It was Tori’s birthday that day! Giselle planned to give her a special present, by pranking the DADA professor with her. After that, she was going to give her a birthday present, one that she bought in Zonko’s joke shop. Then, she would give her a cake bought from honey dukes, to celebrate her eleventh birthday. Giselle knew that Tori only knew that they were going to prank the DADA professor, but she was sure that she didn’t know about the other parts.

That night, Giselle had planned to go to the DADA classroom with Tori to play tricks on that teacher, and also to celebrate Tori’s birthday. The last incident, which they had played tricks on almost all the teachers in the whole school, only getting caught and put in detention by the charms professor. This time, however, they were more well prepared, and decided to roam one classroom - the DADA classroom instead of all of them.

As Giselle met up with Tori, her heart was jumping around in excitement. This time they had been much more prepared than before. Giselle even thought of a way to prank the teacher, which was definitely a better way than joke products. True, Giselle never gave up her liking on them, but she thought that casting a spell would be a much better idea of midnight pranking.

Seeing Tori in the distance, Giselle tiptoed over to her and said, Tori, wanna start to prank the professor now? Giselle simply couldn’t wait to prank the professor and celebrate Tori’s birthday! Without waiting for an answer, Giselle continued, I’ll cast the levitation charm on some of his books, and you could steal them. We’d put them back in its right place tomorrow after his class, Giselle reassured her. Taking out her wand, Giselle whispered, Let’s go.

Tori hadn't been interested in history since she came to school. She would have forgotten that today was her birthday if her mother and father had not sent her a birthday card with and a package containing a beautiful stuffed rabbit in the morning. Other than that, she didn't care much.

They were going to make jokes with Giselle today. They had played a joke on her a long time ago and were caught. They hadn't met much since then. It wasn't even past 12 o'clock yet, but there was a curfew. Giselle hadn't said exactly how they were going to pull a prank, so she grabbed her bag, still full of prank props they hadn't used last time, and quietly walked out of the dormitory.

She smiled when Giselle approached her as she walked down the hall. She missed the Hufflepuff girl a lot because she hadn't seen her in a really long time.

"Good idea. Makes less noise this way. I guess."

She took his wand out of his bag. She was very excited. She even forgot it was her birthday. She entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. This was the first time she would do magic outside of class.

This would probably be a great prank to pull on, I guess. Giselle grinned widely. Using magic out of class would be great fun too! The thought of that had excited Giselle a lot. Tori, take out your wand and let’s start! Giselle said enthusiastically. She simply couldn’t wait to do that! Plus, Giselle had missed her friend greatly, as they had not met each other for a long time.

Ready? Giselle asked, jumping up and down in excitement. Well, this time we must be more careful. The door might make a noise if we open it ourselves, which will likely result in getting caught… How’s this? Giselle pointed her wand directly in the centre of the wooden doors, and whispered, Aberto! That spell was to open unlocked doors from a distance, and Giselle felt that it had worked. The door went open itself, making it more possible to see in the dark.

What shall we do first? Giselle asked. Also, happy birthday to you, Tori! Giselle said, giving her a package that she had bought in Hogsmeade and a small birthday cake. These are for you, Giselle whispered in Tori’s ear. They simply couldn’t let the DADA professor to catch them, and before they started their prank too!

Tori walked in as Gis opened the door. It was dark outside, but after Gis solved this problem, she looked around and started looking for books.

"I don't know, I think we can start by looking for books or scrolls first."

She was about to go look for it in the closet when she heard Gis' voice and looked at her in surprise. She didn't tell Gis that her birthday was today. Surprised, he took the cake and gift package from the girl's hand. She put the beautiful white cake with blue decorations on the table and opened the gift.

Inside was a beautiful little black-yellow box with her name written on it and tiny stones on it. She looked very noble. She hugged Gis with joy. Her hair had turned blonde.

"Thank you so much. It looks beautiful. I'll definitely put this in my dormitory. Maybe I'll decorate it with flowers. But I will ask you something. How did you find out it was my birthday?"

