"It's not that chaotic at home. All five usually are well behaved especially when I am in a bad mood. So considerate!" Justin smiled. In reality, his siblings were terrified of angry Justin. Big brother angry Justin didn't play any games.
Justin began eating a long strip of perfectly cooked pork belly without cutting it. "I like food and working out. Currently at 66 pushups. Trying to hit 70 by summer," Justin flexed his muscles again. "Played basketball, volleyball, and football growing up. Oh. American football by the way."
"On my free time I like exploring works of fiction through books, comics, games, movies, shows, it doesn't matter as long as there is good fighting and a good story," Justin explained. "Also love music, NBA, and K-Dramas."
The Ravenclaw boy then took out large book from his bag. It was clearly handmade and a bunch of notes were coming out of it. "This is my personal encyclopedia of not just magical creatures but all living animals out there. Each animal I have encountered and studied myself. Mom's a zoologist you see. I think I got the fascination of animals from her."
He flipped through each page. There were all kinds of animals from tiny termites to blue whales. As a first-year Justin didn't have too much experience with magical creatures but if he did he wrote them down as well.
"My favorite subject?" Justin pondered. "Defense Against the Dark Arts. Something about that class is badass. I pay attention to it pretty closely."
Justin chuckled a wholesome laugh when Sere asked the third question.
"Fall for me. Something about cloudy skies and colored leaves that gives me so much rest," Justin smiled. He turned to look Sere in the eyes. "Curious one aren't ya?" Justin laughed. Boys his age in general, don't ask too many questions. It was a breath of fresh air to have someone asking for every detail.
"I guess naturally this is when I ask about your family, hobby, and subject," Justin smiled. "If I were to guess... only child?"

Date : May 5th, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Sere, who discovered that Justin has hobby in sports, immediately planning to ask the boy about what kind of sports that could increase stamina in the future. This boy's presence must be really helpful for her to get input regarding various sports, considering that she is quite ambitious in increasing her stamina for better performances in every duel.
Hearing that Justin also likes books, comics, and even showing his encyclopedia made her say, "I think my question should be changed. Is there anything that... you don't like?" Sere realized that Justin has so many things he likes to do.
Sere tilted her head to look at the encyclopedia in Justin's lap. This is not the first time for Sere to meet someone who likes animals and magical creatures, but in the case that the encyclopedia is even made by himself... This is definitely the first time, "Could I take a brief look on it?"
Sere looked at Justin, "As I thought. You absolutely like everything that shows strength and... What did you say earlier? Badass? Yeah, that badass side." The girl raised her brows, "I wouldn't be surprised if I find you using your muscles to get out of trouble," Sere cleared her throat. That was too straightforward! "I'm sorry! That was just my imagination. But... Please really do your best to not do that in the future."
The Gryffindor patted her forehead, "I'm talking too much... again," She muttered.
"You're right. I'm the only child. Is it that obvious?" Sere tried to summarized herself in a as-short-as-possible narratives, "Your parents have such interesting and enjoyable jobs, different from mine. Both of my parents are in business. My father is British with a drip of Korean blood while my mother is completely Korean. For my hobby, I like studying and reading books. That's all, because I don't have many options in terms of hobby. I don't even have the opportunity to know that much because... I wasn't even have friends that told my their hobbies back then. I prohibited to get along with almost all of my peers by my strict parents. Pathetic, isn't it?" Sere laughed in blues.
"My favorite subject was mathematics in my muggle school. Here in Hogwarts, I am still in the adjustment stage because the wizarding world is a really new thing for me. One thing that already clear is I hate memorizing. So I already have subject that I don't like," Sere folded her arms, "History of Magic. Like... How could that super-boring and too-much-homework subject even existed?" The girl rubbed her arms, getting goosebumps as she thought about all the History of Magic tasks.Interacting with : @Justin Shin

