Following a quick stroll down to the campgrounds with their belongings - or getting a portkey directly to Hogsmeade, students were escorted directly to the Campgrounds and registered again. It was, at this stage that they were given the rules for the month. These were pretty obvious but they were stated again by Professor Jensen, simply because she did not trust students to listen. She also wanted to be sure that the visiting students did not have the excuse of being 'unaware' of the rules. Where necessary, the accompanying adults from each of the schools would repeat the rules in their school's language for people who didn't have English as their first language.

Camp rules were very simple. Obey the curfew, follow usual school rules, don't wander off into the forest, don't be a giant jerk - you know, all of the usual things. Failure to comply would result in a detention, or worse, banned from attending future camps.

Eight log cabins provided lodging for campers, each one with a beast-bearing flag for which they were named. Three were the Avian cabins: Augurey, Occamy, and Phoenix. Across from these were the three Equine cabins: Thestral, Kelpie, and Unicorn. At either end were two cabins intended for adults only but for this year's festivities repurposed for student use: the Hippogriff and Dragon cabins. Those creatures occupying the enchanted flags mutely flexed in a constant show of "friendly" competition: beating wings, clacking beaks, stamping hooves, and soundlessly tossing their heads.

Every structure appeared deceptively humble in size on the outside, while the interiors were enlarged by extension charms, making them wide beyond means and quite comfortable. These were fully furnished with curtained bunks, personal chests, dressers, wood-burning stoves, and plush floor rugs. The layouts were strikingly similar to the dorm rooms back at the castle. Rather than having House themes, however, they featured nuances of the beast on their flag.

During registration, they also all received their cabin allocations. Students were then escorted to the cabins by an adult and given some time to put their bags down, secure themselves a bed and settle into the accommodation that they would be staying at for the month. The first event was ready too - students were able to attend the sugar fair once they had settled in.

The group of students that arrived here would be the members of the Kelpie Cabin.

Another strange dorm, the actual description of the dorm is ever-changing much like the demon it represents. The sitting area is always the same in terms of the placement of the furniture and what is where (such as a couch being to the left and the right of a space and an ottoman being in the center. Yet sometimes the couches would appear larger, or smaller, the cloth might be leather one day and cloth the next, the colors change wildly as well. Sometimes muted and tasteful hues, other times it looked as if a flock of parrots exploded in the room. However the basic format is always the same: Image Link.

The setting would change at midnight most nights and knowing this most students would leave the "furniture for the changing of seats" as many would call it. Those who decided to ride out the change often found themselves thrown off the unstable chair and thrown across the room. As for the bedrooms, thankfully those changed at noon each day. Built-in bunks in the walls would shift and change, and on occasion spew lazy (it is noon guys, get up) students from their confines. Again the appearance would frequently change but the format would appear roughly the same. [Image Link]

Among the first to arrive, this time without disaster, spending most of his time in the infirmary licking his wounds. He could not wait to leave Mahoutokoro for wat he could hope was the last time. He had spent the last year and a half in exile in Japan, enduring lessons in a language he hardly understood with people that he had nothing in common with beyond arcane potential.

He would make his way into the cabin, expecting to see someone else already inside. Likely Winnie Harper, but she was nowhere to be seen. He tried to mask his disappointment, not that there was even an audience for him to display his alleged indifference. She would likely be there soon. She was always at camp he reasoned. It was one of the few opportunities he had to see her and while he was loathe to admit it, he had enjoyed their dalliance to date. The rocky parts and all, even if it was based on a deck of lies.

He would sit in one of the sofas, putting his feet up on the table only to realize that there was (probably) a list of residents someplace. As confident as he was, he preferred certainty. He would eventually find it (probably) and he would scour the list. He would find his own but as his index finger ran down the list of unfamiliar names, he would not see a Winner Harper among the residents. His gut dropped. This had to be a mistake.

He slammed the slip of paper onto the coffee table with an open hand. He was being a petulant child about it. "Hello?" He called out in the thus far empty house as if there was someone hiding like what someone might do for a surprise birthday party. "Hey, there is a damn mistake on the roster!"

It was crazy to think that this was the last summer camp Bloom would ever be participating in. Her time in Hogwarts was coming to an end as she was approaching her last year. Bloom hoped that her last year in summer camp would be a happy experience. Last year, for example, all of her belongings were burnt to a crisp by Falentra Black. This year, not going to happen. Bloom was sure of it.

Bloom walked into the Kelpie cabin to notice that she was not alone. There was someone there that she had never met before. He wasn't even familiar. Who was he? As she brought her stuff in, she couldn't help but tilt her head in confusion at his reference of something being a mistake. He was looking intensely at what seemed like a list. Bloom left her belongings at the side of the door an walked over to the boy.

