A few months ago Lithaen received a letter from her parents. They told her she was allowed to pick out a pet when she improved her school grades. This was, in fact, the best motivation for the little Gryffindor she could wish for. Usually she wasn't really motivated to do her school work, but now she was. For a pet she would do everything! Well, not everything, but she would do a lot!

Lithaen tried to do everything she could do to improve her schoolwork and she couldn't be any happier when she got her first assignments back. The most beautiful grades she ever got. Outstanding! Her parents turned out te be very proud and this meant today was the day. She finally was allowed to pick out a pet at the Magical Menagarie!

Hopping from one foot to another she stood in front of the shop. The most beautiful place, according to her! "Wow!" she sighed, dreamily. "I can't wait to pick one! This might be my best friend forever! Next to Aeddie, of course." Her mother smiled and petted her hair. "And you dseverved it, honey. I do hope you'll find your best friend forever. Just like Otto and Moose, hm?"

Lithaen nodded. Otto and Moose were the cats she had at home. She still had them at home, though she wasn't able to bring them. She wasn't allowed to bring two pets and she didn't want to seperate a brother and a sister! So they were left at home, with her parents, and she could find a whole new friend. Maybe a little kitten!

When they finally entered the shop, the young girl saw many, many cute pets. Little kittens, cute bunnies, even some snakes, though she would't like to have a snake. She prefered fluffy animals! In one corner, however, was a nest of little kittens. They were the fluffiest little creatures she ever saw. "Look at them, mom!" she said. Her eyes got big and her cheeks turned red. She then giggled. "I want to have one of those!"

Her mother smiled. "Let's just see all the animals before you make a choice, okay?" Lithaen didn't listen and strode to the little kittens. "So cute!" she sighed. Her mother followed and smiled. "They are very cute! Which one do you like best?" Lithaen doubted for a second. "That one!" she then said, pointing to a little white fluffy kitten. They had a little grey in their fur, but this one was mostly white. Her mother nodded and asked the shop owner if she was allowed to hold the pet, before she'd make a choice.

The shop owner grabbed the little kitten. "I believe this is.." He looked at the kitten and then nodded. "A little girl. Here you are." He handed the kitten over to Lithaen. "So soft," she wipered. The little kitten looked at her with her beautiful blue eyes. "Her eyes can change," the shop owner warned her. "All kittens have blue eyes." Lithaen chuckled. "I don't care. I want this one. She is the most cutest kitty I've ever seen." She continued in a baby voice: "Aren't you, little one?"

Her mother turned to the shop owner. "What race is she?" she asked. "A silver siberian. They are known to be very social and affectionate. They love to play and cuddle and are very calm. She could be the perfect pet for your daughter." Lithaen looked at her mother with puppy eyes. These always seemed to work!

"Please, can I have this? Please, please, please? I would take great care of her, I promise!"
