Time for the sorting completed PV Audrey Gallant

As Audrey reached the Great Hall, she trudged with her newfound friends Giselle and Brookline. Nervously glancing at the faces of the two, Giselle then turned to Audrey, and asked, ‘Which house do you want to be in? I hope that I’m going to be in Hufflepuff, the house of the loyal.’ Without waiting for Audrey’s answer, Giselle continued, ‘I really do hope that we will be in the same house with Brooke, as a trio. That would be so much fun! We could spend a lot of time together!’ Audrey thought, I wanted to be in Gryffindor, just like my brother.

"Hmm... I'm okay with any House, just not Slytherin. My mum wouldn't accept that," Audrey said as a-matter-of-factly. She was about to continue chatting when the deputy headmistress announced, "Lam, Giselle," She smiled at her, "Just go. I believe in you," As Giselle puts the sorting hat on her head, Audrey wondered, will she be in Hufflepuff? Or Ravenclaw? Or Gryffindor? As she was trying to find all sorts of reasons for each House, the Sorting Hat announced, "HUFFLEPUFF!" she clapped loudly, happy for her.

It didn't take a long time before her name was called out. "Gallant, Audrey," Nervously, Audrey climbed up the stairs, thinking: this will determine my wizarding future. As she wore on the hat, she thought to herself, here we go.

"Hmm... interesting," the Sorting Hat whispered. "I will give you two choices: Hufflepuff and Gryffindor," she began thinking fast, if she were to choose Gryffindor, she would be in the same house as her dearest brother. On the other hand, if she chose Hufflepuff, she would be joining her friends that meant a lot to her. After thinking for a while, she whispered, "Hufflepuff," Audrey couldn't just leave Brook and Giselle. Especially Giselle. The Sorting Hat then replied, "Interesting... Very well," there was a pause. "HUFFLEPUFF!"

Her heart went darting around like a hare escaping from its prey. Noticing her friends rooting and supporting for her, she ran down the stairs to join the Hufflepuff Common Table. In her opinion, she'd made a wise choice.

Giselle then thought for a moment.

‘I haven’t told you all about my life before hogwarts, you know. I was bullied, always bullied, by muggle kids. They were the worst. Criticising my family!’

Giselle’s voice shook at the thought of that. She disliked them, and she still does now, she really does.

After Giselle had been sorted, into her dream, house, Hufflepuff, she waited for Audrey and Brooke to come join her in the Hufflepuff table. She really hoped both of them would.

As the sorting hat cried Hufflepuff for Audrey, Giselle clapped really hard. She was extremely happy that she had gone into the same house as her! There was still to wait for Brooke, though.

Disappointment rang through Giselle when she heard the sorting crying out Ravenclaw for Brooke. She had soooooo much hoped that the three of them would get into the same house, Hufflepuff, as a trio.

Stay on the positive side, Giselle told herself firmly. She could still meet her anywhere else in hogwarts, just not in the common room. Maybe the three of them could go to Hogsmeade using the fake permission form!

‘Audrey, do you have a fake permission form? With that, we could visit Hogsmeade together at weekends! I’ll lend you one if you don’t!’ ‘I think Brooke does, though. We could always meet together there! And buy a lot of cool things!’

After being sorted out with Giselle and Brook, Audrey heaved a sigh of disappointment as Brook wasn't Hufflepuff. Or rather, she was Ravenclaw. On the bright side, they could still message each other and stay in contact, even though in different houses.

Just then, Giselle interrupted her train of thoughts. 'Audrey,' Giselle started. 'Do you have a fake permission form? With that, we could visit Hogsmeade together at weekends! I'll lend you one if you don't!' I shuffled around my pockets, just to find only 7 Galleons - which would only be enough for one - but at the same time is not a wise choice for me to use up the money. 'I think Brooke does, though. We could always meet together there! And buy a lot of cool things!'

'Well, the problem is that I only have 7 Galleons, so even if one of us lends me a fake permission form, I don't think I would be able to buy things,' Audrey said matter-of-factly. 'Are there any ways to earn more money? In fact, how did you get that much money?' She then thought again, this time rephrasing her words, "How about all three of us save up for next Sunday 26/5/2024? Then not only will we get more money, we'll also get to go shopping together!"

Giselle chuckled, then lowered her voice.

‘You have enough money! The fake permission form only costs six galleons! I’ll ask my parents for more money for us three to go to Hogsmeade together.’

‘Well, I think that it’s quite a long event, so it would probably be better if I shorten it up to tell you how I got the fake permission form. You can’t buy it now, not that we’re at hogwarts already, cause it’s at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. I’ll ask my parents for one though, I promise. I’ll write to them a letter tomorrow.’

In case she’s wondering, just tell her how come you got it, she told herself.

You know, My sister and I loved pranks. We played pranks together when we were children, on muggle kids. That was part of the reason they hated me and my family. Mum and dad then thought that we would like Weasley’s Wizard wheezes, the shop which sold pranks and jokes at the leaky cauldron. We went there about once a week. Sadly, when got my hogwarts letter, Evanna didn’t. She got the Beauxbatons letter. You know, the visit to Diagon alley at huge from our family is to celebrate me leaving for hogwarts and Evanna for beauxbatons. My parents bought me the fake slip to celebrate that for my leaving present.’

‘Anyways, I think they’d be more than happy to give you a fake slip. That way, we could visit Hogsmeade together!’

The food suddenly appeared on the plates.

‘It’s time to eat’, said Giselle.
