ReducioIt was a chilly day of October, the wind blew cold and the rain stormed on outside, crashing like a raging spirit. Inside of Hogwarts, a mysterious potion brew inside the stomach's of all the students there were to see. Why? You may ask, because deep in the castle walls sat a piano playing it's melody, there in it's stool sat a boy with sharp scissor hands, long dark hair, and skin as white as bone. The song drifted across the ballroom playing succeeding in both being melancholy and haunting. Thunder crashed from outside the window, floating jack-o-lanterns being the only source of light. There was a long table that sat, not vacant, but with spooky treats to the students delight. There were apples covered with green caramel, a cauldron filled with gummy eyes and delicious purple punch, a bowl full of an assortment of candy. From the ceilings hung sticky cobwebs with creepy spiders, and vampire bats waiting to suck your blood clean. Clowns and skeletons sat and stood around ready to scare the unwary students. There were only two rules in this madness... Wear a costume to ward off evil spirits and have fun! Thus begun the Spooky Party!

Keith had heard about a Halloween party being held in the ball room. He had overheard some people talking about it in the great hall a couple of days ago. He decided he wanted to go, maybe some of his friends would be there. He needed to decide on what to wear. He could wear his ball outfit. Or his Beetle-juice costume? He hadn't remembered his peter pan one, until the night before.
"Shoot, where is that one? That would be perfect!" He thought to himself looking threw his trunk. He finally found it and quickly had to pat it down, cause there was things all over it, lint and stuff.
The next day when it was time, Keith put it on, and went to look in a mirror. "It kinda looks like a dress, whatever. I know it's a costume! I'm so excited! Let's go down to the party!"
Keith made his way down to the ballroom, which wasn't that far, only a floor below. He walked down the hallway, and looked in some of the rooms. Keith had yet memorize the place, and he hadn't yet made a trip to the ballroom yet, so he had no idea which door it was behind.
Keith finally made it to the ballroom and peeked inside. The first thing he heard was a melody, coming from a piano. He walked in, closing the door behind him. He saw a boy, looking like someone he had seen in a movie, "What was his name? Come on.... You know it...." "Oh! Edward Scissorhands!" Keith said, then walked up to the boy, "Hey! I'm Keith. I had heard of a Halloween party, so yes, I was going! I dashed to the common and put on a Gandalf costume(I brought the beard, but I didn't put it on). I had a staff and everything. I raced down the corridors and stairs until I reached the fourth floor. I wondered if anyone I knew was going to be there? If so, they might not recognize me because I had dyed my usually red hair white for this specific purpose. I didn't know where the party was, but I think that the ballroom might be a nice place for certain events like this. I opened every door on the fourth floor until at last, I just HAPPENED to stumble upon a Halloween party. "Well, not all those who wander are lost," I said to myself, smiling a little. In the ballroom, there were only two people. There was a boy in a Peter Pan costume, and...Edward Scissorhands? Oh, wait, that was Captain Edwards, the boy from the common room! Before I went to greet them, I noted the decorations.

An owl swooped through the window into her dorm. As she smiled, it landed on her bed. Realizing it was her costumes for her and Kim for the Halloween party later that day, Bailey grinned again as she untied it.
βYes! Just in time!!β
Sending the owl away, Bailey scribbled a quick note to Kim and sent Twinkle to deliver it. She knew Kim and cats didnβt get along, which is why she addressed it to Keith, with instructions to give it to Kim.
The note read:Sending that off, half an hour later twinkle came back, after delivering the letter and the package with the costume.Dear Kim,
My mum sent me both Sally and Jackβs costumes, for the Halloween party that is later. (Those are muggle movie character) Soβ¦ I fingered since I was going and had a spare costume, i would rope you into coming as well! Soβ¦ just meet me outside of your common room at half past five!
See you there, if youβre not outside Iβm sending twinkle inside to get you- and I know you and cats donβt get along.

Giving twinkle a treat for a job well done, Bailey pulled on Sallyβs costume.
Painting her face blue, Bailey put on some fake lashes, did her lips with some red lipstick that was not her usual memo, and painted some stitches.
Pulling on the red wig her mum included, Bailey looked in the mirror.
Laughing, Bailey said to herself, βThereβs no way Kim is going to recognize me.β
Pulling on her boots, Bailey cleaned up a bit before heading to get Kim.

