Brooke needed to study. But she couldn't find her simple plain grey owl quill. She looked all over the Common Room, in her dorm, everywhere.

Gah! Stupid quill, where the hell are you? Brooke thought angrily. Calm down.... Shhh, be quiet, she told herself, breathing in and out before she started speaking in Welsh and before she got even more pissed than she was before.

Brooke searched again, knowing she'll find it if she just calm down and she found the quill between her mattress. So she grabbed her books, notebook, a few pieces of parchment and a bottle of ink. She walked to the Study Room, only been in there once before when she played a messy, smelly prank.

As she walked, Brooke's hair flew out behind her in swishy brunette waves, she patted her hair down to make sure there was no flyaways.

As she reached the Study Room, there was a boy inside, reading a book, probably a muggle book, she thought, jugding by the looks of it.

Brooke sat down at a table, and did some homework that yesterday in DADA, Professor Lécuyer assigned. Scratch, scratch, scribble, her quill said as she wrote notes about DADA, when Brooke noticed that her scribbling might be a little to loud.

"Er, I'm sorry for the noise I'm causing, but my name's Brookline, I hope I'm not interrupting," Brooke said, her thick Welsh voice tottering at a edge of a very large cliff.

Andy saw the girl walk in the study room. Andy closed his book and walked up to her. Hi. er... well... I am Andy. You like reading too? I am from Ravenclaw. Good thing we could get the house cup back. I think we should well... study... together... Since I came to Hogwarts, I had a lack of friends... and I really like study partners. Want to study together?
Andy walked near a desk and explained about each book he had and why it was fun and cool to him. He told the girl his favorite food, and favorite classes. Potions is my favorite class. Finished Andy. He was very exited. He might have a study partner, if the girl said, "yes." What is your favorite class? Said Andy to the girl. I know liking potions is very weird, but I just like it. It reminds me of me and my wealthy family back in Scotland. We have a private chef, and everything like that. I am just not that wealthy with Wizard money... Andy was sad because the lack of money is bad, since he can't get himself a broom and everything like that. Andy walked up to the study desk and looked up at the girl. So, what is your name?

Justin had fallen asleep while doing some homework. He jolted awake. The first-year scratched his head with a blank stare and looked down at the work he was supposed to do. The confused eleven year old wondered how long he was passed out.

Muggle school, wizard school, same thing. School is school. Justin thought as he groaned.

From the corner of his eye, he witnessed a fellow Ravenclaw girl apologizing to a Ravenclaw boy for writing too loud. She introduced herself as Brookline. He then witnessed the boy mustering up the courage to make a new friend and introduce himself as well. The boy named Andy, then nervously asked for Brookline's name again, when she had introduced herself already.

Poor kid. Justin thought to himself. The boy reminded him of his little brother, Bryant, one of the triplets. The five-year old was a prodigy in piano, but just lacked the confidence to show off who he really was.

Justin observed the girl. From the way she was writing vigorously as soon as she sat down, Justin believed that she was someone you do not want to keep distracted for too long.

Will they become friends or will the girl's patience run out? Justin thought to himself. People are just as fascinating as beasts. They are all so unpredictable. Justin smiled to himself. That was the beauty of human nature to Justin. No two humans act exactly alike, making them just as fascinating as dragons and unicorns.

Maybe they could be my new friends too. It's always nice having people on your side. Justin thought to himself. He was bored and didn't want to do school work anyway.

Justin strolled over to the scene and quickly glanced at what the girl was working on. Defense Against the Dark Arts. Earlier, the student named Andy had said he loved potions. With these two information, Justin had an idea. He gave a grin and walked forward.

"Potions, you say? Interesting. And what do we have here? Defense Against the Dark Arts? Do I see two future Aurors in front of me?"