She asked curiously. She imagined it would look nice next to Vick's cage on her own nightstand in the Common Room. Then she put it on the table next to the cake.

Finally she found the place where the books were, took his books and went to Gis. A student placed it on her desk. She picked up her wand again and pointed it at a book.

"Wing-GAR-dee-um leh-vee-OH-sa"

A book started to fly into the air. This was also practicing Charms. So, in her opinion, this wasn't much of a problem. She waited for Giselle to do it too.

This will be fun. Super fun, in fact, Giselle said as Tori levitated a book. Let’s try more of this. Giselle smiled mischievously as she held up her wand and casted a different spell with her wand, pointing it at a glass jar beside the professor’s bed. It was the Glass to Sand spell. Ready? Giselle asked Tori. Without waiting for an answer, Giselle whispered, Quarzicum!

The glass turned into sand immediately. Giselle chuckled silently at their prank. Then she looked around the room, only to see some more books, and some Defence Against the Dark Arts artefacts. Some of them looked pretty interesting. Giselle gently took one of those, careful not to make much noise, and pocketed it. You can have it if you like, birthday girl, Giselle said.
My parents always call me that in my birthday. Giselle chuckled a little.

Careful not to make much noise, Giselle pointed her wand at an ink bottle. She wanted to try to destroy the professor’s room as much as they could, as it was Tori’s birthday and Giselle wanted to break many rules with her. They both liked breaking rules a lot, and so it was no surprise, Giselle thought, when they celebrated Tori’s birthday in such a good way. Smiling at their trick, Giselle swished and flicked her wand as she said, Wingardium Leviosa!

After his date night with the Head of Gryffindor house, tipsy laughter and needy kisses had led the Defence Against the Dark Arts professor to pull Galahad towards his classroom for a bit of private fun to end the night off. He would later blame it on the fire whiskey they shared that evening, but in truth it was the sparkle in Galahad's eyes and the electric touch that had him feeling like a lovestruck teenager all over again, even at 36. "Come here... I have a new... Artifact to show you." He babbled between pecks.

"Don't worry, Mon Coeur My Heart, I left the classroom unlocked... Just in case." Orion practically purred, his voice dripping with anticipation. One hand tangled in Galahad's salt-and-pepper hair, while the other tugged him into the classroom by his shirt collar.

With another chuckle, the hand stroking through his hair slid down to grab the door knob and swing the door open, the older French man chuckling as he stumbled backwards into the classroom he thought would be vacant. The back of his foot caught one of the rouge books and he had to catch himself on the wall. "Que diable? What the hell?" He mumbled in his native tongue, annoyed at whatever dared to interrupt the precious time he had with his Gally-Wally. His hand slid down to find his wand. The elder wood one--, "Lumos!"

Galahad considered himself to be very fit for a man of 41. He liked to think he took care of himself. He tried to work out a couple times a week, when the children allowed it. He felt very strong and youthful tonight during his date with Orion. His lover had mussed up his greying hair as they played grabass through the halls. His lightly wrinkled face pulled into a smile as they made their way through the castle.

"An artifact, you say," Galahad giggled as Orion was literally pulling him towards his office. Catrion has picked up their trail at some point and was following behind them. "I do love a good artifact, I hope it's sizable." He giggled again as Orion pecked away. It was certainly time to take their fun and games to a more private setting. It was a matter of convenience that they were going to Orion's, as Galahad's was much nicer but they were further away.

His heart ached for nights like this and every time he had one with Orion he went all aflutter. 'These young kids know nothing of true love,' he would think to himself as he saw them exchange glances or hold hands in the hall.

Orion opened the door and tripped over something, lighting his wand with Orion, a scene of carnage hit his eyes. Catrion, clearly angered by these little shits and their interruption of his father's attempts to score, jumped on the nearest desk and hissed angrily.

