The drink… it was okay, perhaps the first time she tasted this certain beverage as her go to is always pumpkin juice. But perhaps she spoke too soon, thinking that nothing was wrong with it as it sure didn’t have the same weird effect as that drink back in that cookie decorating event. “That was nice.” Her voice sounded different, higher than normal, like a soft squeak. That made her cover her mouth with her free hand, cursing in her mind as she paused to take in this situation that she had fallen into.

Yes, she shouldn’t have let her guard down just because her companions were okay earlier. What was she thinking? It wasn’t just her though, Alyssea seems to have gotten the same condition as her and all she could do was stare at her. With how hard it is for the Hufflepuff to communicate with them through words, she expects herself to struggle as well. “This is unfortunate…” All she could say now was her usual catchphrase whenever things go wrong. Well, at least it’s not as bad as her last experience… right?

She shook her head, not intending to finish the drink she just had as she doesn’t want to risk it anymore. Who knows what else could happen and she won’t be drinking anything else. “Okay, this is weird…” she said, trying to say it coherently as much as possible despite her struggles. “Bloody hell… looks like both of us got the same weird drink.” she answered Alyssea just as she looked towards Zach to see if he’s doing okay. Out of the three of them, he’s the one that’s been gulping down food and some of those were spiked as well or suddenly becoming sentient.

As the tempo of the music surged, so too did the beat of his heart. Throbbing in time with the melody, it heightened his senses further to the frolicking visions around him. His eyes were feverish, darting from one destination to the next, as though searching for his prey. But the Wolf had no desire to hunt tonight; only to watch, and to listen.

With a thump his heart danced.
With a thrum the music sang.
The celebration played on.

A collection of voices lingered in close proximity to where he stood, emanating from a small group near the table. He paid them little heed, yet couldn’t help overhearing bits of their discourse. Something of odd names and drinks, along with words spoken in a tongue he failed to recognize.
How was it, he wondered, that wolves could speak with lions, lions with tigers, and tigers with bears? Oh my.
Perhaps a temporary grace offered by the celestial bodies overhead, granted for this singular night of natural upheaval.

The upheaval continued as his thoughts were rent from him by one of the voices from before, now aimed directly at him.
”And you, too, yes?”
The face he turned to see was not bestial like the others, its features curving more the way of humanity, with but a sliver of material encompassing azure irises. Fair skin made up a face composed in gentle cheer, dusted with makeup that complimented her attire. She spoke to him with a touch of familiarity, though he knew not her identity.
The question she’d asked would be greeted with confusion, as his attention had wandered from the words that might have given context.
”Me too?” Was his response, followed by a light shrug. ”Yes.” A fleeting concurrence he assumed was relevant to some point she was attempting to make with her peers. Who was he to disagree?
But she did not return to the conversation with renewed fervor as he’d expected; rather, she stepped away, moving down the table until she acquired a number of drinks. It wasn’t until she presented him with a full glass that he understood the meaning of her question.

”Oh…” The word of realization came and trailed away. He hesitated, then reached slowly for the offering, taking it from her grasp. ”I didn’t… I mean, thank you.”
Offering a small nod, he turned his attention to the glass now in his hand, and the liquid within. Carbonation bubbled to the surface, a single sniff revealing its sweet scent. Lowering the beverage away from his nose, the Wolf eyed it with a sense of cynicism. It wasn’t unheard of for refreshments at these events to be magically spiked, as it were, wreaking varied amounts of havoc upon their consumers. In fact, it was rather common.
That in mind, he refrained from partaking for the moment, watching keenly as the strange girl sipped from her own glass, along with the other figure @Anthony Kingsmage to whom she’d gifted a drink. If they were to ingest theirs and suffer no adverse affects, then he would consider doing the same himself.

He hadn’t always been a skeptic. But it seemed certain individuals had rubbed off on him throughout the years, for better or worse.

No. Not him. He was the Wolf, and nobody else. This was his domain, where he would remain vigilant despite the apparent benevolence of higher powers on this eve. Not reared by nor belonging to another, he was his own, and nothing would be allowed to change that fact.

