A Picnic With Friends
Dove was bored, and already way too tired from classes. So she decided to treat herself, and some friends! Rereading her invitation, she allowed Maple to fly onto her shoulder and began walking downstairs, holding a woven basket draped in a pale yellow wool blanket that she had crocheted a few weeks ago as a pastime.@Sirin Liu, @EmmaLee LeDames,@Nicole Richards@Colin McCoire
She picked a lovely area that was surrounded by trees. Just the right amount of shading and sunlight, perfect enough so that the food wouldn't get too hot or cold, and that it wasn't too light or dark! As Dove had told her friends... she was bringing the desserts!
She laid out the blanket and opened the basket, smelling the amazing treats she had baked. She had loved learning how to make all the food here, and she loved baking treats that non-magic folk had! She wondered if any of the snacks she had made weren't, you know, real here. It'd be cool to introduce them to her friends! She grinned, wanting to take out all the food and eat it right away. But, she had to wait for her friends, unfortunately. But it'd be worth it... They were bringing the rest of the food!!

A Picnic With Friends
Sirin was excited--more than usual. People stared at her awkwardly, perhaps wondering why she was constantly smiling, or why she was holding large, mysterious basket. Sirin and a couple others had organized a picnic. It was a group gathering, and there was nothing Sirin enjoyed more. They had everything planned out---Dove would bring the desserts, and Sirin would bring the main meal. She wasn't quite sure what everyone else would bring. Before the gathering, Sirin had made sure that her lovely dark purple hair was braided well, and her sweater wasn't wrinkled. She'd swiped a couple items from the kitchens--without being noticed, thankfully. AS for the contents of the basket--Sirin had packed some chicken drumsticks, sandwiches, and egg rolls (her treat). As Sirin approached the club area, she scanned the place for Dove. Sirin found an open plane with surrounding trees, and spotted a girl setting down a basket. That must be Dove! As she came nearer, a sweet smell wafted in the air. Mmm. Dessert. Sirin made it to the picnic area and approached Dove with a smile.
"hey Dove! I see you've brought the desserts. They smell sooo good. I hoep you're ready to have a blast!!"
Setting down her basket, Sirin took a seat next to Dove.

A Picnic With Friends
A girl with lavender-colored hair came up to her and set down her own basket, then sat next to Dove.Wanted to clarify if Dove says "Love, darling, sweetie" etc. she means it in a PURELY platonic way.
"Hey Dove! I see you've brought the desserts. They smell sooo good. I hope you're ready to have a blast!"
Dove smiled. "Sirin, love!" She moved over to hug her recent friend. "How are you?" She smiled, beginning to take the food out of Sirin's basket and place it out on the plates. "Yours smells as good as mine! Are those chicken drumsticks? Oohhh!" Dove grinned, then began to take more things out of the basket. Streamers, cute little mini windmills, and little decorations! She began to hum as she set everything up.
"Maple, can you get those?" She interrupted the song she was humming to ask her owl to lift some streamers up and drape them around the trees, then stepped back to admire it. "How's that, darling?" She asked, smiling at Sirin.
She sat back down, continuing to set things up. "So, on the way here, did you see Colin, EmmaLee, or Nicole?" She asked, looking up for only a split second to ask her question.

A Picnic With Friends
Attire: Usual school day attire: robes, shirt (buttons mismatched), tie (undone), kilt, neck ring, no shoes.Reducio
An owl swooped down and dropped a curious envelope on Colin's desk as he was reading. Classes were about done for the day and he wondered what the message could possibly be! He didn't have to wait too long to find out though as class was now being dismissed. As other students were packing up to leave the room, Colin opened the letter. It was just a short message inviting him to a picnic. Someone named Dove signed it. He wondered if the owl had delivered it to him by mistake. Who was Dove anyway? It did have his name on the front though --- Oh wait! Dove! Wasn't she ---? Yeah, the girl who had made such a mess in the library!
"Oh crap! It's now!" He leapt out of his seat, shoved everything into his satchel, slung that over his left shoulder and dashed out of the classroom. He had no idea what to bring, so decided that perhaps he couldn't go too far wrong bringing a little bit of everything! With that thought in mind, he ran down to the kitchens and asked one of the Elves there if he couldn't bring a basket of goodies for a picnic.
He raised his eyebrow --- it seemed that he wasn't alone in coming to the kitchens looking for picnic food --- but that the previous miscreant hadn't bothered asking for it! "Oops!" he said. "Sorry about that lads!" Colin thanked the Elves and strapped the basket over his right shoulder and headed off to the picnic!
"Yaaaaaaaaa!!" he called out when he caught sight of Dove and some other girl already there. His bare feet thumped along the path down towards the trees where the picnic was being prepared. "Oi! More food's here! Hi Dove! Who are you, lassie?" he asked looking towards Dove's companion. "I'm Colin! I didn't know what to bring, so I asked for a bit of everything. There's fruit, there's cheese, there's bread and looks like sausage of some kind! Also bottles of juice and water! Oh, and it looks like napkins and plates too!"

When Nicole had received an invitation to the picnic, she had been surprised. She didn't really know the people invited, but she was pleased nonetheless. It sounded exciting, and she didn't have anything else to do, anyways. But...she would need food. She didn't know if the house elves would let her take any--but should she really steal it? What if she was caught?
As she headed to the kitchens, she decided to ask first and, if that didn't work out, she would steal it. It wasn't exactly the best plan, but it was the only one she had. But what to bring? She knew the main course and desserts were covered, but she didn't know what else had been brought. Better go with drinks, just to be safe A moment later, exiting the kitchens, she had a basket filled with bottles butter beer, pumpkin juice, water, and lemonade.
"Thank you!" she called to the houselves as she exited. Thankfully, they had been more than happy to help--and Nicole was relived. She hadn't wanted to steal.
As she made her way to the picnic location, she could see Dove, Sirin, and Colin already gathered. Hopefully, she wasn't very late. "[color=##0a0872]Hello[/color]!" she called out as she got closer, smiling somewhat nervously. "[color=##0a0872]I hope I'm not too late. I've brought drinks--if that's alright[/color]."