"Yes, it's fun. I haven't had fun like this in a long time."

The ventilation spell was fun, but she wanted to go a little further. She pointed her wand at a book and moved herwand.

"in-SEN-dee-o"

A book she was pointing her wand at caught fire. After a while, she stopped the spell and looked at the book, which was now ash. It was actually a really good way to practice magic. When Giselle spoke, she looked at the books next to her. It looked like books that she thought would be really useful. She put one in her bag.

"Thanks. I think it's a spell book that will be really useful. This is the most fun and different birthday I've ever had in my life. Thank you"

Giselle held up the ink bottle and she thought about what she could do. She held her wand up some materials and produced a few red lights for fun. Meanwhile, she heard the sound of the door opening. While she was thinking about what to do, she suddenly felt her face brighten. She froze when she saw Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor Orion Lécuyer and Gryffindor head Galahad Browne. Her hair turned a very light grey. Another red spark accidentally shot out from his wand. It was quite a funny irony to be caught doing a joke on your birthday.

You’re welcome. Giselle smiled as Tori pocketed a book, which was filled with useful spells. That would be great for ya, Giselle joked, smiling happily. This is a great opportunity for both of us to practice our spells AND have fun. Let’s make out most of it! And with that, Giselle reached for another ink bottle, preparing to turn the glass into sand. Quarzi- Giselle started. But then she froze. The door seemed to move. Listening tensely, Giselle heard two men’s voices. Surely they are here to catch us, Giselle thought. This was probably going to be the end of Tori’s birthday party.

Giselle was blaming herself for all of that. Had she not casted too many spells, and led Tori to do it, the whole thing would probably have not happened. They would not have been enjoying themselves this much that Giselle forgot that they were actually breaking rules. Giselle guessed that they had been making a racket. Oh no! What should we do? Run? Hide? Giselle asked herself anxiously. This is not Tori’s fault, it’s yours, Giselle told herself. Had it not been for her, Tori’s midnight birthday party would’ve ended up well. There was a great doubt that they were going to be in detention. Shaking her head, Giselle kicked herself out of sight of Tori. Why had she been so stupid?

Orion's eyes flickered from Victoria to Giselle, to the array of discarded books they had make float around the classroom, to the spilled ink on the floor, and finally to the pile of ashes on the ground. It seemed they had taken this opportunity to try and mess around the classroom, breaking the primary rule of the Defence Against the Dark Arts room: DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING.

Had Orion been more incompetent the two of them could have seriously injured themselves with the various cursed objects that took up residence in his classroom. Thankfully for the two, he had enough sense to securely lock any dangerous objects up at the end of the day. What Giselle had pocketed was not an 'artifact' as she claimed, but simple an odd looking salt shaker that Orion had bought at an antique store. Likewise, the book Victoria had stolen was actually one of Orion's guilty-pleasure romance novels and contained not a single spell.

To top the pointlessness of their late night antics off, every piece of damage (aside from perhaps the burnt textbook that Orion lent to students whose families couldn't afford to buy one) was easily fixed with a simple spell, "Scourgify!" Orion cast, his wand waving in an 's' shape. The ink marks disappeared off of the stone floor, and the books flew up back into their rightful positions.

Orion could have rightfully given the pair detention twice over for what they had done, not only sneaking out past curfew, but also messing around in classrooms unchaperoned, and the destruction of property. Setting fire to the wrong object or cabinet could have caused a chain reaction that blew the entire room up.

Detentions took time and effort, and that was not something Orion was willing to do right now. He had no desire to give these children a drop of attention after they had interrupted his night and tried to destroy his personal property. "Do you lack common sense?" The French man growled at the two of them, his voice low and barely masking his rage, a far cry from his usual peppy tone. "My classroom is extremely dangerous. You could have killed yourselves." His usual warm sapphire eyes grew cold as he stared down at the two. "If I ever see you in my classroom outside of your class hours again, I will personally see to it that you are both expelled. GET. OUT. NOW."