”How are the drinks?” he wondered, addressing each member of the small group nearby. @Evelynn Decipio as Greta Fransson, Anthony Kingsmage, @Anastasia Varney as Astrid Olsen
Still on the small gathering’s outskirts, his gaze favored the girl who had deemed fit to include him. He was uncertain as to why she had done so, but surely it would be rude to accept a beverage and proceed to ignore her. Besides, direct conversation would make it easier to watch for any effects overtaking them. Hazel eyes bore a watchful quality as he looked between the lot, the glass conspicuously still in his hand.
Action: Speaking to Greta, Anthony & Astrid. Not drinking the berry spritzer.

Kaya smiled as she understood and somehow agreed with Yasha's words. I agree. But if you are in a competition against someone you care about, it might distract if something happens to one of you. And sometimes actions in a game can be taken personally, which will affect relationship between them. She guessed it was easier between guys. They seemed to bound together more in something like that, but for most of the girls, it would be hard. And, unfortunately, some spells against the same person or some damaging actions repeatedly, will have a high chance of making even the winner less happy about winning. On the other side, competition against Yasha would let Kaya see how he is winning or losing, if he's damaging someone, how he reacts during the game and after it. However, Kaya felt confident that he was a good person.

As she giggled from his actions with her mask and later, she replied, laughing. That's certainly no.
As she looked at his mask, she got intrigued if the choice of mask was intentionally similar to representing animal or accidentally. Holding his hand briefly before they resumed dancing felt unexpectedly nice, which caught Kaya by surprise. Although this was an astonishing feeling and she liked it a lot.

Let's move to crafting area. If you want, we can return to dancing later or decide to do something else. She smiled enthusiastically. It was a hobby she did only for bestie and herself up until this moment. So, Kaya felt excited to try crafting for him. Would he like it? She will discover soon.

There he was, holding a glass of green things. First gulp, he still survived. Second gulp, he still survived. Nothing really happened. Then he drank the rest of it in one go without any doubt. The next thing he felt was the fresh feeling that he had never felt before. It was like a flood of energy filled him in a very short time. His eyes was beaming with excitement and eventually he hummed a little bit before he heard The Bobcat speaking.

"What happened with your voice?" he asked with excitement. Well, he was actually concerned but the energy blocked the negative emotion. Then he heard The Wolf's voice which was turned squeakingly high. "You too?!" he exclaimed. A chuckle released from his mouth. Why he was laughing? Zach himself didn't know. "I guess you two got the wrong drink. Mine is just a regular drink. Nothing happened to me, really," he said, didn't realize that his drink was actually spiked with some weird stuff.

His eyes caught the dance floor. Something whispered at him that some jive could be fun. "I think it's time for us to dance," he said with a grin blooming weirdly on his face. "The music felt right for us to dance jive. What do you think?" he asked. But he didn't care to wait for too long. He grabbed the Wold and the Bobcat's hand and pulled them both to the dance floor. "Jive is easy. Just kick like this and like this and use your hands like this," The Fox instructed both his friends to dance like him.

"I've seen him around, mainly the instigator for troubles I've seen around the castle. Let's just say he won't be my friend anytime soon..."

Percy was still being very careful with what he was saying. There was a chance he had already said too much and caught on, but for now, he could only hope she didn't put two and two together and figure out it was him. Right now, Gray didn't want any drama coming his way. He had just come out of self isolation, the least he wanted was a furious Winnie screeching the ball down in absolute disgust from what she had got herself into. Thankfully, speaking Irish seemed to keep her interested and surprisingly sweet.

"Sin greannmhar, tá mé a mhalairt. In ionad mo mháthair, tá Béarla ag m’athair" "That's funny, I'm the opposite. Instead of my mother, my father is English" he replied with a warm smile as they both swayed calmly to the music "Sin mar an gcéanna liomsa. Gach uair a thugamar cuairt nó a thug siad cuairt labhair mé i nGaeilge i gcónaí, agus an chuid is mó den am ba ghnách linn a bheith ag canadh le chéile sa teanga freisin" "That's the same with me. Every time we visited or they visit I always spoke in Irish, and most of the time we used to sing together in the language too" he said proudly with fond memories going through his head. Percival missed those days, they didn't do it often enough anymore.

