A Break After Class PV Euphrasia Millie

@Euphrasia Millie
Harmony walked into the Girls' Lavatory, happy to finally have a bit of a break after having nothing but class for the past several hours. She took note of her surroundings: the mirrors and sinks were greyed and cracked with age, and the dusty brick walls sported the occasional bit of grafitti, with little tidbits like Pansy + Draco 4ever and Snape suckkksss, most of which were obviously remnants of students from years, heck, decades past. I wonder if there's any graffiti from a hundred, no, a thousand years ago, Harmony thought to herself.

Harmony glanced behind herself, eyeing the toilets. Every stall was empty, which was fine by her, as she didn't need to use them; it gave her a good excuse to plant herself in front of one of the mirrors and comb her hair without fear that someone would need it any time soon. Reaching inside her leather book-bag, Harmony pulled out a large, wide-toothed comb that her mother had given her. "Perfec' for brushin' out yer wee curls," she'd said.

So, humming to herself, she began to comb her thick, dark hair, fully knowing that, although she was alone now, there was a good chance that someone else would be needing to use the bathroom very, very shortly.

Millie gathered her stuff from Transfiguration. Class had gone quite well, and Millie had thought everything was all good. Of course, in the end of class, the professor had assigned two rolls of parchment of an essay for homework, and Millie was already feeling her good mood disappear.

Sliding out of the classroom and into the corridors, Millie felt herself be literally swept away with the students. Most of them she recognized; girls and boys in her year. Though there were some older years, Millie had a bunch of trouble recognizing them. There were a few that were in Gryffindor, and she was able to rack her brain for their names, if they held out a hand to high-five or such.

Reaching the fourth floor, Millie found her destination. The girls bathroom was normally empty, but it was inhabited by Moaning Myrtle, and another girl, whom she didn't recognize. The girl had on Hufflepuff robes, so taking a not-so-wild guess, Millie thought she was in Hufflepuff. She had long, brown curls, which she was brushing, and bright ocean-colored eyes.

As Millie stepped into the light of the bathroom, she couldn't help but want to talk to the Hufflepuff, but her own courage was slipping through her mind. Like trying to hold water in your hands, it would always trickle away.

"Trying to take a break from class too, I presume?" Millie's voice was completely messed with her American accent, and her r's were messy. "I'm Euphrasia, by the way, I prefer Millie, though."

A loud, yet friendly-sounding voice interrupted Harmony's thoughts (and hair-combing).

"Trying to take a break from class too, I presume?"

This sudden voice, though it caused her to jump ever so slightly, as it contrasted greatly with what had once been a relatively quiet room, wasn't unwelcome in the slightest; Harmony was, after all, in a public restroom. She was bound to run into somebody at some point!

Turning around, Harmony came face-to-face with a girl, about her own age, in Gryffindor attire. "I'm Euphrasia, by the way, I prefer Millie, though." This girl, Millie, seemed to be very friendly, something that Harmony truly appreciated; since coming to Hogwarts, it felt as though everyone just wanted to mind their own business. It was nothing like the small wizard community just outside of Edinburgh, where Harmony'd grown up, as everyone there had known one another since birth, practically, and would always greet everyone they came across with a, "Hi, how are ye?"

Harmony flashed a bright, white smile. "Oh! Well, nice to meet ye, Millie. My name's Harmony!" She responded, perhaps a bit too enthusiastically. She couldn't help it, though; she was an energetic little girl, and besides, meeting new people was something Harmony always looked forward to. "Aye, yes, A've finished me classes for the day. Figured I'd give my hair a good brush through, to get out all the tangles." Her Scottish accent was thick, and she hoped Millie, would be able to understand what she was saying.

After observing her closer, however, Harmony thought that the girl, with her brown, chin length hair and big, dark eyes, looked a bit familiar. Cocking her head to one side, she asked, "'Ey, aren't ye in Potions with me? A've only been in that class a few days. "

So the girl was called Harmony. Such a beautiful name, and it meant such a pretty thing too. Peace and euphoraia. Euphoria sounded a little bit like Euphrasia, and they both meant happiness, or some form like it. Euphrasia meant good cheer, and was a pretty type of flower.

But Millie was more what Euphrasia went by. A couple of times, family members would call her Destiny, or sometimes even 'Phrasia. But Euphrasia Destiny Millie had enough nicknames, and she thought it was best to stick by just one. Or two, or three. But not six thousand!

The girl, Harmony, had a very thick Scottish accent. It was so thick, that Millie had a bit of a hard time understanding her, but still, she did try. If she was able to understand a whole bunch of different accents in airports, and learn other languages very quickly, figuring out what Harmony was saying wasn't too difficult.
"'Ey, aren't ye in Potions with me? A've only been in that class a few days. "
After a moment or so, Millie realized that Harmony was telling the truth. Millie hated, Potions. The professor was terrifying, and she was having such a difficult time with it. After hearing stories of the fateful Neville Longbottom, she hadn't felt as bad. But Millie still did get confused very often.

"Yeah, I think so. I'm not very good at Potions though. Not as bad as Neville Longbottom, I'd like to think. What about you? How are you doing in your classes?"
