Reunion of Friends (Pt. 1) PV Madison Bennett Finished

Madison was back!! She'd been away for for Easter break and it felt good to back at Hogwarts!! Being away wasn't bad, it was not getting to see her best friend Simon that was worse than Monday mornings. She smiled when she'd gotten the chocolates from Simon, he's so sweet Madi thought to herself when she received them.

Whilst Madi had been away, she thought about her relationship with Simon. The two of them had been pretty much inseparable since they first met on the Boat dock on the first day at Hogwarts when first year began, and all because of the conditioner Madi had used in her hair, which was from his sister Clara's company.

It was a bright and clear Sunday morning and Madi got dressed into a cute but comfy outfit to go and see Simon. Once she was dressed, her hair washed and straightened. Madi then made her way to the corridors on the second floor, where the study room and classrooms were, when she saw Simon. He stood leaning against the wall and Madi felt her heart skip with delight. She wanted to give him the biggest hug, having not seen him in what felt like ages!! She smiled as soon as she saw him and ran up to Simon, giving him a long and warm hug, accidently knocking him to the ground, but thankfully Simon didn't hurt himself, though Madi, being so excited to see her best friend, was slightly too excited to instantly realise. "Hehe Siii!!" Madi said as she felt his arms wrap around her. It felt so good to be back with her best friend, she'd missed him so much.

Madi didn't want to let go of her best friend, so she moved her head off his shoulder and looked at him with her sparkly blue eyes and giggled a little, smiling just as bright as her eyes sparkled. "I've missed you Si, how have you been after not having me around every day during the holidays? Torturous, terrifying, boring or the worst thing ever?" Madi said with a giggle before leaning her head back on his shoulder and squeezing him tightly, but not too tight.

"Hehe Siii!!"

She ran up to him and he wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her so tightly that he lifted her from the ground. She then wrapped her legs around him and he accidentally fell backwards, landing on the floor with her. Both of them burst out laughing. Her perfume entered his nose and he realized he had missed that scent terribly. When they stopped laughing, she looked up at him with a wide smile. She looked as healthy as ever.

"I've missed you Si, how have you been after not having me around every day during the holidays? Torturous, terrifying, boring or the worst thing ever?", she asked as they got up on their feet.

"Everything you mentioned, except terrifying, although I feel somewhat safer having an extra wand around. Especially a chestnut wand with a phoenix feather." He smiled and brushed off his thighs. "How are you? You look great. Well-rested, I mean, after the holidays."

One thing he had learned about Madison was that her outfit and hairstyle usually gave an idea about her mood and her anticipations for the day. Sometimes her hairstyle was more lazy and relaxed, hinting that she was in a good mood but probably wanted to take it easy and just hang out casually. Other days, she would be late because she had been putting so much thought into her hair and outfit that she had lost track of time. Those days, she usually suggested that they did a specific activity or went outside the castle for once. But with the short skirt she was wearing today, he figured she did not want to go outside. The March weather was still pretty cold although the sun was a bit warmer and the snow had began to melt.

"What do you wanna do, Madi? First day being back at Hogwarts!"

Madi giggled and blushed as she got to her feet after she landed on the floor with Simon. "It feels really good to be back, especially now that i'm back with you, rather than with my family. I love them but I don't need my mother correcting my posture every 10 minutes" Madi says, as that ever sweet smile becomes present on her face. She was happy that she had shorts attached to her skirt but the jumper kept her warm.

"Sorry I knocked you over though Si, I think i just got too excited" Madi says with a giggle as she fixes his hair a bit. She looks at him and smiles, her thinking look coming into view on her face "hmm i don't know Si, I hadn't really thought about it, I was too excited about finally seeing you that I didn't really think. I don't really want to go outside though, it seems like it's kinda chilly she says, standing in front of Simon with her head resting on his shirt. "We could find somewhere to sit and chat. I have to admit though, it did feel good to be back in lessons" Madi says with a giggle.