15 minutes later Bailey arrived at the Griffindor common room entrance.
Waiting for Kim, when he eventually arrived, she smiled, grabbed his arm and said βOk- you look great! Ready to head down to the party?!β
After a few minutes he came back, costume and all, and Bailey grabbed his hand.
Pulling Kim behind her she said βThereβs no getting out of this now!β with a cackle.
Arriving at the ballroom, Bailey entered with Kim right behind her.
βI hope weβre not too late.β Bailey said, with a smile at Edward Sissorhands, also known as her friend Edward that she met outside.
Seeing Keith, Bailey waived to him.
Turning to Kim, she asked βSoβ¦ do you recon we should start with the food?β

Lily got ready to go to the halloween party someone named Edward Edwards was holding. She was excited to go because a couple of her friends were going. Bailey, who was dressing up as Sally, Kim, who was dressing up as Jack, as well a Keith and Kayla.She hadn't met either unfortunately She didn't remember what they were going as. Lily also heard Colin was going which made her almost not want to go. It had been a few weeks since the incident and he still hasn't spoke to her. Anyway, this was going to be a fun party and she wasn't going to let him get her down or ruin the party at all.
She got ready doing her hair and makeup. She had her hair straightened and had gothic makeup on to make her vampire look cool! Once she finished putting on her dress she went to the Ballroom where it was being held. She stepped in and saw Bailey. "Hi, Bailey! I like your costume." Lily smiled and looked around. Colin hadn't arrived yet- a little thankful for that-. Keith was wearing Peter Pan, which was cool. She loved that movie a lot. The book was better though.

Edward sat on the spiderweb covered stool, as he played the old, historic piano with his silver-scissor-hands, that glinted like blades in the moonlight that drifted creepily across the room. It was only a few minutes before the first student arrived, the boy wore a green almost dress-like shirt... It only took a second for Edward to recognize it was Peter pan. It was a good costume! "Oh! Edward Scissorhands!" Peter pan said, then walked up to Edward, "Hey! I'm Keith. This is the Spooky Party right? I really like the decorations!"
"Nice to meet you Keith, I'm Edward, I like your costume! Yes, this is the Spooky party, and thank you!" If had watched the movie you would know that Edward did his voice perfectly. Not only did he look exactly like him, he, though he didn't admit it, was a lot like him.
It was barely another minute before a small wizard appeared in the doorway.
"Hello! I'm Gandalf the Grey, though my real name's Aurora. The decorations are amazing, by the way. What will we do, Edward Scissorhands and 'The boy who never grew up?' "
Edward smiled largely revealing the small gap between his two large front teeth, strange yet charming. He had met Aurora in the common room, they had played pirates! He had been sad when she left, but understood, she needed to sleep after all! He was so happy she had come to his party. He was happy that everyone loved the decorations, granted that they weren't too magical.
"Thank you, it's nice to see you again Gandalf, Love your costume!" he smiled sweetly. He hadn't got the time to talk to her normally last time because he was Captain Edwards before.
Next arrived Sally and Jack from The Nightmare before Christmas, the costumes were amazing and quite a likeness. They looked cute, Edward had thought it himself as he continued to play the piano. The costume was so good it took a minute for him to recognize it was Bailey or Bai, the fellow lover of the outdoors! She was really nice! He looked at the bot who stood next to her, he was handsome, Edward wondered if this person was Kim or Colin as Bailey had mentioned before....
βI hope weβre not too late.β Bailey said, with a smile at Edward.
"No of course not! Just in time," He smiled at Bailey back.
She turned and waved at Keith before saying something to Kim. Next entered a vampire that Edward didn't recognize, she went over and started to talk to bailey, Edward was happy people were coming, The more the merrier. He smiled happily continuing to play his tune...
"We will wait for a couple more people before we start the games," he hoped they could be patient he knew that some more people were to be coming to the event....