"School. I hate school." The boy glared at the pile of assignments he had finished that were sitting in his bag. "I'm burning every single one, once I get them graded," Justin mumbled to himself."I think my question should be changed. Is there anything that... you don't like?"
Sere then asked to take a glance at Justin's homemade encyclopedia. He handed the girl his project."Knock yourself out. I just added the giant squid in the Black Lake. Quite hard to spot it these days."
Justin smirked at Sere's comment.
"Didn't know you imagine my muscles in your mind like that," Justin teased."I wouldn't be surprised if I find you using your muscles to get out of trouble."
"I'm sorry! That was just my imagination.
As the Gryffindor girl slapped her own forehead, Justin chuckled and shook his head. "When you're friends, being annoying is a perk. You weren't annoying at all though, by the way. I like listening to my friends talk."
"Ya, you are a little wimp, huh," Justin began laughing out loud. "What are they going to do to you if don't listen. Disown you? Trust me. I break rules all the time. The worst you get is cleaning the whole restaurant by yourself and all the dishes, clean the poop of all the animals in the zoo and feeding them... you know what. It is pretty bad, huh?" Justin said as he shuddered at his past punishments."Pathetic, isn't it?"
"Maybe I should be more like you and follow some rules," Justin laughed out loud.
Sere then began showing her dislike in History.
"My friend Brookline really likes that class. I don't know why though. History is just learning how people in the past were just as terrible as people today," Justin chuckled.
The boy leaned back on his back on the picnic blanket, his sleeveless arms working as a pillow under his head.
"Great weather today. What kind of music you like listening to Sere?."
For You by Lee Hi and Crush begins playing on Justin's gramophone.

Date : May 5th, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said I never even thought about hating the school itself. He is truly... different. Of course not in the bad way. Sere remembered very well how Justin wanted to hand over all his graded assignment papers to Theo in the Great Hall the other day. Justin seemed really serious about hating school.
Received the self-made encyclopedia in her hands, Sere began to look at the pages one by one, read it briefly before turned to the next page, "It's a shame that we won't get the Care of Magical Creatures subject until our third year. You really have a high potential to be the best in class with this thing. Owh, and I suddenly want to see the Giant Squid with my own eyes." Sere looked up, interested in asking one other thing, "Do you want to have pet? We can take our pets to Hogwarts, do you know that?"
The thudding sound when Sere closed Justin's encyclopedia was heard so clearly, accompanied by the sound of her -for the umpteenth times- clearing her throat, "I wasn't imagined anything!" Sere closed her eyes, showing her firm answer. A second later, she opened one eye when she heard Justin called him as 'unobtrusive friend', "Thank you for your nicest words." Sere is also starting to think that all of Justin's random actions are quite fun. It's just that she needs a little -just a very little more- time to get used to it.
Sere couldn't help but grimace a little when she heard the Ravenclaw boy's words, which were so true. What will her parents do if she doesn't obey their words? Sere also doesn't know any other answer apart from being scolded. She just didn't have the courage and didn't have the eager to deliberately disobey them, perhaps until recently.
"No, no. I actually want to be like you, I mean... not always following the rules, but I don't want to do something where the consequence will clearly be a hassle for me." Sere lowered her voice on the next sentence, "Maybe not returning home during summer break could be considered quite a violation of the rules?" The girl plans to do it, considering about her relationship with her parents that has been quiet in chaos since the last Christmas. "But I don't know if I can do it."
Sere didn't know if she's gonna have a good relationship if she knows that Brookline that Justin talked about. This girl put the encyclopedia between herself and Justin, then changed her position to hug her knees while also looked up to the sky, "Umm... I don't listen to music, actually. I realized that I have absolutely zero points in art and music. How about you?" Sere heard to the music played from the gramophone "I think you have a wide range of music taste. Maybe pop -especially K-Pop- and ballads are what you enjoy the most recently. Just guessing based on the music you play.”
Sere fanned her face with her hand. It turned out that looking up at the rising sun for sometimes was really uncomfortable. How could he bear the sun's sting? Unbelievable. Justin Shin, indeed.
Sere decided to stand up, then she bowed 90°. In Korea, this gesture shows the highest respect and gratitude. "Thank you for the food and the chats! I really enjoyed it," The girl remembered some of Justin's jokes and let out a snort of laughter, "You are a so... kind." Sere then looked up at the bright sky once more, "I'll help you to clean everything up. The weather is getting hot and I think it's time to go back inside. I also have to treat my burns as soon as possible."
Overall, Sere enjoyed what they did today. Although there was an incident she made, it did not detract the essence of the conversation itself. The food was also delicious, truly a taste of home. Sere couldn't wait for another meeting and chat with Justin Shin to see how their relationship dynamics would grow.Interacting with : @Justin Shin
