Red Rubies (Continued)
Ruby swiftly walked behind Koko as the caramel-haired girl confidently strode forward. They were walking briskly as though there wasn't a moment to waste.
"Can.. w-we... ah.. slow down?" Ruby panted. They were nearly jogging down the halls. Soon, they reached the Great Hall. The hall was massive. It was almost hard to believe she ate her daily courses here. Oh well, she was just a typical witch walking down a monstrous room. Ruby rolled her eyes at her mental sarcastic retort. But honestly, it was awesome.
Candles floated just above her head, giant banisters hung from the walls, tables were lined with heaping masses of food, and witches and wizards alike gathered on their house tables. It was like the room was giving off a magical aura-- wait a minute- they were! Magic glistened in every nook and crevice in the large brown room.
"I love it! Ahh!" Ruby exclaimed happily. She had a feeling Koko would judge her. After all, it was nearly summer. Ruby sighed with dismay. "Summer means no school for 3 months..." She moaned to herself. She didn't really care if Koko responded; this was an awe-inspiring moment for her.
Ruby sat down at a table clear of food and plates. She sat down on the warm chair. The warmth betrayed that someone had been there recently. She chuckled to herself and faced Koko.
”So... what’s up?”

While she hadn't wanted to be followed, she certainly didn't mind the girl tagging along behind her. A pink-haired Slytherin; a Slytherin who must have dyed her hair over their Easter break. Ruby, the other girl, kept talking to Koko, but Koko kept silent. There was no reason to respond yet, and she would rather not waste her breath. Besides, she was starving.
”So... what’s up?”
Ruby had asked that after sitting at an area that was, ironically, barren of food. Koko stared longingly down the table at a plate of sweets, and then she shook her head. "Well... Can we eat first?" She was almost begging at this point. "Please?" Koko added, almost as an afterthought. Her manners had certainly been used less now that she was at Hogwarts. Koko could almost hear her stomach screeching curses at her, trying to get her to feed it. No, she thought. You can wait.
Koko, to be honest, wasn't used to all of these people at lunch. Seven different ages, so many people in one year. It could be overwhelming, even towards the end of the school year. For a moment Koko wondered how Ruby enjoyed it here, but then she dismissed the thought from her mind. Best not to ask. She might trigger an unwanted reaction from the pink-haired girl.
"So... I really need food. I feel like I will die if I don't eat. So... Can we please eat?" Koko pleaded. She hadn't felt like this in a long time. She usually didn't eat enough. Now she was indulging in the delicious sweets of Hogwarts. A smile crossed Koko's face as she realised that moving to Los Angeles with her father would mean no more days without food. It would mean no more excessive cleaning, almost like a servant. And it might mean that she could bring her sister with her.

Ruby rolled her eyes melodramatically. ”Uggggh! Fine...” she groaned. She really wanted to get onto this prank. Why? Well, honestly, she didn’t know why she was so eager to start. She figured it was because she wanted to make her mark already.
”So do you think we’ll get lucky enough to get detention?” She asked. She really didn’t care if she’s got detention or not. Her mom wouldn’t care, her brother wouldn’t have care either, but her father.... Yeah Ruby didn’t want to think of that.
Ruby brushed off a speck of dust on her shoulder. This place was dusty.
She got up and walked over to a full table and stashed some food without anyone noticing. She piled it on the table in front of Koko. ”There! Ya happy?” she sighed. She knew he was being selfish, and she’s hoped Koko wouldn’t be angry at her. ”Hmph. Fine” She got up and motioned for Koko to follow her to a table that was concealed in a blanket of food. It really did look delicious! ”Where does Hogwarts get all this food from?!” she exclaimed. In truth, Ruby's family was a higher class than regular citizens. She didn't like to brag about it, but she had everything. For years she had lived in a monstrous mansion with so many fun games to play. She loved her life there. She had got a heaping plate of food for dinner every night, and then she usually ran it off later in her personal gym. That was her favorite part of her house. She loved exercising after a long dinner. The was, indeed, quite fit. But enough about her hobbies, there was food to eat! She didn't look back to see if Koko had followed her. She sat down and tore off a piece of meat. "Yum!"

"I hope so - Gryffindor is right behind us!" Koko cut a small part of bread off from a loaf and took a bite. Yes, delicious carbohydrates. She could eat them all day if she were hungry enough.
The last time she had been in the Great Hall, things hadn't necessarily gone swell. Instead of having fun and having a wonderful meal, she had gotten burned and had to go to the Hospital Wing. That had resulted in her meeting a Slytherin and a Ravenclaw. She didn't remember their names too well, but she knew that each last name began with a C.
"Do you have anything in particular you wanted to talk about?"
