would have been the one to keep the peace, not make waves. Make everyone feel better. But for some reason, Yami showing interest in other people like this was making him not be able to be himself right now. This had never happened to him before and was quite a new experience. Realizing he'd forgotten to breathe, Tone did so now. Before things could get heated, the game began and upon stepping onto the tiles was whisked away into a fast-paced dance. One that eventually ended up with the teen facing Gellert Schroeder (@Tristan Theramin) once again.
"We meet again." Tone commented. The white flowing shawl around his neck and shoulders fluttered in the breeze upon coming to a halt before the other boy and Tone's fake smile was back again. A smile no one would guess was fake, except for perhaps Ginyami Midorimori (@Jack Burnett) who knew him the best. Tone looked up above them to see that there was no sprig of mistletoe above their heads. Only a candle. But said candle was about to drip some hot wax onto them. Tone reacted instinctively and reached out to try and push Gellert away from the area. "Watch out!" The blond exclaimed, not wanting the other to get hurt from the potential danger.

Before Valentin stepped onto the checkered floor to later interact with Haven, others were already interacting with him.
"Mr. Schnell!" came a familiar voice, and for a moment Valentin spun with bright hopeful eyes in recognition before his higher mind realized the formality that had come to be attached to Ginyami’s use of his name. A rankling disappointment overshadowed Val’s face but subsided into appreciation that the other called out to him at all, after all this time… Yet, it didn’t take long for the seeker to realize Ginyami was standing there holding another young man’s hand.
The residual glow dimmed from Val’s overall upbeat demeanor as he concluded that he had been quietly replaced with… whom? Ah, this was the boy he’d encouraged Charles to flirt with a couple of years ago. Sara was a quidditch player, so of course Val knew him. Durmstrang’s Frost Captain studied everyone associated with the game. Valentin’s hand raised to brush the side of his pale jaw, considering. Yes, he’d suggested Charles engage with him precisely because he’d seen potential in Sara even years ago. He was a decent player now, and something decidedly unnerving about Sara’s vibe only served to further entice an excitement, an anticipation, in Hell-Chaser Val. Well, if this was his replacement… then the next question was if he was actually making Ginyami happy in ways Valentin never could. A pity it hadn’t worked out for Charles, mused the seeker only half-sarcastically. Maybe then Charles would have found happiness, and things could have worked out with Yami before someone else stepped in and stole him away beyond my sight and reach. Well… Sara had better be worthy. Ginyami deserves the best, just like Greta, just like everyone I love. No one is allowed to wreck Yami’s heart – not if there’s anything I can do about it.
“Hello Sara. I look forward to watching your next match.” It was true, but Valentin would no longer be watching with only quidditch in mind.
Feeling Ginyami’s eyes on him, Valentin turned back to face the Japanese fox.
"You really have a fondness for tight leather pants and loose, open shirts, don't you?"
A wave of red clapped across Valentin’s face with hot blush. Valentin’s left hand rose to check the white shawl he thought had been sufficiently covering his plunging folk tunic, but indeed the cut was truly low and a sharp eye could easily spot the real situation beneath. It had all been an act of vengeance spurred on by Sergei’s caustic remarks about Valentin dressing like a “mud-licking jock without an ounce of couth” who would surely never “win a wife.” Over the years his butler’s comments had only become more brutal as Sergei came to realize what did and didn’t work when influencing Valentin’s behavior. It was in fact aggravation with Sergei’s commentaries that first made Valentin lash out following the arson at his estate, attending the Sato Yule Ball with enough buttons undone on his shirt to really stick it to Sergei’s insistence that Valentin look the part of a proper dignified pureblood. This year had its own emotional context, and as if cleaved from his inner burden, the long rift in Valentin’s shirt laid out his pain like an open secret.
“Ah…” breathed Valentin, feeling exposed on a level beyond the physical. Yet, as Val’s eyes considered Ginyami’s minimalist pitch black hakama without hiding even a drop of his admiration, the small curl of a gathering smile betrayed that such a look had always been Val’s favorite. “But Yamushka, why don’t you loosen up sometime and have a little fun?” Reaching to tug at one side of the V-crossed hem below Ginyami’s neck in a light jest, the tension in Valentin’s eyes eased. “You’d still be a knock-out without having to look so picture perfect all the time. Relax a little and you’ll see people can like what’s inside that perfectly manicured exterior… and maybe not just me this time.” Tipping his head in a nod towards Sara, Valentin’s smile was warm but thinly lined with sadness.
