It was a normal Saturday at Hogwarts. Ara woke up, slept, got up again, slept, woke up and finally got ready at 7am. She always had a horrible sleep schedule, sleeping at 4am? Pft- easy peasy! Ara didn't feel like eating so she just went straight to the library to return some books. After she returned said books, the ravenette read in the library some more in her favourite corner.

Ara actually ran into her sister at the History section. °Good Morning Cathy! What are you doing?° she loudly whispered. °Nothing really, just getting books for homework° Catherine replied to her younger sister. Ara just nodded her head and continued to read for a few hours while wondering why her sister waited until Saturday to finish her homework. But in the end she just shrugged it off.

After those hours, it was already about 10am. Ara got a bit bored of being in the library for 3 hours, so she went out to the corridor to find something to do besides reading in a lonely corner as she does all Saturdays. At some point, she has already read almost half of the books at the library.

At the corridor, she didn't see a lot of people since most students sleep in during weekends to make up for their sleep during the weekdays or just because it was a weekend tomorrow. Ara looked around and saw a familiar face she hasn't seen in a while, "Hey! Thumbalina!" she called out to him. "Finally saw you here man. Hufflepuff? Nice." She said.

Mark continued to walk while humming, he stopped walking when he heard a familiar voice. He turned around and saw Ara. Mark actually forgot that his nickname was thumbalina, since no one else calls him that.

"Hi, Ara. How's it like being a Slytherin?" Mark says.

Yes, the young boy does know that Ara is in Slytherin, since he has seen her around the halls before, but didn't know if she also had seen him or not.

The last time Ara and Mark had bumped into each other was when they first met. That was in Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. Mark had accidently bumped into Ara which caused her ice cream to fall. Mark feeling very guilty and sorry, bought her a new one and himself one as well.

It was pretty much a sort interaction the two had, but now that Mark was facing her again, he wondered what they'd be talking about this time, since their inside of Hogwarts now and in an empty corridor.

"Hmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe we can become friends this time.When we first met, we were pretty much enemies." He thought hopefully and simply.

Not all of Mark's thoughts are in English. His thoughts are sometimes in either Korean, Japanese, or English. But mostly in English. The young Hufflepuff has no idea why his thoughts are like that, but they just are.

"Its been fine being a Slytherin I guess" Ara says, "I have a hunch that you're thinking if we can be friends when our first meeting we were pretty much enemies. My answer to that, if you're thinking about it is: We're nuetral right now..." the girl noticed that he didn't really grow a lot, "But that can't stop me from calling you Thumbalina" The ravenette teased.

'•Weird•, I'm more talkative and open to people I met before Hogwarts. °Especially those whom I didn't meet in one of those dinners.°' Ara thought.

Being able to speak more than 3 languages, her thoughts are also thought in more than 1 language. She can speak in English, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean,Filipino and is currently learning French, but she talks and thinks is English, Japanese, and Korean the most. So her thoughts are really hard to understand if you are not that fluent. Ara has another hunch, Mark is maybe also multilingual like her.

The girl was deep in her thoughts, which was normal for her. She zones out randomly and enjoys her lone mind. Ara can focus quite well but if she doesn't do anything for a few minutes, just spoke a lot, is tired, or just exerted a lot of energy on one thing, she gets engulfed in her thoughts. "°Why are we alive? What was that character from the manga again? I feel like I'm forgetting something...°" she continued to mumble her thoughts.

"Interesting. Wow, I actually was thinking about that. Neutral, huh? Well, I guess that's better than how we were when we first meet." Mark says.

The young wizard is now wondering if Ara has the ability to read minds, but thinking back to when they had first met, Mark had realized that Ara had probably read him like how she did back then.

He really has nothing against people reading him, but wondered how Ara was always able to. The boy decided to not ask, since he didn't feel like asking or knowing the answer at all. He was just wondering, not wanting to know the actual answer.

The young hufflepuff was distracted from his thoughts when he heard Ara mumbling off again, but this time, he noticed that she wasn't only mumbling off in English, but also Japanese.

"Woah. You speak Japanese too?" Mark asks.

He was well aware that the had just asked that in Japanese, but if you speak more than one language, you might fix up the one you want to talk in with another one, like how Mark just did. He wanted to ask her in English, but it came out in Japanese.

Ara stopped mumbling as soon as Mark started speaking. She was surprised that she was correct, she always was but its still surprising. "°Yes, I speak Japanese. I also speak a 3 other languages as well besides Japanese and English.°" The girl replied, she was pretty happy to find another person who speaks Japanese but her face still looked like she was about to tease him any second.

