Tick. Tock. Tick. I couldn’t sleep. Here and there, the alarm clock was ticking away as it counted one second after another. The sound was considerably loud. This was sent by my muggle grandparents, whom I adored very much. They were very kind to me, and supported me as I am a witch.
Though I wished that they had not sent this ‘important present’ to me. It was ticking away madly and so I sleep. Feeling tired, I covered my ears with my little hands, but the sound still hovered in the holes I had not managed to cover. It felt like I was not going to be able to sleep at all that night. So unfair.
Right. An idea suddenly ticked on my head. Why had I been so unfamiliar with muggle technology? I thought. Suddenly rummaging my alarm clock, I found a button that allows you to shift off and on the clock. Ahhh! That was exactly what I needed.
Turning the clock off, I put it on my bedside. It wasn’t like I was always late to wake up, though. There seemed like there was no need for it. Slowly, I closed my eyes, ready to fall asleep, which would bring me into my world of dreams.
