"Because... what? What could you possibly get out of reading that musty old book? Most of the history that happened in it happened, like, what, hundred years ago?" Felix tilts his head, questioning. He runs his hand through his hair in a pathetically worthless attempt to try and calmit. As much as he doesn't really care how he looks, he'd prefer not to look like he literally just rolled out of bed.
He also doesn't want to admit that he read the book too. As well as most of their other textbooks, because he didn't want to be behind everyone else, what with not knowing anything about magic.

Also, he actually found the history book somewhat interesting, but didn't want to say that. Felix had learned over time that saying things like that often made people think he was weird. He doesn't care if he gets called weird, but when 'that weird girl' becomes a part of his reputation, he has a very big issue with it.
Out of the corner of his eye, he sees her looking at him, but decides to ignore it. He's always wished that he could read minds, and this is another one of those moments that it's his main unrealistic wish. He wonders what the girl is thinking.
Leona talks so slow, what's her problem? he thinks to himself.

"No reason... There's no reason." Leona looks at Felix wondering why he asked what the reason was. She hadn't answered mostly because Felix might laugh at her if he knew she was a Muggle born. She hasn't told anyone yet about it but she's never planning to tell anyone. Why would she tell anyone, she only would if she was stupid. She looks at Felix and then quickly looks down at her feet. She feels a bit of warmth from the sun coming out. Earlier Leona was cold, she doesn't want to mention that to Felix because he might laugh. There are so many reasons why Felix would laugh at me. She thinks looking at Felix.

Leona hears a few birds as she gets a bit antsy when she sees how far they are from the castle. She starts to walk a bit slower and soon looks back to see if Felix is coming. "Are you coming?" Leona looks at the Slytherin wondering why he was in Slytherin. I'm not doubting to Sorting Hat, but Felix doesn't seem much like he would be in Slytherin. She thinks, making sure that she didn't say it out loud by looking around. She looks back and waits for Felix.

Felix keeps up with Leona easily, with his decently long stride, and mostly is just trying not to get too far ahead of her.
"Everything happens for a reason." he says. He decides to be persistent, because he feels like it, and she did ask him questions first. then he adds, after some thought- "Y'know, for a person who asks so many questions, you don't answer them much.".

Sure, he ignores questions a lot too, but he doesn't ask that many questions, so he can be excused, right? Actually, I don't really care what you think. He can be excused.
His knee sort of hurts a bit right now, from when he scraped it a couple of days ago. Banged it on the floor, after waking up from a dream, and now it still twinges once in a while. Real annoying is what it is. Also really stupid, and weird. He can't even remember much about the dream itself. All he knows is that it was quite startling, or at least, scary a bit. He did end up falling off his bed, so... yeah. Must have been something.

Felix doesn't notice the tree in front of him, and hits it nose-first, only seeing it a second or so before the hit. He hops back, rubbing his nose, eyes watering. He's always hated that your eyes start watering when you hit your nose hard. Hitting his nose is a common occurrence for him, so yay! Lots of watery eyes. "Damn my stupid nose." he hisses in pain. "Screw being flippin' jinxed!" he's not literally, like, magically jinxed, but he's always been rather injury-prone.

"Are you okay?" Leona says when she looks to see Felix hit into a literal tree! Was he even looking? Leona thinks, a little worried why he looks like he's crying. She decides quickly not to comment on Felix tearing up. "Alright fine i'll tell you why I'm reading, 'Hogwarts, A History'. I'm reading it because... I think it's very interesting and...cool." Leona quickly comes up with a lie to stop Felix from knowing she's a Muggle born. "Did you know Hogwarts was founded by three people? It was founded around the 9th and 10th century by Godric Griffondor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff and Salazar Slytherin. It's very interesting." She says trying to lead off the conversation from why she's reading it.

Leona looks around and offers to help Felix. "Maybe we both need to see the nurse." Leona jokes as she stands near Felix. She expects Felix to laugh and maybe not accept her help but she still offers help. Maybe he'll take help now that he's hurt? Leona looks at Felix and then smiles a bit trying not to laugh at him. She could have told Felix about being a Muggle born but most people always laugh when she tells anyone anything.

"Ha ha." Felix is a bit embarrassed that his eyes are watering. It probably looks like he's crying. He hasn't really cried in a long while. He wasn't one to think that crying, in itself, was a weakness. But he did think that if someone couldn't stop themselves from crying (when it's not a physical pain), they are kind of weak. Also, if they cry in front of people and think that they won't get made fun of, they're real dumb.
"I'm pretty sure that everyone knows that about Hogwarts. Rowena, Godric, Salazar, and Helga. The four founders. Around 990 A.D. Long after Mahoutokoro what's-it, which was founded back in 5 A.D."

His nose hurts badly, and he's expecting Leona will probably laugh at him from not seeing the tree. Truth is, he did see the tree, he was just a bit zoned out, and didn't react. It was kind of like when you faint but felt perfectly fine, and it's just like 'Holy toledo, was the floor this close before?' and then you hit the floor face-first. Except, it was a tree. Not the floor. Not sure if that's fortunate or not.
"Salazar is an awesome name, isn't it? It's also primarily gender-neutral, which is even better.".

