Quidditch. A game Min-seo had never played before. She had never watched a game, either. She had come by herself, for she didn’t know who she could watch with. Her friend Elena was on the team, so she couldn’t ask her. She could’ve asked Sylvie Maple, a girl in her year that was quite nice. Whatever, it was too late anyways, she was already here. There was a light drizzle that morning, and it was quite cold. Min had an umbrella and a raincoat over her uniform of a black skirt with tights and her jumper. She found a seat that was pretty good in the second row. She sat down on the wet benches, thanking her raincoat for its noble sacrifice by blocking the water from touching the small girl. She hated getting wet, yet she was here. She watched the crowds get thicker as everyone was filing into the seats. She noticed the announcer and the headmaster, Professor Solomon Lear, talking. She had never met the Headmaster. It seemed that the rain was getting the tiniest bit heavier as Min blocked the rain. She would’ve been inside if it weren’t for her friends playing, plus she wanted to see what quidditch was like.

Sure, he wasn't a part of the Quidditch team or anything, but that didn't mean he didn't want to see the first game of the year.

The sky was drizzling, overcast and grey. A gloomy light shown over the stands and the Quidditch Pitch, shining over the blackened umbrellas and raincoats that spectators were wearing. Compared to the roaring, raving crowd he had envisioned, the group in the stands was subdued and quiet, squinting through the thunder and the rain to the grass below. But unlike most people, he found that he welcomed the wet cascade of droplets gracing his hair. By now, he had gotten rained on far too many times to be upset about it.

Traipsing through the rows in search of a good seat, he jostled past Quidditch-goers, searching out the place from which he'd be able to most easily see the pitch. From afar, he thought he could see a blur of brownish-tan - from the rotund figure it was most certainly Mr. Lear. By his side was a man holding a bright purple umbrella, donned in bright blues and reds that caused his eyes to water. What kind of wizard wore neon anyway?

The parrot-man settled into the announcer's box, still holding his umbrella, and began to shout in a loud flamboyant voice that carried across the stadium.
"Welcome my darlings to this year's first Quidditch match between Slytherin and Ravenclaw! I, your announcer Jasper Gemm, will introduce our teams. First for team Slytherin in no particular order: Alexx Séverin, Dan Palmer, Elena Jones, Elijah Huang, Koko Riddle, Marcia Kingsleigh, Ruby Cazares, Warren Kirkland and Geoffrey Ryan.."
He brightened at the sound of a few familiar names. He knew Koko, she was the lemon kid that he had seen on the Quidditch Pitch that day, and was crazy fast on her broom. He might've seen Elijah from afar in the Blossom Ball, but didn't remember too well. But Warren...it wasn't as if he'd be rooting for the kid to fall of his broom, but he didn't have warm feelings towards him either.

Gemm then began to shout out the Ravenclaw teams, sounding confused over the names. He guessed that the man was completely unfamiliar with Hogwarts, let alone the kids attending this year.
"And team Ravenclaw: Amanda Sparrow, Angellica Rowley, Arc Perscivious, Cecily Quinn, Emma Hill, Hengist Warbeck, Lavinia Cloven, and River Dewlight!"
Hengist...he thought, straining his mind. Oh yes! The quiet Ravenclaw boy who was good at Quidditch! He didn't speak to him too much, but could remember the boy's dark hair and unsure light eyes. Lavinia was a given, considering she was Club leader, and he knew River well enough too.

Now he really had to pick a seat. Looking around, he spotted a good position on second row. A girl was already sitting there, black umbrella hoisted over her head. He didn't wear any umbrella of any sort, and his hair and raincoat were already soaked, but it wasn't a problem. Going over to the girl, he pointed to the seat next to her. "Hey, is this seat open?"

Sylvie walked into the stands, looking onto the quidditch pitch as the players were being announced. Sylvie had never heard of quidditch before she’d come to Hogwarts, but it seemed to be very popular from what she’d seen. Sylvie was mostly here to support her friends. She knew Koko Riddle well since they’d started writing a song together. She was a beater on the Slytherin team. She also knew her dorm mate, Ruby Carazes, who was a chaser on the Slytherin team. She didn’t really know what a chaser and beater were, but she knew she would find out soon enough.

Sylvie was looking around for a place to sit when she spotted Min-Seo with a boy she’d never met. “I guess they are watching the game together...I wish she would’ve invited me, but I guess we aren’t that close... I should say hello.” She though making her way over to them.

