Where Do I Go From Here
After the fiasco in the library, Brynlee decided to get some fresh air. She checked out the book she was reading, Quidditch Through The Ages, and made her way to the grounds. She had heard of the amazing lake on the grounds from the stories her brother and sister had told her, and she wanted to check it out herself.
When she found the lake, it took her breath away. The water was beautifully reflecting the light of the sun, and there was a wonderfully cool breeze blowing Brynlee's hair. She let out a sigh and smiled. "It's perfect..." She decided that this was going to be her next favourite spot, after the library, of course. She found her way to a particularly large tree and sat against the trunk.
She took in the view of the lake for a few moments, breathing in the cold, crispy air that filled her lungs. She listened to the birds, and watched the occasional ripple on the water from an air bubble coming from underneath the surface. She smiled softly and closed her eyes, letting everything that was happening around her overwhelm her thoughts.
After a few moments, she opened her eyes again and looked down at her book. Bending her knees, she rested the book against her thighs and opened it to the page she left off and began to read aloud. She found that this usually helped her understand what she was reading, and since she couldn't do it at the library, she was grateful for the opportunity to do it here. Plus, she was pretty certain she was alone, so no one could judge her for her method of reading.

Where Do I Go From Here
Sylvie was exhausted after another day of school, and decided to relax at her favorite spot at Hogwarts. This was by the Great Lake under a particular tree. She’d started to go there at the beginning at the year. Almost all of the time it was unoccupied, but today Sylvie saw a girl sitting under the tree with a book on her lap.
The girl also had blonde hair, which made Sylvie smile to herself thinking, “Looks like I’ve been replaced.” She continued to walk straight till she was directly behind the tree, then walked towards it so the girl wouldn’t see her coming. The girl was reading aloud to herself, so that helped cover up the sound of her footsteps even though they probably wouldn’t be heard without the girl's voice covering them up. Sylvie carefully climbed up into the tree, frowning when she made a small twig fall out of the tree. “Whatever, it wasn’t that noticeable.”
When she’d found a good place to sit and watch the girl., she finally decided to look at what she was reading. “Hmmm, it says ‘Quidditch through the ages’ at the top of the page. I haven’t read that one yet. Maybe I could check it out after she’s done with it…” She put her feet up on a sturdy tree branch, leaning against the tree’s trunk, wondering whether she should bother the girl. “I guess I’ll let her be for now. I know I don’t really like to be disturbed while reading.”
Sylvie looked out onto the lake which glistened with the sunlight that bounced off of it. The breeze made it a bit chilly, but not to much that it was a bother. Even if she was in a tree, Sylvie could’ve fallen asleep then and there. “I hope she doesn’t notice me up here. That would be kinda awkward. Then again, it would also be awkward if i said something. Oh my, what have I done!” She did not want to make things awkward with her and this girl she’d just met. If she left now, she might be noticed since it’s harder to get out of a tree quietly than in. Sylvie’s heart was pounding quickly until she decided that she would just wait for the girl to leave. “Yeah… I can just listen to her until she leaves… it’ll be fine… right?!?”

Where Do I Go From Here
While Brynlee was reading, a branch from the tree fell down beside her. She stopped reading and frowned, looking over at the twig that so rudely interrupted her peace. She grabbed the branch and threw it as far as she could into the water, watching the ripples die out. She decided it was just the wind blowing a broken twig and shrugged, looking back at her book and continuing to read.
However, Brynlee was not planning on leaving anytime soon. She was only a quarter of the way into her book, and she wanted to finish it soon so she could go get another one. She had finished her classes for the day, so she didn’t have anywhere to be. She wiggled a little bit, since her bottom was getting numb from being sat on the entire day.
Brynlee shifted once again and decided to lay on her stomach. She laid the book on the ground in front of her and began to read the next page. After a few minutes, this became uncomfortable, and Brynlee huffed. “Why does ground have to be so hard!?” She whisper screamed at the lake before turning over on her back. Her arms held up the book in front of her face, and once again continued to read.
Suddenly, over the top of her book, Brynlee noticed a lock of blonde hair blowing in the wind. She gasped and lowered her book, making eye contact with a girl who was sitting in the tree above her. She stared, motionless, for a moment, before opening her mouth. “How… How long were you there…? How did you get up there without me noticing? Were you listening to me?! Spying on me?!?”
From the stories she’s heard from Day and Lily, people spying on you was never a good idea. Maybe this girl had heard that she wanted to be an Auror, and wanted to find out bad stuff about her so she could attack her. Maybe this person knew of Day and Lily and wanted dirt on them so she could tell someone to go hurt them! Brynlee’s face hardened in anger at this idea, and she glared at the girl as she waited for her answer.

