I sincerely apologize for not writing to you last night, I was just too exhausted after the Sorting Ceremony. You wouldn't guess where I've been sorted to...
I was placed in Slytherin!
I wasn't really sure if the hat was going to place me in your previous houses but I have asked the hat to place me where it thinks I really belong. I met some friends during my journey to Hogwarts; there was Elodie Norman and Samuel Moreno. Both of them were sorted in Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff respectively, and I have a new dormmate, Clementine Pierce.
I will tell you all about my new friends and my first-week experience at Hogwarts with the next owl.
Please give a hug to Mitzy for me please, I dearly miss her and she was right that I should've eaten more food before going to King's Cross yesterday.

Dearest Mother and Father,
My first week at Hogwarts was not what I was expecting. Though I have met the most amazing people. There's Lucie, an amazing with with the most eccentric fashion and hair I've ever seen! I've also met Aliana, Ali, who is gifted at singing and she has heterochromia that she inherited from her mum. I've told you about Elodie and Samuel but there's also Klynn who's a fellow Slytherin and Brooke from Ravenclaw. And I think you both know Elisa's parents, the Shakestras as her father's known in the ministry.
Don't worry Father, she doesn't share their idealisms.
Classes are... of mixed results. I find Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Herbology quite fun but unfortunately, I have some difficulties in Potions and Astronomy but I have some classmates who are willing to help me.
That's all I have for now. Oh, and please thank Mitzy for sending me homemade fudges last Monday, they helped me during late-night studies.

It's been a while since we have corresponded via owls. Yes, I admit that I should have gotten my own owl as a birthday gift instead of waiting for the school owl to return but I digress.
Thank you so much for the sweets, I promise I always brush my teeth and keep them in moderation and yes, I remember drinking my potion before sleeping every night, as per the healer's orders.
Sadly, I have been removed from the dueling club since I was out of the school but I think I can reapply next year, which is better as it will give me more time to practice.
Um, that's it for now I guess. Oh, and I got my first O in Potion which is a good thing, please don't frown mother, I promise I'll do my best!