Sylvia was wearing a dark green hoodie that was too big for her small self. She was also wearing back jeans. She was wearing her hair down with a white headband on top. The cold had made her nose and cheeks red. Sylvie stopped in front of the two students. “Hi Min-Seo!” She turned to the boy. He had dark curly hair and piercing grayish blue eyes. She held her hand out to him smiling, wanting to make a good first impression. “I don’t believe we’ve met before. My name’s Sylvie.”

Min-seo raised an eyebrow at the announcer calling them darlings. Alright then, you do you. Jasper Gemm, huh? There was no way that was his real name. I mean it could be, but it didn’t seem like it. She smiled as El was mentioned. She had met her on the train here and loved her to death. She heard Koko Riddle and Ruby Cazares as well. She met Koko with her friend Rowan Bane one day and Min thought she was quite nice. She also met Ruby in the library and Ruby gave her a pretty snake drawing. It was still pinned on her bed frame in the dormitory. Ruby was nice, but seemed a bit cold and distant. Min still liked her though. The rest of the Slytherin team she had never heard of, but she’d be glad to meet them. She didn’t know anyone on the Ravenclaw team. She had only a few friends in Ravenclaw, but today she was supporting Slytherin. She felt some water droplets fall onto her eyelashes and ponytail and she adjusted her umbrella.
“Hey, is this seat open?”
she turned around to see a boy about her age. ”Yes.” she said nodding with a smile.she turned her head to see Sylvie Maple. She waved to her. ”Hi Sylvie!”

With an enthusiastic grin, a small girl made her way to the quidditch field in a crowd of other students. Despite the showers of rain and bone-chilling winds, Marla couldn't help but feel like she was floating. Quidditch was one of her favorite things about Hogwarts, and there was no way in hell she was missing the game over some mucky weather. How could you not be interested in flying on a broom with violent rock-like objects being hurled at you?

The knit hat covering Marla's mop of red hair was already soaked, so she slipped it off and squeezed all the water out, doing her best to shove the now damp, gross mess of yarn into her pocket. She rubbed her hands together to try to keep them warm as she stepped into the quidditch stadium, weaving through excitable students, trying to find a good seat, or at least someone who didn't look too annoying. Almost every seat was taken, so Marla was a bit worried she'd have to sit on the floor (which if it came to it, she would, in fact, sit on the floor). But then, as if it were a miracle, Marla spotted a few empty seats surrounding three students around her age. Before anyone else could sit down, the girl pushed past numerous people and hurriedly made her way towards the three. As she was about to ask to sit down, she realized that one of the three people was a boy she sat with on the way to Hogwarts. A wave of relief hit Marla, at least she knew someone there, even if they weren't too close.

"Uhm... Most of the other seats are taken, would you mind if I sat here?" She asked with a hopeful look on her face. In the midst of asking her question, the announcer started speaking which made the girl jump, her face flushing almost as red as the color of her hair. "I'm Marla, by the way." She added with a small smile.

"your loss, baby !!"

With Min-seo's confirmation, he was about to sit down next to her, only to be surprised as another girl flitted over to her side. The stranger's cheeks were flushed, her green eyes twinkling and blonde hair shining with raindrops. Her hands seemed to have almost disappeared inside the sleeves of a large, deep green hoodie, and she seemed to be comfortable despite the pouring weather.
I don’t believe we’ve met before. My name’s Sylvie.” she introduced, holding out her hand.
"Hi, I'm Isaac," he replied cheerfully enough, shaking her hand firmly. Studying her closely, he watched Sylvie greet Min-seo too, and concluded that the two of them were likely both friends, and members of the same House. Which one was his guess. He had a hunch that the two of them were Slytherin, perhaps from Sylvie's choice in clothing, but it was unfounded still. He would wait and see. There was no hurry.

A flash of feathery red announced another presence, and he turned about to see another girl coming to sit in the stands. Despite the rain, she seemed to float through the air as she walked, coming towards the trio.

It was in that moment that he had a blinding flash of recognition. He had seen this girl on the train, waging a war inside her own mind, turbulent on the inside but giving little sign of it outwardly. It had seemed like several eternities ago, but like a ghost risen from the grave, she had come back. Some of his acidic feelings on that day returned to him, bubbling up to the front of his mind until he slammed them down again.

It doesn't even matter now. That's the past, old stuff. Bloody hell Isaac, just cheer up and watch the Quidditch game.

As expected, the girl, Marla, asked to join the group, as they were clustered around some of the only open seats. From up close, her golden-brown eyes and splattering of freckles stood out against the plain grey of the sky.