Andy was suprised that now a second student came up to him. Uhh. Hi. Aurors... I don't think so. I personaly think that I am dumb. Even though I am in Ravenclaw... I need to work on other subjects, but I just don't, so I am bad at the rest... Andy opened his bag and offered everyone a peppermint toad. I am actually very smart not trying to brag... Andy thought, looking up at the ceiling. ...Sorry. I zoomed out for a second... now what where you two saying?Andy was sipping and eating his beloved food, not realizing that he was breaking the "no eating in the study room rules" now, he almost ate the whole bag of peppermint toads and pumpkin juice. It was the only thing Andy eats when not in the great hall. Guys, you know any place secret, in hear where no one can hear us? You like breaking rules? Like sneaking past curfew? I know the perfect place. I think the great lake will do. It has good site seeing and stars... If we go at night. Andy was lying about sight seeing. He just wanted some friends to go with him. He hoped they will not get mad at him. Well, See you at the great lake this night... or if you are a bit scared... I must say, in the common room we meet.

Brooke smiled as the boy, Andy, ranted, her dark blue eyes twinkling with beautiful golden specks. "Hi Andy," her thick Welsh accent calm and thick, she smiled with amusement as the boy didn't notice her apology. She saw a sleek black-haired boy sat up at a table not to far from thw one Brooke was sitting. She saw the boy had just wake up from a nap. Oof, he just fall asleep, how did I not notice him there when I walked in? she thought with a question.

"Yeah, reading's fun, and sure, we can study together," She continued, her eyes jerked to where Andy was sitting after she had been looking at her wand and its edges. She waited for Andy to finish talking about all the books he had.

"Nice, mine's History Of Magic, or Herblogy, Brooke twirled her wand in her hand 36 as she spoke with amusement.

Chef? What's a chef?Brooke almost asked aloud but didn't but thought it. She thought of a better way to say it. "Is a chef what Muggles call house elves?" She asked with gentleness and consideration and loads of confusion.

I shouldn't take everything for granted, Brooke thought, after Andy had finished his third rant.

"I'm Brookline, Brookline Quinn," Brooke said, her eyes twinkling in amusement, she had already introduced herself already. She set down her quill and ran a hand through her hair self-consciousnessly. She looked up at the boy and a small smile shaped her lips.

Brooke saw the boy who had been sleeping walk over to her table. Her eyes lit up, and she listened to the boy as he spoke. " Oh, not me, I'm just doing my homework, I like history more than anything," She giggled as she spoke with amusement. "My name is Brookline and this is Andy," Brooke added, as she set her gaze on Andy for a second or two.

"What's yours?"Brooke asked, her twinkling golden specks swam in her great blue eyes.

Brooke shook her head when she was offered a frog. "And just aurors," Brooke said with a shrug. "And I'll go! I've been wanting to break some more rules since I swam in the Great Lake with Liz!" She said in amusement. mentioning: @Elizabeth Stonewell

Andy was listening to the girl and Justin talk. It was really helpful to know what everyone's favorite subject is. Who is your favorite Professor, mine is Professor Regan. The potions professor. Said Andy. Andy walked around the empty room and looked at the empty bottle of pumpkin juice and the half eaten bag of the peppermint toads he offered to the girl and boy. It is a very nice weekend day, to catch up on homework. It seems we are the only people in the room, the 3rd years are probably sipping on Butter beer in Hogsmeade. Andy looked around the room some more and looked at both the boy's and girl's eyes. The magical world is amazing... If my parents where here... They are at home. Not dead. I knew that is what you thought. I live in a mansion with my family and I am really homesick. He looked at all of the candles on the study tables. It is about the time of lunch, but Andy wasn't hungry at all. The. study room was probably the best room to hang out in on the weekends if you don't have the power to go to Hogsmeade. Andy again looked at the girl, and turned away.

Good. That pointless question broke the ice. Justin smirked to himself. He looked to Andy who had just claimed that he was dumb and bad at the rest of his subjects. The boy then stopped talking and looked up at the ceiling.

He's definitely having internal monologue. Justin hid his smile. Was the boy really lacking that much confidence or was he trying to be humble?

