Main Family Branch

Lorenzo Romano is far from a kind person, and the embodiment of traditional blood purist beliefs. Born a triplet and the second-born son of one of Italy's more well-known pure-blooded families. He and his elder brother by only an hour were always in contest for who would be the next heir to the family. With stronger magical prowess and more achievements, his father named him the heir. Lorenzo is a hardworking man who praises himself for his ability to get quick results. He is decisive and honest, to the point of being abrasive and unwilling to change his mind on something after he’s made a decision. Impassive and strict even to his own family at times, there’s no denying that he is intimidating even in his best moods. He is cold and distant even to his own family, the expectations being his wife and grandson Nico. The only two in the family that know his kindness, his own sons and daughters would deny any ounce of kindness that could possibly exist within his cold heart. If a family member tries to preach against the traditionalist values the family was founded on, he has them disowned and cut off. Lorenzo has no need for a family that will only sully the Romano name. He was the one who decided to move the family from Rome to London.

Lorenzo Romano ~ Nonno (Grandfather), Head of Family ~ Birthday - August 14th, 1966 ~ Age - 57

Born into the Italian pureblooded Accardi family, in Rome, Italy. Aurora was never one to be a successor with her two elder brothers present. Homeschooled from a young age she learned three different languages growing up. English, to be able to communicate universally or almost universally. Italian, as it is where she lived and grew up, and her family's ancestry. The third language she learned was French. As a French pureblooded family was recently married into the family. To strengthen the family's connections and make it more prominent an arranged marriage was proposed between her and the second son of the Romano family, Lorenzo. They were engaged when she had turned 18. Shortly wedded after. Together they had three children, their first born daughter, their first-born son, and their second child; the current heir to the family. And their youngest son. Like the old saying says opposites attract, Aurora is a kind woman with bountiful patience. Much like her husband she is hardworking, she leads with a mix of sternness and emotional drive. She's quick to jump to conclusions and always sugarcoats her words, expect her to talk behind your back if she does not like you.

Aurora Accardi-Romano ~ Nonna (Grandmother) ~ Birthday - September 12th, 1967 ~ Age - 56

The second child and first-born son of Lorenzo and Aurora Romano. When his brother was born around five years after him he expected to compete with him for the title of family heir. As per the Romano family tradition stated between the sons of the main branch. However, he grew close with his brother. When his brother was disowned and placed up for adoption after the realization of being a squib Vito has held nothing but hatred towards his father. And bitter resentment towards his mother for allowing this to happen to his brother. He hasn't voiced it and never will, out of fear for himself and now for his family, his sons being caught off with him if he ever did. He's always had trouble with his eldest son Luca, the boy was rebellious and loudmouthed. Adamant about his own beliefs of being against the family's traditional views. Out of fear of his son being cutoff from the family line by his father, and with the agreement of his sister. He sent Luca to live with his aunt Vittoria.

❝Rather reserved, Nico is a socially awkward and anxious boy with ADHD. Easily seen as the quiet kid or a loner he has a hard time putting himself out there and struggles with picking up on social cues. Around family and close friends, he's more energetic and playful, going off ranting about his own special interests for hours on end if they let him. He's stubborn to the point where it's almost impossible to make him change his mind and loyal to a fault. He has a strong sense of justice and morals he believes he needs to withhold at all times no matter the cost, causing him to be hypocritical at best. He struggles with apologies, always wanting to come across as genuine. Yet focusing too much on how his wording could be wrongly interpreted and twisted against him. He places family and friends on a pedestal, willing to do anything for them. ❞

First Instance of Accidental Magic:

Growing up in a magical household and knowing magic existed, Nico expected his first incident of accidental magic to be much sooner in his life than when it was. Hearing the tales from his grandparents and parents of their own incidents when they were around 5 and six. Nico wasn't expecting his own to happen two years after he had turned six years old. The eight-year-old in a fit of rage had unknowingly made half the plates in the cupboards shatter without ever laying a finger on them. Since then he had purposefully tried to make something magical happen, even if he knew it was to no avail. He was always unsuccessful and never did seem to make anything magical happen again after that.

Pre-Hogwarts History:

Nico is an Italian pure-blood, and the first generation in his family born in London, England. His father Vito Romano, mother Chiara Romano, and grandfather and grandmother; Lorenzo and Aurora respectfully. Had moved together as a family to London in pursuit of a new home, new opportunities, and new beginnings. Nico was born on August 24th, 2012, two years apart from his older brother Luca. Who, always the problem child, was sent to live with their uncle and aunt back in Verona, Italy. Homeschooled his entire life, as his mother and father worked through the days he was taught by his grandfather and grandmother. His grandmother took on more basic education lessons like mathematics, reading, and science, teaching Nico English. When speaking to Nico she only ever spoke in the lingua franca. Whilst his grandfather taught him their family's history, the history of the wizarding world, and anything magical you could think of, along with teaching Nico Italian. Much like how his grandmother only ever spoke English to him, his grandfather only ever spoke Italian to the growing boy. He grew up the closest to his grandfather. He turned to the strict but surprisingly kind man whenever he had nightmares or needed guidance. His grandfather never truly judged him, he may not have provided words of comfort but he was always there for Nico. Some of his most comforting memories are the nights he spent in his room after a nightmare, his grandfather sitting in a chair promising not to leave him alone only until after Nico had fallen asleep.