€ββββββββββββββββββββββ| ββ | It was Wednesday. Classes had just gotten out for the day and Kim was looking forward to going back to the dorms to relax. He needed to feed Puffie too and knew the pink furball would be bouncing up and down impatiently waiting for his return. But on his way to the dorms, he ran into Keith, who gave him a letter, saying it was from Bailey Glade. He also gave him a package too. Curious, Kim thanked Keith and then continued on to the dorms. Puffie launched himself at him and landed on his chest, where he scurried up onto his shoulder and nuzzled him affectionately, releasing a series of squeaks. Unfolding the letter, Kim read it quickly and blinked. A costume? A halloween party? Someone else was doing the same thing as him this year? Well, at least this one wasn't on the same day that he'd been planning on holding his. Bailey's words and her 'invitation' to go to the party with her were misleading. They made him think he had a choice in the matter, when he really didn't. It seemed as if Bailey was going and she was taking him with her, regardless. A sigh escaped his lips as he resigned himself to meeting up with the girl. Who were Sally and Jack? Bailey'd said they were muggle characters? He hadn't heard of them before. But there was an outfit. Obviously it must have been Jack's. Kim unwrapped the bundle to reveal the outfit that was supposedly Jack's and let his eyes flicker over it. Black and white. Oo, not bad at all. He liked the colors. The only thing he didn't care for was the skull mask. But maybe he'd only need to wear it until they got to the party. He could take it off once they were inside, after all you couldn't eat with a mask like that on. Speaking of food. Kim decided to make some snacks, with permission from the house elves of course. Heading down to the kitchens, he whipped up a batch of pigs-in-a-blanket and decorated them with marshmallow eyes. Mummy-Pigs-in-a-Blanket, that's what he'd call them, with some tasty dipping sauce. Reducio Bailey had specifically waited until now to inform him of this party the two of them would be attending together. Kim suspected she'd waited until nearly the last minute so he wouldn't have time to come up with a plan to get out of this. She was quite the sly girl, he had to admit with a shake of his head. Once the snacks were done, he brought them back up to the dorms and set them down. Puffie squeaked and hopped onto his shoulder, not letting him think about leaving him behind and Kim smiled at him. Of course he'd take him to the party. Should he take his satchel? He probably didn't need it and if Bailey had invited Kim she would have told him if she thought cats might be there. She hadn't done so. Therefore, he shouldn't need to worry about cats being at the party. As a result, he might not need to bring his satchel like he usually did. If he needed to write anything down he had his usual self-inking quill and parchment paper he always brought with him at all times. And since it was a Halloween party, there should be enough refreshments and sweets there. Okay, he wouldn't bring his satchel this time. "Shall we go out, Puffie?" Kim took hold of the container he'd put the mummy-pigs-in-a-blanket inside, straightened his clothes and pulled his mask over his orange colored hair, completing the outfit. And then, headed for the common room door. Opening it, he saw Bailey standing outside waiting for him as she'd promised to. "Wow." Kim exclaimed upon seeing Bailey and her blue makeup with all the extra details. As Bailey reached over and grabbed his arm, dragging him off, Kim allowed her to do so. Puffie squeaked a greeting out to the girl, recognizing her as one of Kim's besties as they left. Soon after they reached their destination. Kim glanced around the room from behind the skull mask over his head and let his blue eyes flicker around. He didn't like the darkness. But no one knew this. Kim had done a very good job at pretending as if he wasn't scared of anything and so far he didn't think anyone knew how scared he was of being scared! Sticking close to Bailey's side, Kim nodded as she spoke of checking out the food there. He made his way over to the table and set the container of mummy-pigs-in-a-blanket down onto the table. Noticing Keith he raised a hand into the air and gave his usual trademark greeting to him. "Yo." But he didn't move from behind Bailey, still sticking close to her, almost like glue. He didn't know if anyone would recognize him as his entire head was covered. But people would probably guess it was him since he was always with Bailey nowadays. The spooky party was something that everyone was talking about, and Jannette was definitely not gonna miss it. For one, The Snek Squad is gonna be there, and two there was gonna be an appetizing dessert stand, and the Niffler definitely wasn't gonna miss out on that. So, in preparation, Jannette made sure to send her mother a letter to give her the traditional family Halloween costume. Sadly this was the worst mistake Jannette has ever made.
Her costume was of the Applebottom family that all first years have worn throughout generations, and Jannette wasn't an exception. Her costume was for starters well... an apple! While the rest of her family have worn a red apple, Jannette, due to being in Slytherin, is wearing a green apple costume, with a zipper in the back that she luckily had zipped up by a housemate. The arms of the costume are horrendous and make Jannette look like she has dinosaur arms, and her legs were restricted in a way to where she walked funny. To finish her costume, she wore a nice green leaf cap. 'Okay, maybe this is why my siblings don't celebrate Halloween much...'
Entering the Ballroom with a stumble, the girl would look at the beautiful decorations. For one there were Jack-o-Lanterns that illuminated the dark ballroom, spooky! There were messy cobwebs everywhere on the ceiling with giant spiders which she think she studied in her DADA class about. Finally, everyone else actually had a costume for the party with specific scary characters. Wait, was she supposed to wear something scary? Well I mean can be pretty scary, especially if you throw it at someone hard enough. Never the less, Jannette was early, and in typical Slytherin fashion if there was one rule should always learn is... never be early to a party.
While waiting at the Ballroom for her friends, Jannette waddled over to the snack area like a penguin. I mean, her friend are not here yet, what was she supposed to do? Wait for them? Hah! Looking at the wide variety of sweets, Jannette had her eyes set on her prize! The apples covered in green carmel! licking her lips, Jannette shifts her entire body, attempting to grab at the apple. "Ehhhh --" struggling the girl groans loudly, this can't be happening right now, of all places for this to happen, at the sweets table, seriously! "C'mon, realleh...!" She squawks, her tiny Niffler arms struggling away like a dinosaur as she continues trying to grab the apple treat. "Almos' t'ere... ehhh --" Her fingers would glide through the apple, before sighing, "yeah, no -- ye' won t'is toime miss apple... bu' oiiiimm gonnah eatchah!"1 She says in triumphant defeat. Yeah, she might have lost the battle, but she hasn't lost the war! Niffler - 0 | Apple Treat - 1. There would be a pause, as she'd shuffle herself to the cauldron of eye gummies, yummy! As if history was about to repeat itself the Niffler would attempt to grab some eye gummies from the cauldron. "Alrigh'... ehh -- c'mon! Oi, jus' wan' one o' yah..." Sadly, the brunette still hasn't learned from her past mistakes, you know what they say...