Sirin was overjoyed when everyone started to show up. Nicole, Colin, and Dove. Now all they were missing was EmmaLee. Hopefully she'd gotten the owl that Dove sent.
"Hey everyone! It seems like we're all arriving, and the food! Mmm Colin that food smells amazing! What did you bring?"
Sirin was more excited than ever. Her first picnic with Hogwarts friends! Everything smelled so amazing..
"Ooh...careful with the drinks, Nicole! We don't wanna shatter the butterbeer bottles, that would be a shame. I wonder what EmmaLee will bring..."
Sirin's excitement grew with every passing moment. She began to unpack her items: the chicken drumsticks, delicately placed on a plate that she had (somehow) managed to grab. She then pulled out the sandwiches--bacon, cheese, egg, and avocado--a classic. One for each person, and a couple extras (that Sirin would probably end up devouring) for anyone who wanted more. She'd also snuck a couple candies, just because her sweet tooth was itching today. Some chocolate frogs, and caramel candies would do nicely. She noticed that Colin had also brought some other dishes too---the more the better. It seemed that they were all set. Then, Sirin realized her hair was down and messy.
"Could someone help braid my hair?"

EmmaLee smiled as she dressed for a picnic that she had been invited to. A lovely girl in her house named Dove had invited a few people to a picnic. As she dressed in a dark navy sweater that was too large for her, black pants, and navy sneakers, she thought about what she would bring.
"What would you bring, Minx?" She asked as she popped her head through the hole of the sweater. Her fluffy white cat rolled over on her bed from its pervious upside down position so that she could look at her girl. She then tipped her head to the side and mewed as if to say "Well, I don't know." EmmaLee laughed a little.
"Well, that's no help." She put her knuckle to her thumb and thought for a moment. "I think I'll bring a salad and some bread with butter. I don't think anyone else will think of that. I'll go over and ask the house elves for one." With that plan made, she turned and headed out of her dorm room. Minx gave a small mew and hoped off the bed to follow her girl.
Once EmmaLee had secured her salad and bread from the house elves, a thing of beauty with various kind of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other good vegetables in a good dressing, she rushed over the grounds to get to the outdoor club area. She grinned widely and held her food prize over her head as she approached everyone.
"Hello, everyone!" She said, walking over and setting her food down with everyone else's. "Thank you for inviting me, Dove." Minx was polite and stood close to her owner, ignoring the food like to good little kitty.

"Colin, EmmaLee, and Nicole... Wow! You guys came around the same time." She giggled as Maple flew over and perched on her shoulder. "Good girl, Maple! You delivered the letters pretty fast." Dove moved over to make room for everyone. "Who's ready to eat?" She asked, offering to take their food and set it out. "This food all looks amazing, everyone! You all did great." In the middle of setting out the food, Sirin asked for help in braiding her hair.@Sirin Liu

"Oh, sure Sirin!" Dove stood up, taking a hair band out of her pockets and walking up to Sirin. "Woah, your hair is pretty long, haha." Sirin's hair was a bit of a darker lavender color, and quite soft. Dove smiled, letting her hair go once she tied it up. "There ya go, sweetheart!" She stepped back. "So, how is everyone doing? I suppose I'm quite alright myself. Maple-" The beautiful owl was now energetically darting in between the trees, chasing everything that moved. "-has been quite more well behaved lately!" She picked up a sandwich brought by Sirin and took a small bite of it. "Wow, it's as delicious as I thought it would be! Great job, Sirin."

Colin watched as Dove greeted everyone and managed to make quick work of braiding EmmaLee's purple hair. He smirked. She could have a try at his mane later! He tipped out the contents of the basket the Elves had given him and heaped everything up in a lovely pile as Dove set about sorting everything out neatly.
"What's with the picnic, Dove? I'm not complaining! But why did you invite us?"
Colin helped to pour out some drinks. It really was a nice afternoon and he'd been in a really excellent mood the last few days so he was more than happy to meet some new friends. After saying grace, he helped himself to some sandwiches and cheese and sausage.
"I often wonder how the Elves do it. All this cooking, right? I mean, at home, the Elves won't let me near the kitchens. And here at school, all the food just magically appears on the table!" He tried some of the vegetables that EmmaLee had brought.
"Sirin, what's the green goo in this sandwich? I've never seen anything like it before!" He shrugged at ate it anyway!

"Oh, why did I- Uh-" It was a question she hadn't even considered. As Colin ate his sandwich, Dove pretty much blacked out and sputtered over a response.
"Well, uh, you guys are cool, I guess. You've all been nice to me, and decent, and st-stuff. Y'know. Basic stuff. So I thought it'd be a nice little treat, for me and all of you alike." She smiled at Colin, looking away immediately after. "Plus, I had the blanket, and the extra food from cooking. So, you know, it just kind of worked out." She bit into a cauldron cake she had brought, unconsciously twirling some loose strings from the blanket around her finger.

Dove giggled. It was true! "Well, they probably have nothing better to do, right?" She covered her mouth. "Uh, I mean- Sorry, that sounded, like, really rude. What I meant was, they might be bored? So they cook! Like I do when I get bored. It's pretty calming, actually.