"Oh? Who's with us?" she asked aloud and quickly looked at the list alongside the boy. Bloom was scanning each name and not one of them was a Howard White. "What the actual hell... Howard was supposed to be with me," she said, feeling not as confident as she did when she walked into the door. Who were these other people? Well, she recognized Alexx, but that was it. She wasn't even with her year. To him it looks like a mistake, but Bloom knew better. Things can never be perfect at Hogwarts.

"This summer is going to suck," she said, walking to the couch and sulking.

Moving into the Kelpie Dorm
Tristan entered his assigned cabin, the Kelpie Cabin. He considered the strange magical nature of the furniture and colourfulness of the room. It was not in his taste but he could tolerate it if need be. He would not be taking part in many camp activities as he was studying for certain tests he was hoping to take soon and the Muggle summer classes he was enrolled in. He unpacked his trunk, and dressed in his signature green suit. He laid upon his assigned bed and took out a book to read, Don Quixote, in Spanish.” His parents were currently working internationally and he was not as close to his current tutor as the one he grew up with so he was here. It would hopefully be quiet enough for him to stay here during the day and study despite the great number of students. He was interested in the gnome race and had signed up for that but other than that the entire month he would likely be alone and doing his own unique thing, resting along the Great Lake, staying in the cabin, reading, and studying. There was no one here yet, so he kept on reading the book, practicing his Spanish and his comprehension skills.

The last time Roksana had been at Hogwarts, it was, in a sense, difficult. 99% of that was owed to this ridiculous language barrier that was driving her mad. As soon as she got back to Koldovstoretz, she vowed to learn as much English as she could before she went to Bacon Fleas- sorry- Hogwarts, for the summer. On the way there, Roksana had quickly found out that portkeys were not much better than floo powder, which she loathed.

Roksana now carried her trunk inside the kelpie cabin. She wasn't the only one there, there were two other students, so it looked like, who were much older than her. She had come in just in time to hear some words of frustration. Roksana stopped, then shrugged. She hardly knew anyone here, what did it matter? And even if she did, she wouldn't have cared because this was her chance to practice her English...and then some. She noticed that the two older students nearby weren't the only ones there, though...

There was also an older boy nearby. He was blonde, and wearing a green suit. And he was reading a book. Roksana sighed and wore a pained expression. Why were there so many people here? Okay, there really weren't, but she had expected one or even two at most. Roksana looked up and took in the unique style of the kelpie cabin. For a cabin, it looked quite cosy, to be honest. Roksana set her heavy trunk down, pushed her hair out of her eyes, and sat down.

Now what? Wait for more people to come? It was the only thing that Roksana was thinking of at that moment.

Haruka carried her trunk into the cabin she had been assigned to. She had arrived at Hogwarts moments ago, via portkey. It made her a little bit nauseous, as she hadn't done it before a lot, especially from long distances. She was sure the jetlag would kick in soon.
Hogwarts was a lot different from Mahoutokoro, and it was strange to see so many students from different schools. Her own cabin's roster seemed to include mostly Hogwarts and Koldovstoretz students, with her being the only one from Mahoutokoro. That was fine by her, though.
A few people had already begun to arrive, so she quietly went inside to find somewhere to put her heavy trunk.
Haruka found a room that had multiple bunk beds, and put her trunk on the floor, next to the bottom bunk that she would secure for herself. Going back into the main area, she sat on an armchair and surveyed the room. There were three older students in the room. The one in the green suit was reading, and the two Hogwarts students seemed to be expressing their disappointment in the cabin rosters. Haruka herself found it slightly off-putting that there were no students from her country. Besides the three older students, she saw a girl close to her age.
There wasn't much to do yet. Haruka decided to wait a while for more people to arrive, then perhaps go look around the campgrounds.

Rosella loved Quidditch, she really did, but it did not seem worth it to her to have to travel all the way to Hogwarts just for them to play. The Russian girl had no want to play professionally so she just never saw a point to it. Not only was the girl not a fan of travelling in the first place, but she was not the biggest fan of Hogwarts, so having to travel to Hogwarts just seemed to bring her mood down even more. The brunette also missed her dog and family, she had only gotten to spend a few weeks with her baby sister during spring break but had already fallen in love with her and wanted to spend more time with her. Once she was done here, she was going to go straight home and spend as much time with Galina as possible because even though the girl was barely six months old, she did not want her baby sister to forget about her.