Oliver had heard about a Halloween party. He hadnβt heard much. He only heard students talking about their costumes. Oliver was a bit exited about it. The only thing he worried about was having a costume. He had lettered his parents to send him a costume. Anything that wasnβt weird. To his relief, they sent a costume of Jack Skellington. He wore it and it fit quite well mostly because since he was tall for the average first year he actually fit the character. A few weeks later he wore it again to get ready for the party. He walked into the party. He saw only a few people there. He must be early. He looked around. Everyone had such great costumes. He walked around when he noticed a person in front of his dressed as Jack! Their costume was more detailed than his. There was an awkward silence. βWow! Thats a nice costume you got there!β he said to the other Jack. He wondered if he had met him or her before. He couldnβt see him or her under their mask. βAnyways Iβm going to go and walk around, Im looking for someone.β he said. He walked around and admired the different costumes he saw. Some were really detailed and some were DIY. Which looked equally as good. He wondered if this costume was good enough. Surely it was. Right?

Violet heard about the Halloween party a few days before and she knew she wanted to join. She loved Halloween! Wearing costumes, eating sweets, pretending to be someone or something else and perhaps even some spooky stuff sound exciting to her! Well, as long as she did the scary stuff to others herself. She was thinking of what she would wear ever since she heard about the partyβs existence and ultimately she gave up overthinking and decided to come out as Chucky the killer doll, like the movie, bonus points for her already having ginger hair.
Now she was here in the anticipated spooky party, looking around to see the decorations, other peopleβs costumes and, of course, the place where all the snacks were. While slowly walking towards there she noticed a girl with a green apple costume. She didnβt even need to look at the girlβs face to recognize who she is. She guessed it was Jannette at first glance. Who else would go out with a green apple outfit for a Halloween party?
And she also looked like she was struggling..
She walked towards her. βHey Janette!ββ She waved to her. βNice outfit, it fits youβ She said and grabbed one of the apples covered with a green carmell. It looked absolutely delicious and red chucky wanted it so bad! She tasted it a bit and it was exactly what she hoped for. βThis is awesomeβ she muttered, mostly to herself. Remembering what she saw before, she immediately grabbed another of them apples and handed it towards Jannette βoh! I saw you struggling to have one..there you go!β
