The game was not going well. Before Charlie had joined in, it was already going at a slow pace, slow enough that it was slightly painful. Charlie hadn't been getting much action, but she was definitely trying. She hadn't paid much attention to AngelFrye when she was explaining the rules, because she had assumed she wouldn't be playing anyway.

out of the corner of her eye, Charlie spotted a boy with cropped, messy brown hair that was neatly parted on the side, Axyen Dragonclaw. She watched as Bailey, a fellow Ravenclaw that was a yearish older than her, sniped him with his paintball gun. She saw the paint splatter all over his nice clothing. Oof. One pair of jeans ruined, She thought. Charlie told herself that she would congratulate Bailey later, especially since she was on her team.

Making her way up the ice. Charlie attempted to hit a target near herself. but failed. hoping she would do better in the next round, she reloaded and prepared to aim at another nearby member of the other team. Charlie watched as others shot their paintballs at each other, and noticed that Colin had defintally hit Simon. She let out a short woop in the moment because well, Colin was indeed on her own team, but Simon did not look well. Charlie would have gone over and checked on him, but she knew that AngelFrye would, so she held back.

As that was happening, Colin prepared to shot another shot at AngelFrye, which to Charlie would have been comedy gold, and she would have laughed at her. someone has beeeeeefff Unfortunately for Charlie, that did not happen. AngelFrye ducked behind a bubble and prevented herself from being shot by a paintball. Charlie watched as she convinced Colin to get off the ice and go check on Lily who he was related to!? Cousin? Sister!? Charlie had no clue what was going on with that but as soon as she spotted a glimpse of AngelFrye's worried look as she was checking on her boyfriend, Charlie knew the game would be over. She'd had fun while it lasted, but as her mum's friend used to say, all good things must come to an end.

The two chattered a bit before AngelFrye made an announcement, telling everyone that Simon, the birthday boy, was not feeling good and needed to go and rest. Charlie accepted that, and was happy when she heard that she would be receiving a chocolate frog for playing. To Charlie, this practically made up for her troubles, so on her way off the ice she grabbed her frog, pocketed it, waved goodbye to Simon while she only nodded at AngelFrye.

Axyen was really focusing on the game, although it may have felt like a slow game for the other players... to Axyen, he was in a fast-paced game. Everything felt like it was moving at an intense speed and somehow, Axyen felt like he was keeping up just enough to be able to understand what was happening. 'Alright, I need to aim for the nearest person just like last time.' Axyen said to himself, not out loud though. Axyen looked down at the ice, he imagined slipping and falling on his head. Probably had the same effect as concrete would, Axyen would be hurt and then he would probably begin to tear up which is something he never liked to do in front of other people. 'Just do not lose balance...' Axyen thought to himself, but then he made a realization. 'Wait, what am I doing?!' Axyen immediately thought, he looked up. 'I need to focus and win this for my team-!' Axyen's thoughts felt like they were interrupted as he looked up to realize he was the one being targeted by Bailey.

'I messed up by zoning out, it's okay, I can still try to dodge!' Axyen told himself, as he began his attempt to move to the side out of the way. Even that went horribly, as Axyen was barely even able to move when his jacket, shirt, and pants because that paint splashed him directly in the center. As if that wasn't enough, his clothes were the least of his concerns as he began to move backwards from the impact of that hit, must've been a great hit for this effect. Axyen instantly tried to get to stop himself and it looked like he was about to slip. "W-woah!" Axyen called out, he didn't know why he verbally said that, well he did. It was simply his natural reaction to the situation, but he must've looked silly, even the slightest bit of movement made it seem like Axyen could slip up and fall. Axyen was not help himself in any way as his slip-up continued to happen, but he managed to gently lean against a bubble and use it as support. 'Phew, that was close.' Axyen thought to himself as he looked down at his clothes splattered with paint. 'At least this isn't my school uniform, so that's good.' Axyen told himself. He wasn't really mad at all, although he did sort of feel bad for the house elves. 'Well, I may as well try and get my revenge.' Axyen thought to himself. 'Actually, that sounds way too dramatic and goofy... uh... never mind.' Axyen decided to snap out of his thoughts, he aimed the super soaker at Bailey.

