Saskia would have thrown her hands up in defense if she wasn't carrying a heavy typewriter at the moment. She sighed internally- she forgot she was still carrying it with her. She didn't feel like putting it back on the table when she would eventually pick it up again, but now she had to solely rely on her facial expressions to express her points. They weren't as helpful as using hand gestures, but they'd have to do.

"Fair enough. I was only considering that option if they were only found in the storage rooms, since that might be where they would be found if they weren't used in Flying class. If they were available even after classes already ended, then we don't need to do anything else other than getting the things we need," she rationalized.

She wouldn't necessarily mind stealing if that's what it took, but when there were other easier ways to get the supplies, stealing would just be unnecessarily risky. She may have been reckless, but she wasn't that reckless.

"Although, I guess it would also be weird if we tried to ask the professors for help on assembling Muggle technology, of all things, but I don't think they'd mind too much," she mused to herself before turning to face Lamik again. "Is there anything else we need to do, then?"

"We would also need to ask the professor of muggle studies if they can lend us some tools. They might even let us do this in their classroom, if we promise not to make too much of a mess." Working in a classroom would be a lot easier then working outside, Lamik decided. A flat, hard, surface to work on would be nice, and wind wouldn't be an issue. If the professor of Muggle Studies was up to it, they might even want to help him and Saskia! Though he wanted to prove that he knew what he was talking about to her, the boy was aware of how much easier it would be if the two had an adult who knew what they were doing helping out.

Lamik noticed that Saskia seemed a but uncomfortable carrying it- though he didn't know why. It may have been heavy, but his best guess was that it's sharp edges poked through the bag and made it uncomfortable to hold. "Do you want me to carry the typewriter, by the way?" While the boy wasn't exactly the most polite boy, even Lamik was aware that helping out a friend was the nice thing to do in the situation at hand.

"That makes sense. Muggle Studies would definitely help with this kind of situation."

She felt pretty dumb for not thinking about consulting the Muggle Studies classroom for information on the typewriter. Granted, she didn't have that class yet, which meant she didn't know much about it, nor did she think much about it. Still, it was Muggle Studies. It was so obvious that the class would be able to help with the typewriter issue. But now that she was reminded of that class, she felt even more stupid. There were probably some books in the library that could have helped her, and she completely missed them. The overall size of the library didn't help in that regard, but it still embarrassed her.

"Do you want me to carry the typewriter, by the way?"

Saskia held back a sigh. She knew Lamik meant well when he offered to help, but she couldn't help but feel a tinge of irritability. She could handle herself. Well, mostly, considering how she couldn't even operate the typewriter and needed outside assistance to get somewhere. But even then, it wasn't like holding a typewriter was rocket science. What even gave it away that she couldn't hold the typewriter?

"Nope. I can hold it. I wouldn't want to burden you, anyway. Thanks for offering, though," she said, managing a smile. "So, should we get going?"

Lamik shrugged, a but disappointed that he couldn't be the one to carry the typewriter as it would have given him a chance to look at it more closely. "Alright." He said, turning around towards the exit of the library. He would have to wait until they got to the classroom. "Considering the fact that i don't think either of us knows any spells that can teleport us, going would, in fact, be the best way to get to our destination." Turning around for just a moment, Lamik asked cautiously. "You don't know any spells that could teleport us, do you? That would be an incredible help."

Deciding that his question was, after all, ridiculous, Lamik started walking towards the exit, imagining how cool it would be to know a spell that could teleport you anywhere, any time. The boy quickly realized that staying silent during the walk through the castle would have made things awkward, so he decided to bring up another subject matter- one that was probably the single most important subject that somebody could ask somebody else at any time in their lives. Ever."So what's your favorite color? I'm asking since I'm not sure what else to talk about, by the way. Mine is purple."

"You don't know any spells that could teleport us, do you? That would be an incredible help."

Saskia shook her head. "There's Apparition, but it takes a lot of practice and skill to get it right. I don't even think any first years are allowed to Apparate unless they pass a test, or something like that. There's too much risk involved, including possible limb displacements, and death. There are objects that let us teleport, but we clearly don't have them with us," she replied, shrugging as she tried to remember what she learned from her parents' books on magic.

"So what's your favorite color? I'm asking since I'm not sure what else to talk about, by the way. Mine is purple."

She gave the boy an amused smile. "Out of all the questions you could have asked, you ended up asking for my favourite colour?" she asked teasingly. She didn't find it necessarily bad- after all, it was probably just a starting point for later questions, but it was entertaining to poke fun at him for it.

Shaking her head, she replied to the question. "I don't really think about it much. But if I had to choose, I guess I'd say my favourite colour is red. I don't have any deep reasons for it, other than the fact that it looks cool. Sorry about that," she said, laughing.

"Since we're on the topic of asking each other questions, how much do you think you know about magic?"

