This is something I noticed while doing an assignment:
The things that kinda didn't add up to me- hio intern as well btw, I checked the spell masterlist as well:
The lesson- Duro hardens things. The mass stays the same, only the atomic structure is changed.
Masterlist and Wiki- Duro turns things into stone. But that would change the whole consistency of the target, including the mass because stone has a different mass than paper.

If you will, allow me to expand on the topic of Duro a little further.ReducioDuro, the hardening charm, is not increasing or decreasing the mass or weight of an object, but rather transfiguring its molecular structure to more closely resemble that of the stone's harder and less mutable physical structure.
This change in atomic structure can result in varying degrees of success by altering an object's viscousness, otherwise known as hardness for non-liquids. Where a lighter weight and mass object might have its hardness increased making it more brittle. A more dense and heavy object, like perhaps a log, might gain some structural integrity depending upon the quality of one's performance casting the spell. Remember that hardness does not mean toughness as was mentioned in the lecture.
TLDRIn summary, the spell does not make an object out of stone, but rather replaces the current object's atomic structure with that of a stone's atomic structure thereby increasing the hardness of an object without increasing its weight.

There usually isn't a word count in Transfiguration if it's not stated otherwise, however it is needed for your answers to be detailed. Hello.
I'm on the Avifors spell homework (late in the year, I know), however I have a few questions.
I wanted to research the Lapifors spell for one of the homework questions. However, the wiki says the wand movement is pointing the wand at the target, which I find odd.
Do you want me to put that down because it's what I've found, or make up a wand movement that makes more sense with what we know from transfiguration?
I know I'm most likely nitpicking but I'd figure I'd ask anyway.

There are plenty of spells where the only wand movement is to point at the intended target, so I'm glad you came for clarification. If the wiki states that this is in fact the case for Lapifors, then that's going to be your best answer in this scenario. If you receive marks you off for it, please owl me with a link to the source you're using so I can correct any mistakes promptly.

The spell must be one they have already learned in previous classes? And if so, should they be of Transfigurations or do they also counts from other classes, like Charms or DADA?VI - [RPG] Take two spells that you have learned and roleplay a load and shoot exercise.
