The Slytherin Table 2023-2024

Tommy breathed a sign of relief. He was finally being given a chance to make his first friend in his own house. Tommy wiped his clammy hand before extending it and grasping @Ishleen Knight 's hand with what he hoped was a firm and strong handshake, but not too strong. He still had not mastered the "art of the handshake" as his father had called it.

"It's nice to meet you." Tommy began trying to find something more to say. Tommy tried to think of the most open-ended question he could to ask Isleen Knight. "So ... uh.... what do you want to be when you grow up?" Tommy asked. Immediately, he wondered if this was the right choice. Would he seem too much of a kid to the older students that may overhear him or would this be too opened ended of question to start a conversation with?

Tommy knew it was too late now to go back on his word, so he continued to double down on what he had considered bold social interactions (given his limited experience). Tommy added "Your confidence and manners seem to ooze Slytherin, is it a common house in your family? Most of mine are sorted into Ravenclaw with the occasional Gryffindor I wonder how they'll react when I tell them I got sorted into Slytherin."