After briefly booping her nose he released a small chuckle "You're certainly not a dog, you can trust me on that" the boy said with a pat on the head just to tease her further "In all honesty I like to have my privacy. Plus, I don't think you'd like to know a kid like me..." he said before going silent and sighing. It was almost guaranteed the moment he lifted that mask she was going to flip out. Things were fine the way they are now, peaceful and calm for once.

"Don't get me wrong, you're a good girl Winnie. I just don't want to ruin both of our nights when everything seems so perfect at this moment"

I put my hands behind my head a relaxed.
"Then you are muggle-born or half-blood. I have never seen a Thoroughbred student who knows how to play football. Can you say something in Spanish?" asked Victoria.
"I'm a half-blood but I didn't know I was a wizard until my 11th birthday." I replied. I personally think blood purity doesn't matter and have nothing against muggle-borns. Unless you're an absolute prick. Other than that I think we're all the same.
"Of course, ¿Hola, como estas? It means 'Hello, how are you'.
My lips felt a bit dry so I took a swig of my fruit punch to put some liquid on my lips. That wasn't an easy task when floating in the air. I spilled some onto my shirt. The flowers were very beautiful and everything's looking perfect so far at this ball.
"Yeah, it's very pretty. Could you maybe send one of your drawings to me? I need something to decorate my dorm." I asked.
"The fox mask suits you very well, by the way. It's like an animal ball in here. It would be very interesting though."
I laughed at the thought of animals walking around eating and drinking. It seemed so ridiculous but I constantly get reminded that we're in the wizarding world and a animal ball could happen.
I would love to get to know more about my new friend though.
"What do you like to do Victoria?" I asked

Ying was happy to see the glint of happiness that showed in the boys dark eyes when she asked if he was a quidditch player. But She did not expected the answer that followed that, she somehow expected to hear some enthusiasm about the 'broom sport of hell', but his answer came as a surprise, reflecting the complete opposite sentiment. "Oh thank goodness, no." he said, and Ying raised her eyebrows questioningly and surprised by his words.

"They train above the ocean?" She asked in astonishment, her tone letting him know that she felt a hint of admiration for the Asian team. She realized this and quickly regretted the way she had asked… but she had to admit that it was the truth. And even if she still continued to feel that feeling of injustice and unfairness for everything that happened during the match, she would have to be truly blind not to recognize their talent for the sport. "So...you're afraid of flying? Or is just the idea of having the ocean right below you?" She asked a little bit too sussy, but she couldn't be left as the only one letting escape such embarrassing confessions, even if untold, she instinctively used her words to deflect attentions and...regretted even more "Shut up Ying." She scolded herself in her mind while her pretty face kept showing the sweetest, innocent smile she could have managed.

Ying followed Akira's lead and also decided to put the mask back on, while hearing him talk about his dueling experience. "hum..." she mused, "maybe its not that adventurous but you definitely have to have an immense talent for spells and to evade those coming your way." She acknowledge with a nod and a small smile, "You must be very good at it, if you think it so predictable. I've experienced some spells while dueling that I really didn't enjoy!" She joked giving a small chuckle, "And I also can tell by experience that you get used to the feeling of falling from your broom! I don't know if recognizing that is not the most scariest thing..." She finished in a conclusive way that made her pause and rummage around that idea for a few more moments before answering to his question, "I..." She stuttered, searching for the best and truest answer to give him. In fact, she had never given it much thought, "Yes, I would say that...I fell in love for the sport when I first heard about it. First for the whole strategy involved but ultimately I found out I like the thrill of flying through all those obstacles and be able to find my way out of each challenge." She said and at each word her eyes shone a tone brighter, it was clear where her passion stood, she liked her sport with all her heart.

