Perhaps first friends ?
The Hogwarts Express was about to go, Hildegard was already in the famous train and was searching for a compartment to sit in, walking with difficulties she still did not want to take the first compartment that she could take.
She was too scared of people's reaction to her walking issues, so she wanted to be the first person in a compartment so she could sit before anyone noticed.
The little witch was anxious about who would share the compartment with her and hoped she would get nice peoples by her sides.
Hildegard Schneider was already dressed with her school uniform, she did not want to bother change on the middle of the ride.
"This one look good" She thought
While entering the compartment she hesitated on which seat she should take, she decided to sit next to the windows looking forward to the direction the train was heading to.
Calm down ! If you are nice to them they will be nice to you...right ?
Was she convicting herself to believe.
She however could not stop from giving sign of heavy stress, trembling with her whole body, tooth chatter and so on.
Her focus was on the door, she knew at least someone would come, the train was not enough big for someone to be able to travel alone after all.

Taking her first steps onto the Hogwarts Express, Aurora was anxious to settle into her new life at school. She had just said her tearful goodbyes to her family, and her older brother had left her side as soon as he saw his friends, so she was alone on this journey. She walked the narrow passages on the train, looking into the compartments that she passed. It looked to her as if each one was filled with chatter and laughter, and she began to worry if she would be the only one who didn't know anyone else.
A couple of girls were walking towards her, talking intimately in their private conversation, and didn't seem to notice Aurora walking towards them. Aurora could already tell that there wouldn't be space for all three of them to pass at the same time, but the girls had not made the same observation. When they finally reached each other, the two girls so focused on their conversation, didn't notice when they pushed Aurora into a random compartment.
Aurora stumbled into the compartment, and when she turned around to straighten herself out, she noticed a young girl sitting by herself, looking curiously at Aurora.
Aurora decided this compartment was as good as any, and sat down next to the window across from the girl. Before Aurora introduced herself, she noticed that the girl looked about as nervous as Aurora felt on the inside, and the girl's entire body looked to be trembling.
"You look about as nervous as I feel." Aurora said with a smile, eagerly hoping that she was about to make her first friend. "I'm Aurora. And you are?"

Aurora could already tell that there wouldn't be space for all three of them to pass at the same time, but the girls had not made the same observation. When they finally reached each other, the two girls so focused on their conversation, didn't notice when they pushed Aurora into a random compartment.

Katie nervously entered the train compartment. Would she even make any friends here? She hadn't had many close friends before. Would other kids want to be around her?
As Katie took a seat, She noticed two other girls her She already sitting their. Oh! Katie said, startled, I didn't notice you in here. Katie had been quite apprised to see to other first years like get when she had entered the train. Would they like her? Would they become her friends? Katie hoped they'd give her a chance either way.
I'm Katie. Katie Palsorette. Nice to meet you! she said, holding out her hand to introduce herself. And you guys are... she asked, prompting the strangers who might end up add her friends to introduce themselves back.
Katie wore a Slytherin green t-shirt, black dress pants, and brown leather dress shoes. Her pure-blooded parents had insisted. She felt stuffy in this outfit though, and after seeing a lot of the other kids in jeans, she'd quickly become envious. Her parents had never let her wear jeans even just around the major when no one was home. She hadn't been forced to arrive at the platform in her dress types though for school, and for that Katie had been thankful.

As the girl asked Hildegard about her nerviousness and her name, she replied with as much confidence as she could.
-Y...yes ! I'm sorry ! I am the nervous type of person, hum my n...name is Hildegard, Hildegard Schneider ! Hum nice to meet you !
As she finished her sentence another girl entered the place, introducing herself as Katie Palsorette and asking the same question as the other girl.
-Hello K...Katie I'm Hildegard Schneider, N...nice to meet you too ! She said trying her best not to stutter.
While talking Hildegard noticed how Katie was dressed, with a Slytherin t-shirt. The witch got really scared at that moment, since she always heard about Slytherin's bad reputation.
"Maybe she is a second year from Slytherin... I'm so scared to have to travel with her all the way to Hogwarts..." She thought.
-A...are you a second year ? Miss Schneider asked to Katie.
"So this is Aurora and this is Katie... Aurora... I like her name..." She realized while thinking.
-A...aurora you have a beautiful name, she said enviously.
She smiled to both girls to try to hide her melted feeling of both discomfort and enviousness, and looked at the empty seats left to be occupied.

A second year? Katie askef. She wondered why these girls thought she'd been a second year. She'd always been fairly thin and had never been extraordinarily tall. Katie didn't think she looked like a second year, but apparently her compartment buddy thought otherwise. Nope, I'm a first year. she answered. Are you a first year also? she asked. Maybe Katie would have the chance to make some friends. That would be a welcome relief from having nothing but the family portraits in the Palsorette manor halls.
I'm super nervous. I think I going to go to Slytherin because my who family had gone their, but I heard it's no longer the house of pure-bloods. Are you guys pure-bloods? I know my parents are big pure-blood supremacists, but after realizing just how many half-blood and mudbl-mu-mm-muggleborns there are who attend Hogwarts, I am not so sure my parents are right. Katie said, somewhat rambling, Sorry about my language. she added, I've been raised to call mu-mu-muggleborns mudbloods my whole life. I don't mean to offend anyone, and I'm working hard to curb that habit. Katie added. She felt bad about the foul language she'd picked up from her parents and truly hoped that the girls in the train compartment would understand she did not mean to be intentionally rude or demeaning.

