Reyna was so happy she couldn’t even describe it. Just a few days ago, she had received a huge package by owls. It contained a broom. Not just any broom. The one she had been eyeing for several months now. The silver arrow.
It was an amazing but really expensive broom. And she had just gotten it. From her parents as a late gift for winning her broom races. Now it was late March, it was nice and sunny with a slight bit of wind. The perfect weather to ride it.
So here she was out here today at the training pitch ready to ride it. She needed practice and she was hoping someone could help her with that. Or she could do that on her own. She would practice on her own first.
The getting on part was easy. Now, she needed to practice some tricks. She began to fly and start with some loops. It felt different. Like smoother but harder? She wasn’t sure how to describe it. Reyna had been hoping that it would be the same. But it seemed not.
Instead, she would need more work and practice. Maybe it would be easier if she had someone to teach her. Maybe. Maybe she would get lucky and she would find someone to help her out. So for now she was waiting.

Mellani entered the grounds like she had been doing almost everyday, ready to train for the next quidditch match. She was determined to win what would be her third match, and this time she was going to practice to make sure that nothing went wrong.
Mellani had been using the Silver Arrow for all her quidditch matches and she was pretty sure it was one of the best brooms out there. For the first time in a few days, Mellani noticed another person. She seemed the same age, and Mellani was pretty sure that she had seen her around during classes.
The girl was a Hufflepuff, and she also seemed to be using a Silver Arrow, though she looked like she was struggling with it a lot like Mellani had during her first few days with the broom. Mellani knew that her next match was with the Hufflepuff team, and this gave her an opportunity to observe her opponent while also helping them. Though the other girl might belong to the opposite team, Mellani really wanted to help her learn how to ride the broom properly so that she would not hurt herself during the match.
"Hey! You look like you could use some help with that broom", she said, offering to help the girl.

Reyna had gotten up and was giving herself another shot at the broom. She was still struggling so she didn't think this was a great use of her time. However, she then heard the voice of a girl calling at her saying that she could help.
I smiled. This was exactly what I needed. Help. I needed to learn how to use my broom. I managed to land properly and stood next to the girl. She was from Slytherin if I could recall and I saw her occasionally with Linda my bestie. I knew her I just couldn't pick up from where.
"Thank you so much!!" I exclaimed, "I'm Reyna Evergreen, 2nd year Hufflepuff and I'm a broom racer. I just got a new Silver Arrow and I need some help and getting used to of this broom before I have the next match... Sorry I forgot to ask you! What's your name?"
I was kind of ranting but honestly I was just relieved someone had come to help me. And I was thankful. And plus she seemed nice so hopefully she wouldn't judge me and could help me. She also seemed experience. A quidditch player maybe. Not a broom racer since I had never encountered her in races. Either way it worked. Or I really hoped it would work, or else the next broom race was going to be an epic fail.
