“Hi, Giselle, I'm Brookine, ” Brooke smiled at the new girl who walked her compartment. “Thanks!” she added when Giselle offered her a popsicle.

Brooke smiled warmly as Giselle told her about herself, talking about exploding snap and her family. She nodded and returned the high five.

“Well, I have a large family, an older sister, two younger sisters which are both 8 and two little brothers who are a pain in the ass,” Brooke giggled, her Welsh accent thick and loud. “My family and I, we live in Wales, and I like it there,” she added, her smile not fading at all.

She told the girl they could play a game later, since Brooke wanted a nap. Naps were Brooke's favorite, and sleeping gave her time to think and recharge. She rearranged her low bun and fell in a light sleep.

When she awoke, the train was on a bridge. Shee! Bump! Bump! The train said as they raced along the tracks. “Ok, Giselle, yeh still wanna play exploding snap?” Brooke asked, yawning and stretching. I'm low key tired right now, right now,her brain told her as she rubbed the sleep out of her flickering blue eyes which now held small golden specks.

As the train went north, the atmosphere turned colder and chillier. Suddenly, a witch who was pushing a large trolley filled with delectable treats came inside the compartment and said, ‘Anything off the trolley, dears?’ Giselle then asked for two pumpkin pasties and a few chocolate frogs. She paid the bill and took the sweets. She was going to share some with Brooke. As she waited, Brooke finally woke up. Giselle smiled.

‘Do you want these? They’re tasty. I’ve just bought them off the trolley.’

Hearing Brooke’s words, Giselle smiled.

‘Well, that is if you want to,’ she said.

Seeing Brooke nodding, Giselle then took out her set of exploding snap, and the two girls started to set up the game. One card each…two cards each…three cards each… It was when they all got three cards had the cards flew away by themselves, then they both laughed very hard. Still smiling, Giselle collected the cards back and put them in place again. They both got eight cards when…whoosh, they few apart again. After a few attempts to give each other some cards, Giselle smiled. It really was fun, no doubt.

Giselle said, ‘Well, it might be better if we eat something first. She pointed to the treats bought from the trolley. ‘True, I haven’t gave them to you,’ she said. She then gave Brooke a pumpkin pastie and two chocolate frogs. ‘You really must be hungry.

Suddenly, a rumbling noise announced that the compartment door is opening. Wonder who it is, thought Giselle. ‘Did you hear that?’ Giselle then said to Brooke.

Hearing the girl’s words, Giselle immediately took out a chock ball and thrusted it to the girl’s arms, along with some Jelly Slugs, two chocolate frogs, a pumpkin pasty, a liquorice wand and a pepper imp.

‘All yours,’ Giselle said. ‘Come and sit here with us!’

‘Well, Audrey,’ Giselle started. ‘Do you wanna play exploding snap? I was playing with Brooke here just now and it was so funny! The cards kept toppling over and it has been three times that we set it up! It’s very satisfying, to play it!’

‘Well, it’s very nice to go to hogwarts, don’t you think?’

She wanted to make a good first impression on Audrey, as she wanted to with Brooke.

‘I’m really excited about the journey!’ Eyeing Audrey with a merry smile on her lips, she asked, ‘Do you know how to play exploding snap?’ ‘It’s really fun in my opinion!’ Giselle explained. ‘Also, can you tell us more about yourself?’

Audrey shuddered as one of them smiled at her, handing me plenty of food. Traumatised, she began staring at them, wondering, They are so nice to me! Her train of thoughts were then interrupted by the brown-eyed girl, who was the person that gave her those snacks. "All yours," she grinned, exchanging looks with another girl sitting beside her. "Come and sit here with us!"

She'd never felt such a heartwarming scene. At this point, her heart was filled with nothing but gratitude. She then quickly sat on a chair next to them. Trying to show my thanks to them, she thanked them. As she munched onto the Jelly Slugs, the brown-eyed girl introduced herself. Turns out that she was Giselle and the other girl was Brookline. As she looked around the area, she realised that there were some messy dark-blue cards around the room. "Woah... I think I definitely missed something here,"

‘Well, Audrey,’ Giselle started. ‘Do you wanna play exploding snap? I was playing with Brooke here just now and it was so funny! The cards kept toppling over and it has been three times that we set it up! It’s very satisfying to play it!’ She thought, what is an exploding snap? She'd never heard of it before!

Trying to read the room, Giselle spoke up and asked, ‘Well, it’s very nice to go to Hogwarts, don’t you think?’. She could tell that Giselle was trying to befriend her, but to her it wasn't convincing enough. ‘I’m really excited about the journey!’ Eyeing Audrey with a merry smile on her lips, she asked, ‘Do you know how to play exploding snap?’ ‘It’s really fun in my opinion!’ Giselle explained. ‘Also, can you tell us more about yourself?’

Finally being able to speak, Audrey spoke frantically. "Uh... I'm from Leyland, and I'm half-blood, kind of common," she then thought, should she trust them? It was then she remembered one of my goals in Hogwarts: to make more new friends and learn to trust people, even if they're foes. Heaving a sigh of relief, she started speaking like her 11-year-old self. "To be honest, my parents weren't really interested in wizarding stuff, so yeah... I don't really know what that is," she then added on. "Though, I do love Chocolate Frogs! I'm a chocolate addict, you know, and this is one of my personal favourite chocolates. It is undeniably better than Cadbury or KitKat, if you know what they are," she shrugged. "Also, could I just call you Brook?" Audrey turned to the oddly silent girl sitting beside Giselle. Although she looked friendly, Audrey could feel the cold gust of wind between them, shivering uncontrollably.

Brooke shrugged. She didn't know what that sound but she yawned, her eyes lids flickering by the second. Ugh, this has to be very embarrassing.