Felix has one story character named Salazar. Salazar Oshwot, to be exact. Technically he's part of an alien species, but using the word 'alien' is stupid. The word directly defines to 'a foreigner' or 'extraterrestrial life form'. To themselves, they are not 'extraterrestrial', because they don't base everything off of the human Earth. Actually, the current 'planet Earth' doesn't exist in their universe. That Earth was destroyed over a thousand years earlier, by global warming. The new Earth that the humans are on is a completely different planet, which humans moved too, and is now assumed to be the old Earth, by a government cover-up.

"Why does it matter if it's...gender-neutral?" Leona looks at Felix ignoring his other words for a bit. Why does it matter? She looks at Felix with an odd look and then turns away and looks at the tree. It's an oak. She then processes Felix's other words. "Well I've never read Hogwarts, A History." She still doesn't really trust Felix enough to tell him about her blood status. But she really wanted to tell Felix.

"Would you...laugh at me...if I told you my Blood Status?" Leona quietly stares at Felix, she hopes Felix won't yell at her. The pain of Felix laughing at her stung. If he did she might give up on trying to be closer to him. Will he laugh? She stares behind her wondering how long now they've been outside. Maybe they should get going now. She could walk alone without Felix but then what if he thinks she's ignoring her? She hasn't trusted many people but she trusts Felix.

Leona wants Felix to answer her questions but not see him laugh. He might laugh but why would he not? She really wants to get going but also wants to hear his answer. Should I go or stay?

"Er... a name being gender-neutral is just... nice I guess?" Felix didn't really mean to mention that about the name, but oh well. He doesn't really want to say why he likes neutral names.
He always thought that it would be great if you had a neutral name. When he was younger, he always had issues with people saying 'Isn't that a girl name?' with his birth name, and it had bugged him a lot.

"And why would I laugh about some blood status? Even if you're muggleborn, I'm not much better. I've got the blood status of a half-blood, but the childhood and knowledge of a muggleborn.". It's true. His dad didn't exactly tell him much about the Wizarding world... until he set a girl's hair on fire. It was an accident, but probably the most satisfying moment of his nine-year-old life at the time. An uncontrollable grin came onto his face as he thought about that moment. She'd been bothering him, about much of the usual things, and as she walked away, her hair, which she always had so perfectly brushed and put together, set on fire. She wasn't burned otherwise, and no one ever traced it back to him, except his dad.

Also, his grandfather's family had kind of turned away from his part of the family, because they were 'mixed blood' or 'half-bloods'. (Not magical half-bloods, his dad was a muggleborn) Because his grandfather, who is Filipino, married an Irish-English woman, and his family didn't like that. Felix had never even met most of them. He hadn't met a lot of people in his family, neither his mother's family, or his grandfather's family. So, blood status was a bit of a sore point for him.

"Why do you think...never mind. You're half-blood!" Leona stares a Felix. How would he be half? He never acts like it. She never judges most people by their looks but Felix totally looks like a pure-blood to her. He seems like someone who knows a lot about magic and Hogwarts.

"Well you said you won't laugh and you kind of have the same knowledge I do. I'm a muggle-born and I also have no idea what most things are. Do you know anything about television?" Leona completely just opened everything up to Felix. She really hopes she won't regret it all. What will Felix say to her statement? When will they go, Leona is really getting impatient now. "Can we go yet?" She started to hopefully get the conversation away from blood status. She grabs her book and starts to read it. It's a bit heavier than she remembers.

Maybe I need to get used to it again? Leona crouches down to read under the oak that Felix hit into. She reads a bit before getting back up to wait for Felix. I wonder what classes will be like during the week? Her classes she still found boring but at this moment she wanted to get this over with.

"What, is that such a surprise? I'm pretty sure the whole Pure blood family thing is like, rich and well-mannered." His grandma had always said that, though he had decent manners, he slumped, mumbled, dressed messily, and was usually covered in dust, snow, water, et cetera, et cetera. He also had some very creative language in his vocab.
Felix wiped his eyes one more time, since they had almost stopped watering from his run-in with the tree trunk. He breathed in, and suddenly had a small coughing fit, but it stopped soon enough. He had a sore throat and a cough so often nowadays. It pissed him off. The first thing that always gets affected first when he gets sick is always his throat. He also gets colds a lot. He didn't think he had a cold right now, but he did have a sore throat, and a very ticklish throat as well.

He straightened up, and then joked "So.. suppose we're not going to the hospital wing after all, eh?".

Leona seems to be doing fine, and has sat down to read again. They've made very little progress in getting to the castle, what with all the interruptions. Felix looks down at his left hand, which is covered in random markings in permanent marker, which he had made earlier in the day, when he had been quite bored. The he had decided to got out onto the grounds.

"Well I want to go now...but there are so many stops all the time." Leona looks at Felix and starts to grab his hand and pull him to the castle, but then she stops in the case of Felix yelling at her. She thinks about how Felix thinks about her being muggle-born but doesn't think of it much when her stomach grumbles loudly.

"Can we get going? I'm getting really hungry now and I want to eat." Leona tries to get Felix to start moving. I really am hungry. She thinks of her favorite foods. bread...burgers...I should stop thinking about food. She stares off into the distance and wonders what her dorm mate, Eugenia is doing right now. Then a small odd sound brings Leona back to reality. Then she noticed Felix's hand was colored on, with what looks like a marker.

"What are those...marks on your hand?" Leona asks Felix and then returns to staring off into the distance. She usually stares when she's bored but other than that she doesn't much. Huh... I really wish I could read Felix's mind. She's never wondered what others were thinking about but with Felix she really wanted to know. I think it would be cool to teleport.