Where Do I Go From Here
It took Sylvie a moment to process what had just happened. She’d been spotted by the girl, and by the look on her face the girl was not happy at all. She made a ‘squeak!’ sound and lost her balance, falling out of the tree onto the ground.
“Oww~” she moaned as she lay there, since the breath had been knocked out of her. This wasn’t the first time she’d fallen out of a tree, but it still felt as if it was her first time. She looked over to find the girl still glaring at her, as if piercing into her soul. Sylvie wanted to run and hide. “Oh god, oh god, OH GOD! SHE HATES ME NOW! WHAT HAVE I DONE!” She thought, staying on the ground, frozen in fear. She’d made a really bad first impression by the look the girl was giving her. “Apologize Sylvie! Don’t just lie there DO SOMETHING!” She sat up, shaking from fear as she looked at the girl. She wasn’t afraid of the girl persay, more scared of what the girl was thinking. All she could manage was a weak, “I-I’m so s-sorry, I didn't mean to.. Ugh…” She looked at her legs. There were a few scratched, but nothing to bad. They would go away in a few days.
“Take a breath Sylvie… just focus…” She took a breath in and out and stopped shaking. “I’m sorry that I did that. I went up into the tree to see what you were doing. Usually I sit in this spot and read, just like you are today.” This all sounded so stupid to her, but it was the truth. “I was only up there for a few minutes. I didn’t want to disturb you or creep you out (I failed at that obviously), so I stayed up there to prevent from making more noise. I truly am sorry.” Sylvie said maintaining eye contact. She appeared calmer now, but after she finished her heart started pounding quickly and it became harder to breath. “I’m such a weirdo…” she thought, looking down at the ground.

Brynlee gasped when the girl fell from the tree, and started to take a step forward to help her, but then she remembered that she was angry and stayed where she was. Brynlee’s foot began to tap against the ground as she waited for an answer, but finally her subconcious took over and she ran over to the girl, kneeling next to her.
“Sorry… Are you okay? I didn’t mean to startle you, and I absolutely didn’t mean to scare you out of the tree and hurt yourself…” She pouted lightly as the girl started to explain herself. Slowly, as the girl spoke, Brynlee began to understand and she sighed rubbing her head and groaning. “Oh, gosh… I’m sorry, I didn’t know…”
She sighed again and looked down at the girls legs. “Oh, you’re hurt! I’m so so so so so so SO sorry! I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions the way I did, I didn’t want you to get hurt… Are you okay? Do you need me to help you to the hospital wing?”
The girl looked down and Brynlee stuck out her bottom lip, mentally slapping herself for jumping to conclusions the way she did. Gosh, she probably thinks I’m stupid, or… or rude, or… She groaned softly. Great job, Brynlee… you just messed up another friendship…

Where Do I Go From Here
“No it’s completely fine. I would be angry if I saw someone watching me from a tree…” Sylvie said, laughing a bit nervously. “I’m not seriously injured or anything. Just a few scratches here and there.” She lifted up her leg to show the girl, then put it back down. “Why do I do these stupid things?!?!” She sighed, getting up off the ground and brushing the dirt off of her arms, legs, and hair. Sylvie had much worse injuries from falling out of trees, one of the times being when she was suddenly found by her father and sister on top of a tree when she was around seven. She’d fallen very far, but luckily some branches prevented her from breaking most of the bones in her body or worse, dying.
“I’ll put on some band-aids when I get back to my room. Actually…” Sylvie reached into her messenger bag and pulled out her first aid kit. Inside was a box of band-aids and something to clean the wound with. She started to clean the wound, wincing when the sharp stinging pain came. “Okay, okay, so you’ve stayed calm, well, on the outside so far. Just keep going.” Sylvie smiled at the girl. “Anyways, I’m Sylvie. What’s your name if you don’t mind me asking.”