As she looked at the boy standing in front of her, she smiled and her brain started replaying all the memories they'd made in her mind. This was because she could see things or because she was gifted in anyway, it was just because the close bond she and Simon have together, all the memories and adventures they have had together were making her daydream.

Madi soon clicked back into reality when she heard Simon say the nickname he had for her. "What, sorry I was daydreaming a bit, what were we talking about?" Madi says with a giggle, brushing the back of her left leg with right foot, though she almost fell backwards before she felt a hand, which she knew very well, rebalance her. Once she was looking back into the eyes of her best friend, she giggled and smiled at him, feeling a sudden burst of energy within her body, making her go all giddy and cute, almost acting like a little baby badger, rolling around in dirt, except Madi wasn't rolling around in dirt, she was just happy to be reunited with her best friend.

"Sorry I knocked you over though, Si, I think I just got too excited."

"It's okay. And besides, it's not the first time", he said with a cheeky grin.

She gave him another hug and leaned towards his chest. "We could find somewhere to sit and chat, you can catch me up on what's been happening in the life of Simon Tilia since I haven't been there to stand witness."

Simon smiled. "Sounds good to me. I will update you, for sure, but don't get too excited. I believe there's not much to say, really. It has been quite boring. I met with some of my Muggle friends I've told you about, me and my dad was stargazing and... Hello?" Madison seemed to be elsewhere in her mind. "Aqi? Hello?"

"What, sorry I was daydreaming a bit. When I was younger and I'd been sick, my parents would catch me daydreaming or being a bit clumsy."

She giggled and used her right foot to brush her left leg which made her lose balance and tilt. Simon instantly caught her.

"Hey! Easy, girl", he said and chuckled. "You seem a bit unbalanced. Almost like when astronauts have landed on Earth after a long period of working in zero gravity. Although, you probably didn't go to space during your vacation, did you?" He laughed. "Anyway... I suppose you haven't done much spell-casting since you came back. Should we perhaps try out that new spell we learned in Astronomy Class? If you have your wand with you, that is. I think I remember how it's done."

Madi blushed and nodded. She took hold of Simon's hand to help herself balance, and walked with him until they found a bench for them to sit down on in the corridor. Once she was seated, Madison smiled at Simon and felt her sense of gravity start to get better.

She searched for her wand and found it tucked into the shorts under her skirt. "Can you show me how to do the spell again? And Ori, go slow with me, my brain is feeling quite full after lessons" Madi says with a giggle, looking at him with her blue eyes. "Hehe it would be you're right, I still remember that day. You were so nervous that we'd get into trouble, thank you for trusting me though" Madi says with a cute look and smile on her face.

Even these little moments between herself and Simon made her feel so happy. She knew he would always be there for her, no matter what. Madi felt so lucky to have an amazing boy like Simon as one of her best friends, and as she watched Simon teach her the spell, she smiled at him and felt her cheeks go pink again. "Um Ori, can you do the wand movement with me please?" Madi says as she looks at Simon. She feels herself relax when he's close to her and smiles when she nails the spell, getting up and doing a little happy dance, however she proceeds to fall on her butt on the floor. She sits there for a bit and then giggles "Whoopsy, good thing I didn't go into dance, I have two left feet today" Madi says with a giggle, still sitting on the floor because she is afraid to get up in case she falls again. "Si, can you help me up please? Madi asks him with a smile.

"I promise. We'll take it slowly", he said. "The incantation was 'Nix facitur', right? I remember we were suppose to move our wands in a swirl and end with a long-flourished tail. Something like this... "Nix facitur!"

It started snowing around them with the snow flakes glimmering in the sun rays that entered the corridor. Simon was both proud and relieved that he was able to do it on his first attempt. It was not like Transfiguration where he had to do it over and over before he succeeded.

"Um Ori, can you do the wand movement with me please? My hands are a little unsteady still from having been sick."

"Of course. We'll do it together", he said and placed himself behind Madison. He held her hand and did the movement with her. "See? It's not so hard. Now you do it. Just say 'Nix facitur'."

When Madison cast the spell she succeeded on her first attempt. More snow was conjured around them and she was so happy that she did a little dance (that was before she tripped, fell backwards and landed on her butt).