With a sigh, Rosella spotted the cabin she would be calling home for the time being and slowly made her way in, shoulder bag tucked tightly against her side. The Russian girl had hoped she would be the first on into the cabin, giving her the opportunity to hide away and draw, but it did not seem like that was going to be an option at this point. Maybe she would be able to do that after some quick small talk and introductions.

Luckily, the older girl spotted another Koldovstoretz student already in the cabin, she was pretty sure her name was Roksana. "How are you Roksana?" Rosella questioned the younger girl gently as she dropped her small bag of art supplies next to a nearby chair, hoping to be able to get some drawing done at some point. If she was lucky, there would not be any other students in this cabin but Rosella knew that luck was almost never on her side. "Have you been enjoying yourself so far?" She quickly brought her attention back to the younger girl in hopes to at least have a nice conversation before having to introduce herself to other people.

Roksana jumped when she heard a voice behind her. She honestly had not been expecting anybody to come to talk to her, but she should have expected it, a foreign student from a foreign land sitting on the floor, somebody might've asked her eventually. And now she had to answer them in English, sigh....but Roksana noticed that the voice wasn't speaking in English - it was speaking in Russian!

Roksana turned around to see a girl- not her age, of course -talking to her. She had long brown hair and icy blue eyes, and Roksana knew she was from Koldovstoretz. She hadn't bothered to think that many people from Koldovstoretz would come. What was the girl's name...Rosara? Rozalia? No, Rosella, wasn't it? Roksana already felt much more relaxed. "Oh, hello Rosella," Roksana replied in Russian, sounding tired.

"Enjoying myself?" Roksana shrugged. "Not that I'm not, but that portkey certainly wasn't fun. At all..." Roksana wondered if it was an acquired feeling. She hoped not. "Last time I was at Hogwarts, it was a...different experience, but I think this time will be better. There will certainly be a lot of activities, I'm sure, and I think we'll be doing sports too. How about you? Are you enjoying yourself?"

That was the most that Roksana had spoken all day. Well, that was certainly a good way to get her mixed feelings out of the way. And, she couldn't wait to do broom racing too!

Rather than staying the summer with her muggle family, she had chosen to go to the Hogwarts summer camp. She would still have to go home at the end of the summer, but at least she wouldn’t have to be there the entire time.

Her decision to stay was met with much indifference, which wasn’t surprising. She hardly received a response from them when she owled them. Oh well, it hardly bothered her.

When the time came, she packed up all her things into a large trunk and a small bag, and they were transferred to her cabin. She wasn’t first nor last, but few of the current inhabitants looked happy. She supposed they had been hoping to be bunked with a friend, or even a foe, and hadn’t been.

She chose not to announce her arrival, knowing it wouldn’t end well. Although, seeing who was there (mostly older years), maybe they didn’t know about the first year drama. She only recognized one face, another slytherin who had set up a gobstones club.

Once she had entered, she went over to a little list that said who was within the cabin. She was largely disappointed to see that the only person she knew was the older slytherin boy. She made her way towards him, and hoped her intrusion wouldn’t annoy him.

"Real lively bunch we’ve got, hey?" She said, scanning the room. Two were skulking on the couch about the cabin arrangements, and the other two were having a small conversation. Okay, so maybe it was a small exaggeration,
but still. "Nice suit," She complimented.

"Oh? Who's with us?" A stranger would inquire.

"Not a damned clue," he did not know who any of these people were. She would glance around his shoulder, unless she was tall enough to look over his shoulder considering he stood at six foot two, with the physique of match from a book of matches. Whoever she was, she would find similar offense.

"What the actual hell... Howard was supposed to be with me," whoever Howard was. Sounded like the name for a pet duck.

"This summer is going to suck," Bloom proclaimed, walking to the couch and sulking.

Another boy, Tristan would enter the cabin,. He did not recognize the mop of blonde hair or the boy it was attached to, but he seemed content to keep to himself with his book. Nerd.

Others would filter in shortly thereafter. Younger than him by a significant margin, Roksana, Rosella and Ava. All girls except the one also. He would let out a sigh. He did not know any of them and most of them were either significantly younger or for the most part uninteresting. And indeed, he was completely unaware of Ava's first year drama and whatever acclaim or distain she had earned from it. So he would follow the girl closest to his age (Bloom) and make his own fun for the season.

He would take a seat next to her on the couch. "Could be worse," he announced in a feigned sympathetic tone. "I'm sure he is thinking about you right now," he assured her. "Some time apart is probably good for your peace of mind considering how pretty you are, I am sure he never leaves you alone." He folded his hands behind his head. "Now it is me, with this mug that has to worry. I am always shooing the guys away from my girl." The point was of course not to assure the girl, but rather to cause her to fret and worry. To give him some form of idle entertainment over the summer.