She can in a way 'read' a person's thoughts or next action because of many factors, eyes, body language, how they speak, and more. But she doesn't really know how can she know in such accuracy. She could pass as one of those spy people in books easily. Ara was getting bored now and thought of a question to keep the conversation going. Which was unlikely for her if she's with people she doesn't known or is tired.

"°Hey Mark? What other languages do you speak?°" she asked out of curiosity. As Ara waited for the response, she leaned on the wall a bit since she was a bit tired of standing. She quickly wondered about life, the universe, and other random things. She could snap out as soon as he answers anyways.

"Cool! I can also speak Korean, as well as Japanese and English." Mark says.

He was very happy that he wasn't the only one who knows more than one language, but Mark only knows three. He was trying to learn another one, but had no idea which one he should learn.

Mark isn't good at reading people at all, so when people can easily read him, he gets worried sometimes, but often never shows it. He doesn't like showing his emotions, especially if he's worried. But sometimes people can tell if he's worried if even if doesn't show it.

The young wizard figured that those people were reading him, at first he thought it was weird, until he realized that he was pretty easy to read, but glad that a lot of people can't read him. He knew that he already answered Ara's questions about which languages he can speak, so he decided to ask in Korean this time,

"Hey, Ara, can you also speak Korean?" He than added in Japanese, "What other languages can you speak?"

Now the young Hufflepuff was wondering if Ara did understand him when he asked her if she speaks in Korean, while talking in Korean. He was a little worried that she didn't, but would know since he also asked a question in Japanese.

"•Yea I speak Korean.•" Ara replied "•I can also speak Mandarin, Filipino, currently learning French, and a bit of German•" The girl was surprised that he knew more than 2 languages. Ara is actually Japanese, English, and Korean. But she chose to learn Mandarin because its one of the most spoken languages in the world and she wants to learn French because of her older sister who is currently learning German and she learned a bit of German thanks to her sister as well.

"°I'm more used to using Japanese and English though°" Ara clarifies, she comes from a Japanese family, born in Japan, and has a home in there as well. The Slytherin girl plans to learn German and Italian after French since its interesting to learn another language. Ara 'read' Mark and think he might be thinking he is hard to read but its quite the opposite. "°Don't worry Thumbalina, you are very easy to read. You're eyes tell everything. Eyes are the windows to the soul you might've heard. Also not just the eyes can make me read you°" She says. Ara doesn't really know how she can read people, it's just a skill she always had. Even as a child with a developing mind, she would read the people around her.

At this point, Ara has considered Mark as her friend now.

"Woah, that's so cool!" Mark says amazed.

He had no idea Ara could speak 5 languages and is learning 2. He knew she'd be able to speak 7 languages soon. He didn't even want to know how she would be able to remember all of them. Mark was good with the three languages he's speaking now, but sometimes his words don't always come out in the language he wants them too.

"Cool. For me, it's mostly English, but my family tends to also speak Korean and Japanese." Mark says.

His family is split, his born in Preston, but has family on both his parents side in both Japan and Korea, which is pretty much why he had to learn Korean and Japanese as well. But, the boy didn't mind at all. In fact he really likes Korean and Japanese.

What Ara said next made Mark very curious. He had no idea that Ara was pretty much reading him by looking into his eyes. But, what Mark really wanted to know, was if Ara knows any of his secrets. He has a feeling Ara might be able to figure them out, but hopes that she won't.

"Oh, I see. Is it a type of skill you have?" Mark asks

"°I don't really know. I guess I just always knew how to°" Ara replied. "°You could read people by their eyes, pulse, breathing, body language, context clues, and more. I guess I'm just perceptive then.°" The girl look to the side. '°Thumbalina must be trying to hide his feelings a bit more from now but he doesn't have to worry for I only have hunches when I do, I don't have them by will'° she thought while relaxing her face to her calm and quiet look.

Ara is a master at hiding her emotions. She could hide them effectively and only few people know when and what she is truly hiding. She's very perceptive and aware of her surroundings and can easily pin down someone. The ravenette's brother already thinks she can pass as a spy anytime. Ara turned her head to the side and started to zone out and mumble. She stopped quickly though. The girl was now getting a bit frustrated with zoning out now. She is getting better at snapping out of it at least.

Ara is an interesting person to say the least. She zones out a lot thanks to her brain thinking so much that her random thoughts enter randomly as well. The girl wants to have a rather idle life but how she was raised and how her mind works, that is never going to truly happen.
