"T-thanks," Koko said to Elena. So many people were probably hurt. "Actually, while I would enjoy mine, I think that she would prefer it," she added, sliding off the bed and walking towards the Gryffindor (Aurelia). That kid had done a lot of damage with his multiple Diffindos, and Koko could feel it too.

She set it on the table next to the prefect's bed. "I hope she wakes up..." Koko wsn't in too much pain, but oh did her mouth hurt. The second year had certainly had one big fist. "We should all gang up on him one day... Perhaps try and bring him to Headmaster Lear so that he gets taken care of." And then:

"I think he needs a hug."

Who would say that about a boy who acted like a killer? Only someone who realised how terrified he looked. He was scared of something, and Koko was determined to find out what. Only, you know, it would be especially tough to find out how. Especially now that the said killer was probably her enemy and would then try and kill her.

Play dead? Maybe she could do that. Her eyes were starting to glimmer with both ambition and determination. She had a plan.

”I think he just needs a hug”
Ruby somewhat agreed with what Koko had said. She nodded hesitantly. ”He did a terrible thing though...” she whispered. It was true; he needed punishment. He had nearly killed a handful of students. Not only did he endanger them, he endangered himself.
”You all could have died!” she frowned. As she said ‘died’, her thought flipped back to so long ago. Her brother, Duncan, had died from a lung disease. She hated the thought that she was all alone with no siblings. But soon after she joined Hogwarts, she felt right at home. (Most of the time. This time isn’t very homey...)
She moaned. ”I miss you” her words were nothing more than a hoarse whisper. She hopes nobody else would mistake that statement for themselves. Now that would be awkward!
Ruby glanced at Koko. Both herself and Koko had been hurt. Koko was stabbed many times, but Ruby didn’t know exactly how she was hurt. Mentally? She figured that’s what it was, considering her friends had nearly died. Well, friend had nearly died. She was only acquaintances with the other wizards and witches. She was merely that in fact. Ruby didn’t really care though. She was independent. She had a lot of independence practice since she had no brother after all! She bit her lip at her mental sarcasm. She rolled her eyes and wiped a bit of vomit off her chin. "I hope this doesn't happen again!"

Giving this thread a few more days, I know there are a few people that are in this thread... want to give them a chance to post too.

The Headmaster's head spun a bit as the students roused, some of them more helpful than others. Apparently this was the working of a Kaegen Deathmote. He had heard the name before, one of the other students mentioned him. The name was unique. Kaegen was a name with alleged Gaelic origins suggesting a fieriness or a fiery temper rather. An interesting choice to name a child. Children are often named after aspirations and in this modern era after things that sound 'cool' or bring forth a sense of humor in them. Deathmote sounded like a name a teenager would give themselves, something to make them sound 'edgy' or even cool. Solomon wondered if that was even the boy's true name. Then there was this mention of the 'fens'. The fens is not a place. Solomon's face dropped a bit with that revelation. That is like a kid saying they are from the mountains and that was how they referenced their home. There is the 'fenlands' in eastern England, basically an area of reclaimed lands and low-laying marshes. But the 'fens' is a term that is used to describe terrain more than geographical location.

This kid, whoever he is -- IF the name was not just a nom de plume -- is if nothing else troubled. Dangerous.

"Kaegen Deathmote of the fens..." Solomon repeated, a tone of exasperation in his voice as the girls recollected how someone could have been killed. He felt a little sick thinking about it. The students were bloodied, potentially traumatized but for the most part okay. He let out a sigh, Elena offered chocolate -- a woman's cure for almost any ailment, it was almost enviable actually. No, he was destined to have stress ulcers and migraines. Solomon actually had a sizable chocolate addiction of his own.

In fact he had a few cards of his own in his pocket. Allegedly they were rather popular with the kids these days. [Handing out some cards] It was not much, but he withdrew a handful of cards and passed them out. To him they were just bits of paper, but to the students they seemed to hold more value, especially these 'gold' ones. "I have a bit of a chocolate problem myself," he admitted with a forced chuckle as he patted the armor that covered his belly. He was fitter than his attire suggested, his armor hardly form-fitting but he could still stand to use a few, thankfully he did not have a wife to keep happy any longer. "Here, you kids might enjoy these," he offered a few cards to the group.

"Do you know what house this Deathmote is from?" He thought he might have heard someone mention Ravenclaw but he was not entirely certain. He was going to have to have a long conversation with that boy's Head of House, Ryker. Ryker was a bit lax on his students. A concern really, especially if he has such an unstable youth within the confines of his tower.

Elena put another frog next to Koko’s bed and looked at her, “You kidding? That kid was trained, not exactly well trained, but trained. And clever to boot, leave capturing the kid for someone who knows what they’re doing.”

She paused for a moment, “A hug would be a good plan, but now you’ve shown yourself as a threat he won’t accept one. I met him once before and the names I introduced myself with, of all the things, made him think of me as a threat. Give him a wide berth for now, I don’t know if and when he goes on the offensive.”

Elena took the card and made a happy squeak, “Thank you so much! I’ve been wanting one of these for weeks! Yes, ravenclaw, second year, used to be a prefect too, maybe he was a good kid before. There’s something else, wait a second...”

Elena tried to think back to the first meeting, “Kaegen Deathmote, something about fens, something about suicidal tadpoles, blah blah Eris, Assistant to Professor Lear under the authority of himself.”

Elena looked very proud of her adrenaline and sleep deprived memory, “Then he said something about prefects and freaked the hell out, the first time I met him, that is. Three am near the lake, I made the mistake of falling asleep and waking up muuuuuch later.”

I'm weak my love.
