Justin chuckled at the boy. He shook his head, and turned to the ashen hair hair body with a sincere attitude. "I didn't mean to offend you, big man," Justin replied, his American accent being clear and soothing. "I can come off as quite offensive to some people, having grown up in the US and all. I assure you it's not personal," Justin grinned.
Justin chuckled more when the ashen hair boy wiped his hands after touching his graded papers. "I apologize for that. It was kind of funny no? I thought it was clever," he then laughed out loud, heartily.
Justin then revealed the shoes that he was wearing. They were custom Jordan 1s. The Ravenclaw sigil was embedded on the side.
"As a truce, I can get you these in the Gryffindor color," Justin grinned. "I actually have all four houses customized by my little brother, but I think they'd fit you well. Never worn em because... ya know. I'm a Ravenclaw. They're brand spanking new."
"You forgive me, for being a dick?" Justin smiled, warmly. He offered the ashen-hair boy a fist bump.
"We may have gotten off on the wrong foot," Justin chuckled again. "Let's start over. How you doing? I'm Justin Shin, what's your name? You still haven't said it ya know." Justin smiled.

Sere had never heard any rule that prohibited students from sitting at long tables other than those belonging to their own house during meal times. The rule for sitting according 'which house are you in' seems to only applied on welcoming agendas and if there are any important announcements from the Headmaster or Professors. The beginning of the offer showed a bad tension between the parties. The witness is currently seemed busy with the remaining piece of scone in her right hand, but this girl is actually also paying attention to the quarrel between the two boys.
Sere could see Justin's academic grades from the parchments he had placed on the table. This is the first time she realized that not all Ravenclaws are good in academics. Sere fully understands the reason behind Theo's reaction -that looked very offended- remembering that the boy had previously said that he's really focused on his academics. She will obviously do pretty much the same if she faced this kind of situation, but she has to try to do something neutral since the problem is not in her shoes.
When Theo's annoyance reached its peak and he is about to leave, Sere got up and said casually, "Wherever you came from, I suggest you be careful when it comes to talking to new people, Justin." The girl looked at Theo's back, "We'll never know when our words crossed someone else's patience limit."
Sere sighed, folded her arms, and said in a volume that would reach the ashen-haired boy's ears, "Just make it simple, Theo. Give it to Justin if you really think you don't need it." The girl came closer to Theo and opened her mouth once again, this time she's whispering, "You were the one who challenged him by suddenly offering a barter. There aren't many things to exchange here, in this early morning, you know that. The boy was just thinking too fast... and shallow."
Sere sighed, "Hold yourself down a little bit, won't you?" She didn't expect that there would be a clash just because a pair of weird crocs. Or... maybe this is all part of the crocs' curse?

Theodore looked less than appeased as Justin explained his American origins may be the cause of unintentional offence. The boy gave Justin a hard judgemental stare, the damage having already been done. Theo often stereotyped those from cultures different to his own and Jusin was no different. Although the Ravenclaw had made a valiant attempt to win Theo back over, it seemed the young Gryfinndor was in a foul mood.Mentioning: @Justin Shin and @Sere Nade
“You? American?” Theo started, sounding exaggeratedly sarcastic. “I never would have guessed. All the Americans I know are nosey and intrusive, can’t mind their own business, have a detestable vocabulary, touch other people’s property and are overly obsessed with shoes. That doesn’t sound like you at all!” Theo rambled loudly. He wasn’t shouting but was irritated enough that he was turning heads from other students in the hall.
Sere’s attempt to calm the situation had failed also. Ever Since the catastrophe at the Spring ball earlier in the month, Theo had been on edge and looking for excuses to lash out. Although it was clear to anyone observing that the Ravenclaw was just trying to be friendly, Theo was a natural at ruining potential friendships before they had the chance to get off the ground. His tendency to do this bothered him little. No one would find him whining about not having any friends, he fully believed the only person he could count on was himself.
Theo reached out and grasped the crocs in his hand, yanking them off the table. He was about to storm out of the great hall, but stopped suddenly and turned to Sere, his voice less strained than before. “Good luck with your duelling.” He said, though his voice sounded disingenuous as if forcing himself to be polite. Theo dramatically turned on his heel, his robes flaring in the air for a moment and then he stomped off.

"Thank you. I do try to stray from the bad stereotypes," Justin replied cleverly to Theo's sarcasm.
Sere then gave a word of warning to Justin about talking to new people. "Oh, I was doing it on purpose, don't worry," Justin smirked as he eyed Theo.
The little Gryffindor boy then grabbed his things and stormed off the Great Hall, with a dramatic turn.
"Spoiled brat. Are we doing Shakespeare?" Justin said loud enough for the Gryffindor boy to hear. "If you didn't want anyone to intrude you wouldn't have flaunted your magic like that in public. You were clearly seeking attention," Justin smirked.
He turned to the girl sitting next to him. "Thanks for offering a seat at the table. It seems like I have abruptly stopped your conversation with Ego Theo over there," Justin chuckled.
"Unfortunately, those crocs are off the market now. I need to find other footwear I can wear to the Great Lake, if I want to go fishing later today. I'll be off!" Justin got up with gusto. He imitated Theo's dramatic turn and quoted Shakespeare. "To be or not to be," the boy mocked the Gryffindor boy as he chuckled and skipped out of the Great Hall. Justin waved at the girl named Sere one last time as he left the room.
"Nice meeting you," the boy saluted to the Gryffindor girl.

Date : April 29th, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Sere tutted and folded her arms when she saw that the atmosphere was not getting better, it was increasingly tensed up after she tried to calm Theo down. She clearly doesn't have that amount of calming presence. The girl was about to open her mouth to stop the ashen hair when the boy said 'good luck' for her duelling. "Thank you. Can you p---" Too late. The fellow Gryffindor stomped his feet, going out dramatically with those damned crocs in his hands. "Ah, nevermind."
Sere's gaze turned towards the voice that now clearly mocking the person he called Ego Theo. Yup, Justin imitated the other boy... skillfully? Sere shook her head at the behavior of the boy in front of her. Boy's quarrels can be more troublesome, since they both have an equal stubborn level.
Sere sat back down at the long Gryffindor table. She nodded briefly in response to the friendly closing remarks before Justin left. The girl grabbed another scone, taking a bite. "Those crocs are cursed. Obviously." Sere believed in that crocs' curse with her 'not yet completely clear and rational on Monday morning' mind. She shrugged, "At least they didn't throw fists. That would be a huge problem it they did so." She has no problem with the two boys, and the two boy's problems are not her problem. "That was not my business. Better plan my schedule for this whole week." Taking a second bite of her third scone, Sere's thoughts drifted far away, forgetting all the quarrel, and those mysterious crocs.Interacting with : @Theo Vendeberg & @Justin Shin
