It was a rainy day, a rather dismal start for Audrey's first Transfiguration class. She heaved a sigh as she wandered through the rusty, old monument-like building that housed the classroom. The hallways were empty, and as she entered the room, she noticed only one other student: a girl sitting quietly in the middle of the class. Audrey checked her watch: fifteen minutes to ten. Well, she thought, I sure am early for the class.

After a brief hesitation, Audrey decided to sit next to the girl. She carefully turned her chair and arranged her books and stationery on the desk. Smiling warmly, she introduced herself. "Hello!" she said, trying to make a good first impression. "I'm Audrey, a Hufflepuff."

The girl glanced up briefly but remained silent. Unfazed, Audrey continued, hoping to strike up a conversation. "Mind if we become friends?" she asked, her voice friendly and inviting. "It seems like you have a great passion for Transfiguration, because that's my first impression of you," Audrey added with a grin, hoping to break the ice.

The girl looked at Audrey with a slight smile but didn't respond verbally. Audrey’s enthusiasm didn't wane. "Whoops, sorry, force of habit," Audrey muttered, realizing she might be coming on too strong.

Nonetheless, Audrey felt a connection with the girl. She adjusted her chair and prepared her materials for the class, occasionally stealing glances at her new companion. The girl's quiet demeanor intrigued her, and Audrey wondered what her story might be. As the clock ticked closer to ten, more students began to trickle into the classroom. Audrey felt a surge of anticipation for the lesson ahead. She had made an effort to reach out, and while the girl hadn't spoken, Audrey felt a sense of camaraderie forming. It seemed like her Transfiguration journey was off to a promising start, rain or no rain.

@Audrey Gallant At the back of the Transfiguration classroom, watching, was Zoe, another erstwhile pupil – also soft-eyed and bespectacled.
Zoe admired Audrey’s courage, which was uncommon to see in any Hogwarts classroom. For here was a girl who wasn’t afraid to reach out, to form friendships, and she was surely not scared to confess her affection for Transfiguration.

Her perpetual good cheer and reassuring warmth filled the room and cut through Zoe’s incivility with a comfort and kindness that Zoe actually liked. She liked Audrey’s bubbly personality.

In spite of her previous silence, Zoe sensed an alliance with Audrey. Her reaching out, and her obvious excitement, were to be welcomed. As the cellular room filled with more and more students, Zoe was looking forward to the lesson.
Zoe wondered with a thought, "I can not wait to talk to Audrey after class ends for today."

Once Audrey came, Zoe hoped that they would become friends. As the hand moved closer to the minute she wanted it to land on, Zoe looked ahead optimistically, hopeful of the kind of adventure that might ensue when Transfiguration started.
She saw the professor, his hands with his wands moving to transfigure a bug to a teacup-how wonderful!
Time passed, and when the professor was getting ready to say goodbye...
Zoe looked at the clock, its hands moving towards class ending for the day. I decided to talk to her unaware of the friendship we might have soon.
Zoe saw Audrey walking out and she caught up with her.
Zoe looked at her and smiled, a feeling of warmness, and said "Hi, my name is Zoe! I would love to become friends with you, Audrey."

Zoe said happily, "I wonder what are we going to learn soon in this magical classroom of Transfiguration too...would you like to study with me?[/b]

"Hi, my name is Zoe!" the girl finally responded. Audrey immediately heaved a sigh of relief. She thought this was going to be the most awkward day ever. But it changed. "I would love to become friends with you, Audrey," Zoe's miraculous, sweet voice travelled through the hallway. Audrey giggled. She knew that this was going to be fun. "That was way slower than I thought, but it's okay," Audrey replied sarcastically, then laughed. "Just kidding! Nice to meet you, Zoe!"

"Anyways, Zoe," Audrey exclaimed. "If there's any issue you're facing, feel free let me know!" She grinned, being as happy as a lark. It was then Zoe said, "I wonder what are we going to learn soon in this magical classroom of Transfiguration too... would you like to study with me?" Immediately, Audrey replied, "Sure! Perhaps we could study together at the library now, since I don't have any classes after this!"

Audrey then motioned for Zoe to sit down in the Transfiguration Classroom. She then grabbed her wand and started waving around. Swoosh! Swoosh! "Mind if I show you some tricks?" Audrey asked politely. Without waiting for a response, she raised her locked chest on her table. Filled with determination, she waved her wand and shouted, "Aberto!" The chest opened with a creak! She giggled as she took out her personal favourite Chocolate Frog Cards. She flipped her collection as she stopped on one. She took it out and handed her a Chocolate Frog Card that showed Rita Skeeter, a journalist. "Ta-da!" Audrey smiled. "Here's the surprise for you," "And no worries, I have duplicate copies of these!" she continued, trying to keep the pace.

After delivering the card to Zoe, she locked the chest, this time using a key. "Now it's your turn, Zoe," Audrey grinned at her. "I've shown you something, and now I want to see one of your possessions. This is one of the ways that I'd used to try to get along with new friends, so... yeah," She knew that time is ticking, and that the professor might ask them to leave soon, so she tried to be quick about this.

Zoe gasped, wide-eyed at the card as she took a closer look at it. The image of Rita Skeeter almost seemed to jump out at her from the paper. "Interesting person, this Rita Skeeter. I've heard about her quite a lot," Zoe muttered with fascination and turned to Audrey. "Thanks for this, Audrey. It's really cool!"

"Oh yes, I would certainly be delighted to exhibit something unusual that I possess," Zoe responded, her voice reflecting eagerness and pleasure. She put her hand inside the bag, skillfully rummaging through its items with her fingertips. A bright smile appeared on her face when she finally laid hands on the object she sought after.

"This," she murmured, her voice barely audible as though sharing a secret of utmost secrecy. From her pocket emerged a tiny golden item: a Golden Snitch. Its wings flapped delicately, almost as if dancing in a gentle wind. The Snitch sparkled under the light, its gleam mirroring the wonder evident in Audrey's gaze. "This is an artifact from my abode: a replication of the Gold Snitch found within Quidditch."

She handed the Golden Snitch to Audrey, who took it with a look of awe on her face. Audrey held it in her hand, her fingers gently tracing the delicate wings. She watched, mesmerized, as the Snitch’s wings fluttered, creating a soft humming sound that filled the room.

Zoe smiled, her heart filled with joy at Audrey’s reaction. “I’m glad you like it, Audrey. It’s one of my most treasured possessions. I thought it would be nice to share it with a new friend.”

As Audrey continued to admire the Golden Snitch, they sat in the Transfiguration Classroom, their friendship blossoming over shared experiences and treasured possessions. The room, filled with the magic of their newfound friendship, seemed to come alive around them. They knew that their time at Hogwarts was just beginning, and they were excited for the adventures that lay ahead. The promise of magic, mystery, and friendship hung in the air, as tangible as the Golden Snitch in Audrey’s hand. The day had started with uncertainty, but it was ending with the promise of many magical days to come.