"Woah! Hello there!", he said and chuckled: "Are you sure you didn't go to space on your vacay? Because you're being clumsier than usual!"

"Whoopsy, good thing I didn't go into dance, I have two left feet today", she said, giggling on the floor. "Si, can you help me up please?"

He reached out his hand for her and pulled her back up. "Here you go. Are you alright?"

Madi smiled as it started snowing, though it was making her a little chilly. She giggled and nodded before letting out her little giggle and brushing herself off after Simon helped her up.

Madi smiled and let out a little giggle. "Yeah, i'm ok Ori, I just lost my balance again but I'm ok" Madi says with a smile. She stays standing until she has her balance back and turns to look up at Simon "It's getting pretty cold out in the corridors, maybe we could play a game or just walk around the castle a bit, what do you think Si?" Madi asks with that ever present sweet smile. She drinks some water that she has in a flask and stays standing, feeling better as the cool March breeze travels through the corridors.

She closed her eyes and smiled, opening them to stare at the boy in front of her. She had quickly realised from first meeting Simon that he was a very tall boy, but something else about him made her feel safe and relaxed, like all the problems in the world would be ok as long as Simon was with her.

As Madi waited for Simon to answer, she stood there and drank some more water, along with eating a Fizzing Whizzbee that was in her pocket, offering one to Simon "Do you want one Si?" Madi asked, offering one to Simon. She'd missed not having Simon around whilst she was away but she was happy to be back because Simon is her best friend and best friends need each other.

"Since it's still kind of cold outside, maybe we could play a game or just walk around the castle a bit, what do you think, Si?" said Madi and took a sip of water from her flask.

"Sure, we could just walk around a bit, and I can update you on what's happened while you were away," he said and smiled.

Not that there was much to tell. Most of Simon's friends had been quite busy this week. There was always the answer 'Nah, sorry, I have to study tonight' or such. He had studied with Alyssea Brown in the library, though, and spent some time with Zach in the common room. But he could not blame his classmates for being busy since he himself had quite a lot to do to catch up.

Simon was not the procrastinator type. Usually, he had a well-organized to-do-list and would not stop until he was done with the bullet points on the list, unless he was completely drained of energy of course. But recently, he had found himself deviating from the list, stopping half-way through a task to answer an owl from Madison or postponing things to the next day to spend time with her.

"Do you want one, Si?", Madison asked and offered him a Fizzling Whizzbee.

"Sure, thanks," he said and started walking. "Oh, by the way, did you hear about the mischief in the Grand Staircase before we went on Easter break? Apparently someone let out a bunch of Cornish Pixies. It was quite a mess, really, from what I've heard. Rumor has it that pixies has now been seen elsewhere in the castle. Maybe they weren't able to catch them all." He shrugged his shoulders. "Anyway, how have you been?"

Madison smiled and walked with Simon for a bit around the corridors. "I did actually hear about the Cornish Pixies fiasco yes, a couple of older Hufflepuff girls were talking about it in the Common Room and I just hope we don't run into some today" Madi says with a giggle.

Madi smiled as she and Simon walked more and she felt the cool air that waved through the corridors. "Yeah my holiday was great, Dad and I even got to take our brooms and play some Quidditch together. I was able to do some homework so that I was all caught up and read some of the books I had taken with me. I can recite at least the first two chapters of Pride and Prejudice perfectly now" Madi says with a giggle.

"Oh, and i've been missing my best friend, it felt weird not waking up to see you during classes or at mealtimes. My brother even pranked me with every flavour beans and I ate an earwax one which looks the same as the Vanilla one but boy was I wrong" Madi says with a giggle as her hair starts gently swaying in the breeze.

She stops to look outside one of the corridor windows "Hogwarts really is beautiful, I've really missed you Si, it's almost felt wrong being on holiday without you, I missed having someone to talk to, joke with or go on walks with, though the chocolates really did help, thank you" Madi says with a smile. She was back with her best friend and it felt really good.