As a muggleborn, broom sports, duelling, spells, magic, everything in the Wizarding world felt like taken out of a fairytale the first time she heard of it. She remembered having the sensation of entering one of her books and being the protagonist of one of those incredible adventures when she found herself crossing that brick wall at King's Cross Station for the first time. Now, in her second year it already felt real, she felt more familiar with all of this new world, but still, she still wasn't able to shake the feeling that she wasn't fully part of it yet. Many parts of her were still tied to the muggle world and she knew deep down that she would never be able to completely leave it and that the magical world would remain a mystery for a long time until she could fully call it her home. So when Shimizu asked about her and Bea's thoughts about Hogwarts, she once again had to sort out through her mixed feelings and thoughts not being able to give him a straight answer without taking a moment to think about what to say. "Imagine a ball and a camp every week!" Ying softly laughed, "Who would survive that I wonder?" she said sarcastically. Everyone knew how a deadly disaster always tended to happen during these events, it was a mystery in itself how people still continued to attend them… including her. "But my own experience at Hogwarts has been...overwhelming, challenging and the best thing that happened in my life. I want to be a healer so I'll make sure I'll always do my best. What about you? Do you both know what do you want to do in the future?" She asked towards Beatrice and Akira openly smiling at them.

Ying could see that something big was happening, especially when with a loud sound the earth split open and that giant elk was sucked into it after Miss Sabo's spell. But that just gave her one more reason to want to get out of there. It was a relief realizing that both her companions agreed with her and all decided to go away and finally entering the stadium. "Yes, let's move to the main ball!" Ying told Bea and started to head towards the Stadium gates. "Aigh, Akira will be!" She said happily to the boy when he said she could call him by his first name, "Let's find something to drink!"

Entering the Stadium had a whole awe effect on her. Tall trees were framing the path with beautiful and colorful different shapes and flowers, each one carrying more beauty then the other...It gave her the sensation she was entering a magical forest, somehow expecting little fairies to fly her way and around the entire place. A bright smile got glued to her face all the way towards the refreshments tables, "Yeah, I can definitely have something." She told Akira while she picked a Strawberry ginger faux-jito and gave a small sip on her drink, "Hmm...this is awesome" She admitted, "What do you say to all this? I mean...it's beautiful isn't it?" She asked her two friends looking around and taking in all her surroundings.

welcome to the new way of livin' - it's just the beginning of lavish

Greta greeted her joyously in their native language, Norwegian. Val and Romeo were with her earlier but they didn't follow. Had Astrid seen them on her way here? She wasn't sure. The boy was indeed a Hogwarts' first year, named Anthony Anthony. Weird name, but who was she to judge. And then, when the girl wanted to respond, tell Greta she unfortunately hadn't seen the two boys, she couldn't. Words mixed in her mind and when she tried to speak, she said something like
See no what?

Astrid sighed and looked at her drink. Why did she trusted those again? Lifting her glass to her eyes to examinate the content, she didn't hear Greta proposing to go grab drinks for Anthony, herself, and the newcomer, a wolf-masked guy. There was obviously some kind of babbling potion in that drink. Maybe even in all the drinks. The girl didn't remembered if drinks and food were poisoned the years before. Greta came back with three drinks and starting drinking her italian cream soda. The wolf just stared at his, a wise gesture. When he asked how where the drinks, Astrid just shook her head in negation.
What weird like. Quidditch smart.

She was making no sense right now. Her drink must have contained some kind of babbling potion. She looked warily at Greta, wondering if her soda was altered too. She pointed the drinks of the four people of the group, took another sip because the drink was good and the damage was done, and made a cross with her arms to indicate that the others shouldn't drink. She didn't want to speak nonsense again.

If there was a competition for best dressed villain, he has a good chance of winning. His simple sleek black pair of collared shirt and pants held together by a belt. Adorning his main look, is his knee long jacket with delicate yet intricate patterns on the front and back. Fitting his tall intimidating figure.

His mask resembled a crow. Hiding his eyes under shadows. The short beak stopped just above his nose. It will be difficult to tell what his eyes looked like. But his energy (Terrible Presence ability) leaves more people unnerved instead of curios.

