Rule-Breaking
Elizabeth grinned as she swung her bag over her shoulder and onto the bed. She and Brookline were going to skip the final class of the day and go swimming!
Grabbing her swimsuit and towel, she put her books into her trunk and put the swimsuit and towel in her bag. As she turned around and headed out the dorm, she saw Brookline exiting the common room with other kids.
Clambering out after them, she intermingled with the crowd as an urge met her. "I'll be right back, have to use the bathroom." She said and darted off in the direction of the lavatory, hoping that Brookline would get to the lake.
After going to the bathroom, she peeked out cautiously, looking for any kids who were lost. There were none so she darted forwards, quickly making her way outside and to the lake. The first-year Herbology greenhouse was empty as it was supposed to be and she quietly slipped into it to change.
As soon as she came out, she quickly sprinted to the lake and sighed with relief that Brookline was there. "Hi Brookline!" She said and waved energetically. They were in this together and they could not get caught. Brookline waved back as she stumbled down the bank and reached her. Then together, they stepped into the water.

Reducio----"Throw me to the wolves, and I'll return leading the pack,"-----The pretty Ravenclaw had only met Elizabeth a day or two ago and now they were skipping class together. Their friendship gone from acquaintance to very closer friends now that they were skipping class.
As Brookline Quinn stepped in the water she squealed quietly since it was so cold, but she forced herself to go further. She smiled at Elizabeth, happy that she can just let loose and stress was over with. Was it though?..
Brookline went under the water and got her hair wet, she came but up shivering, it was cold under there. 'I swear if I see the giant squid, I'mma loose it,' she thought to herself, her feet taking steps and squishing the soft wet soil underneath. The fish nibbled her toes and it flat like bubbles were floating gracefully.
The water felt warm now, and Brookline leaned back, thankful that Elizabeth had came up with such a great idea. But Brookline quickly got when a fish started biting her. 'Oh well, fish will be fish,' she thought, looking down into the clear water, it didn't look so clear now since there was beautiful colourful fish and the lakebed was full of shiny things, soft pebbles and a stray marble one or two. She caught sight of the beautiful trees and sighed.
Brookline held her arms up and did a cartwheel into the water, she got water up her nose but it was worth it. She hadn't done a cartwheel in years.

Rule-Breaking
Ducking under the water, Elizabeth swam to a deeper part and stood on her hands, walking back to Brookline. As she did so, she saw that a fish was nibbling at Brookline's feet as she was walking.
Wiggling her feet, she blew bubbles at the fish, causing it to dart away and watch in amusement as she continued on. Brookline let out a stifled gasp and cautiously touched one of Elizabeth's feet at which Elizabeth carefully stood right-side up.
"That was awesome!" She said, grinning at Brookline's awed face. "Wanna give it a go?" She asked, tying her hair up in a bun. Cautiously, she helped Brookline do the same thing for a few minutes before coming up spluttering water out.
They grinned at each other and dove down, careful not to stray too far from the shore. There were beasts in the water that she didn't know about and they might get hurt by them.
In a few minutes they might leave as they didn't want to be caught. Even so, this was the only time they could be cleaned of the dirt they were getting every day. Well, if they were going to be punished for skipping class, they would do it again unless the risk was getting expelled.

Brookline Quinn was her name, and she was under the water for a little too long. She liked the feeling of being underwater, she didn't know why but she kinda wanted to the feeling of drowning but she started coughing, and bubbles drifted to the top of the surface. She rose up, her nose burning.
"M-My go-gosh," Brookline coughed, choking on water and strangely her Welsh accent. Her head starting hurting. "Er, Liz? I-I need to w-warm up, le-lets go inside, sh-shall we?
"Brookline coughed slightly, starting shivering, and rubbed her arms in a vain attempt to warm herself up. But it was useless, she was wearing a bikini that didn't warm her up.
Brookline walked out of the Great Lake, shivering, and waited for Elizabeth to get out.
"Wait." Brookline's thick accent felt like fire in her throat. Her throat still burned from the water she had swallowed coming up. "How are we gonna get in there without gettin' in without a detention? How are we? How!? Did you remember to bring a towel? 'Cause I didn't..."

"Alright, we can head back." Elizabeth said and shook water off before scampering out. It was getting chilly now that it was mentioned.
"Well..." she began, "classes should be ending and people should be starting to mingle wherever so, for now, we should be fine. And yes, I brought a towel." Then she reached behind a rock and grabbed it, shaking it in case of dirt.
"There's a little hidden 'closet' of trees that we can go into to get dressed before making our way back." She said, pointing to a cluster of trees about 2-3 feet away from them. "It's close to the shore so we should be good." she said, picking up her clothes and starting to walk to the trees.
"Maybe we should have waited for a warmer day to do this. Then it wouldn't be such a cold day." She shivered and thought for a moment before saying, "Then again, we do need breaks from classes that we can't normally get." She said as Brookline stepped into the 'closet' of trees to get dressed.
As she waited, she made sure that she was hidden from view in case anyone ventured down here. Then, she said as a final remark, "As soon as you're done, you can go. Less risky that way, if you'd like."

" I'll wait for yeh, Liz, I think if we wait a little longer after yeh get dressed, I think this blasted cold wind can dry us off and we run to the Common Room as classes get let out. And anyway, I was the one who wanted to do this, if yeh get in trouble and I don't, it wouldn't be fair, so we're going together," Brooke said stubbornly in her Welsh accent and crossed her arms to show she was serious but had a kind smile on her face that showed Elizabeth that she wasn't gonna break her loyalty.
As Elizabeth went into the 'closet' of trees, Brooke kept look out, her eyes flicked this way, that way, the other way, every way, to make sure nobody was gonna come near them, and so she could tell Elizabeth. Brooke wasn't planning on getting a detention or getting expelling so she and Elizabeth would try so hard not to get caught.✩✩✩✩✩✩

Elizabeth grinned as she slipped her clothes back on, wringing out her swimsuit and towel before putting them in her bag.
"Alright, sounds good to me." She said, wrapping her school robe around her as she stepped out, into her shoes. Sheesh! It's cold today, good thing too. Better chance of drying off. She thought as they quickly shook their hair of water droplets as the wind blew all around them.
Quickly and quietly, they wove in and out trees, heading in the direction of the castle. She sighed with relief when she saw that there were all ages of kids hanging out.
"Well, it looks like we won't get in trouble. But let's not act suspiciously until we've put our swim stuff away. Then we can either get to studying or just hang out with random kids." She said and they walked inside.
I hope we do this again, it was so fun! She thought as they continued on and then she said, "Should we go again next week? It'll be hopefully more warmer then. We might even get a few more kids to join us, who knows?"
They stepped onto a staircase and it started moving. "Well, I'm going to do it again, dunno when." Brookline said and they grinned.