Just as Aurora learned the name of the girl whom she was sitting across from in the compartment, a second girl entered. She was dressed in a Slytherin shirt, and Aurora liked that she confidently showed her enthusiasm and pride for the house. The girl in green introduced herself, and so Aurora thought to do the same. "Hi Katie, I'm Aurora Vaughn. Nice shirt." Aurora responded, welcoming her with a smile, and she waited for the girl to take her seat in the compartment.
Hildegard gave Aurora a compliment on her name, and almost immediately Aurora began to blush, and a natural smile formed on her red face. "Thank you, that's so sweet of you to say. I've always been a bit skeptical about it, but I learned to love it more as I grew older." The simple compliment made Aurora's nerves settle, and she felt at peace sitting there with the two girls.
Katie explained that she was a first year, anticipating to go into the Slytherin House, and asked if they were pure-bloods like her. "No, I'm half-blood. My mother was a witch and my father is a muggle, so I grew up in both worlds." While Katie was talking, Aurora noticed that she was having a hard time referring to muggleborns by this term. Aurora thought of how she said that her parents were big pure-blood supremacists, and assumed this was the reason for her language, yet Aurora appreciated the fact that Katie was trying very hard to adjust. She didn't want the girl to feel unwelcome because of this, so she intended to reassure her. "The fact that you're trying to change is what truly counts."

As Katie listened to Aurora trek her about hour it's the attempt that mattered, Katie felt a little better, but not by much. She felt like an idiot for ever even slightly believing her parents' lies, but she still struggle with being politically correct and not an insensitive git. I know, but I feel terrible about it anyway. Katie said back to Aurora. And thank you for the compliment. You are too kind! she said also.
So you grew up in both worlds! I know hardly anything about the muggle world. My parents didn't encourage questions about what they called filthy muggles, even though I suspect that isn't the case anymore. Will you tell me about what the muggle world is like? Katie asked Aurora. She trophy wanted to learn more, and was fascinated by how the muggles could survive without magic. She knew that the statute of secrecy was in place so muggles wouldn't know, per say, what they were missing, but would they still feel like they were missing something? She'd heard from her parents that muggles hated magical children because they were jealous of them. Was that still true, or was it yet another lie on behalf of her parents' bigoted attitudes?

I don't know about pure blood superiority and things like that. I...I am actually scared of Muggles...and pure blood supremacist I...I mean he who must not be named was scary...So i prefer not to be get involved, i mean i don't want supremacist to attack me for being a blood traitor She said with all seriousness.

Aurora found the conversation between herself and these two girls to be going well, and she was excited to learn more about how these witches had grown up differently from her. She could definitely feel that the girls had been raised in a different way than what she was used to, but she liked this above all. She was intrigued by the fact that they all had different perspectives and ideas they could share with each other about their views on the muggle and wizarding worlds.
"Well the muggle world," Aurora said to Katie when she asked, "is obviously quite different from the wizarding world. Since muggles live without magic, they have to do a things the more natural way, like wash their own dishes or clean the house themselves. Also, muggles don't have owls flying around with their post. They use their phones for emails, or send letters to a post office." Aurora could go on and on about the muggle world, but she decided to hold back her enthusiasm and take it one step at a time.
Aurora was overjoyed that she had found people to have pleasant conversation with on the train ride to Hogwarts, and she had a hope that they would all continue to be friends, even if there was a chance they wouldn't be placed in the same house. When Hildegard asked which house Aurora thought she would be placed in, she gave it some thought before she answered. "I'm not quite sure exactly, but I've always had this draw towards the Gryffindor or Ravenclaw houses, so hopefully I'll get sorted into either one of those."
Aurora was excited about what would await her when she arrived at Hogwarts. She began thinking about how her life would change, with the new people and the classes. "What classes are you guys most excited for?" Aurora asked the two girls, curious to find out if they shared similar interests.

Lorelei moved awkwardly through the crowded train, trying to find a compartment. Almost all of them were full, people whose families knew each other, some who had met on the platform. She started to get really nervous, she didn't know many people in the wizarding world. She hunched her shoulders as she moved along, slipping past people as quickly as she could.
"Sorry. Sorry. Excuse me." She winced feeling weird as she made her way through the people "Sorry" She continued, stumbling a few times. The train's lighting wasn't very bright, so she couldn't see well. She clutched her book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the newest edition, to her chest, wishing she'd left it in her trunk. She was already dressed in her Hogwarts robes, and she was starting to worry she might break her wand if she ran into anyone. Eventually, the aisles started to clear as people found seats. She didn't see any empty compartments and eventually stopped at one with three girls inside. She didn't see any house identification, they must have been first years like her. She knocked and slid the door open, carefully.
"Um, hi." she said, panicking a bit "Sorry to inturrupt. Uh, is it okay if I sit here? I can't find any open compartments and don't know too many people. Or any really." She held her breath as she waited for an answer.
