First Friend at Beauxbatons

It was the first day of school, in Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Charlottà felt excited yet nervous. Excited that she might find many lifelong friends, but nervous because… Charlottà heaved a sigh. She felt very homesick, and thought that she might get sick at any moment. Carefully biting her lip so to prevent it to come out, Charlottà wished for more than anything that her family was by her side, without any worries. That was the feeling of home.
As Charlottà went inside the large school of Beauxbatons, an even more nervous feeling came to her stomach.
What if the people there were mean to me? What if I didn’t make any friends? What if I kept on getting bullied by her classmates?
Her worries were troubling her, no doubt.
Ought I go ahead and try to make some new friends?
Her family, kind and loving, had never made her feel that she was in the middle of a struggle. Debating it in her brain for a few moments, Charlottà finally decided that she would try to do so.
But if they don’t want…there’s nothing I can do, Charlottà but her lip thoughtfully.
Looking into the distance, Charlottà found out that there were quite a few wizards running into the school. Laughing to herself, silently, Charlottà started to daydream, forgetting where was currently was, thinking that she was back with her dear family, with absolutely nothing to worry about…

“Son, you can do this. Just write letters to your mother and I, once or twice a week. Have fun!” His father Brayden had said when Peter went over to hug his father goodbye. “Yes, father, goodbye,” Peter had spoke in his Welsh accent. He then went to his words for his mother.
“Goodbye Mum, I love you, see you in winter, Peter hugged his mother, Iris. “Have fun, my son, I love you,”He heard his mother’s accent. Saying goodbye to Marietta was hardest of them all. “Goodbye, Brawd mawr big brother ” The eight year old hugged Peter around the middle and waited for her brother’s reply before she let go. “Love you, Chwaer fach,little sister” At the end of Peter’s words, he gently took his sister’s arms off of him and walked on ahead with his trunk and belongings. He then looked at the castle, it was absolutely beautiful. How could he fit it here?
Mentally shaking himself, he told himself that he’ll be fine, telling himself to run, Peter ran freely into the school, his trunk sailing smoothly behind him. He then heard a large thump. He had ran into a girl. A girl with platinum blonde hair. A girl lying on the floor, thanks to him. Shit! He thought, and heard a small oof.
“Ohhh, shit, ohh. I'm so sorry! Are you ok?!?” Holding out his hand to help the girl if the girl even wanted help, Peter waited for the girl’s reply. Wether it be angry or accepting, he knew it was going to bad somehow. He looked around, hopefully no saw him run into this girl? Oh bloody hell, he thought and looked back to the girl.

Charlottà, who was still lost in her thoughts, looked absent-mindedly around the whole crowd of students in the large school. Her platinum blonde hair swayed for a moment until a sudden movement brushed past her, startling her. Shy she was, Charlottà had no trouble in saying what she thought.
What the hell is going on? she said as she collapsed onto the stony floor Looking up, she saw a boy there, who was frantically apologising to her.
It’s fine.
As the boy held up his hand to help her, Charlottà felt grateful.
Oh, thanks so much! I’m Charlottà, by the way. Er…a pleasure to meet you.
She was pretty nervous at that point, and tried hard not to hesitate when she was talking. Once an introvert, always an introvert. She was quite nervous to meet him, though his kind smile sort of confronted her a bit, that he … well, looked pretty kind. And nice. Not about to confess that point to him, Charlottà bit her lip. She was feeling homesick, though she felt like she had met a new friend. Holding out her hand, she gave the boy a warm smile, to say that she wanted to make friends with him.

When Peter felt his hair move in the slight wind, he realized that he still had a hold on the girl, Charlottà’s hand, Peter let go gently, and said, “No problem. It’s the least I could do after making you fall,”. He then looked around frantically, hoping wildly that his parents were gone, or they would be racing over to him, asking him questions and embarrass him.
All he wanted to do was fit in! He didn’t want to be the outsider. He didn’t want to be the only one who spoke Welsh. Calm down, stupid, calm down, Taking a deep breath, he looked up at the French girl, to make sure she wasn’t speaking.
Calming himself down, Peter flashed a small smile and spoke softy, “So, um, what are you most looking forward for this year?” Changing the subject, Peter spoke more calmly in his accent. Now that he had calmed down himself, his strange aura was smooth and weirdly calm

Charlottà simply couldn’t believe that she made a new friend at this early stage. She rather nervously looked at her newfound friend.
Er…well…
She was undoubtedly having trouble with talking to him, as she wasn’t really sure how to start. Biting her lip, she looked inside the crowd, and thought of the strangeness of not being with her family.
As the boy asked her which subject was she most looking forward to, Charlottà was relieved.
Oh well… I think I’m rather suited to Herbology, so I’m looking forward to that one, it has many fascinating herbs and plants!
Charlottà seemed to have became less shy as she began to talk about her favorite wizarding subject.
Well, I did indeed do a little background reading before I came to this school,
she said, hoping that the boy won’t think of her as a nerd. She was indeed a bookworm, and the thought of reading had greatly gave her an urge to take a book and read. It was always simple - without a start, there will never be a finish. Therefore, Charlottà always liked to start reading books, as she truly believed in that quote.
Realising that she had not spoken to the boy for quite a moment, Charlottà hesitated once more. Was it really that hard? Her deep blue eyes looked into the boy’s eyes, finally deciding that he was trustworthy.
Also, I’m excited for charms lesson to begin, it would be really fun!

Even though he calmed himself down he still was a bit nervous. Peter nodded nervously, and spoke, “I love Herbology, my dad told me all about. I love the way we can make plants move and stuff. We have one of those herbology plants at home or we used to, when we lived in Ferd.... Before we moved to France.” The Welsh boy didn’t want the French girl to know where he came from.
“Ooh, background reading? My best friend Brooke, she’s one of the smartest girls I know! Well, not that I know a lot of girls, nor boys,” He fiddled with his hands sheepishly.
“Any-who, she used to have books in her face. Me and Win would have to steal it from her if we wanted to play outside with her. She's a pure-blood who knows everything, and Win, Winnie’s my other best friend. Likewise, I'm the same as well, a nerd.” Chuckling about himself, he remembered all the good times he had with his two very best friends, Brookline and Winifred. What else did he like? He liked the idea of Potions and how Brookline would speak about it.
Listening to the girl, he wondered about Charms. Kinda like Potions and Transfiguration. “I bet Charms will be fun, its kinda like Transfiguration! I think... I hope we get see each other a lot this year. Wa-Wanna be friends?....”