"I'm sure you're not that dumb," Justin replied, with a nervous laugh. "Don't worry dude. I don't know how I got in the smart house either," Justin chuckled.

Just then, Brookline, replied to Justin's question earlier, that she prefers history. She then proceeded to ask Justin for his name with a giggle.

"Justin Shin," Justin replied to Brookline, gently and with a smile. "And I'd say my interests lie more towards magical beasts. Be the next... what's that guys name? Newt Salamander? I'm trying to be the next Newt Salamander."

Andy then quickly snapped out from his ceiling stare and asked for favorite Professors.

"School's school and professors are professors," Justin groaned, thinking about schoolwork.

Andy then proposed to break curfew and visit the Great Lake to sight see and observe the stars. Brookline happily agreed and stated that she was looking forward to breaking more rules.

Oh, wow. They don't follow rules much do they. How unexpecting. Justin thought. Rules were always only there as a guideline anyway, right? The two worried him a little bit however. I hope they can handle pressure if we get caught. If Justin alone got caught, he could act like he was sleepwalking and use his cute 11 year-old appearance to charm his way out of trouble. But with three others? That's not an easy scolding to escape.

Justin shrugged. "Eh... Why not. If we get caught, I think I'm cute enough to get us all out of trouble. See you guys later then?" Justin winked at the other two. "Nice meeting you guys. Here's to a fun night at the lake? I'll be there first, a little earlier. I think I need some nature to motivate me to finish my schoolwork." He looked over at the schoolwork he escaped earlier at the other table and sighed.

Justin then reluctantly went over to his study space and packed his things. He saluted the two students and left the study. As he left the door he nonchalantly began singing a song.

"Imma leave the door oooooopen," the boy sang as he strolled out the study room.

Brooke listened to the boys talk to each other, and she smiled, her golden specks swimming around her blue eyes. "Nice to meet you Justin," she said softly, and returned the smile back.

Well, I hope we don't get caught, Brooke thought after Justin shrugged. Brooke giggled and said sarcastically,"Ok, we'll leave it to you to do all the explaining, " But she smiled at the Ravenclaw to show she was joking.

Dang, this is fun, just talking, I haven't let loose since before Peter moved! Brooke thought, her eyes brighting within the second. She then saw Justin's wink, and smiled softly.

" See yeh then Justin! Good luck!!" Her Welsh accent called, her eyes brightened as she thought of breaking another rule, rules were strict, and she liked to break them. She giggled when Justin began singing. He sounds like a cool person, she thought as she flicked her gaze back onto Andy.

"Well, Andy, Imma go to lunch, have fun with homework! See yeh tonight!" Brooke grabbed her quill, books and parchment, and waved at Andy as she walked out of the Study Room. She headed to Ravenclaw Tower to dump this all in her trunk and to walk towards lunch, looking forward to night.

Elizabeth entered the room, clutching a small stack of books.
She had somehow gotten a little swamped by homework and needed to study, perhaps with other people. Normally she wasn't a little swamped, normally she was caught up.

She sat down at a table and then saw that Andy Loggins was just sitting around. Had others been here and left? Her stomach rumbled and she sighed. Of course, I'm hungry. It's almost lunch anyways. She thought and turned slightly in her seat to face Andy.

"Hey Andy, whatcha doin'? Taking a few minutes before lunch to study or what?" She asked and set her books down. "I've got some homework to do, how 'bout you?"

She flipped open her book, one ear open if Andy replied, the other, immersed in her studying. Opening her notebook to take notes and answer questions, she wrote in her notebook 'Take break after a few minutes. Need lunch.'

As she wrote slowly, she kept an ear open for footsteps, voices, chattering, noises. She wanted to know what was going on around her in case she got too immersed in studying and ended up studying the entire afternoon, missing lunch, and missing classes.

Maybe after classes, I should prank someone. I don't care if I get in trouble, I am BORED. She thought and put her head down. She wasn't tired, just bored.