Japanese / English

Your… stepfather said that..?” he furrowed his eyes behind his mask, pondering deeply on her words. Or better yet- why she looked even more frustrated than him. They had only met through an incident. Didn’t even know her name. There was no need for her to rush in an attempt to dispel the deep-rooted self-deprecation of his thoughts. He was not looking for an assurance of a different variation to the symbolism of crows. He does not hate himself per se, but he often falls into the trap of highlighting his flaws as facts. But it was a puzzle still. Now, he wasn’t the best puzzle solver in general. But confounding nonetheless that it felt easier to believe her. This puffed cheek, tiny, transparent girl, whose name he didn’t even know. And yet he found himself wanting to believe her, even just for a short moment. “He seems wise..” he mumbled, a tinge of respect in his gruff tone. “ You are..like the same. Thank you for your words,” he said, finally. Hoping his sincerity in his appreciation for her words would show just enough. “Now..let us..release your foot” he stated, focusing back on her. Her mind was oddly fresher from their conversation.

Once she was on her foot, Sara held out his hand for support but tried to leave her standing on her own. He stabilised his own footing and eventually brought his hands back to his sides, giving a curt nod to her victorious cheer. He brought his hands together to give her a soft clap. His lips twitched slightly, almost like a smirk. If anyone else saw him, he probably looked more sarcastic than genuine. But the tension in his shoulders dispersed, and his chest swelled in joy, seeing her free and so happy. It will always feel good to be smiled at. With no hint of fear in her eyes.

That short-lived sense of relief was shattered the next moment when she examined her foot. “ T-twisted..” he mumbled in Japanese, the tinge of worry seeped into her tone as his shoulders tensed and he wore a deep frown. Before he could panic further, she explained and he felt a cold breath leave between his lips. However at the mention she could walk it off, he firmly shook his head. “ No walking. I carry. “ he insisted curtly, almost guise as an order due to the persistence. His worry overrides any sort of his previous shyness. The last thing he wanted was for her to injure herself more.
If she didn’t stop him sternly, …
he would pick her up gently from the ground. His forearm was under her knees, the other supporting her back before lifting her up. Making sure she didn’t feel restrained by the way he carried her. He didn’t waste time before he walked to the bench and settled her down.
If she insisted she could walk,...
Sara frowned for a brief moment but nodded in understanding, not wanting to push her. He offered his arm for her to hold on to in case she needed it and offered another hand for her to hand her safety kit. “ I understand. Let me hold your kit. Focus on being less hurt. Please”, He insisted again but this time far gentler, less in a commanding way. He could be at ease so long as she was careful. After her answer, he would walk her slowly to the bench. Paying attention to her foot, and matching her pace patiently.
Whichever way he helped her to the bench, he decided to speak up, taking a step back and watching her. “ Your safety kit. It is smart for you to bring it,” he commented, the idea of healing her injury also flying out of his mind at the moment. He was not the most connected to his magic, as a muggle born. Not even the sport he played involved magic of any form. He was much better at breaking rocks and knocking off people's brooms than healing with magic.

As the beautiful Ravenclaw kept “people watching”, she got bored of it. Very bored. Brooke got up from her chair and walked over to the refreshments. She took a sparkling cucumber limeade and a crumpet and began walking slowly back to her table.

Ughh.. This has to be the more boring ball ever she thought, knowing her parents ’ balls weren't this boring. She looked around, seeing a few people levitate in the sky, as they placed the animals masks on their faces. She looked around and saw more people entering.

Brooke was thinking about leaving but she persuaded herself not to because she didn't want to leave her first school ball. She turned her head and saw people drinking drinks. Her gaze flicked when she saw a glance of her table.

When she got to her table, she sat down, “people watching ” again. “People watching ” is fun but she wished she could socialize. Maybe I should just make the first move, Brooke thought, almost considering it.

But she didn’t. She did stand up though, drink in hand while the crumpet in the napkin stayed lonely on the table, Brooke stood up watching the dance floor. It was better than “people watching” but all she wanted to go was to go to her dorm and sleep but her legs wouldn’t let her.