Shortly thereafter, another young man approached, and then another – Gellert, followed by Tone.
“Valentin, I see you again, in so long. I promised that if I see you once again, I would come with the certainty that I have chosen you for who you are, and as I have promised, I will come. I choose you Valentin Schnell as a person, as your partner in everything, forever, understanding all the circumstances that you shared with me.”
Valentin’s mouth opened with surprise. It had been half a year since he’d seen the boy he discovered screaming in a snowy mountain vale outside Durmstrang. After not having been approached in so long, Val came to the conclusion that he really had encountered a snow sprite that day – one who was later unable to pass through the wards of Durmstrang castle and meet him again. Well, these were not those hallowed protected grounds anymore. A force of nature bent on seduction could conceivably have followed him out here. The time that had passed and their absence of contact in Durmstrang only provided more evidence that this was not in fact the real Gellert, but a shapeshifter stealing the student’s identity in order to appeal to Valentin’s senses. It wouldn’t be the first time Val had been endangered by a face-stealer, either, as he still carried memories of Germany warning him how perilous it was that appearances could be deceiving.
“Gell…?” breathed Valentin, squinting as if it would reveal the secrets of this young man who had come to claim him. “It’s been so long…”
“Excuse me, did you just say you 'chose Valentin Schnell as a person and as his partner in everything forever'? ” Ginyami’s utter derision cut through without any attempt to mask it, bringing a fluttering of Valentin’s eyelashes as he interpreted this as a sign that maybe Ginyami had successfully found the way to live out his dream. Maybe he didn’t need Val after all, or was this simply the consideration that the dark-eyed boy had always shown him in the past?
“You do know that, if you're acknowledging Mr. Schnell as a person, the usual expectation would be to ask him whether he wants to have you as a partner in everything forever? Otherwise, what would make him any different than a pet that had no choice in the matter of belonging to you? Not to mention the fact that you said you 'choose him as his partner'...which would suggest that he's his own partner.” While Valentin was still considering Ginyami’s words, Tone raised his voice to address the issue in response.
"You make some good points but really, you seem to be losing it lately. He spoke of promises but never said they were promises to himself or if they were promises he and Valentin made together. Why are you so interested in Valentin's affairs now that you've parted ways with him?"
The seeker from Durmstrang blinked. He knew Tone knew Ginyami well, and if even he didn’t have an explanation for Ginyami’s interjection… No, I also know some things about our mutual friend. Ginyami has a strong sense of justice in his heart.
“Ginyami respects my freedom and he has the courage to stand up for self-determination,” Valentin said, looking at Tone with reassurance reverberating through his low voice. “He is caring and naturally has such virtue. I appreciate his protective spirit.” Smiling back at Ginyami, gratitude warmed Val’s amethyst chip eyes. Then, drawing a lengthy breath into his lungs, Valentin prepared to respond to the main issue at hand.Who am I to speak for Valentin? I am someone he can rely on. Someone who would not lie to him.
“Gellert, I…”
As the seeker crossed over the corner of the square-checkered floor in order to approach Gellert, his foot happened to land on the enchanted tile that would send him spinning away across the dance floor before he could finish.

Age: 15xxxxx As it is written, so it shall be𝕸𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖑𝖊𝖙𝖔𝖊 Spinxxxxx Before Gellert was swept away by the enchanted dance floor, he only had the chance to say one sentence, “Len, you showed me the importance of self-determination six months ago and I agree with you wholeheartedly. If my words suggested that I would not allow you to choose who and what you desires then I must ask for forgiveness” However, Gellert was swept away soon after that and he of course found himself under that melting candle of hot wash. In a strange thought, he wondered if every Hogwarts event had to lead to danger or kissing, but he soon had the thought wiped away from him as the blaring danger of the hot wax took priority. Why did Greta have to sign him up for this event anyway? It was fate to see Len again, but in his selfish mind, he wondered why it had to be one of these strange games the Hogwarts students came up with. What was the purpose of hot wax and why did summer camp have to be dangerous? There were so many other events that could occur with proper dancing and yet it was hot wax and enchanted dance floors. He did not know where this annoyance came from, he supposed it was the snow combined with heat. It was not proper winter like Durmstrang after all. He aggressively took out his wand and cast, “Glacius” hoping for the life of him that the hot wax would not hit Tone.Note
