"Raven By the Fireplace"

Raven by the fireplace,

You whom bare so much loss. Deliver yourself a message as I speak to you.
You take flight under the rays of the sun yet you repel it with your black feathers. A birdsong is beautiful when it sings yet when you deny the choir, screeching solitude. You’re a raven but live like an owl, forever lost in the pages of the literary trove.

What you lack cannot be gained through ink. What you see is only half the picture. Observing when you don’t talk, perceiving when you don’t know, but open minded all the same. Your heart is open though you remain so sad. You’re silent because you’re scared but you’re kind because you care. You must not remove yourself.

Love isn’t one-sided. You cannot throw it away without throwing some to yourself. To be selfless you must be selfish. Love your “imperfections.” Enjoy the company of your fears. Otherwise forever succumb to your insecurities and hollow yourself out until you’re no more than a withering shell.

Raven by the fireplace, it’s not too late. If you spread your wings to the sun and soar with the doves then all will be saved. Otherwise should you remain in the dark you’ll fade with the morning dew and wither like the ashes of coal.

Make your blemishes beautiful.

Kept the melancholic feel with some ominous hope. I hope you like it!

“Procession of the Moon”
The dark is beautiful if you open your eyes to it,
A soft midnight welcomes a powerful force,
What can bring fear can also bring the fearless,
And no better than the guiding heiress,
La Lune… The moon herself.

On the 15th day she blessed her presence,
Arriving with a procession of stars in the cloudless abyss above,
As the branches sway in the summer breeze,
The leaves bow and bend between the trees,
Allowing the moon to gaze from her throne.

The veil of moonlight came down like an aurora,
An expanding nightlight glowing among the shrubs,
A blanket of light that brainwashes the shadows,
Turning them away from creatures from the gallows,
Standing to watch those who pass along the gravel.

The moon’s eye looks down as I walk along the silent stones,
The flowers sleep in their beds of starlight,
The fireflies along the water mimic the stars above,
Warmth from high and low like a gentle stove,
The moon watches over Mother Earth’s designs.

At the bridge the water is still,
The moon looks down at her pristine reflection,
The fullness mirrored, a cyclic whole,
Yin and yang of the soul,
Heaven and Earth worship the sun’s equal.

As night passes on to the incoming dawn,
My steps pick up pace as I chase the moon,
I say goodbye as it fades with its starlight chariot,
The carnival of stars bidding farewell until next merit,
Next full moon I await anxiously to meet the moonlight heiress once again.