Brooke felt like she was under water, under water was a bit overwhelming. All she could see is blue and dark blue and blue and black. As she stared in space, only seeing dark colors, she tried to tell herself to stop since this had to very embarrassing. Shittt.....

When a another girl with dark brown hair whom she had not seen before was sitting by Giselle, she rubbed her striking dark blue eyes. When Brooke realized that the girl was addressing to her, she said,

“Sorry that I'm asking but what the hell is a KitKat and a Cadbury? Forgive me but I'm a pure~blood, so if you tell me about a muggle thing, I wouldn't know what it is, to be honest, ” Although the words that left Brooke's lips were a bit harsh if you do ask me myself but she made it easy to answer by the kindness and softness in her voice and the soft smile on her face.

Her Welsh accent made her voice sound thick. A happy smile was upon her lips as she smiled at Audrey, pretty golden specks floated in the dark blue waters of her eyes. Instantly, Audrey felt a bit more comfortable. Perhaps her expectations were too high. Force of habit.

“Sorry that I'm asking but what is a KitKat and a Cadbury? Forgive me but I'm a pure~blood, so if you tell me about a muggle thing, I wouldn't know what it is, to be honest, ” Audrey gazed at her blue eyes; she could tell that she's annoyed with Muggles. She thought that Brook thought she was a Muggle. "Oh, sorry for offending you," Audrey tried to reason with her. "I'm a half-blood, but my parents were more on the Muggle side compared to the Wizard side. So... yeah," She thought, what an elegant girl.

Trying to continue on the topic, Audrey replied, "I could ask my parents to send me some Kit Kats and Cadbury bars if you want. They're pretty tasty," she then turned her attention towards the Exploding Snap. "Oh, and by the way, could you teach me on how to play the exploding snaps? I've heard my brother murmured about it but never had a chance to play it," she reassured, trying to paint a good image on Brook.

As the Hogwarts Express rumbled, Audrey peeked out of the window, appalled to see a grand castle standing in front of her. They're almost there. Almost.

As they played, the cards got blown away at the middle of Giselle’s turn. ‘See, Audrey, it can get a little annoying at times.‘Let’s not play it now,’ Giselle yawned. ‘I’m getting tired. Fancy a nap?’ Giselle looked out of the window sleepily. No, she can’t sleep now. They’re almost there.

Continuing the conversation about Kitkats and Cadburies, Giselle said, ‘Well, Brooke, I think it’s, um… a bar of chocolate?’

Giselle knew a little, but only a little of the muggle world. Her parents rarely talked about it, as they were more in the wizard side than the muggle side. Only her muggle grandparents on her mother’s side was considered muggle, the others all wizards. Yeah.

Looking out of the window once again, Giselle sighed.

‘We’re almost there.’

She was not too happy to be arriving there this early, since she wanted more time to chat with her two new friends. They may not- but Giselle truly hoped they were- in the same hogwarts house.

As Giselle elaborated on the rules of the Explosive Snaps, Audrey thought, wow, this is like the next level of magic. It was then Giselle asked her whether she wanted to play or not. She nodded, eager to learn about this mystical card game. She gazed at the cards as Giselle placed them carefully on top of each other.

Audrey laughed and laughed uncontrollably as Giselle had blown the cards away at the middle of her turn. 'Let's not play it now,' Giselle yawned. 'I'm getting tired,' 'Fancy a nap?' Giselle looked out of the window sleepily but then turned back suddenly, as if she just thought of something.

She continued the conversation. "Well, Brooke, I think it's, um... a bar of chocolate?" Audrey could tell that Giselle knew a bit about chocolates, but that bit was just as small as if it was comparing humans and the galaxy. "Yeah, a bar of chocolate," she exclaimed. "I'll ask my parents to send some here next week. Just wait," Audrey blinked on Giselle and Brook as she realised there was nothing else much to talk about now. She watched as Giselle gazed outside the window. 'We're almost there,' Giselle murmurs softly. A sense of tranquility surged through Audrey veins. She had not wanted the train to arrive... yet.

Audrey then darted her vision on Brookline. Her hands were touching her delicate cheeks, as if she was bored of waiting. Her blue, shining eyes were blurry and out of vision, and Audrey could tell she was daydreaming.

Somehow, she felt a sense of nervousness crawling through her spines. Gobbling on the snacks Giselle had gave her, she thought, what happens if we'd never met? What would happen if, instead, I wasn't hungry and had breakfast before this? Would everything change? She then shifted her train of thoughts away. Now that she had found the right friends, she would need to cherish them and treat them just like her sisters. "I know that we've only met for a few hours, but shall we be called friends, or better, sisters?" I spoke softly, trying not to get too much to the main point but also trying to get their attention. A deafening silence filled the compartment.

‘Well, not exactly sisters, maybe, because I already have one, called Evanna. She’s a prankster, like me!’

‘Hey Brooke and Audrey, do you want us to be a trio, and make our name? Let’s make it as the first letter of our names!’

She had found this idea somewhere else in a book.

‘So B for Brooke, A for Audrey and G for me! How do you wanna arrange the letters?’ Giselle was enthusiastic in creating a trio name. It was really fun.

‘Maybe we could call ourselves the BAG? No, that’s like the word bag, and we’re not living bags, so ABG? No, that sounds too much like ABC, too babyish… Can somebody help me with the letter arrangements? I can’t seem to think of a good one.’

Looking out of the compartment window again, Giselle found out that they were moving towards that Great Lake. The train was slowing down.

‘We must be there already!” [/color] Giselle said.

Slower still, slower still… Suddenly, the train came to a halt. That can only mean one thing - they had reached hogwarts. ‘C’mon, she muttered to the two, holding up her hand.