Glancing at the empty seat beside him, he neutrally decided to offer a seat to her, taking no mind of how she jumped after the announcer's words, or her resulting embarrassment.

"You can sit here," he said with a shrug, gesturing towards the vacant seat.

Sylvie looked onto the pitch. All of the team member were getting onto their brooms and preparing to start the game. Her face lit up with excitement. She’d never seen a quidditch match before, so she didn’t really know what to expect. All she knew was that some can take a very long time, so she was prepared to be out their a while. She decided that it was appropriate time to put her hood on her head from the amount of rain falling from the sky. She noticed another girl approach them. She didn’t recognize her from anywhere, but it seemed like the boy, who she now knew was named Issac. The girl had wavy red hair and golden-brown eyes with freckles covering her pale face. She had sat down next to Issac

“I guess I should find a seat…” Sylvie thought, looking around the stands. There were basically none left! Well, this was the first game of the year so it made some sense. There was an empty one next the Min-seo, so she decided to ask. “Are you… um… saving that seat for someone, or may i sit there to watch?” The rain started to soak her jacket, but it was doing a pretty good job of keeping her decently warm. Some lightning flashed through the sky causing Sylvie to jump out of surprise. It seemed pretty close. Well, maybe it would wear off during the match...

Min-seo adjusted her tiny hands on the umbrella. The girl had a rather petite figure, and he feet were slightly dangling off the bench and they were in sort of a demi point. She had dark ebony black hair that was in a high ponytail with a small green ribbon tied in a bow, and a pale complexion. She was startled when another girl came, red haired and freckled. She didn’t know this persons name. She waved at her as she sat down. From Sylvie’s introduction to the boy, she figured out his name was Isaac. She smiled. What an odd bunch of people. She didn’t actually expect anyone to sit next to her, but here we are. She smiled as she saw her friends, Koko and Elena shoot out onto the field. She turned to Sylvie who asked if she could sit next to her. She smiled and nodded. ”Go ahead, I wasn’t planning on saving it,” she said. She kind of squeaked as a flash of lightning came down from the sky. How the heck are the players going to play in this weather? It seemed that it was going to be too dangerous. But from what she heard, it was already pretty dangerous.

Marla plopped herself down in the seat next to Isaac with her hands wrapped around her waist. She noticed a girl with pretty black hair tied neatly into a ponytail who waved at her (Min-seo), so she returned the gesture, cracking the girl a small grin. She was determined to sit through the entire game, but it was nearly torturous to do, as she was soaked head to toe from the aggressive weather. The girl shot Isaac a grateful look, a silent 'thank you' for letting her sit there. She had a feeling that he wasn't exactly thrilled to sit next to her, but at least she was actually able to find somewhere to watch the game. And if sitting in the miserable weather wasn't enough to prove to people that Marla was set on watching the game, she'd actually done her hair today. It was tied into a low ponytail, which was now completely soaked. Her once vibrant hair that resembled fire was now a dull brownish color dripping at the ends.

As soon as the players swooped down onto the field, Marla grinned and clapped along with the rest of the audience. She was mostly cheering for Slytherin, since she was familiar with Koko, Ruby, and Warren. Mostly Ruby, who she'd met a few weeks ago when they both snuck out of their common rooms in the middle of the night. The girl watched eagerly on the edge of her seat, waiting for the game to start.
"Who're you rooting for?" She asked Isaac, trying to start a conversation. If Marla was going to sit next to him for the next hour or so, she might as well become friendly with him.

"I can't choose," he admitted with a glance to Marla, taking in the players as they got into position. "I don't really know most of 'em. River, Koko and Lavinia are okay, but even them..." he trailed off with an indifferent shrug. "I only spoke to them once or twice."

Rain dripped off the curls of his hair, sliding off his slick black raincoat. His grey eyes looked again at the players, somewhat idly this time, as if he wasn't truly seeing them. As thunder rumbled overhead, a streak of lightning lit up the sky, splitting it with a white bolt.

The storm didn't scare him much. But as the rain fell, his excitement rose up and away like steam, leaving him wondering exactly why he was at a game where he barely knew anyone in the first place. Perhaps it was because Quidditch was worth watching in itself. There was something special about an insane flying sport where loop-de-loops were allowed, and even encouraged in certain situations.

"If I had to pick a side, I think I'd root for Slytherin. They have more players, and most of them are pretty skilled. Especially Koko and Warren. They're really quick when they fly." Quick enough to steal a broom... he thought darkly before shoving it away.

"And you?"