"There are objects that let us teleport, but we clearly don't have them with us."

Lamik sighed. He knew for a fact that the answer to his question would be no, but there was still the small part of him that wanted to do something as amazing, if a but scary, as teleporting. Making a mental note of figuring out how and when he could get one of these objects, the boy pushed the thought out of his mind.

When Saskia laughed, Lamik felt like laughing as well. He didnt know exactly why, but the boy had the urge to burst into laughter. Because he liked laughing, Lamik didn't dwell on the thought too much.

"Since we're on the topic of asking each other questions, how much do you think you know about magic?"

"Asking each other questions isn't much of an actual subject, is it?" Lamik asked, raising an eyebrow at the girl. "Well... It honestly depends on the class. I'm absolutely garbage at potions- mostly because it bored me half to death, and I've never had much of an interest in Quidditch, either. The classes that I enjoy the most are Charms and Defence the Dark Arts, and I'd like to think that I know enough about those two. I want to be an Auror when I grow up, after all." Lamik had a vague idea of what Aurors did, and that idea made them sound like superheroes mixed with secret agents. A fight against evil that only very few can participate in.

"Asking each other questions isn't much of an actual subject, is it?"

Saskia shook her head. "Questions themselves aren't a subject, but discussing about questions can be one," she responded with a shrug. She didn't really know why she had to clear it up, but she felt like she needed to, somehow.

She continued to listen on to Lamik's reply to her question. It wasn't surprising to see that he enjoyed Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts. In fact, she herself preferred those subjects above the others. They were more action-based and less heavy on theory, which was something she's always liked. She could never sit still while she listened to another professor ramble on about things she could probably never understand, even if she tried to follow along with her book. She never understood how other people could do that.

Saskia couldn't help but smile when he mentioned wanting to be an Auror when he grew up. It was also something she herself dreamed of, even if she knew how dangerous it was. Perhaps the fact that it was dangerous only made her want to pursue it further. But she'd probably need to make sure her grades were perfect if she wanted to consider it. And her parents weren't really encouraging whenever she mentioned about it. Even her mother seemed to be against her wanting to be an Auror, for some odd reason. And that was her mother- she was open minded for the most part, and she never had any qualms against any other risky activities Saskia did unless she got herself hurt.

"You know, in order to be an Auror, you'd have to be the best of the best. That means you'd need really good grades. But if you think you've got what it takes, then I'll support you," she said, grinning at him.

Lamik frowned. He had obviously assumed that he would need amazing grades if he could ever even hope of becoming an Auror, but hearing it said out loud by someone else made it all too real. He knew that if he needed to he would find a way to get great grades in the subjects that he really liked, but he wasn't sure how well he would manage with the ones that he had more issue with.

"Well..." the boy said as his smile returned suddenly. "Now I have you! I'll help you if you ever need anything non-magical, and in exchange, you'll be able to help me get better grades at everything!"

While he wasn't hadn't reassured himself completely, Lamik was determined to get the best grades he could. If he decided that he did, as a matter of fact, want to be an Auror for certain, the boy would do nearly anything necessary to get there.

"You will help me, won't you? That would be really, really... Well... Helpful.

As the two left the Library, Lamik couldn't help his excitement. He had finally found someone who might turn into an actual, good friend (and wasn't trying to blow up bathrooms like some other people he had encountered).

"Well... Now I have you! I'll help you if you ever need anything non-magical, and in exchange, you'll be able to help me get better grades at everything!""

Saskia laughed, her eyes lighting up in amusement. "That would be nice. I have a lot more non-magical things around that I could use some help on."

It was a good arrangement- they'd be able to build up their lack of knowledge on certain things, and Lamik was actually a decent person. She'd still have to get to know him better to prove that fact, but so far, she was looking forward to spending more time with him in the future. She couldn't help but wonder whether this would actually last. She met many people, and while she liked them, they always found a way to leave. She hoped this new friendship would stay intact, at least for a while.

"You will help me, won't you? That would be really, really... Well... Helpful."

Looking back at the boy, Saskia gave him a genuine smile. "Of course I'll help. Just let me know when you need it."

She wasn't sure whether she'd be able to teach him the more complicated aspects of magic, and she especially couldn't help him in Transfiguration. She could only know so much from her books on magic and the lessons from her classes. Nevertheless, she's willing to try. If he could go through all the trouble to help her with an old typewriter, she could afford to help him with magic.

With the typewriter in her hands, Saskia walked out of the library, wondering to herself whether Lamik's plan would actually work. Despite the inconveniences they encountered along the way, she had hope that they would eventually get the typewriter working- even if it meant they needed to come up with numerous plans until they succeeded. But that was assuming they were willing to go that far. On the other hand, if they couldn't get it to work, she had other pieces of technology that sounded less complicated than typewriters. It would still be a shame if they couldn't get it to work, though. Only time and some planning would tell if it did.