Axyen's first shot did not land. 'That is fine, just got to try again.' Axyen thought to himself as shortly after his second shot would not find itself landing on the intended target. 'Third times the charm... who even came up with that quote?' Axyen wondered to himself as he took his third and final shot. Unfortunately for Axyen, his 'revenge' attempt would fail as Bailey move away from the spot, swiftly moving past Axyen. 'Aw man, looks like I was unable to land anything. That's fine though!' Axyenn told himself with enthusiasm. After all, it was just a game and Axyen did not fail to realize that. He wasn't going to let himself getting splashed with paint and a couple of missed shots spoil his mood. He would simply just need to improve his aim and it'll all (probably) work out in the future, plus he had to look on the brighter side of things. 'This is some good practice for dueling, at least there is that!' Axyen told himself cheerfully. 'So I just need to be better at dodging and better at aiming. That should be simple enough...' Axyen noted, he was glad he was practicing dueling while having fun at the same time. It all ended up working out after all! Axyen decided he would look around and see what was happening with everybody else, basically spectating at this point. Axyen's brown eyes would seemingly dance around, moving from one person to the next.

Axyen's eyes shifted over to Charlie who shot in Axyen's general direction, thankfully for Axyen he was not hit and didn't really need to dodge. 'Oh boy- I should REALLY pay attention.' Axyen thought to himself, as he looked swiftly around the area to make sure nobody else decided they wanted to try and target Axyen as well. Axyen was able to thankfully conclude that nobody else wanted to target him. 'Phew, I should spectate now.' Axyen thought to himself as he glanced over Emiline was hit by the Gryffindor boy named Alejandro, Emiline took a shot back at the lion and missed. Axyen heard AngelFyre call out to Emiline, Axyen imagined himself making call outs for some reason, but even he was aware enough to realize that he just did not have that level of social confidence - or any level of social confidence outside of normal conversations.

Axyen's eyes danced over to Colin and Simon, it seemed like Colin was going to go ahead and aim at Simon. Axyen watched as Colin let out... 'A-a war cry.' Axyen was really going the extra mile to not laugh, he looked down and let his brown hair cover his face. That might've worked... if only his hair was longer, but considering that Axyen has pretty short hair, he failed miserably(only managed to cover the top part of his eyes at most). Axyen eyes glanced up, even if some of his hair was in the way, he could still see clearly enough to realize that Simon ended up getting splashed with paint. Simon fired at Colin which of course missed, and then Simon skated elsewhere. AngelFyre decided to take revenge on Simon's behalf, or so it seemed based on what Axyen could see. Axyen then began to zone out into space, his mind went to dueling.

Axyen's Daydream

Axyen was nervous, today was the day... he was going to be dueling faceless opponents with faceless teammates. Axyen looked over at the massive crowd of faceless students and of course the moderator. The moderator was shrouded in shadows, as if his or her identity was a mystery. The moderator pointed their wand above them directly, and somehow without even saying a single incantation sparks flew into the air. The duel began and Axyen was jumping right in with Incendio, sending a strong flame towards his opponent who dodged, the other opponent aimed for Axyen who dived out of the way. Axyen looks at both of his teammates and nod, suddenly a barrage of spells come from both side, making it practically impossible to see if someone was to be in the crowd. From Axyen's imagination, it was an epic intense battle that was so unrealistic it must've been inspired by some type of action book. Explosions flew in all directions and the crowd began cheering as the battle raged on. Axyen was casting as many spells as he could with rapid pace. He saw one of the opponents and knew that if he sent a spell now he could deal some damage and give him and his team an advantage. Axyen hit his target and barrage of spells, Axyen was about to knock out the second opponent, when suddenly....

Axyen suddenly stopped daydreaming as AngelFyre called for everybody's attention. A lot of bad things were happening, Lily was injured which Axyen of course knew about. Colin was out, Axyen didn't have a reaction to that, he didn't know what to think and sort of went blank at that statement. However, it was the last bit of bad news that really caught Axyen's attention: Simon, the birthday boy himself was feeling unwell. 'That must suck... having to be sick on your own birthday... I'll wish him well.' Axyen thought to himself, he felt bad and seemed to fail to come up with any other thoughts or reactions. The food and drinks were the last thing on Axyen's mind at the moment, and he had a lot to think about. On the other hand, team Gold won! Axyen was glad to be a contributor to that, it seemed to lift his mood, just by a bit. Axyen got five chocolate frogs, he loved chocolate frogs, he loved their taste, but he loved collecting all the cards he could so he could learn as much as possible regarding history. That might not have been the most expected answer, but it was what made Axyen happy.

Now Axyen simply stood around awkwardly, probably looking silly. Axyen was zoned out, basically doing nothing but thinking - a skill Axyen has mastered considering he can zone out in the middle of a game, in the middle of a conversation, basically attempting any task.

Out-of-Character Notes

Great game everyone! I hope you all had as much fun as I did. AngelFyre, if you happen to read this at some point, the game was really cool and I cannot place into words(said that since I retyped this same sentence like 20 times over now and gave up) how enjoyable this was, even if it had to put at an end early.
